Great place to stay in Mammoth Lakes. The room was super comfortable and the staff real friendly and make you feel very welcomed.

Room dated and in need of a refurbishment. Bathroom clean. Had two double beds in a small size room making movement very tight for a family of four. Missed the cheese and wine. Breakfast was lovely (French toast) with two cereals. Might be nice to offer toast and cheese or yogurt maybe a apple. Convenient location and value for money.

The rooms are a bit dated and not the most comfortable beds but it’s a great value when considering the prize, the location and breakfast included. The breakfast is fairly simple but gets the job done. The room is equipped with a heater but does not have an AC, but with the quiet location you can easily sleep with the window open during summer. Staff is friendly. All things considered I would stay here again

I'm baffled at all of the great reviews for this inn. To highlight the positives, the location is very close to Yosemite and the staff are very friendly. Unfortunately, the accommodations fell significantly short of my expectations in every other regard.
When I entered my room, I was surpised to find that it was just a bed and bathroom with little room to move around. The full bed wouldn't have been an issue, except that it was one of the hardest mattresses I've slept on. Perhaps the worst part of this experience was that there was never any hot water. My girlfriend and I tried showering around 10 pm, 8 am, and 9:30 am, only to be left numb with each attempt.
Lastly, the breakfast. The hot item provided was pancakes, of which you could choose mixed berry, chocolate chip, or plain. The pancake batter itself was actually very good, but the sparse berries and lack of side caused me to lose interest pretty quickly. If you were not interested in pancakes, you had two types of bran cereal, coffee, and orange juice to choose from.
Arriving late, I didn't have the opportunity to experience their 5-6 wine and cheese happy hour. However, it would have to be quite the social to counter all of the shortcomings I encountered. At a decent price point, you may still be interested in giving the Cinnamon Bear Inn a try. However, it's my opinion that you would be better off looking elsewhere.

This place is absolutely amazing. Really warm cozy rooms with comfy beds, free WiFi, and is right in the heart of the cool town of Mammoth Lakes. The lady at the desk is extremely nice, and cooks a VERY tasty breakfast in the morning (which is free). She cooked my wife and I a large omelette with toast and it was one of the best omelettes I’ve had. There is also oatmeal, coffee, cereal, orange juice, and milk at the breakfast bar. A very cool/great place to stay for a very affordable price. My wife and I will be back on our next trip.

Superb place to stay at. The rooms have a bit old fashioned decor but are very clean and it's cool that it's located centrally and near the forest with a nice view. The coolest thing is the happy hour they have everyday where you can go into the "lobby" and get some cheese and wine. And the breakfast that comes with your stay is amazing. They serve something different everyday, whether it be pancakes, omelettes, crepes, and they ask you which flavour (blueberry, chocolate etc) you prefer for whatever they have that day. They had this very delicious combo of pancakes with cream and peaches and it was SO GOOD. The staff is very friendly and always down to chat. The hot pool they have is cool. We ended up using it every night during our stay. It was nice after a long day of skiing. I'd recommend staying there.

This is my favorite hotel in mammoth so far. It's inexpensive, the rooms are charming and the service is great. It's simple and comfortable and the wood stove always makes my night.

Wonderful place to stay at. Highly recommend it! The owners are extreamly nice and sweet, they’re also very attentive. They gave good recommendations on where to eat and how to get around also they made check in very easy. Rooms are cozy and very clean. Good location, not far from the ski lodge. If your looking for a place to stay for the weekend, definitely stay here!

I called from Michigan during breakfast and was connected with a wonderful staff member named Janelle. (Not sure if it's spelled correctly) She was extremely busy with breakfast and check outs. But took the time to write a love note to a woman I'm in love with who stayed with you last night. And it pleases me to write this review thanking management and especially whomever hired her. She was able to create a memory for my Alyssa that I couldn't do from here. Thank you!

We stayed there for a few night. The location is good, close to the downtown. The hostess is very friendly and our room is clean. But the bed is horribly squeaky-a sign of aged bed, and soft. The bed was dented in the center. It ended up we had to turned on a fan at night in order to cover the squeaky noises the bed made. I must say I could not sleep well while staying there. Also, the Internet reception was really really poor. In our room, "zero" reception, which was okay-we had enough books to read. But when we tried to book a hotel for our following trips, it was inconvenient. The positive thing is the free warm breakfast and happy hour from 5-6pm every day. Cheese and wine is served during the happy hour. If they improve the beds and internet service , I think it would be a great place to stay.

The location was pretty great, we were able to drive to the village/canyon lodge in less than 10 minutes. We got Room 9A, which was fairly small, but fit our needs. There was one big bed that is extremely firm and comes with two thin pillows (apart from 3 decorative pillows). The whole room was very quaint and clean. The shower stall seemed to leak water so we made sure to use the provided bath mat very close to the shower stall. Water pressure and temperature seemed to depend on others' usage. The walls were fairly thin and one evening when we tried to nap after a long day of snowboarding, it was impossible due to all the commotion from people going about their way outside. Come night time everyone seemed to respect the quiet time though, so no trouble there. The breakfast we got was stuffed french toast, which was delicious and beautifully presented. Breakfast is from 7:30am to 9am. And from 5pm to 6pm, there's happy hour, when you can get a glass of wine and enjoy some cheese and crackers in the office/lobby/breakfast/main area.

The rooms were nice and cozy. There was free breakfast too (we got omelettes, although not amazingly tasty). Prices for the rooms were relatively cheap compared to nearby hotels and inns. But beware, do not keep your food in your trunk! We had a bear right next to our trunk, and gave us the scare of our lives.

Fairly pricey for spartan accommodations. Barely enough room to turn around in. Location was nice, breakfast was good, and rooms were clean and functional.

It has its charm, but the beds were WAY too soft. The walls are so thin that you can heat people talking next door. The hot tub gave me blue nails (too much copper in the water).

We stayed here during a break from hiking the JMT and we were really looking forward to a nice stay in a hotel, but this was a bad experience. Check-in was supposed to be at 3:00pm and after waiting around for an hour for someone to show up, a cleaning lady finally showed up at 4:00pm who didn't know what to do but she at least gave us a key to our room. However the shower had almost no water pressure and it wasn't even worth it to try to shower The water was either scalding hot or too cold. We told the manager who finally showed up over an hour late and she said there was nothing she could do. I asked to talk to her boss but she said they were on the road and weren't answering. Very bad experience and would not recommend to stay here. Better places to stay in Mammoth Lakes.

As a freq patron of B&Bs, Cinnamon Bear is near the bottom. It has all the small "coziness" without any of the charm. While clean enough to pass state inspection, the room was dingy and definitely showing its age.

Stayed here while passing through in the summer on they way to Yosemite. It was a cozy little spot near some good restaurants. The shower and linens were clean, beds were comfortable, and best of all, there was a hot tub, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Plus, the included hot breakfast the next morning was great, and they had snacks for us in the afternoon as well.

We stayed here a total of 3 nights, all of which went very well. The employees were incredibly friendly and flexible. Just off of main street, the free transportation throughout the city makes the location perfect, no car needed!

Pros:
Location - Just off of main street with a bus stop across the street
Price - We paid

This is a very quaint old fashioned bed and breakfast nestled in the woods at Mammoth Mountain. Room was small but delightful! Lobby was cozy with a big fireplace and a very friendly employee. The breakfast was a ham and cheese omelet - very tasty and filling! Service was wonderful! Only thing missing was a lot of snow outside!

They were very nice Inn keepers. We got the last room left and it was so small we had to turn sideways to get into bed and get out of each others way. It was quite funny. The room was nice and clean though, however the mattress was like a rock. The Inn Keeper said the other rooms were much nicer. We were on a budget and staying at the last minute, so we got what we could afford. It was a good value for the area for sure, AWESOME breakfast and close to a lot of shops.
