We used to vacation here when I was a kid, so it was very nostalgic to go back with my own kids. Centrally located, on water, and two pools make Lakeland Village a great place to stay in Tahoe.

These are vacation rentals, do don't expect the usual hotel amenities. However, a full kitchen with a full sized refrigerator is a big benefit for a family on vacation.

Lakeland resort was a low key resort that has a lot of perks. They offer a complementary shuttle that will drive you anywhere within 2 miles of the resort. During non-holiday weeks the shuttle comes very quick, on weekends and busier times there was a little bit of a wait. The group I traveled with age ranges between 25 and 29 so are standards are average. The beds were OK but the staff were very responsive and helpful! Depending on the location of your rental house you could have a really nice view of the lake but if you’re not on the lake the walk is just a few steps away!

Wide accommodation options close to the lake. Some are directly on the lake with excellent views. The receptionists were nice & cooperative. The bus driver however was actually rude and that is why I gave 4 instead of 5 stars.
The house we stayed in had full kitchen, dining & living room apart from the bedrooms. There was no grill equipment available.

The property is situated right on the beach and has a great view of the lake. It also has multiple swimming pools including one for kids. We stayed in a one bedroom suite which was quite comfy. The kitchenette is extremely handy if you are traveling with kids. There are also a few really good restaurants within walking distance of the resort. Resort staff is friendly and are happy to help when you ask for anything.

Let me start by saying they have the best shuttle service around. We were in the condo units looked like private owner. 3 levels with kitchen and bathroom. Parking was right outside the unit. Two pools and one minute walk to the lake. Had a great time.

Company has just changed ownership and sold to Vail. The transition does not appear to be completely smooth as a lapse in security has led to public occupying the resort beach and leaving canopies and chairs all over the beach. Previously, only guests of the resort were able to stay and have beach access. Otherwise, this a typically a beautiful place to stay. Unfortunately, it has been extremely overcrowded during our stay due to lack of regulation. Two nice pools, plenty of rentals for lake vehicles, and within close driving distance to all nearby attractions. My Family has been staying here for decades and has loved the scenery provided here

Great place to stay especially for families. Beach is beautiful, paths are great for scooters, truly a special place to create memories. Staff is incredible. My main complaint... NO RECYCLING!!! Step up to the plate! Unacceptable this day in age. Second complaint is the internet is horrible. Not that we NEED to be plugged in all the time, it just makes it very difficult for guests. This needs to be fixed.

We had such a marvelous time here. Everyone was so great. We used the shuttle a lot this time, as we had one car and were involved in separate activities. Every thing was great.

Great resort right on the lake with a beautiful dock and lots of beach space. Close to everything in South Lake Tahoe so very easy to get around. Highly recommend if you are looking for a good gathering spot for the family

We stayed just one night. The room was clean and quiet with a small full kitchen. The front desk staff was very nice and helpful. My only problem was the bed was disappointing. I would stay again though.

Loved the 2-story loft room. Kitchen fully stocked with coming utensils and dishware. I didn't expect cleaners to clean and run the dishwashers for us. Nice location. Large jacuzzi. Sauna also available.

Got upgraded into a wonderful room and location after booking through Hotel Tonight. It had a nice kitchen in addition to nice views of Lake Tahoe itself. It had a room that hung out from the top, which felt very cozy. While I slept, my gold bracelet undid itself and I left it on the bed. Luckily, I called and Omar picked up to find it before any other guest could come in. He shipped it to me and I was more than happy to be reunited with my belonging. Thank you so much for the quality service!

I was initially scared to go outside in the cold to enter the hot tub, but it was a great hot tub. Also check out the sauna. I liked that Aston provided breakfast as well!

Very happy with our stay, arrived early and the staff were very accommodating, even upgrading our room so we could check in immediately! Room was very clean and comfortable. Location is excellent to popular areas. Resort provided shuttles around the area which was very convenient! Highly recommend staying!

Short walk to lake. Nice suites, fully stocked with any supplies you'd need. Friendliest check-in staff ever. Shuttle is a nice bonus, parking is tight. Continental breakfast available. Lots of restaurants close, and shops.

The room we got was very spacious, comfortable and cozy. I really like the fact it has a kitchen with all the amenities you need. We were able to cook our own dinner and breakfast which save us money and time. This was a really good place to stay, the parking is underground and there’s a supermarket near by and some restaurants. Also, the service was very good and helpful.

Just taking time to review since we stayed here multiple times. We are family who likes to rent condos from Aston Lakeland, particularly during winter season. We definitely recommend staying here. Our family experience has been really positive staying at this place. We also love the amenities such as coffee in the lobby, complementary breakfast, free shuttle. Also I don't usually notice or comment on staff names but have to say we really appreciate how the guy named Jerry Bindel personally ensured we had great stay by quickly having staffers fix minor issues we had once with just one condo. So we are really impressed with the customer service by the staff

We are family of six from Bay Area and over the years have stayed multiple times at condo's within Lakeland Village. Every stay has been super fun, super positive experience! We think this is due to it being a very well run facility from top managers on down. We are so impressed with the GM there, Jerry Bindel, who we could tell genuinely cares about guests. The one rare time we had minor issues with our condo, it was Jerry who personally ensured the staff corrected those issues super-fast! The reason we love this complex is: 1) Incredibly close to major attractions such as the lake and also Heavenly; 2) Free shuttle to nearby attractions! 3) Lots of extras (we enjoyed the free wine & cheese tasting on the last stay); 4) The units we rent are always in great condition with great amenities! 5) and most important: really great customer service from all the staff!

One of my absolute fave resorts...Splurge for the 3 story townhouse, its like a cabin on steroids...great wintry feel...located right off the main strip in South Lake Tahoe, minutes from Heavenly and casinos...snow parks nearby for the kids...the resort offers continental breakfast and hot drinks all day...love the hot tubs with great mountain and lake views...the resort is located on a private beach and they offer plenty of activities. The staff is the best and very accommodating.

Great place to stay for snowboarding. The pier is great and a lakeside view is the best. Some of the stoves were broken but could be lit with a match. Wifi can't serve too many people and is quite slow. TVs don't come with an HDMI but it's okay.

I like this place. It's right off the beach so you can easily walk along the shore and to the piers to take a view of the scenery including the lake and mountains. I loved our accomodations. A 2 bedroom apartment with a loft on the second floor. Very nice and cozy.

Located right next to the lake. The resort has its own private access to the lake. There is a hot tub jacuzzi and pool. Rooms were nice. Ours had a complete kitchen. Staff were very friendly and accomodating. The staff noticed we had our 4 year old son and made some changes to our room location so that we were closer to the elevator to make it easier for us to get to our car, in and out of the building, etc. He also gave us a free upgrade to another room since there were rooms available.

Bathrooms in 1 bedroom kitchen are far too small. Can't close the door. Bathmats doesn't have room to put down. The employees are nice but not always effeicient. They have a free shuttle that transloers within 2 miles. When you want to be picked up you call. After being on a sunset cruise, the call back number for the shuttle disconnected 10 times. I had to walk back in the dark and cold. Even the staff at the cruise line got disconnect.
Rooms are pleasant. The Continental breakfast isn't anything special. For the price, I would expect a lot better.

7

Great location, very nice beach. All the rooms have kitchens, which is perfect if you have a little one that you need to cook for; perhaps also for adults because most food in Tahoe sucks. Property is a bit dated and rooms on the road side are quite loud.

The location can't be beat, right on the Lake with a private beach. However...the units we stayed in 477 and 474 were pretty outdated. Bring baby gates for any small children as the town homes have multiple steep staircases. They smelled kind of old/stinky too. Probably would not stay again. Maybe the condos or other units are better/more updated than the 2 units we rented.

Last year was our first time visiting all the way from Chicago and it was awesome. The pine grove was great for a family of 4. the beach was awesome and so was the shuttle service that would take you wherever and pick you up. Every morning we would walk to the lobby and get the complimentary coffee. Loved it and coming back this year!

The location was perfect for the weekend's events. Not to far from everything! You had the lake all around you and things to do in every direction you go. There's plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from. If you don't feel like driving everything is walking distance as well. If you don't feel like going out, the room includes a kitchen and Safeway is just around to corner to go shopping! Definitely a great place to stay! Will be back with the family for future vacations!

The Aston was the perfect place for our wedding guests to stay when coming to our destination wedding in Lake Tahoe. We found them through Kleinfeld Hotel blocks (Kleinfeld hotel block is an amazing, free service that offers you comparisons of hotels in a specific area-- highly recommend!!) It was the perfect feel for our wedding weekend! It's located in South Lake Tahoe, which is a great location since you can walk to town, or take their free shuttle, so there things for your guests to do when not doing wedding events. It is on the lake and has a beautiful pier and small beach area that is available for barbecuing. (You can also do a (semi?) private event on the beach for a BBQ for guests, but we opted not to do that). There are also 2 pools and a hot tub. It's on its own property that feels private/separate from the businesses in the area. There's a lot of grass and greenery with many different buildings a few stories high - hotel type rooms and condos. The whole place felt like it was like a little village and all of our wedding guests were staying there - we loved it!! Our block was self-pay, so discounted for guests, but as the bride/groom, you don't have to pay a deposit for the guest room(s)/block if they're not all taken. We had about 20 rooms and it's possible that if you get many more rooms than this, there may be a deposit, but we loved that we didn't have one! It was surprisingly hard to find a place in the area you didn't have to pay to hold rooms! The rooms are condos or studios/small rooms with kitchens that are privately owned. Most have fireplaces and balconies as well I believe. They are all different decor wise, and some more updated than others, but they have various options for numbers of bedrooms and how many people they sleep. Surprisingly they were extremely affordable and could sleep quite a few people! The Aston did give us the option of having either upgraded rooms or rooms that were close together depending on how important that is to you. I saw a few yelp reviews that some appliances were broken in some units, etc, but we never had a problem. Plus, maintenance can of course fix anything that's broken. We had our parents rent a large house that was able to perfectly accommodate our small wedding of 45 for a night before the wedding pre-party --we catered food from a local Italian restaurant that was delicious! -- and a post wedding brunch the following day. My husband and I stayed in one of the suites and the hotel gave us a complimentary bottle of wine/gift basket since it was our wedding weekend. Another plus, they offer catering rooms indoor and outdoor/rooftop right near the lake/with a view of the lake. Personally, we felt it was expensive to rent for a pre- and post-party since you have to cater it and get someone with the proper liquor license, and rent the room, but it's a great option or even a wedding option! We loved it there!

Cons: The bathroom was small and it had a leak; the WiFi was horrible; and there wasn't much on the TV that was interesting.
Pros: Sofa bed was nice; kitchenette was very convenient; the underground parking was awesome for keeping our car warmer in the cold weather; deck was great, as we had a toddler who loves to be outside; and the extra bedroom was perfect for getting our toddler to sleep.
Overall, this place was a great choice for our stay.

Staff are great, very friendly and able to answer all questions. The decor is a bit tired and could do with some touch up on the outside paintwork. But this would not stop me staying there again. Shuttle service is very reliable.

Aston Resort was very quiet and peaceful, yet just a short distance from the bustling "strip" of South Tahoe. The resort has a great free shuttle that will pick you up and drop you off wherever you want and it goes until midnight. The staff were all extremely friendly and parking was free. It is also beautifully located on a beach to Lake Tahoe with outstanding views. The only complaint I might have would be that the interior could use some updating. It's charming in a way, but it could use a little upgrade.

The living space is really nice. Large living room and dining area with a small kitchen in an open plan on the second floor with several good size bedrooms. The only downside is that parking is hard to get and you can end up parked far from your unit.

The resort is a 5 minute drive from Heavenly, situated right next to a killer burger joint and a great breakfast place. The rooms are pretty basic, the one I stayed in had a kitchen. This resort's main allure is its on-demand shuttle service, with a shuttle anywhere in town just a phone call away.

The unit we stayed in has not been updated in many years and it is in desperate need of weather stripping and other improvements. One can see daylight around the door jam. The windows and slider are cold and drafty. The fireplace is good at turning wood into ash but terrible at getting warmth into the living room. The furnace is loud and was constantly kicking on trying to keep the living space at a comfortable temperature - it was largely ineffective.

Housekeeping came around on occasion. Usually late. Sometimes not at all. Twice they left a gift basket with a bottle of wine. Of the two bottles given, the first one was bad and the second was worse. Housekeeping was fond of leaving the front door open while they casually entered and exited. Not one to enjoy blustery snowstorms blowing through my front door I tried closing the door but it was promptly re-opened by housekeeping. I gave up trying to fight this battle.

Room is spacious and fully loaded with kitchen utensils, two bedroom townhouse have actually 5 beds that can sleep at least 7 people. Nice and helpful staff. The best part of the Lakeland Village Resort is the surrounding area. Tahoe is beautiful and should be explored. Where you stay doesn't matter. The rooms at the lakeland are clean but not worth the price you will pay for then. Tiny old beds that sag and poorly designed rooms. Basically they have the up keep of a cabin in the woods more than a resort. My next visit to Tahoe will be at the Howard Johnson next door, better rooms and still able to access everything at the lakeland for a third of the cost.

I stayed here with a great groupon deal, and overall I liked it a lot. The front desk staff were really friendly and helpful, and the room was really clean. It's pretty easily accessible and has good parking, plus you can walk to the lake without leaving the hotel property, which is nice. The mattress on the bed was firmer than I preferred, and it was a bit of a bummer that they don't do complimentary breakfast outside of ski season, but those are my only complaints
