As a vegan I can remember only one item on their dinner meal that was suitable and I gotta be honest it tasted terrible. I never ate more than a a few bites of it. Fried eggplant with sided vegetables...Hopefully throughout their current renovations (written September 29th 2017), they introduce vegan suited meals that are low in fat, high in carbohydrate, and actually taste really good. If your a vegan staying at the Amora Hotel, I'd reccomend eating out or ordering in. I think this is something the Amora could totally learn from. Otherwise the central location is primo! 👍

We stayed here just before the quake. We requested a quiet room and they gave us a room with all the air conditioners based outside our window on the awning. Changed our room and then we had rattling windows thats weren't sealed. Gave up but they did try to accommodate us. Helpful staff. Good breakfast.

Big hotel in best location with everything you can expect. Nice big rooms and friendly staff. Car parking was closed and not mentioned on website. Better you check for alternatives upfront.

I was invited here for a Chocolate experience event. Oh my. It was a lovely evening. The staff are so kind and courteous. I loved the atmosphere even if I didn't actually stay in the hotel. (I only live up the road) Lovely place.

We went to the Grill last night for dinner and found the Amora to have a really quite and nice dinning experience. The waitress was very polite and had a good understanding of the menu and wine list.

The Food was to a high level , the Venison was the best i have had in any restaurant and we found the whole dinning experience very pleasant. The pricing is very good for the quality of the meals.

Would recommend this place with out hesitation .

The hotel was good and clean. Kinda like any other 4 star hotel. I was received well and checked in promptly and the staff were friendly and helpful. Why I gave it only three stars was for two things. The King bed that I got was a joke. It's huge and had a king mattress alright. It just looked like two twins joined together and had a hard frame in the middle which means you can't sleep over it. Yeah you have a king bed. Please just use it like a twin and sleep on either side. The other thing which was an even bigger one for me since I am going to be staying here for the next two weeks for work is that their internet is a useless. This is the first time I even bothered myself to do a speed test and that itself had issues connecting. 0.19 Mbps and because it routes through their firewalls or whatever crap their internet provider had on it, it takes forever to load any web pages and most times it just fails because it is too slow. This is the worst internet that I ever had at any 3 star + hotel that I ever stayed. I am going to find other options for my internet tomorrow.

Stayed at the Amora during a honeymoon trip to New Zealand. The manager very thoughtfully upgraded us to a Club room and left us a nice card and chocolates. All the hotel staff were exemplary in their politeness, friendliness, and helpfulness. The Club room was absolutely lovely, and really made our visit to Wellington a memorable one. I would heartily recommend the Amora.

Stays here have always been great. Nice clean modern rooms with big bathrooms. The breakfast downstairs was a bit on the average side though.

Our suite was absolutely amazing! Huge & spacious.
Helpful staff & great food.
My wife & I stayed here back in 2012.
The museum & a whole heap of restaurants on the pier are literally just across the road.

Staying in room 115 on a Family pack. Excellent hotel from the moment we entered (here with my husband and two toddlers) and just absolutely brilliant when we got into our room, the attention to detail on our rooms interior is magnificent. We are loving our stay and intend to use Amora again.

A great place to celebrate your wedding reception in Wellington. Can easily seat larger weddings, close to Wellington nightlife and the waterfront for out of town guests, and they have the facilities to cater in house for your event.
The view from cocktail bar is awesome. A great secret spot for bridal party photos.

Have not been in for years. Started on the top floor so the view was impressive. Overall not bad but really there are better options for the money.
