We stayed at this condominium time share, Kamaole Sands.. Beautiful views and spotless immaculate rooms, 2 baths, 1 master bedroom and kichenette, living room with pull out bed, lanai.. Awesome pool and 2 hot tubs.. Close to shopping events and restaurants.. Everything was pretty much walking distance very close to the beach

Beautiful grounds. Very friendly & helpful staff. Our group rented two suites which were quite differently finished, one much more upgraded and had a larger lanai than the other, but they cost the same. We really had no complaints on either room but that part did seem odd. Both units included extras such as beach toys, seats, umbrellas, boogie boards and snorkeling gear, which we enjoyed at the beautiful Kamaole III beach right across the street. The facility itself has great amenities. The kids really loved the luau at the pool each Wednesday afternoon. The parents enjoyed the Mai Tais! 😊 we found both guests, residents and staff to be very friendly and all happy to share tips on sites to see and places not to miss. Definitely one of the top on our "must return to" list

Love this resort! Great pool and so close to the beach and local restaurants/shops. The beach across the street is perfect for swimming and lounging and watching the sunsets. Beautiful grounds, amazing views. Would definitely stay again!

Staff everywhere was friendly, helpful & very efficient. The landscaping is gorgeous and staff keep it looking meticulous.

Our favourite condo features were the ceiling fans, A/C, beach chairs and beach umbrella.

Stayed here for 2 weeks with 6 adults and 2 toddlers. It was a blast. Awesome location. Lots of things to do. Very helpful staff. We very much enjoyed ourselves. They keep the units pretty up, considering the turnover of people in and out. The place is pretty busy.

2 bathrooms and a very spacious living room area. Nice lanai, kitchen had all the tools we needed. The only issue was that there was no air conditioning in the bedroom but they had 3 fans. There was ac in the living room. We were on the first floor but I heard someone complaining in the office that they had 2 floors, the top floor was a loft, and they said it was unbearably hot.

We have a beautiful condo on the fourth floor with a view of the beach. Very clean and well-kept. Shared facilities are very clean, and Marc at the activities desk is superb. Highly recommend staying here.

Condo was very nice and well kept. Everyone was very polite. Especially the pool attendant Tree who was very welcoming and brought a fun-filled vibe to the pool area. That man deserves a raise. Got the place through PMI Maui (property management). The unit/condo we rented is bldg 3 ground floor rm 103. The unit was clean, comfortable, and across the street from Kamaole sands beach III. The condo was fully equipped plus it has all the things you needed from the beach (beach chairs, cooler, umbrella, boogie boards). We truly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend, esp of you are traveling with kids.

I love the access to the beach, and the town of Kihei has excellent food options. The location is central to the island of Maui, and the resort is affordable with nice facilities. I especially enjoyed the super-clean grill where I cooked some local fish with my grandson on Tuesday. ☝

First time staying here (we usually stay in Waelia), because it's less noisy and packed with people. Great resort located across from Kamaole Beach 3 makes it very convenient to enjoy the waves, however better snorkeling at Kamaole Beaches 1 & 2. One regular sized pool, which gets very crowded at times. Overall, very nice, and we will be back. Our unit is lovely, completely renovated, and perfectly priced for a family of 4 (1 bdrm, 2 ba)!

We just finished a 9 night stay here. We had a 3 bedroom condo on the top floor of building 1. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again. The room was very well maintained and air conditioned and suited our needs perfectly. The grounds were beautiful, the pool was great and had a nice snack bar with lunch food. The beach across the road (Kamaole III) was a wonderful and relaxing spot for us all week (though if you want to snorkel, do so between 6 and 9am before the waves stir up the silt). Like I said, we would not hesitate to stay here again particularly if we brought our family back again.

Nice place, very spacious. Reasonably priced considering it's Hawaii. Not a fan of the huge complex though, but I would definitely recommend.

We spent 3 days at this resort to attend our sons wedding. This a nice place to stay while on the south side of Maui. The rooms are spacious and clean but somewhat dated. It's not as luxurious many of the resorts on the island. The pool area doesnt offer any view of the ocean as it is at back of the resort. However, Cam 3 beach is across the street so you don't have to drive to the beach. Overall, this is a good value for a short stay.

Great location. Pool was nice. Every condo is different so can't comment on that. Beach across the road is one if the best for smaller children. South Maui is great.

Very nice complex with great security. The condo we rented was superb and the check-in service was awesome! Love the close beach access and a shower/shoe wash station right inside one of the gates to the complex.

Great location. Great price. Good rooms. They are painting and doing some work now which I would say is good but for where you are and the rate it's really a great spot.

Had a very nice stay in 4 nights here! Beautiful and clean, 5 min walk to the beach, and the employees are very respectful. Highly recommend this place if you’re staying in Kihei.

You get what you pay for. Mediocre accommodations. Our condo had a very outdated look and WiFi that was very spotty. But it was clean and in a great location.

We stayed in Kamaole Sands early December and had a most wonderful time. Our condo was absolutely perfect and charming.Everything you could possibly want was provided for a fun day at the nearby beach- stacks of beach towels, cooler, umbrellas, snorkel stuff, boards and beach chairs! The place was clean with nice kitchen- loved the fun plates! The bed was very comfortable. The grounds were beautiful and a close walk to the beach to see every lovely sunset!

I've been going to these condos since I was 10. It's very family friendly, right across the street from Kam 3 (one of Maui's best beaches), and the condos are great, with a kick-butt layout and the gardens are amazing. It's easy to get in and out of the lots, and they're very friendly whether or not you rent from them or from another agency, like vrbo.

I wish they would put shade above the pool and kiddie pool, because the sun is pretty rough around the time where it becomes popular (in the afternoon when people are back from the beaches). lt becomes uncomfortable without any shade. There is a place where you can grab a lounge chair in the shade if you get there at the right time.. but still, I'm more thinking about the kids.

And unless you get a corner unit, if you get a 2 bedroom, they give you loft on the 4th floor. The loft is open to the noise in the living room below and gets uncomfortably warm in my experience, so I'd suggest that if you want a 2 bedroom, pay the extra for a corner unit. There, the second bedroom is beautiful, closed off, and has its own balcony. Pretty luxurious. Even the 1 bedroom places, though, are awesome. I've never been in one without a murphys bed or pull out, or both, for your kids, and the apartments all have 1 and 1 3/4th baths. Which is quite nice! Remember, too, they're mostly, if not all, privately owned, and the design and what the owner provides (coolers, umbrellas, chairs, beach towels) vary very widely unit to unit.

Still, they make the ideal vacay homebase on Maui!

Great location across from the beach. We are staying in a 2 bedroom 2 bath condo with a full kitchen. A little outdated but everything is clean and tidy. We are enjoying our stay here.

This is a five star property. There's a Beautiful swimming pool and hot jacuzz.
The condos are large. And of course, much larger than a hotel room. They have a full kitchen. Large living room. And the bedroom or bedrooms seem to be separated from the living room for privacy and a more spacious feel.

Very nice rooms, great service, reservation staff was having some issues, but good overall

It's nice enough for a short vacation but would not want to spend more than a few days here. Fwiw they are serious about no towels on the railings.

The condo we are staying in is very nice. The only reason I am iving it four stars is because we have found quite a few bugs in the condo. The staff is very friendly.

Room was great. Check in was a breeze, and location couldn't be better. Across the street from a great park and the beach.

Condos are dated... Very old furniture - door doesn't really close, TV of 1990 in bedroom... and 200$ of "extra charges" for several Stuff you don't need... (includes the "wesnesday mai tai party" fees even if you are not there on wednesday....
i stayed 1 month in Hawai... never see that elsewhere !

Good location. The beach right across the street is amazing, saw turtles there this morning. Facilities are okay; tennis court is nice but gym is pretty dated.

This was the best place to stay. After touring the island all day, it was nice to go back to the room and it be peaceful and relaxing. Loved It!

They have a heated kiddie pool that my 2 year old went INSANE for. There's a park nearby too, where the locals like to drink and grill. Sunsets are nice. It was EXPENSIVE (jesus christ!) but probably worth it, especially since we were travelling with a little kid. This trip would have been miserable without a solid place to call our own.

The Kamaole sands is a relatively large vacation condo complex located in South Kihei. My wife and i stayed in a one bedroom garden view condo. The condo was more spacious than we expected and has a pullout couch in the living room, so it can comfortably sleep 4. It has a small kitchen, 2 bathrooms and a washer and dryer. The pool area is nice and has 2 hottubs that were relatively busy at night. The concierge has an island orientation every morning that is pretty informative and they also raffle off 2 for 1 activities.

It is directly across the street from the ocean and there is a perfectly fine beach park literally right in front of the complex. Many amazing south Maui beaches are a short drive away. There are also multiple restaurants a short walk away. We love Kihei and would stay at the kamaole sands again!

We were very close to the beach and made it very convenient for us. There were also many restaurants nearby which was nice. The rooms were very spacious. The only complaints were the ants and the humidity in the rooms.

The staff are very helpful. We had a misshap with our reservations from our travel agent but the staff here were very accommodating to help us get settled. All units are individually owned, so it's hit and miss for each room. Some units are very dated while other are updated and very clean. The grounds are beautiful, very close to beach, pool. And hot tubs are great. Bbq areas for guests to use, and free WiFi.

Facilities are excellent. Staff is exceptionally helpful. Rooms are hit and miss, some are really nice, others not so much. Location is perfect, right next to the Beach, and a short walk to shops.

Quiet, very clean and tidy. You won't hear your neighbors. Directly across from a very, very nice beach and snorkeling area. Excellent lanais, barbecue grill pits, pool etc.

Wir hatten das Castle Kamaole Sands als Hotel gebucht. Das ist es nicht. Es sind Ferienwohnungen, die verschiedenen Eigentümern gehören, aber zentral vermietet werden. Irgendwie komisch in anderer Leute Wohnung zu wohnen.
Wir hatten ein Appartement mit einem Wohn-, einem Schlaf- und zwei Badezimmern. Neben dem Balkon mit seitlichem Meerblick verfügte die Wohnung auch über eine voll eingerichtete amerikanische Küche und eine Waschmaschine mit Trockner. Das alles auf einer großzügigen Grundfläche.
Auch hier ist die typisch amerikanische Klimaanlage sehr laut und bedient unverständlicher Weise nur das Wohnzimmer.
In der Anlage gibt es einen schönen Pollen und mehrere Grillstellen mit Weber-Gasgrills.
Da es sich um Ferienwohnung handelt, gibt es keinen täglichen Zimmerservice.
Eine Resortfee von 35$ (u.A. gutes WLAN) und eine Reinigungsgebühr von 85$ kommen noch dazu.
