The rooms are very nice. The breakfast sandwiches were yummy with the Starbucks coffee. The rooms are very spacious and keep noise out well. The bathroom is beautiful. Everything is very clean. There are plenty of outlets and USB plugs to plug things into. The arrangement of the desk is smart. The only thing I would like is if the bathroom doors were real doors and not the barn door style with no way to lock it or completely close it. I stayed in the room with my mom, and went out for ice while she was showering. When I came back in, the door hit the barn door handle and pushed it open. I'm glad it was my mom and not a coworker I was sharing a room with.

Hilton Diamond member trying Marriott again after about 10 years. The hotel has been renovated and is beautiful! I loved everything and was having a wonderful time until I found out the quiet room I asked for overlooks an event space. Music and noise carried on late into the night and I had to work at a hospital early the next day. The front desk had a difficult time controlling the group and asked what they could do for me. I told them they should have a list of rooms that are truly quiet and that putting me over an event space despite the time of day was not a quiet choice. They treated me like I was a “special case” and were a bit patronizing rather than acknowledging it might be a good idea to have a list of rooms that are on a quieter side or place. Don’t ask what I want if you’re not going to listen!!!! Other guests also likely have a similar ask or work strange hours at times. My ask wasn’t even selfish........ I guess Hilton vs. Marriott is a toss up and I’m no better off switching.

Amazing hotel. The room was wonderful with a very comfortable bed, a nice couch and large shower. The on site Bistro served great dinners and the pool and two Jacuzzis were super relaxing at the end of the day.

I stayed one night and left some clothes in the room, I called from the airport to tell them about it, several days later my clothes showed up at my house. That rates a 5 star rating for customer service. Big Thanks to Courtyard and their staff.

A very nice courtyard property modern and up to date. Room was very clean and bed was comfortable. Their fitness center is nice with enough machines to avoid the log jam in the morning. A great outdoor patio for relaxing or socializing especially at night. My only real knock is the price. Early week business travelers frequently sell this place out and drive the process to 3+ times base rates.

This hotel was definitely a step above the typical Courtyard. There was a happy hour that included free pizza and snacks. The bar was a step above other Courtyards with a few taps. The restaurant was also just a little nicer feeling. The staff were all very friendly.

Beautiful room. Staff was very nice. Free popcorn, surgared donut holes, wonderful pizza and veggie snacks in the afternoon. Can't miss happy hour as well. And to help work off all the indulgences there's a fitness room. Great experience.

Fantastic property, clean and very modern. Rooms are comfortable with plenty of charging options, both 110 and USB. Their happy hour is well stocked, even providing pizza. Will definitely stay here again.

Nice, well-kept hotel. Restaurant isn't bad and staff is friendly. They don't have room service but you can order from the restaurant and they'll package it to go; you just have to go pick it up at the café. Free parking is offered in an underground garage.

Frankly, VERY pleased with all aspects of my stay.

Hotel is still great. Had a single king room for 3 nights, staying for work. Front desk and bar staff is great. Location is great for access to companies off Page Mill in Palo Alto. The fire pits out back are nice to relax after a long day.

James Maltby is the GREATEST!! The Ambiance IMPROVES wherever he may host or manage. From the BBC of ' 90's to the Courtyard of 2018. The Special of 01/29/2018 was OUTSTANDING & Service from his staff superb, so glad to see James & know his hospitality is still around for ALL to APPRECIATE! ! !

Have stayed several times at this location while traveling for work and very pleased with the staff and cleanliness of the hotel. The free parking garage also a big plus when staying for extended periods of time.

Super considerate restaurant manager and wait staff! Gave us the special price and soup even though we were looking at an old ad. Food was delicious.

This is a great place to go for Happy Hour. They have a pizza and veggie bar, a discounted appetizer menu and drink menu. A comfortable place to hang out with friends

I have stayed in a lot of Marriott Courtyards over the last 20 years. This Courtyard Marriott does a great job with the updated rooms, restaurant, full bar, fire pits, pool spa, underground parking, popcorn and finger food in the evening. The hotel provided donut holes and coffee later in the morning. They get the little things that make a difference when you're traveling. I always stay here when I have business in the San Jose/Palo Alto.

The hotel is making a concerted effort to draw locals for dining at the bar/restaurant. Parking underground is free and the front desk acknowledge you without making you feel out of place as a nonstaying guest. Price is not exorbitant and fairly average given the location. Service is cordial while the quality of food is just okay.

Oh my goodness this place was so amazing. First we got in through expedia and although we paid more than we needed to it was truly a worth the money experirnce. You get free coffee popcorn pizza and donuts on the table near the lobby. There is also a candy shop where it is easy to buy. The room has a TV that had it's own button for Netflix on the control. Never seen before. The staff was very helpful and polite despite age. Truly would recommend.

Solid courtyard. Good experience with staff interaction this visit. Find the inability to engage the fan annoying as the mechanism for starting the ac is loud in the middle of the night. I feel fan on option would drown the loud clicks out.

Beautiful outdoor facilities with firepits. I've grown to appreciate when hotels put customers first... That's why I'm disappointed they don't offer free coffee in the lobby in the mornings. They offer it all day, but in the mornings they take the carafes away and make you purchase coffee from the restraunt. It feels like a money play that prioritizes profit over customer experience.

The rooms are dated, and have a weird layout... but there are advertisements for a redesign in each of the rooms.

Location was central. Next to tech companies. Surrounded with lots of restaurants. Rooms are decent. Service is good. Has complimentary parking for hotel guests.

Very nice hotel that provided heavily discounted group rates for our wedding. Very nice shared facilities, business services, and hospitality room for the wedding party.

Rooms are great, friendly service and everything is clean. The complimentary breakfast is not much of a compliment as it is very expensive and not part of the overnight fee.

I travel extensively for work and this was an excellent all around experience. Front desk staff where that rare mix of professional but felt real. Super comfortable room, spacious bathroom and pitch black blackout curtains. Awoke like I had just gone to a spa. It's now on my short list of hotels to revisit. Thanks.

Good rooms and pretty good pool area. They have a nice guest access policy for the pool so we were able to spend more time with our friends who were staying there.

This is a nice Courtyard. The rooms have been updated recently, so the bathrooms, etc are nice and new, but there are no kitchens in the room. I forget this, as it's surrounded by Residence Inns (and the equivalent for other hotel brands). The bar and cafe in the lobby are great for provisions.

The rooms here are very spacious. I appreciate the attention to detail with room keeping making little flowers out of tissue and such. The concierge is very helpful and have excellent recommendations on where to eat. I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel was amazingly gorgeous, clean and the staff were so welcoming. Not to mention the bed was one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on. I would recommend this place to anybody and am thrilled to have the opportunity to stay here again.

There is quite a bit of food available in the lobby (popcorn, donuts). My room was lovely, I particularly liked the bathroom. Fitness center was very nice too.

I stay here regularly. The rooms are undergoing updates which is great. The bar/restaurant are fantastic with a good blend of TV and quieter areas. The outdoor facility and fitness centre are also good. Highly recommended.

Went for the live jazz and restaurant service in the lobby overt the weekend. Ended up sitting outdoors where we could still hear the music. The atmosphere was perfect, and the skirt steak salad I had was quite tasty. The music was decent, but all in all it made for a very relaxing evening. Would definitely go again!

Pretty basic hotel with the usual amenities. Their outdoor area is very well done with fire pits in the middle of the tables. I didn't spend much time there as I just started the night but it served its purpose and the staff were really nice

For “The Bistro” restaurant hidden within. An good Friday night place to enjoy an evening with friends. The staff is polite, professional and attentive. The proprietor James Maltby is welcoming and interested our evening’s success. Meatloaf, skirt steak salad and salmon salad are good entrée choices. The chocolate mousse and a cup of decaf for dessert.

Very well kept, the hotel is clean, spacious and well served. They provide appetizers for free around dinner time and have other snacks available for free throughout the day. Can easily recommend this hotel.

The new bar and outdoors area is really nice. Lots of classy gas fire pit/tables. I can easily see meeting up with some friends and catching up outside.

A few major positives for this property: 1. The backyard patio area is amazing, with fire pits, plenty of seating, and a nice pool. 2. A number of the rooms have nice patio areas that although might not give you much of a view, gives you an opportunity to be outside the room in a private area. 3. The rooms are fairly spacious, I had 2 double beds and a large sofa in the room, and it wasn't cramped at all. 4. Free parking! 5. Free popcorn in the lobby

However, there were a number of issues I encountered at the hotel... First, the hotel is a bit dated, there is a lack of power outlets in the rooms. The bathroom was also showing it's age, as well as the lobby. In addition, we were kicked from the backyard patio area at 10PM which was fairly early.

Overall, would consider coming back, but there are also other great properties in the area I would try out

Friendly and alttentive service. The receptionist to the bartender were all extremely personable and helpful. My room was clean and as-expected. I would definitely stay here again for a business trip.

Staff was super friendly and my room was great. I had a 1 king bed with a really nice updated bathroom. My room was an even number and it was facing the street so I could hear street traffic. That was the only downer.

I stopped off to pickup friends and I found the hotel fairly nice and comfortable. The hotel is easily accessible from Hwy. 101, El Camino Real, San Antonio Expressway. Love the interior and rooms. My friends enjoyed the rooms and stay.

The Courtyard Palo Alto Los Altos is a mediocre hotel situated in a great location. The rooms seem a bit dated, with ugly patterned wallpaper old light fixtures, and the service can be slow at times, but the hotel's proximity to Stanford University makes it an ok choice for business travelers or those who want to see the sights around town.

Pricey Courtyard, but they do all the little things that you need to make a trip go smoothly. Friendly staff, got greeted with free pizza. Definitely a good place to stay on business.

This is my favorite place to stay in Silicon Valley. It is among the best hotel experiences anywhere.

The service is extraordinary. There are many regular business travelers in the hotel and they treat us like family.

The hotel is maintained very well, with many good areas to relax both in/around the lobby and outside in the courtyard and pool area. The rooms are always clean and comfortable, and the Internet connection (fast!) and business center make it easy to be productive.

This place blew my mind. As a very frequent traveler, and devotee of Marriott properties, I thought I knew what to expect from Courtyard properties. Clean, efficient, not much character, but a place to reliably get you on your way. Perhaps the case everywhere BUT here.

The front desk was warm and funny, they had a little bar in the lobby with beer on tap which you could then take out to the large fire pit in the beautiful courtyard, or pour in to a cardboard coffee cup if you so chose to then take to the enchanting little outdoor pool (safety first kids! no glass at the pool and of course, no running!). They put out free snacks (pizza, chips and salsa, veggies) in the afternoon, and had fresh popcorn throughout the day. Courtyard, who ARE YOU right now?!

So much more than a businessman's standby. This was truly a place to unwind and relax. Fantastic.
