I have stayed at this hotel multiple times over the years. The rooms are recently remodeled and quite nice. The bedding was above average for hotels. It is on the Electric Shuttle route so easy to get to anywhere that takes you. The staff I encountered this time we're fantastic. As like other stays, I had the breakfast buffet and the food was great. The hotel is a convenient walk to two of my personal favorites -- the Pickle Barrel and City Cafe. I was attending a concert at the Walker Theater (upstairs of Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Auditorium) and considered walking but the weather was iffy. All in all a hotel I have stayed at multiple times and am always happy to stay at.

YOU NEED TO STAY HERE. Stayed one night and ate in the hotel. Nice standard Marriott room. Hotel restaurant was very good and waitress was super friendly. When we got a flat tire the day we left, everyone in the hotel found a way to help us. From the managers standing outside, calling their head valet (Brook) to come on his day off, we couldn’t believe the service. Highly recommend. (Also nice location with shuttle to downtown right from hotel).

Customers needing a taxi have to wait on valet to pick and choose their friends to pick them up because they get a tip from their friends when a passenger has to wait over 30 minutes for any kind of ride why the Marriott shuttle runs around picking up other people for hire the Valet for greater tips leaving the customers stranded for 30 minutes and when they do call a taxi it's like 30 minutes have passed and now they need one there within 5 or 10 minutes makes it look like we having inadequate taxi service. All they have to do is call a taxi 20 minutes in advance and it will be adequate time for a taxi to get across town or anywhere to the Marriott the gift service inside seems to be pretty great I've watched some people bring their attitudes to work at the Marriott. Always say leave your feelings at home and come and do your job

We had an excellent experience here. The hotel was clean and attractive and our bed was incredible. In fact, the bedding and bed was so comfortable that we are looking into buying one of the Marriott mattresses that the hotel uses. The bathroom was beautifully appointed and the shower had plenty of hot water and excellent water pressure. The shower head was really pretty terrific and I'd like to get one of those electric mirrors for home as well.

I thought that perhaps the hotel was slightly closer to the aquarium, but regardless of that we were very happy with our stay, especially once we discovered the free electric shuttle buses that take you all over downtown. The food on site was quite good and all of the employees were very helpful and friendly. The only downside was that I believed the pool to be closed because there was no mention of it on the website and a previous review two weeks before our visit said that it was closed, but it was actually open. However, since I thought it was not, I didn't bring a swimsuit and was not able to take advantage of it, which was disappointing.

I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a conveniently located and VERY comfortable room

This hotel is a treat! The amenities are numerous. The staff is amazing. Even the bath products and bedding provided are luxurious. And the location is spot on to enjoy the entertainment that brought us into Chattanooga for the weekend. We will definitely stay here again in the future!

Very nice hotel. Exceptional front desk workers, custodians, and house keepers. Everyone was pleasant, well posed. Bradley is an awesome front desk person. However; this was the worst place we have stayed concerning check in and check out as a group. District sent check for payment.. check was not applied..Front desk tried charging credit cards and debit cards of the group. Group Director thought she had problems solved at her check in, but when checking out we found out that rooms were placed on room Incident card and the parking we thought was validated... Was charged.. what a mess. You would think all personnel would be trained In How to handle large group payments.. also. Room 828 shower did not train accordingly.. flooded floor.. hopefully all issues will be fixed quickly..

We are loving our stay! Front desk staff was unbelievably friendly and helpful. We also ate in the hotel Restaurant and it was delicious with wonderful staff, The only down side is that the indoor pool is closed for maintenance..and I have 3 kids with me that would of loved to go. Still a very pleasant, clean place to stay.

I would hardly consider this hotel 4 stars much less 3. Room was so hot it was hard to sleep. I notified staff of the issue at 8:30 a.m today and asked for the maintenance person to come while we were out. Returned to our room at 6:00 PM with it being two degrees hotter than when we left. Notified the front staff again. Said they would send someone up... Upon reading the most recent reviews on the hotel website, this has been an ongoing problem for nearly a week for several guests. In addition to the room temperature, the indoor swimming pool has temperatures that will make your teeth chatter. Supposedly that's from the heat pump taking longer than expected. My guess is that it is broken.. Shame. I can say that the maintenance guys were very nice when they arrived. Waiting 30 minutes to see if the room cools down any since maintenance left. Fingers crossed but I won't be holding my breath.

Nice hotel. In mid renovation and it has caused no inconvenience. Room is clean and good sized. Very centrally located to walking Chattanooga. Only issue we've had is air conditioner not cool enough. Food really good too.

We really enjoyed our visit. The accommodations were wonderful and the view was AMAZING. Great location too. They did overbook king size beds, but were able to upgrade us to a presidential room (which I think means we got the great view). The reason I'm giving 4 stars is the room we were attached to had very thin walls. We could hear the couple next door talking, although it wasn't so bad that we could understand what they were saying. Still, we would have liked more privacy. We also got a complementary breakfast which was pretty great.

Not the best location if you are wanting to walk to waterfront but excellent for convention center and even Lookout Mountain. There is a free city bus that will take you if you want to get around that way. Bathroom redone and the shower is great. Air conditioning wasn't working but I'm sure they wouldve moved me if I'd asked. Room was small but clean.

Booked online aquarium package. Arrived to find renovations with no indoor pool access nor spa. We're told indefinitely closed. Sent to wrong room accommodations. Not impressed at all with the amount of money spent for 1 night. Love Marriott and have stayed at many. This one has not impressed at all. Came in t.v had no signal went to aquarium and to eat came back at 10p. It still wasn't back on. Finally at 1130p came back on. Had a note also under door that due to remodel water would be turned off at 11am in morning and back on at 5p.

Came here for a wedding that was held at the adjacent convention center. Location of the hotel is convenient to the downtown area, Starbucks in the lobby. The rooms are your standard Marriott style rooms, they are the newer renovated style so everything looks good inside. The convention center is connected by an indoor walkway so it's great if you are attending an event there.

The room was good with a comfortable bed and bedding and plenty of room. The brunch was tasty and the bar had reasonably priced drinks and food. Staff was super friendly! The only drawback was there was construction going on in the hotel. Saying it was loud was an understatement. I had to talk very loud just to be heard. Once this is completed, I am sure it will be an oasis in the city, but until then, I will look for another place to stay.

The staff was friendly and professional. However, our original room 912 had dirty sheets (long black hair, and feathers that we're perhaps from a boa). The staff gave us room 808 which was completely clean. We did the Chattanooga aquarium package and they took care of us by giving us our tickets before checking in as we were running late. Free electric shuttle stops behind the hotel and took us to the aquarium and around downtown Chattanooga.

We went for a few days to get away after Christmas. They did let us check in a couple of hours early and we had a great room. Service was friendly. We had no hot water the first night and next morning so we told them we would have to find somewhere else to stay. They called Residence Inn across the street and booked us a room that was ready immediately. Just couldn’t believe a hotel would not have hot water for 2 days!!

Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Water temp fluctuated from hot/no cold to cold/no hot--bad when you're trying to shower. Best part of breakfast--the omelettes! Coffee in the hot water dispenser (I was making tea). Queen beds a little small, more like doubles.

Location is the best attribute of this hotel. The staff were helpful and friendly. There is an onsite coffee shop and parking. The parking fee is reasonable and they let me stay in the parking deck all day while I worked nearby. They even accommodated my late check out request.

The Chattanooga Marriott is located downtown near many of the cities main attractions and trendy restaurants. That makes it great if you choose to save on parking and get out and walk. Their staff was both professional and attentive to our needs. The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. My only complaint was the mushyness of the bed pillows. That said, it was a restful and stress free stay and I highly recommend it.

Good overall experience. The room was great and the front desk/valets were all very helpful. Only critique is the elevators as they are very slow and would make unrequested stops of sorts almost every trip. Would recommend this hotel overall though.

4

Definitely the worst Marriott I've stayed at thus far. No microwave or refrigerator in the room. And they give a big runaround when you request to have a microwave brought up. And their "community" microwave on the third floor isn't cleaned often. If you need the shuttle to take you someplace, they may or may not accommodate; they want you to call when you're ready to "find out" if they can service you. Their attitudes seem anti-customer. Fancy building worth multiple millions of dollars, but they can't seem to accommodate the little things to paying customers. I hope I never stay here again. :-/

I'm a taxi driver. I do a lot of airport to hotel shuttle services. Is a great Hotel. I'm full service. They do have a Starbucks. We have a very clean Lobby. Restrooms are always very well-maintained. Excellent valet service. Whenever I have family in town, this is where I recommend them to stay. Fast friendly service in valet. My smiling faces at the front desk. And great amenities.

8

It was a nice stay. Very clean and comfortable and conveniently located. I was able to walk to a spot nearby for dinner. I will likely try to stay here again, on my next visit. I would have given 5 stars, but there were a couple things I did not like. #1 the biggest lamp in my room didn't have a light bulb in it, so it was very dark in there. #2 the lemon verbena air freshener they use in the lobby is very overpowering. It's a pleasant fragrance, but it's too strong.

7

Nice hotel, very clean and comfy. I kind of expected more out of a "deluxe suite," as the bathroom was tiny and the room was rather small. The "view" was a bit overrated, being mostly of other rooftops with some mountains in the background. Outdoor pool was nice and the bar/restaurant was pretty good.

4

Good location downtown however the rooms are the old red/ gold style and are looking tired and in need of a refurb.

Customer service is definitely lacking. I was traveling here for work, not on a personal booking and the hotel is supposed to arrange a pickup from the airport. After calling the front desk to inform the hotel we had arrived we were told to catch a cab. Usually there is a hotel shuttle bus. Upon going outside there were NO cabs and the hotel had not arranged one either. We ended up waiting 50 minutes+ from the time I had initially called for a pickup before our transportation arrived. This kind of customer care is sub par of what I expect from Marriott.

Good location downtown, however don't expect the staff members to go above and beyond.

Good hotel. Comfortable beds, clean. Bit disappointed that the website says there is a fridge and microwave in the room; neither are in the room. I'm sure they could be made available to us, and it's a soldout weekend I'm pretty sure, with the eclipse and all. But it would be good to change the website to say available upon request or something if there's not one in every room. Also the breakfast time needs to be made clearer: service stops at 9:00am apparently but the lounge stays open until 10:00am. That makes perfect sense, it just needs to be made clearer to guests, heard many others remark about this after coming up to breakfast at around 9:30. Overall a good stay. Can't comment on if it's worth the price as we paid with rewards points. But it's an average hotel I'd say.

The Chattanooga Marriott was fantastic. Our bed may have had a problem sinking towards the middle, but the staff and service there was fantastic. My wife and I casually mentioned that it was our anniversary, and the hotel staff sent champagne to our room - it was so sweet, and we really appreciated it. I hope to stay here again next time I am in Chattanooga.

This is an incredibly beautiful hotel with gorgeous artwork. I requested a higher floor and they gave us the top floor. The view was incredible! The only downside was the air wasn't as cool coming from the A/C as my husband would like. Every staff member we encountered was fabulous. They really know how to have good customer service!

Great location, free shuttle bus outside the door. Great friendly staff, the were running low of moon pies they give to guest, no strawberry, and Brook went to store and bought some for our daughter and a T-shirt too! Love the heated indoor pool. We always stay here when visiting Chattanooga.

My family stayed here for a family reunion trip. Overall the hotel is very nice. Great view of the mountains from our hotel window. The outdoor pool is on a roof and is very nice not to mention there is an indoor pool as well. The gym is nice as well with free weights, elliptical machines, treadmills, bikes and a cable machine. Lastly, the service was great from the bell boys to the desk staff. We also had breakfast every day at the hotel restaurant and it was very hoops. Our family also had a banquet in one of the banquet rooms and the food was delicious there as well. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. Our room was a little dated but still nice.

Great location with a nice view. Rooms are spacious and beds are very comfortable. I stayed for a conference at the attached convention center, and it was a little confusing figuring out how to get to the center (but not too bad). Conviently located near many fantastic restaurants, plus the in-room dining is excellent if you don't want to venture out. Would be nice to have a mini-fridge in the room for leftovers! Next time I'll check out the pool - it looks pretty nice. Overall great experience!

The hotel catering and meeting rooms were both quite good. The sound was clear even in the back of the room, the chairs were comfortable, the tables spaced apart appropriately, and the lighting sufficient. The only missing star is due to parking. The lower floors of the garage are all reserved, and I have never found a spot below the 7th floor. Fortunately my event validated, but the travel time to the car can be lengthy.

This hotel was fine. My room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. I travel for work, so a fridge in the room is really important to me, they didn't have one here. Also, only one microwave, and it was on the ground floor near the gift shop or something. Overall I didn't hate it or love it.

Was very pleased with our room, it was clean and roomy. Like the fact that the shuttle stops at the hotel. But, be aware of prices. We purchased a half pint of milk and was charged $3.28. That is ridiculous for this small amount of milk. I would like to know why they do this to their customers. Other than that our stay was good.

Nice full service Marriott. My room had a view of Lookout Mountain. Two rooms next door are being refurbished as test rooms for the newer more modern look. Some construction noise, but only in daytime. Didn't bother me since I was out of the room most of the day. Concierge lounge was nice.

Hotel was immaculate and the room was very nice. Staff was also very nice. My only issue was with the indoor pool area - especially the women's bathroom. Very dirty with what seemed like little effort put forth in cleaning it or making it presentable to guests. That was the only disappointing part. I would stay here again... will probably not venture down to the pool again, though.

Service and amenities were great. Lounge was closed during the weekend, but the front desk staff said we were welcome to any of the drinks in the convenience store. They also provided 2 free breakfast coupons in lieu of the lounge. Room was a bit small and outdated. There were specks of rust on the door handles. But other than that, the room was fine.

8

Very professional greeting and meeting of needs. The indoor pool area was not very big, and the water seemed to need better filters because there seemed to be small pieces of skin or chemicals? Floating in and on the water. The room was clean and pleasant enough, certain aspects of common areas need more attention to detail ( ladies bathroom in lobby needed a faucet - only one available, and light fixtures needed serious dusting) all in all I would stay there again, but it's priced too high with very little to offer in return. The beds were clean, but mattresses slid off the main box spring throughout the night so it was difficult to rest comfortably. The staff was the best part, very courteous and friendly, the wait staff was very respectful at Table South. The food was so - so, nothing to write home about... Edible at best, but it was catered, so it may have been the selection of food served.

This is a very good full service hotel that offers good food and drinks and very comfortable sleeping arrangements. It is strategically located adjacent to the Convention Center. Transportation is available to the downtown district via the free electric shuttle service. Once you arrive at the hotel, you can park your vehicle and not have to drive anywhere in the downtown area, which is very nice!

Great location in one of my favorite towns. It's a 0.7mi walk to the heart of Broad St near the aquarium. Add that to the great beds and rooms all Marriott's offer and you've got one great hotel.

4

We had booked the hotel for 3 nights but left after one.
To start with the pros... The service was very good, the staff was helpful.

Now the cons....If a person stays in a 5-star hotel, he/she has some expectations. The room did not have the basic amenities like a fridge, microwave etc. The TV did not function well. And why do we need to pay for parking when you are staying at the same hotel? I totally did not get that. And there was no complimentary breakfast which was a bummer!

To conclude, though the staff and the help they provided was excellent, the hotel lacked basic things.

This Marriott is very easily accessible. It's only a mile from the interstate. And it is centrally located to a host of eateries which the staff was very helpful in pointing us in the right direction for a late night meal. I always stay at a Marriott hotel when one is available. I will definitely stay at this one again on my next visit to town.

Older hotel with a great staff right next to the convention center. I've stayed here twice and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The walls are a bit thin, and I can hear my neighbor's phone conversation. However the staff is super friendly especially if you're a Marriott's rewards member.

Fairly nice for a convention hotel. Other than the first room we had, the bathroom had a strange configuration. We asked to be moved and are in handicap accessible now, so I'm not sure if that was the norm. Bed is fairly comfortable, lots of plugs. No free WiFi or breakfast.

The Chattanooga Marriott is definitely on of my favorite hotels in Chattanooga. From the distance to the covention center, to the awesome diner up the block it is the perfect getaway. Definitely valet your vehicle, one of the Valet managers names is Luke. Everytime I visit I see the redhead man waving me over welcoming me like am old friend would. I love the breakfast in the terrace, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE OMELETS!!! Overall great location, awesome service, great food!!

Ps. Steer clear of the GM Tom, he looks very shady and much like a turtle.

Reasonable location, standard hotel room, nothing special. Took 4 phone calls to get a crib in our room, even though we had asked for a crib when we made the reservation. Not sure why this was so difficult. They only sent the crib when I threatened to leave and stay somewhere else.

I am a regular Marriott customer and I usually get a survey email after I stay at a Marriott hotel. This time I didn't so I'm writing a review here instead. I stayed at this hotel June 10 and 11 and had problems. One of the front desk workers never could answer a question and didn't bother finding answers to my questions. Valet services parked my car. One day I didn't have the check ticket and they did not know how to find my car. They kept asking me about the ticket. They went through every key in the box trying to identify mine (they all look alike). I told them they needed a back up system for finding cars. I'm quite sure I am not the first person who did not have the ticket number to find a car. On check out day a blond female was manning the desk. She did not look at me at all and said "Room number?" She did not ask how my stay was or if I needed anything. Quite a cold experience. This is a nice hotel in that it is clean and in a good location. I'm disappointed in how I was treated. I don't think it means much being a Marriott member.

Standard Marriott with standard rooms. Cleanliness is usually good, but rooms are outdated. Location is convenient for work, but not as close to the more touristy locations, but still walking distance.

We enjoyed our stay overall. Beds were very comfortable and we slept well. Our daughter enjoyed both the indoor and outdoor pools. Outdoor pool area is very nice. Closest restaurant within walking distance (about 2 blocks) was City Cafe. City Cafe is open 24 hours and has a wide variety and selection of food and desserts. The bathroom in our room was a bit small. No refrigerator was in our room when we arrived but we immediately requested one and it was promptly delivered. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They do charge for Wifi.

It had a bed. Things that are a joke? No free wifi would rate up there near the top plus paid parking. It's kind of outdated. No high definition Tv although it has a lower end LG model capable of it. It's no Embassy, that's for sure.

Disappointed in the overall experience. The room was nice; however, there was not a refrigerator or microwave in the room. Parking too was an additional charge. Most hotels have, at least, a continental breakfast. This would again be an additional charge. For this hotel line and reputation, I expected a few more complimentary perks. I have checked other hotels in the area and found several in the close vicinity that include more complimentary items.
I will not be staying here again!

The Staff!!! -Front Desk, Wait Staff (in restaurant and lounge), Valet and all through out the hotel were sooo nice. We planned a last minute anniversary get away and didn't expect much, But Jennifer and her front desk team made it really special. Our room was nice, big and bright on the 10th floor with a very nice view. We actually planned to stay elsewhere, but my husband now says we will definately be back. We have been telling everybody, how we were made to feel like VIP. Thanks for a great weekend.
