Three Peaks is the perfect walking distance equally between the beach and the Heavenly Shopping Center. Their pool and hot tub was great for after naptime when my kiddo still wanted to keep swimming, but I didn't feel like being in the sand again. There are more posh places to stay, but our King Suite was comfortable, roomy enough, affordable, and the location was perfect. We'll definitely choose to stay here the next time we return to S Lake Tahoe.

This is a very pet-friendly facility. Rooms are comfortable and location is walking distance from restaurants. Parking is very convenient and liked the cabin/wooded area feeling. The total experience we got was worth the price.

The room itself was nice. 10 min walk to the beach. Good location. The downside is that the air-conditioner didn't work properly so we couldn't sleep because it was too hot. In addition to that people above us couldn't stop walking so their stumps and squeaky floor kept us awake as well. I cannot recomment that place because sleep is the most important thing for me when I am travelling.

Nice hotel, great clean rooms. Good rates for dogs, $25 a night. Hot tub wasn't very hot though and the private beach they give you a pass for DOES NOT allow dogs. The beach bar nearby does allow them though.

Room was OK at best. Stove didn't work but was fixed after maintenance came in. AC wasn't cold enough... Safe was locked... Floor a little sticky. Good thing is the beach close by is included and is nice. Good location, central to the downtown area.

Isaac at the front desk is awesome! He helped us get a room for the evening and was so professional. My family felt very welcomed and the accomodations were comforting. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Cooperative staff and friendly service. The rooms are clean. Walking distance from cafes and restaurants.
The highlight was the jacuzzi in the room (there's one in the common area near the pool for guest's use as well).
I give this great place 4 stars, only for one tiny drawback: then roof and walls. People walking on the floor above you is audible, and sometimes quite disturbing.
But other than that, it's a great place!
And, extremely dog friendly!

Prime location, two blocks from the heavenly gondola, three blocks from the beach. Decent sized single rooms, nicely decorated. Good sized TV's. They allow dogs, so that's cool. Front desk staff was very helpful. Pool open seasonally.

Great little place. Nice sized room with full kitchen to include dishes. Had a fireplace you can get firewood from the front desk. Nice hot tub. Had pool but it was closed because it's seasonal and it's still to cold for a pool. Staff was friendly. I would definitely stay again if I'm back in the area.

Dog friendly is a big plus. The rooms are getting a little run down. rate the maintenance a 7 out of 10. Service has to be requested - not automatic. Lots of Little things wrong here and there. I did not enjoy room 506 and connected room 506a. Not as nice as previous rooms used last year in the same building. Needs more silverware in the draws, three of each is not enough for 4 people. Could have used a spheghetti strainer. We ran out of toilet paper and towels on day 3 of 4 :-(. We should automatically get more without having to ask for it. All in all it is been lowered to rating OK - it's not great like it used to be. PS. I went to the front desk to request service and the night shift girl was smoking a joint at the front entrance door - she tried to hide it but the smell was super strong - not cool while you are on the job.

Stayed here over the weekend. I got the king bedroom which was very nice and updated. Really close to restaurants, shopping and the gondola. My brother also stayed here in one of the suites. His suite however was not updated and had a fireplace that did not work. Luckily his cooling/heating unit was working to warm up the suite. Overall great experience. Hopefully the suites will be updated the next time we visit.

Cozy and comfortable. Convenient location to Heavenly resort and downtown. Most importantly, it is one of the very few hotels allowing pets. Although largely dogs, cats are also welcomed here. Parking lot isn't spacious, but has enough spaces for all staying guests.
The one-queen bed room I stayed was well facilitated. Fully functionally kitchen and fridge, with a dining table. TV had cable channels. The bathroom had a full size bathtub to enjoy a nice bath. Nothing fancy, but also nothing broken or dirty. In my opinion, it would take significant more effort to keep rooms clean for a place accepting dogs.
Walking distance to lakeside and Heavenly. Had a great fun walking my cat along the quiet neighborhood full of beautiful, white snow a few years back -- though she gave up walking after about 300 ft. Walking to Heavenly plaza is roughly a 5-10 minutes walk in snowboard boots, on a slightly uphill straight road.
Pricing-wise, it is roughly about the same compared with other similarly quality hotels/Inns nearby. Requires booking deposit. Unless you/your pets make a big mess, they only charged a little extra for each pet per night.
Overall, my two-time stays here were both enjoyable and comfortable, and so were my cat.

The rooms are very nice and the staff is efficient. They even called near check out time to offer us baggage assistance. Also loved the patio.

Very nice place. Would and we'll will come here again. The reason I didn't give it at Star is the house keeping. Dirty ceiling fan, not dirty sheets but stained, and the counters were not cleaned properly. But with that said it is a very comfortable and Basically place. I understand the help have very little time and have to rush through the cleaning process so a little break is given.

We had the room with the king size bed, a full kitchen & the real wood fireplace. They sell you wood in the office for $15 a bundle. We ended up getting a big box at Safeway for $17. All of the staff except one lady in the office were friendly & helpful. The price was reasonable. Great location. Right across the street from Heavenly Village. We will definitely be staying here again.

My family and I (mother, brother, sister, brother-in-law, and niece) stayed here for a few days during the summer of 2011 or 2012. Our room was quite nice, though a bit small. My sister's family complained about the bed frames being broken which caused it to be hard to sleep.

We never used the pool, but enjoyed the pool table in the lobby. We loved how close the motel was to the Heavenly shopping center as well as Stateline, NV where the casinos were. Quite a value considering the price.

We were in a suite with a king bed. Very nice to have a fire in the fireplace last night as we're had a few inches of snow . Would definitely stay again with our dog and recommend for other dog owners.

They were very kind and good service. The cabin we stayed in had new beds and bedding. Very comfy. It accommodated 8 of us comfortably. The cabin is in need of some major updating, but had a great fireplace and wooden theme. They a very pets here any size which is a major bonus
Location is great.

We had a great experience at this hotel! My boyfriend and I decided last minute to go to Tahoe on a Saturday, I knew getting a room that was nice was going to be mission impossible. However, we found 3 peaks on Priceline and booked a deluxe king room. Upon arrival we were told that they upgraded us to a Jr deluxe king suite! We were thrilled. Our room had a king bed that was soo comfortable a ceiling fan and an awesome AC unit. We had a "living" room with a ceiling fan, and a TV along with a microwave and a mini fridge, and the couch turned into bed, there was also a HUGE deck the connected the living room to the bedroom. This resort is also pet friendly which is amazing if you have animals like ours that need medicines twice daily. Next time we come to Tahoe we will definitely be coming back and bringing our fur babies!!

Only place in Tahoe that would accept a cat. If you leave your pets alone in the room (and they find out) they will fine you $300. They were a bit unorganized based on what the few people ahead of me in line were saying to the clerk but we got our room no problem. We had to move the furniture around in the room to allow the pullout sofa-bed to sit flat AND not block the door. Great rustic feel and it has an awesome community double tier hot tub; the pool is also heated. Overall, the rooms were snug, slightly dirty, but pleasant. The pool and hot tub are great! The service is... meh.

This place is a great value for somewhere within walking distance of Heavenly. The rooms could really use some updating, are cramped and a bit shabby. We had a couple stained towels, but otherwise the bed and linens were clean and that's what is most important to us. Having the kitchenette in the room is useful, and let's us save some money by not eating out for every meal.

It's great that they're so dog friendly, so next time we're on a budget and need to bring a dog (or cats!) we'll come back. Overall this is a good place to stay in South Lake when you're traveling on a budget.

The name of this place is kind of misleading. It's more of a motel. It's great for dog owners. The rooms are standard as expected; clean, tv, new towels, etc. The main office has a pool table, but it's only available when the office is open. The pool is heated perfectly. The two jacuzzis are really nice. The "beach club" isn't that great. It's just a beach with a bar area by the parking lot, you can't take alcoholic drinks on to the beach. The beach is great for families though! Overall it's not a bad place to stay. Just don't expect an actual resort and beach club like it is Cancun

Its dog friendly, staff is amazing, rooms are clean and newly remodeled... But most all all the small pool sized double Jacuzzi with waterfall coming from top jacuzzi to the bottom one is something you can't find anywere. So amazing

Good hotel. Nice pool and hot tub with a waterfall. Some of the rooms are small but still nice. Close to the marina which is a pretty decent beach.

Nice location. You can walk to heavenly in 5 minutes. Prince is reasonable. The only complaint is that the noise from showering be it yourself or from your neighbors are insanely loud.

Front desk manager Kevin was super nice and helpful. Room is clean and roomy (also Poolside Suite has nice sized jacuzzi in the room). The room was a little chilly but the hotel offers space heaters for free at the front desk.

We stayed one night at 3 Peaks Resort & Beach Club, and had the best night's sleep in the softest beds! The room was well-cleaned, cozy and had a wonderful, small cabin feel. They are also dog-friendly!

This place is wonderful! Especially if you have your furry companion with you. They are the most dog friendly hotel I have ever been to and the staff was so nice and friendly. I felt at home for the 3 nights I stayed there. It is also within walking distance to Heavenly and the lake! I will definitely stay here again. OH and the hot tub is HUGE!

Very nice. One of the better hotels I've stated at in Tahoe. I was actually here a few years back and they've remodeled. New property manager at the desk was friendly and seems to be doing well with the upgrades. Thanks and would definitely come back again

3 peaks is amazing I couldn't imagine staying anywhere else while in tahoe. The rooms are beautiful, updated tv's and fireplaces. The staff has been extremely accommodating and friendly since the moment I drove into the parking lot. My family and I are staying here while our house is being renovated for a couple days and I couldn't be more happy with our set up . if your looking for a place for your stay in Tahoe 3 peaks will not disappoint.

The desk clerks were fabulous, the room looked lovely, and the hotel has no pet restrictions. Excellent experience that was only marred by the ancient, lumpy mattress. I think I might actually have had a spring poking me, and my sister said hers wasn't much better. I'd definitely stay here again at off season rates.

We were upgraded from a king parlor suite to a 2 bedroom town home. The room is nice, but a bit smokey smelling due to the fireplace. The front desk has been very nice the times I've spoken to them. The rooms are a bit outdated but manageable. I'd probably stay here again if I found a good deal on a room.

Checked in to a one bedroom suite. Appears recently remodeled. Tastefully decorated. The bed is an ACTUAL king size bed, something you can't always count on. The bed is also surprisignly comfortable. Pull out bed not so much, but that is to be expected. The bathroom is oddly broken up into three seperate spaces: toilet, down the hall shower/tub, and external to that sink. Minus one star for mild musty odor near the bathroom and some old linens for the pullout that should be retired. Overall, at this point into our trip I would return.

The stay was average. Room was small and not as nice as the photos. We were supposed to get a gas fireplace, but didn't. It did have a nice tv though, along with a microwave and fridge. The outdoor pool and hot tub was nice, although was also starting to show its age.

Love this place! So conveniently located. Right by the beach and the casinos and Heavenly Mountain Resort and dog friendly and the best service. Deon is awesome, definitely knows what he's doing and what the whole town is doing. I watched him juggle many tasks at the same time and he performed with precision and grace....something rare in Tahoe. Can't wait to come back!
