• Improve their environmental performance constantly

ISO 50001 provides a framework of requirements for organizations to:
- Develop a policy for more efficient use of energy
- Fix targets and objectives to meet the policy
- Use data to better understand and make decisions about energy use
- Measure the results
- Review how well the policy works, and
- Continually improve energy management.

It's a nice hotel that may be a little more fancy than my family is. The rooms are nice, but average for they price. My kids love swimming on the pool. Staff was very friendly and helpful with any needs that we have had.

Good location. Have stayed there a few times. Pretty nice place, but had noisy neighbors a few times. Had a nice managers reception one evening, with complimentary beer & wine and a variety of finger foods. I was also once charged $13 for one small glass of (not all that great) micro-brew beer in the lobby bar.

Friendly and accommodating staff. Bed was noisy/squeaky, and the bathroom didn't look very clean. Very quiet though, couldn't hear the multiple parties going on outside!

Location was nice since it was the last hotel on its road. Rooms were of average quailty. The bed was above average for comfort. We had to ask for the bedding for the foldout couch and it was promptly delivered.

This is a 2 star hotel trying to be 3 star. When we arrived they had the garbage and sheets for every room lining the hallways. Not what you'd see in better hotels. Their breakfast buffet I get for free at holiday inn Express was $66! Thank God for the military discount covering it. No fridge in room or hot tub. This is pretty much standard in all other better hotels. 1st time I was there they were under massive construction and this time their whole system went down. 0 for 2. Will look for Holiday inn in the future.

My husband travels for work and sometimes I get to go with him. This was the first time we stayed in a double tree. No fridge or micro wave the rooms.. Toilet was filthy. And I have never stayed in more noisy place. The house keepers were extremely noisy through the halls. And one night we were woke up by what sounded like someone hanging pictures for an hour.. this will not be my first choice ever..

Good location. Rooms were clean. Front desk was responsive to requests. The only thing I wanted that it didn't have was was a refrigerator.

So when i first entered the hotel it was nice & beautiful. i had a hard time liking this hotel when i first walked to the front desk, the lady seemed to not want to be bothered with me being there, it just wasn’t welcoming. there was a lady named regina there & she was amazing, she made my stay worth while!
The rooms to me need some touch ups, especially the bathroom shower. I came in & it just looked like housekeeping rushed thru everything.
The best thing i can say about this hotel is LOCATION, The cookies & The breakfast! THE BREAKFAST IS WORTH THE 15$!
The porter house is expensive!
The pool is great!! & big.
Would i stay again? wouldn’t be my first choice but breakfast makes up for all.

Good value for the money. The Hotel Restaurant, Porters, is the best food I've had outside a high-end local steakhouse! 5 stars for Porters.
Only negative is that the complex is in need of refurbishing.

Great staff and I loved the restaurant being attached to the hotel. I think some rooms are overdue for some upkeep, minor things like nicks and scratches on the walls, stains and chips on bathroom fixtures and some outdated furniture. Nothing major but these things should be managed before they become major problems.

The showers. This place is let down by the showers in the rooms. They're not great. Low water pressure, worn fixtures, small bathroom, tripping over the toilet. Not great. On the plus side, the interstate is easy to access for a straight shot to St. Louis and it's one of the better hotel breakfasts for a Doubletree. It's not awful. I won't avoid the place.

Maintenance item to address: I'm a Hilton Diamond member. I travel extensively for work and stay at a lot of different and various Hilton properties.

Having said that, this property is fantastic. Very clean. Super friendly staff. Room is spot on. Clean, and housekeeping never missed a beat each day.

Honestly, I'm surprised with the attention to detail here at the price point its at.

Side note: the on-site restaurant (Porter's, also reviewed) is not to be missed. Yes, there is an up-charge for the convenience but it's worth it! Great bar selection and super friendly staff. In addition to happy hour specials, a bar menu with special pricing, and live music on Thursday.

Keep up the good work! This location makes travelling for work a bit better. It also makes being a Diamond member better!

I can honestly go on for days ranting and raving on how this hotel operates. I am happy to recommend this hotel to anyone traveling, getting away, or simply having a drink/meal locally. I travel for work so I like to think I know what I'm talking about. Lets start with the rooms; the rooms are clean (most important) as well as provide that "home" feeling. The staff; incredible, welcoming, and very knowledgeable! I don't write many reviews but I had to here. I want to thank the general manager for making my stay(s) incredible!!!

Not to bad. Wish they had actual trash cans in the hotel and that I didn't have to close the door to do anything in the bathroom. Very little room. Beer at the bar is pretty steep as well.

We had dinner at the restaurant, Porters, within the hotel. We were greeted at the host stand by a very friendly gentleman. We had a reservation and he sat us promptly. Our server, Arielle, was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and specials. There was not much wait for the food and it was prepared perfectly! The creme Brule was phenomenal but a little pricey. We will definitely be returning!

Had I not been completely exhausted to the point of passing out as soon as my head touched the pillow, I would have requested another room or checked out & gone to one of the hotels down the street. There was a blue substance on the bathroom counter, significant mildew around the bathtub, & the floor had been so poorly vacuumed there was a mens shoe under the curtains from a previous guest. There was also poorly patched wall damage, raw metal from previous damage to the toilet paper holder, and a large red stain on the carpet in front of the couch. Definitely not what I've come to expect from previous stays at this hotel.

The hotel is starting to look run down again. The carpets in the hallway were showing signs of bunching up and the plastic sign for our room number fell off the wall within hours of us checking in. We mentioned that to the front desk on our way out to dinner and they fixed that right away.

I don't feel the value of staying there with room rates over $100/night and no free breakfast. The onsite restaurant is not owned by the hotel and is very pretentious for the location.

The hotel and the Gateway convention center need to come to an agreement to split the costs on building a handicap ramp to make it safer for mobility challenged guests to traverse between the two locations because the current way is not easy for them nor is it really safe after dark.

Love Double Tree! Very nice room. However, had to request a frig and a very small frig was put in room at my request, but for the price, all rooms should have a frig and microwave as standard like cheaper hotels do. Love the room service!! The breakfast was a large portion with great tasting food!!

Very clean, very nice and the staff was accommodating. When we made the reservation we asked for a king size bed but when we arrived the reported overbooking king rooms and offered us a queen size with 2 free breakfast coupons! Where do I start? I stayed for 4 nights. I arrived Thursday and left Monday. When I arrived, the first room had black mold in the bathroom. I didn't notice this until I had already unpacked, so I packed everything back up and was moved to the Hilton Honors floor (I'm a diamond member, and I've stayed a more than my share of Hilton properties). This was by a long shot the worst Hilton property Iv'e stayed at.

This is the only Hilton property I've stayed at with no refrigerators in the rooms, and no microwaves. When I asked about it at the front desk, I was told that this was a management decision. This started my doubts about the management of this Hotel. The rooms do have safes in them, but when is the last time you USED a safe in a hotel room? Yeah, me either. I called the front desk, and was sent up a fridge without charge. I should have taken a picture of it. It was badly dented (from being moved around) and moldy on the inside (from being cold/hot cycled).

I left on Sunday to go to town and sight see, etc. This is the only day I asked housekeeping to come into my room. Before I left, I shut the lid on my suitcase and made sure my pillow from home was on top of it. When I returned, the suitcase was open (???). When I went to get a cold water bottle I opened the fridge and it was not running and hadn't been all day. My food in there was warm and ruined.

That was just my room. The hotel LOOKS nice in the lobby and public areas, but that quickly fades in the halls as the carpet isn't as clean as I'm used to, the elevators were dirty (I never saw the floor get cleaned, and it was packed with dirt along the edges around the base), and the hallways got so HOT at night, like they turned them down to save a buck.

In short, even though it's cheap, it's cheap for a reason. The working staff was GREAT, everyone I spoke to was polite, etc, but it is clear to me that it's poorly managed from a customer point of view. I would avoid this and spend a little more to stay elsewhere.

This is a good hotel and restaurant for the area. One of the few hotel restaurants at which I'll eat. It's not fine dining, heck it's not even great. But for Collinsville, Illinois it's pretty darn good. Probably one of the best choices on that side of the river.

I think this is a fine Hotel. The service is very very good, but I think the rooms could use some updating. I think this used to be a different property so DoubleTree still has to do some work. However, overall it's been a great day.

Older hotel but they have done a good job with keeping it up to date. They didn't have an Ethernet port in the room and the TV was pretty old, but the bed was great. There are not a lot of choices in Collinsville so I would call this probably one of the best if not the best option while there. Staff was very friendly. Nice gym. Nice hotel, great welcome cookies and a fair big pool. But the wi-fi in our room was not working and they couldn't fix it. Also when we checked-in with our puppy we were told the room is X price plus tax per night, nothing about the pet fee, but when we got the printed payment later we noticed there was 50 $ pet fee nobody told us about. We should be notified they charge for it.

After checking in, I received a tasty chocolate chip cookie, what a great start! The room is fairly small, but I also don't need anything fancy. For the price, I expected a fridge but I survived. All the standards were there - TV, good WiFi, comfortable desk and bed, and friendly service. Location is good, next to several restaurants and shopping, if needed. Overall, a good experience and I can recommend.

Wow stay for the free breakfast, like a cruise ship. Smoked salmon with capers, prosciutto, fresh seasonal fruit, omelets to order, bacon, waffles, sweet rolls, etc etc. Staff was very sweet and helpful. Rooms updated which means plenty of electric outlets, coffee maker fridge in room, efficient bathroom., good beds, heavy drapes let in no light. Little tricky to find from highway just use GPS. Very comfortable and affordable hotel for business travels. The Porters Restaraunt staff, including Ken and every other employee, made this place feel welcoming and a little more like home, which is always important to any traveler who is away from their comfortable environment.

The room itself was decent. Everything was clean. It was a decent size. We were woken up multiple times, however, by a faulty smoke alarm. It kept going off almost every hour. The o ly remedy the personnel had was to change the battery. That did not work, but they wouldn't do anything else. While the room was nice, the staff wasn't much of a help. We probably won't be back.
