The hotel was nice enough for a last minute trip to the beach. The rooms are a bit outdated. The air conditioner in our room was so gross and caked with dust/mold that we cleaned it before turning it on. The elevator was the biggest downfall of all. The door would be open when the elevator would start to go up or down. You were never quite sure if you were going to make it or not. The staff was nice and helpful for the most part. Some of them were not very talkative and didn't offer assistance, but we're there when we needed them.The views however far out weighed most of the negatives. The location is nice as well. It's in a quiet end of the beach with access to the boardwalk and within walking distance of amazing food and drink options.

Our room had an amazing balcony that looked onto the ocean! So cool! It had a nice little kitchenette and a mini living room w a divider from the beds. It's a few hotels down from the start of the boardwalk, so quiet, but close to the action. Unfortunately the staff was not professional and the breakfast on our floor was very understocked and they took their time refilling. We ended up going to a breakfast room that wasn't on our floor and the workers were yelling and slamming the door to the back room. At one point, one dropped a box, scaring me, and than they all started hooting and hollering.

The room had a bit of a musty smell and could have been cleaned better. The balcony had no privacy whatsoever due to it's construction. You could see (and obviously hear very well) the people and what was going on, on each side of you. There weren't any walls, just odd partitions with wide gaps on the side and underneath. Children on either side of you can simply crawl under and be on YOUR balcony in just a few seconds, which happened. That also means any towels or chairs, etc, that you may leave on your balcony can easily be stolen. The most stupid layout I've seen. And there wasn't much of a seal under your doors. The wind howled in the hallways so badly it woke us up sounding like we were in a horror movie. I liked OC but will never stay here again.

Great location on the beach just 3 blocks from the boardwalk. Front desk was generous by issuing us a parking pass early so we could park and go to the beach for a few hours before our check-in time. The mattress on the fold out couch was wrapped in plastic, which was a little weird.

Location was great. The hotel was good. The beds need up dated for sure. The staff was really nice. All in all I would stay again. I have learned that if you want to be close to the board you pay a high price for a cheap hotel. But only in ocean city.

This place is great. It's clean close to the boardwalk. Ocean front. Easy access to the beach with 2 pools.

The staff are good people had a few laughs with them from the minute I checked in.

If you coming for the breakfast this place is not for. It's not a bad breakfast its for people who just want to grab something quick before the activities of the day. They have cereal, muffins, honey buns, fruit, coffee things of that nature.

It was perfect for me. All I need was a place to put my things. While I do activities & have a drink staring at the ocean when I'm done for the day.

We needed a room last minute on a Friday night in June and they hooked us up! Mac at the front was very nice. Great view. Would definitely stay here again!

We stayed for 4 nights. We had a oceanfront room. .our toilet got clogged we had it fixed within minutes. The young man by the name of eric .wasvery kind and respectful . Which goes for the rest of the staff. All were nice room was clean we will be staying there again.

More than helpful and amazing staff, Manager names Eric was a very respectful guy and always helped when needed. We were very impressed with clean room. Room service did good every morning with cleaning the room, I defiantly will be back next year and would recommend to anyone planning on going to Ocean City who wants to be close to the ocean in a clean and inexpensive place to stay!

Beautiful and clean ocean view rooms, The views are amazing and service is very good. The front desk staffs are very friendly and professional. There are two buildings one facing ocean and another is in front of that. Easy access to board walk and bus stops. Plenty of parking available between the two buildings. Indoor pool is very clean and has restrooms and change rooms. Good for those who stay with family. Highly recommending this and i would definitely stay here again.

I understand people come here for the beach but if you offer wi-Fi, it should work. I couldn't do simple things like check my email because it was so spotty.

Room was fairly clean but the public areas could use some cleaning. For example, the elevator floor was filthy.

Hotel had a bad smell & was not very clean. Had to ask for new sheets and pillows due to the odor in the room. Do not recommend for the future

Check in was very smooth and quick. Got the exact room that I requested. Rates are very reasonable for 1st floor oceanfront. All of the staff has been nothing but friendly and courteous. This place is in our top 3 places to stay in Ocean City, MD.

The best parts of the stay here: the view/location, the price, the parking (never had an issue finding a spot), & the indoor/outdoor pool facilities. Other than that, it was just "OK" or "good enough" for our couple days stay. The room wasn't the cleanest or most modern or most well-maintained I've been to by any means & the beds really weren't that comfortable...but having the mini kitchenette was really nice & the view every morning was gorgeous. We stayed in one of the 2 XL double bed rooms and the bathroom had a shower/tub combo which was nice if you had small kids. The balcony was pretty spacious but people are allowed to smoke out there so sometimes it kinda ruined the moment inhaling second hand smoke. There is also only a small partition between your room's balcony & the next room's balcony...so you'll likely know your neighbors. We never had any issues with any guests being too loud or the walls being thin which was good. Elevator is sketchy and not clean at all (same bottles and gum in ceiling all 3 days we were there like no one cares about it) & button light for level 3 didn't work. The continental breakfast was "good enough" - fruit, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, small muffins, bagels, oatmeal & cereal were the options we had while there (also juice or coffee). The room for the breakfast area is more like a nice breezeway - nowhere to sit at all - you are expected to take it back to your room and eat it (or take it across the parking lot to the second building where the main lobby is with tables I supposed). One of the things that surprised me the most was the lack of friendliness and hospitality from the staff. The cleaning folks were super friendly but that's as far as it went. For the travel & hospitality industry, I at least expected smiles and a "thanks for staying with us" or "safe travels - we hope you'll come back to see us again" after I signed off on my almost $400 bill....nope, nothing :-/. Overall it was the best bang for our buck for the few days - view and location was amazing (just 2 blocks from the end of the boardwalk) & it was easy access to the beach in front of the hotel (and that spot was a lot less crowded than the area around us).

My stay at the Econo Lodge Oceanfront was really nice. The staff was very welcoming, helpful and friendly. Nice rooms at a reasonable rate and family- oriented atmosphere. The only complaint I would say their advertisement for indoor pool was suppose to be heated pool but pool was not heated. I would give Econo Lodge Oceanfront a 4 out of 5 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟.

Great location, beach front and 2 blocks from Ocean City Boardwalk where you can catch boardwalk tram. Has indoor and outdoor pool. We were on 5th floor ocean front room and view was amazing. Room was decent as far as cleanliness button rest of hotel was a mess.

We go twice a year and stay at the ocean front. Not bad and good housekeeping. Just check out this morning 08/25/2017. No computer connection all week. Clerk at desk advised me many people complained also. She told me it must be the weather????. When we picked the phone up to call the desk they could not hear us. Several attempts they just saying hello but could not hear our voice. I called the front desk with my cell phone and advised them the phone did not work. Several days and phone was not fixed or repaired. Make sure if you go if you are a business man or anyone else you take a cell phone so you can contact the desk in an emergency. As far as the computer goes maybe the weather will change when you are there.?????We will go back again its a shame I spent or lost 2 days going back and forth
via my phone to my company while everyone else enjoyed the week. Still a nice place just hope things get repaired when not working.

This hotel was very nice, very clean. There are two pools, inside and out and both were well taken care of. This is a family friendly hotel, we had a five year old and teens and everyone was happy. The rooms were a good size for 5 people, we were right on the beach which was great , did not have to walk far at all. We were however pretty far from the boardwalk, 27 blocks, had to take the tram both ways.Our only complain was the room service, which was non existing, no one cleaned our room, no clean towels unless we asked for them and the garbage was not taken out, we had to do it our selves. They came once and we were getting ready to go out, asked them to return in about 10 minutes, but they never did. We were there for 4 days,I would have left a tip for the maid but she never entered our room to do anything so there was nothing to tip for. But besides that the place was great and we would go there again, but will talk to front desk about the maid service next time. All in all its a good place to stay

Ventilation in the room was poor. Rug felt dirty/damp. There was mold on the wall/ceiling in the bathroom. Ceiling tiles had holes in them and it was odd seeing a dropped ceiling in a hotel. One of the closet doors was missing. Part of the chain lock was not secured properly to the wall.
I know this was a value hotel, but it needs updating and the issues that I listed need to be fixed. Although the staff was friendly and pleasant and the location was perfect, I will most likely not stay here again.

Wonderful, roomy and clean room. Great ocean views. Only thing was the sofa sleeper was extremely uncomfortable....probably better used for young kids than adults. Otherwise would recommend!! Just off the boardwalk, so the beach was less busy.

Great hotel close to everything with amazing views. Breakfast was very poor and was not set up in designated areas. When we called the front desk they told us to go to other areas for breakfast and there is new items available for us . We had to leave and go to a different area to get basics like coffee and muffins . There was cereal but no milk, coffee cups but no coffee!

The room was decent. Very small though. I had a room next to an entrance and elevator, I will never do that again. I liked that there was an outside and inside pool. The front desk people were very nice and friendly.

Great size room for 2 people, nice bathroom, however our shower did not work. They offer menus and a travel guide. Close to the beach and to the strip. Would not let us extend our stay after we booked our room.

Though I booked a room spur of the moment. It was cheap and affordable. Love EconoLodge hotels staff at check in desk for the night booked between may 31st to June 1st were quick to know my name. Tho didn't have the funds present for a suite, I was still able to get a view of the ocean. I'd come back to this location every time all the time

The walls and windows are very thin. Could hear neighbors and cars. The drop ceiling wasn't in the best shape. It's wonderfully close to the beach, though.

Pretty legit for $80/night in Mid May. King ocean front room was clean, well stocked with extra linens and kitchen basics. The heated pool was chilly, but other than that no complaints for this bargain property.

Off season visit, so we took advantage of the lower rates. The room was clean and decently sized. Hotel staff was friendly as were the cleaning staff. The website didn't mention an indoor pool, so we didn't bring our swimsuits. Thankfully there are plenty of swimsuit stores around. All in all a very good value for the room and amenities.

The hotel is oceanfront with an indoor and outdoor pool. Also breakfast is provided for free.

For a one night get away this place is perfect. The rates were low for an ocean front room. The view was perfect! My only complaint was I got in around noon and check in was not till three, which is fine I had no problem hanging on the beach till checkin, but when I finally got into my room, it didnt even seem like it was cleaned. Why make me wait 3 hours when you obviously weren't going to clean the room?! it looked like someone came in changed the sheets and left. There was garbage on the floor and still in the trash can, the bathroom sink was a mess and did not have any soap, conditioner or shampoo (couldn't even wash my hands). All that was left was a used bottle of lotion (gross). Since i was only there for a night and did not feel like wasting the time at the front desk I just used my travel Clorox wipes for the sink and raided the maid cart in the hall for soap. Overall, for $65 oceanfront on the boardwalk, plus clean sheets, it was exactly what I expected. I would stay there again.

The room setup was great on the upper floors. GREAT view of the ocean, and when traveling with the little ones this hotel having the fridge and small kitchen area actually saved us a bit of money when it came to buying snacks and meals. My girls loved the indoor pool. The back building we stayed in gave a more secluded feel, very private and I must say they didnt mind bringing many towels and the staff was very accommodating. Breakfast was the same, honey buns, cereal and fruit but the kids didnt mind that. We actually went back a third time because of the great experience from the second. I like that they have a pullout sofa in addition to the two beds. We easily fit our family into the room, with plenty of sleeping space! Room Tip: Great Ocean View From the Upper Floors.

I gave it a 3 star because of the location and the view from the balcony. We left the room about 10 am, returned about 2:30 pm and the room had not been cleaned or sheets cleaned. We were there Sat to Mon and no one came the whole time until we were going to the elevator to check out. I went to the cart and got clean towels myself. The patio door lock was broken and we had to wiggle and use a lot of force to try to lock it. The carpet was wet by the door too. Could not get the air conditioner to work and stay on the entire first day. The bathroom was ok but dirt was behind the toilet and had accumulated on the baseboards and registers. I took wet napkins and cleaned the dirt. Carpet was very sticky too. The employees were very nice though. I'm not sure about staying again, but if the room was cleaner and the bedding was changed, I might have felt better.

Great location. Loved the balcony, even facing the city. This is also one of the few hotels with continental breakfast. However everything is dated and rather dirty (images attached): sticky carpet and TV remote control. The indoor pool is under used, chlorine-scented and equipped with dirty public restrooms; I think it should be replaced with breakfast area/kitchen. Frankly, having two pools right next to the ocean doesn't make much sense to me, but that's common around here. My mother gave it two starts.

I'm here now September 8. Fourth floor room beautiful view of the beach and ocean. Friendly staff. Willy at the front desk could not have been any more helpful. Great rates this time of year. $108 per night during the week. I have not run into the cockroaches or unfriendly stuff that other people have mentioned. Towels are cleaned right across the hall. Carpet cleaners and bug guys were here yesterday spraying the halls. Nice outside pool. Haven't been to inside pool Room is comfortable and quiet. And spacious, with sleeper sofa, coffee table and small table to eat at. Has refrigerator microwave, toaster and extra sink. Also silverware dishes and glasses. Breakfast is adequate. Comfortable beds, four pillows on each bed.Safe in room. I've been to nicer places but not for this price on oceanfront, and so the five stars. I spoke to Many guests who
returned here from previous years.

We had the nicest cleaning lady, Barbra. She went above what we needed or expected. My son loved the pools, the view was great. Having the kitchenette was great and had silverware, plates, cups, ect. We would defiantly stay there again.

Excellent! Rooms look remodeled. Beck access is quick and easy. Our trip we assumed late at night and obviously didn't have much of the next day to spend at the beach. So in the morning I asked the front desk if we could stay late. At first he offered noon (while nice, it's my daughter's birthday and I promised the beach darn it). I asked is there a fee I could pay and stay just for the day. He did and he said "stay as long as you like". Granted this was off season (mid may), but kindness goes a long way. I'll be back for sure!

It is one of the best hotels I have been in

It was an okay hotel the beds were old as they sank down do the box spring. The elevator was tiny. Overall it was a okay place to stay friendly staff that I talked to and we got there at 8am and they let us check in.

But sleeping in the bed was not for us around 4 am we packed are stuff and left for home. The beds were the worst part of it all.

Decided to stay here over the Fourth of July. We stayed in the ocean front building. The rate was great! The room was comfortable, and ample size. It had two double beds and a couch that pulled out to a bed. We had 5 people staying in our room, and it was well suited for us. The view from the 5th floor was phenomenal. The reason I only give this hotel a 4 star is for two reasons. The shower was awful! The shower heads need replaced ASAP. The second reason was I didn't think the maids were friendly AT ALL. However, The front desk people were very nice. Overall I would stay again next year if they fix their shower heads. Also the room was not "dirty" but the maids need to clean the bathroom more thoroughly.
