We live about 3 hours from Bismarck, so when we go into town for a big shopping trip, we sometimes will stay overnight to lessen the exhaustion of shopping day. This trip we picked the Country Inn and Suites, because of their pool. We drag three littles around with us. This time we spend a little more than we normally do. We usually like to stay about $80 for the night, but we got out Country Inn and Suites room for $110. I made the reservation online, and was required to put in my credit card number. I assumed that my card was charged and my room was paid for. Upon checking in at the hotel, I was asked for the card we would be putting the room on. I stated "I think I already paid for it online". The man at the front desk said "Well, I'm not showing that, so if you did, that's your problem." okay........ Whatever, like I said, I had driven for 3 hours, and just figured I would work it out later. My first thought of the hotel, it was clean, well decorated, and was nice. It even smelled good. We got our room, and I noticed right away there were holes in the back of the bathroom door, like maybe there had been something hanging there at some point. After getting to the pool I noticed that some of the fake palm trees were broken off. I will say it was very obvious this hotel was going through some major renovations. I won't count them out just yet. I really enjoyed the hot rock sauna. The kids enjoyed the pool. Beds were comfortable. Pillows leave something to be desired. It was quiet. Overall a pretty decent experience. I will book another stay in a few months after renovation are complete.

Very nice property and friendly staff. Minor problems with the room cause me to wonder what else could be going on under the surface. Our bathroom door was swollen so much that it wouldn't come close to closing. Our toilet seat was completely loose causing it to be quite uncomfortable to use. These things are very minor and ultimately distracted very little from the overall comfort and coziness of our room. I do wish that maintenance would take the 5 minutes it would take to keep everything in tip top shape.

This place has great employees. Very helpful. They have been remodeling for about 2 years now and are on the 1st floor now. If you want quiet during daytime hours, go somewhere else, otherwise it's a real nice place.

It seems like a nice place. The rooms are nice. They were remodeling when we were there so we got our room for super cheap. Definitely a family place. Don't stay there if you want peace and quiet. The pool is open from 6am to midnight which is totally awesome for late arrivals but it's a hopping place with kids running around. Like I said, great for the family.

The girl working the front desk was super kind and worked with us when we made a mistake and booked a room for the wrong weekend. Very accommodating and friendly. I will definitely be staying here again when visiting Bismarck.

Love the rooms, seems newly updated. Kids love the swimming pool area, it’s like a mini water park! All together a great place to stay!

This Country Inn is always clean, comfortable and hospitable. The staff is polite and professional, the king studio is spacious, clean and even has an amazing whirlpool tub. Didn't get a chance to take advantage of it this time but the next time we have to stay, I definitely will. I love that there's always an extra pillow and a blanket available. The breakfast has convenient hours and is always pretty good. Overall, my stays at this location was great and all country inn's are consistently reliable. If I can stay at one when I travel, then they are mt first choice!

We had to park across the street due to there being no available parking spots in the parking lot or on the street. Other than that the rooms and pool area were nice.

It would be nice to know if the place is remodeling. This place is a dump, stains on the couch and chairs in both of our rooms. Rips in the upholstery, carpets outdated and disgusting. The pool area was so humid and not ventilated like it should be. The water in the kiddie area was very cold. The lady serving good for breakfast wasn't wearing a hair net or gloves. The only positives are the mattresses seem to be replaced and comfortable, tv's are outdated. I will find another hotel to spend my money at next time.

Cool pool area with slide for the kids and that is where the positives stop. This place needs to renovated badly. I did not see a vent in the entire place in our room and in common areas that were not covered in dust. Mold in our bathroom and rust around the metal door frame. Needs deep deep cleaning and maintenance Don at the minimum.

I had the jacuzzi suite, paid $120 for a night of relaxing.. Minus the kids running up and down the hall and the people above us that were so noisy.. It was one of the most not relaxing nights. I will not be staying here again.

Went there for a child's a birthday swim party. There was a large meeting room where we ate and opened presents, and the pool was really nice, with a long Waterslide.

The place was pretty nice. We visited a few friends staying there. We mostly used the pool, which was pretty nice, but it would have been nice to close the windows because it made it a bit cold.

Nice water slide for the kids, although it's seen it's better days. Bedroom had a dirty floor with what appeared to be nuts... concerning when traveling with a child with food allergies. There was also garbage on the floor in the bathroom. Breakfast buffet was very standard, and had no fruit.

The bed was actually comfy. I got a king size with a couch and the room felt spacious. Breakfast was halfway decent but i was surprised to see no to go options.

I absolutely love staying here!! The room we are staying in is perfect!!. The bed is insanely comfortable... So much so, that when i lay down, a nap is inevitable.

The staff had been beyond kind and hospitable. They are a huge reason why this place is so amazing.

Then there's the pool area!!!! A waterside, a regular pool, a kiddie pool and a hot tub... seriously this place is amazing.

If you've read this review and are looking for a place to stay, stop looking and book your reservation here. You won't regret it. I will be sad when we have to leave but I will look forward to coming back!!!

The room had a separate bed area, which is a wonderful thing for a night shift travel nurse that travels with a husband and two dogs. Very comfortable bed, and shower had excellent pressure, though temperature control was a bit tricky.

The room was clean and nice. Pool area was nice but over crowded. I'm not sure if it was an irregular occurrence, but the hallways and parking lot were very loud, to the point of waking the kids up a few times.

Pool area is nice and lots to do but the chlorine in the air was too much. Made kids sick.

6

The Location is fine and the water park is good for children. That about finishes the list of good attributes. Our maid ignored the Do Not Disturb sign and entered our room anyway while we were out. The unwanted service was sub par. She made up the bed but didn't replace the toilet paper or empty the garbage as some examples. I called the front desk to complain about it and they didn't care. The building has a strange smell as well. Kind of musty or dank.

I would not return.

Best stay we had on our 8 day trip! Michelle at the front desk was so friendly and inviting, we actually chatted for about 30 minutes! The pool is amazing for kids and adults. We had the whole thing to ourselves......pool, water slide, sauna and hot tub!!! The rooms are huge and quiet...like I said best sleep we had on our trip! WE WILL definitely be staying at country Inn and suites when we travel!!! Rooms are clean and cozy.

Decent stay, nice pool and workout room. Annoyed that my room was by the managers office and they were outside my door talking pretty loudly at 7:30 in the morning. Thought it was in inconsiderate.

We booked a stay for my Mom's Birthday here and it was fantastic. The pool wasn't as full and the best part was that it had a fun slide. The service here was great and there many restaurants here that deliver right to your room door. The best part was the free breakfast. I have stayed at many hotels and none have meet the quality of service and taste as this hotel. I recommend anyone to enjoy the experience.

We chose to stay at the Country Inn & Suites on our wedding night. Because we were busy during the day, my personal attendant checked us in and dropped off our bag. By the time we got to the hotel at 1:30 in the morning, we were exhausted but wanted to utilize the whirlpool in our suite. As we lifted the towels and chocolate kisses off the front of the whirlpool, we first noticed two pubic hairs by the knobs. I then looked into the whirlpool and saw another curly pubic hair. My husband decided to turn on the water, out of curiosity's sake, since at this point we most definitely weren't going to use it. As he did, a glob of hair about the size of a golf ball came out of the drain. At this point, I called the front desk. After I explained the situation, the attendant said "Well, what do you want me to do about it?" REALLY??!!?? We had already checked the bed, and the sheets were clean, so I simply asked for a discount on the room. The attendant said she wasn't sure about it but would let the morning manager know. After we hung up the phone, I decided to enter the bathroom. I looked at the shower and saw a long head hair in it, so at this point I was afraid to turn on the water to see what else was lurking. We were exhausted and needed to crash, so we slept for a few hours, and when we got up in the morning, the person at the front desk said she would only be able to take $50 off of our nights stay, even after we explained that we couldn't utilize the shower either. As we stood there with my wedding dress and his tux in hand, she said that she would have the manager call us the next day and she would see if he could take anything more off our bill. The next day came and went, and at ten minutes to 5pm, I decided to have my husband call the manager. He started off on the wrong foot by telling us that he was far too busy to deal with us that day, then asked my husband what he would do in that situation. What he didn't know was that my husband was a front desk manager at a hotel. My husband said we should at least get that horrible night for free, and that he would also offer another free night's stay to show the customer that they can do better. The manager said that this was not possible but he would take half off of what was left after our previous discount. What a joke!!! What horrible management, what horrible housekeeping!! What a horrible hotel. Don't make the same mistake we did. If you are looking for a water slide for your kids, go to the Ramkota or the Seven Seas.
