Really impressed with this hotel. Beautifully landscaped, clean rooms. Check in and out was very fast. The full breakfast was a crowd pleaser as was the indoor pool. Would recommend to anyone wanting a pleasant atmosphere. The river view rooms overlook a pleasant area where you can feed the geese and ducks or enjoy a bite to eat on the picnic tables.

Jacuzzi room was nice. Staff exceptionally nice and helpful. Breakfast was very nice. Certainly didn't expect a full breakfast at an Ecno lodge. Pool was nice however we only got to use it once and even then it was mostly filled with children. The pool needs to be monitored more. Since it is so small I feel like there should be some adult time such as after 9pm. Clean rooms and loved feeding the ducks and geese.

Best hotel in Pigeon Forge, TN. Perfect location, directly located beside The Christmas Place before light 3 "Wears Valley Rd" going in to town. The rooms are really clean and beds are super comfortable. The staff is very attentive and friendly. My kids love feeding the ducks on the river behind the hotel and the free breakfast is fantastic!

My husband and I have stayed here several different times, and we enjoy it. Overall, the rooms are very clean, and they have a lot options for breakfast. Their breakfast room is small and was really hot during our stay, so we opted to eat outside on the patio. Also, the elevator is slow, so we usually took the stairs. They have a heated indoor pool on the courtyard. It goes from 3ft-5ft deep. They have a hot tub, and a little kiddie pool that is a foot deep. This was wonderful for our kids.

I would recommend anyone to stay here.

So much more than I expected from an Econo Lodge. Rooms were clean and well kept. Indoor pool was very nice with hot tub, both were great after a busy day in town. Very nice pavilion with grills and tables. Beautiful fire pit on the river, we made smoores at night..River is beautiful, ,even caught a few fish. Travel with my wife, son, and his girlfriend. All of us loved it here. Nice central location. Oh yeah, good breakfast. Will definitely be back.

Vey nice hotel. Breakfast was eggs, sausage links, biscuits and gravy, cereals, pastries and more. Walking or sitting along the river was very enjoyable. We loved sitting by the gas fire pit. Right in the middle of town and a trolley stop steps from the front entrance. Very reasonable even at peak season.

Loved the Econo Lodge Riverside! Breakfast was so good! Air conditioner didn't work when we got in our room and maintenance came right away and replaced it with a brand new one. The grounds were beautiful. It was very relaxing!

Our FAVE affordable hotel in the area. Delicious and filling, hot breakfast which is great if you're on a budget. Very nice pool. We really enjoyed feeding the geese outside by the river and the Guinea birds are super neat, although freaky to look at hahaha. Sitting by the river after a day of traveling is peaceful and relaxing.

This place also has the absolute nicest receptionists we've ever met in a hotel.

7

Loved the quality of the hotel! Was pleasantly surprised by how nice the rooms, staff, pool area and the river view with all the ducks you could feed!! Definitely glad I got an outside room with an outdoor balcony. I imagine the inside rooms would hear most of the noise from the pool. The bathroom could've been a little cleaner when we arrived. Still very pleased with our stay and would definitely return and suggest to friends!

The hotel wasn't bad. But wasn't great either. The front desk got our room number wrong, they sent us to a room at the front of the hotel by the noisy highway, but our keys didn't work. So I had dragged all the heavy luggage up the flight of stairs for nothing, and the front desk didn't bother to tell me there was even an elevator in the hotel. :/ We ended up actually being in a completely different room than the one they sent us to. It was one of the few "interior" rooms above the pool. Which sounds great at first, but the screams and noise from the kids in the pool below echoed up to us on the 3rd floor. So much so that it sounded like they were screeching right outside the door. The pool stays open til 11pm, so if you try to go to sleep before then, it's just not happening. And if you think you'll ever get a moment to have a calm swim with adults in the pool or hot tub, think again. On the plus side, the hotel backs up to a beautiful stony river which might end up being your only actual "getaway" spot at night. The breakfast is actually pretty good, and thank good that have premade waffles that you just heat. So no major messes with kids trying to use any waffle mix. Overall, it's an average stay for your money.

Reserved a room at the Econo Lodge in Pigeon Forge TN. The room was one of the cleanest rooms I have ever stayed in. Bedding looked to be brand new. Nice walk down to the river with a outdoor fire. When we go back we will definitely be staying here! Well worth the $! We got everything we were promised an more! Very nice staff as well.

If you are looking for a family oriented place to stay in the Pigeon forge area, look no further. The hotel is located near attractions and restaurants, some in walking distance. The room we stayed in had two queen beds, enough for a family of four but it would feel crowded for a larger family in my opinion. The room was clean and comfortable. We visited for spring break and even though the hotel was at full capacity, the noise level was minimal with no disturbances to speak of. We would definitely consider staying here again when we come back for a visit.

The room was clean when we got in with lots of room! Extremely comfortable beds, i loved them and the indoor pool and Jacuzzi was fun! Will come back again

We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel! The rooms were fine with plenty of space and cabinets. The breakfast was good with lots of hot food to choose from. The river area was very nice with a shelter house, grills, and fire feature. You could get corn for 25 cents to feed the ducks, geese, guineas, and pigeons. The pool area was great too! It had a warm baby pool, a good sized swimming pool, and a spa. There was plenty of seating. The staff was friendly! We will be staying here again!

Have stayed here several time. The rooms are clean and the facilities seem to be well maintained. The back parking lot is right on the river. We enjoy feeding the ducks. Not in the best location for walking because of traffic, but located close to restaurants, shows and shopping...

Got a good deal to stay here and according to the other reviews, it seemed to be the best Econo Lodge my wife and I ever seen. Main reason for the 3 stars is because our toilet in room 353 was constantly backed up even w/o using it. After contacting the front desk and wasting time on our vacation for maintenance multiple times, I finally had them get us a plunger to keep in the room. I was never once asked if I wanted to move to another room. Breakfast both mornings was nothing worth getting there early for. The only reason it isn't a 1 star is because the very kind and apologetic blonde lady behind the counter refunded one of our night's stay without me asking. Also, do not stay here if there is a lot of rain in the forecast because the river will flood the parking lot.

We had a king room on the 3rd floor with a river view. It was very clean but the bed was hard and the refrigerator didn't work. It was also a very small room. The river view is more a view of a ditch with water in it. I would save your money and stay in a room without a view. I would stay here again because the staff WAS EXCELLENT and again it was very clean with a great price! They are all so pleasant and helpful. The location is convenient as well.

Beautiful property on the river & right next door to Christmas Village. River walk, duck feeding machines, picnic gazebo, aderondak chairs around a gas fire pit, and a wonderful hot breakfast. We had a 1st floor king room with a river view. It was a great room, very spacious. Would have given 5 stars, but our room was close to the laundry room, and apparently they either had some seriously lumpy loads to wash, or the machines were falling apart. The noise was horrendous & started at 6am sharp!! Other than that, it was a really nice place!

Location was great on the main strip in Pigeon Forge and on the North Fork of Little Pigeon River. Rooms were clean and well stocked with towels. Breakfast was provided and was equally great. There is a outdoor, riverside pavilion complete with a fireplace and charcoal grills. There is also an indoor, climate controlled pool area with a heated main pool, kiddie pool and hottub. We will be revisiting. Excellent service!

I really liked staying here. The room was very clean as was the beds and bathroom. I honestly thought the bed would be hard as a rock because most hotel beds are but these were just as comfortable as my own. Plenty of towels and toilet paper. The indoor pool was a nice amenity to have when it was 20° outside. I'd be very likely to stay again.

7

Clean comfortable room. Free breakfast was common, nothing to write home about. Painters made excessive noise in the morning, setting up ladders. Very reasonable rates for the room. Location was very close to most venues in town. Trolley stop right next to the driveway. Handicap curbs not very convenient to some rooms. Could be much better to accommodate wheel chair and rolling luggage.

We stayed in a room that opens into the pool area (2nd floor). Our room stayed very hot due to the heated pool area. We ran our A.C. every night & our room was still warm. Keep in mind, it was 30 degrees outside. The pool area is great for kids, but it stays open late nights (noisy). Breakfast was nice. Room was clean. Friendly staff. Great location! Would stay again. There's a lovely creek behind it with a walking path & geese.

Great location - easy back road to Dollywood makes this a Preferred Hotel when visiting there.

The breakfast buffet is great, except they have a tip jar glued onto the only open spot near the coffee - meaning once you fixed your plate of food, you better like your coffee black b/c there is nowhere to put your plate while you modify coffee.

We stayed on floor 2 overlooking pool, and had to go outside then back in to get to pool - uncomfortable in the cold weather.

We checked in on a Wednesday and our room was perfect. Everything was clean. The staff was very nice and helpful. The only thing I didn’t enjoy was the breakfast. The waffles were very cold and soggy. But I understand not having a waffle maker to feed that many people. They were updating while we were there so we weren’t able to park directly in front of the room and come Friday and Saturday night we had to park on the complete opposite end from our room. But other than those two things we will definitely be staying there again.

Was first put in a room on the other side of the laundry. Staff immediately moved us to another room. Both rooms were spotless and smelled clean. Pool area was nice and clean. River walk area was very nice with several tables under a covered picnic area. There is also a fire pit area surrounded by chairs.

This hotel is well worth the price. Rooms are priced very well also. The breakfast here is the best breakfast I have ever been to at any hotel. The food is great. The dining area is large. The staff is friendly. The property is huge and it is located in a great part of town.

exceptional stay, would come back, really didn't want to leave. Geese and mallards and pigeons were so relaxing to feed on river behind motel. Housekeeping was great with clean sheets everyday and towels and anything we needed. A topper was that we hit it when old cars were there, husband loved that also.

Amazing place to stay. Very quiet and relaxing. Staff is friendly and helpful. Parking lot and along room doors very well lit. I felt safe. Pool was clean ,open space and perfect water temp. rooms were clean and good size. You can walk along river ( wear shoes due to geese poop, but the sidewalk is washed daily). at night there is a fire pit where you can sit and relax as well. the price and value was very good. Best place we stayed on entire vacation.

I've stayed at Econo Lodge twice over the past month due to a family emergency. Both times the staff was great. Our room was always clean and comfortable. While there my daughter and I enjoyed the heated pool and the hot tub which was just down the hall to our room was nice to have an in door one. Breakfest was always good. They made sure that the hotel was in excellent condition and kept clean. The only problem was the AC was very loud in the 2nd room we had.
I would highly recommend this hotel to any looking for a good place to stay.

My room faced the very noisy main highway running through Pigeon Forge. If you stay here, get a room facing the river at the back of the hotel, with the geese. Breakfast had passion/guava juice, not just the usual orange juice, but nothing hot for vegetarians/vegans.Ducks or geese were nice, and you can feed them if you bring quarters. Centrally located in the middle of Pigeon Forge, near Mellow Mushroom. The room was clean and fine, but I would not stay here again because of the road noise.

This hotel was very impressive. There wasn't a thing that I would complain about. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. My kids loved the pool, which was also clean. The breakfast was very impressive and the sitting area was huge in comparison to other hotels I have stayed at. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to the Pigeon Forge area. I will also stay at other EconoLodges in the future... I only hope that they are as excellent as this one.

My family and I had such a wonderful stay a few years back, that we just booked again for this August. We typically visit the area from Florida every other summer and in years past we would strictly book cabins. However, renting a cabin while vacationing on a budget created some restraints on how much of the area we could actually experience. By opting to stay at the Econo Lodge and alleviating some of the greater lodging costs that comes with renting a cabin, we are able to experience more of the attractions that the area has to offer. The staff are friendly, rooms are clean, and the breakfast is fairly good. I would recommend to anyone looking to visit the area.

Good place to stay. We love the river area and the geese. The only thing I would change is the breakfast area. It is too congested and chaotic. You really can't set down and enjoy breakfast for all the people fighting over food and a place to sit. Not a good experience over that part. I can't comment about the food because I just got aggravated and left to get breakfast out. If it wasn't for that, I would have rated it with five stars. All the other accommodations was very good. Nice staff and grounds. Love the BBQ area too.

Can't beat the central location of this hotel. Close to all the best spots in Pigeon Forge. The staff was nice and the rooms were clean. A couple things to note if you plan on staying, refrigerator needed to be turned on in room. Also, the noise from the pool can get very loud for the inside facing rooms. This may not be a problem for some, just keep it in mind when booking your room.

a very nice hotel. very friendly staff. they are accommodating as well to the needs of so many. I loved the duck river in the back. esp with my daughter. she was happy seeing and feeding them everyday and night. the housekeeping even folds my daughters blanket and put her toys on the bed. it was extremely sweet of them! and the breakfast was kept up with and tasted really good.only problem was the noise level at midnight. slamming doors was a big problem.. among others.

Nice hotel. The only complaint would be the fact that kids were jumping from the upper end of the pool. This is a safety hazard and puts guests in an odd position to have to correct other parents children because the hotel does not monitor the pool. The pool was very foggy.

Usually I don't like to post reviews, however I'd like to post one for this EconoLodge. The staff is very polite, professional & very accommodating. I requested a late checkout & needless to say was in shock. The night manager let us checkout at 1400 hrs, which is by far the latest we have ever checked out. That was a Blessing in disguise.
The indoor pool is clean & heated. The hotel also has a wonderful hot tub & a "kiddie" pool.
We missed breakfast, so honestly I cannot leave a review. However I saw pictures of the breakfast layout / menu. Looks delicious.
When the time comes to travel to Pigeon Forge, I will make a point to stay at the EconoLodge Riverside.

The Econolodge Riverside exceeded my expectations. The setting was comfortable, with a fire pit and a walkway along the river in the back, a Bit of peace in the busy area. We got two rooms close to each other without having reservations on a busy evening. David Rose was very friendly and got us checked in quickly. We loved the River and watching the ducks and geese flying. The firepit and outside eating area were a wonderful feature. The rooms were big with 2 closets and very clean with free booklets and coupons for area attractions. The breakfast was amazing with eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, fresh sliced peaches, plus all the regular cereals, etc. Would highly recommend.

We paid alot for this motel and had high expectations. We were pretty disappointed. Our room was tiny! It could definitely use some work. The carpet was stained, paint was chipped and peeling, door was hard to open...just a few minor fixes. There is no fitness center. The location is very central in pigeon forge. The parking lot is awful to pull in and out of, especially during dinner hours.
Paying over 110 per night is just too much for this mediocre place. We'll choose a different place to stay next time we're in town.

I want to say that this hotel has always been great and we were so excited to come back to our favorite hotel with our two children. The first night was awesome and then everything changed. There were several guests that checked in the day after we arrived and they were very loud and rude. I had several young kids outside of our door until 1:30 am for two nights straight. They made my kids pool experience a disaster due to how rough they were while swimming. It's a real shame we couldn't give our kids the best experience they deserve. To top it off, somebody threw some sort of liquid off of the balcony and it landed all over our car the night before we area set to check out.

I think we'll try another spot next time.

I recently stayed one night here. It was a very enjoyable stay. The rooms were very clean. Breakfast was very good. The most enjoyable part of the stay was the location right next to the river. It was very relaxing. My son had a blast with the ducks. If we find ourselves needing a room in Pigeon Forge again this will be the place.

We were looking for a rather inexpensive hotel that had good reviews in the Gatlinburg area. Most hotels online were around $130-150. Fortunately, we came along the Econo Lodge Riverside.

Prior to walking into the lobby, I had checked in on Yelp and to my surprise, there was coupon! So I was able to save even more off my reservation.

We checked in around 7pm and there was no line or wait. The gentleman at the reception desk was very friendly and helpful. Checkin was a breeze and we were off to our room.

The room was nice and clean, we didn't care for a view or anything as we were just spending the night after a long 12 hour drive. The bed was a king size firm, very comfortable. There was also a mini fridge, microwave and few other items that come standard with rooms.

The hotel grounds are nice, theres a large indoor pool and two hot tubs. Behind the hotel lies the river where you can go and feed ducks (they have corn for sale, $.25 in machines). Just watch out for the duck poop.

Unfortunately, we didn't make it to breakfast but from what I was told, it's a full hot breakfast.

Two things that I noticed that I wouldn't like, one is that there are a lot of children there (which is fine), but the pool is open until 11pm, so if you have one of the rooms facing the pool, it could get annoying as they were all screaming and jumping around.

The other problem is the wifi, which we couldn't even pick up in our room (no problem for us as we tethered my phone). The staff did mention they have new equipment on the way to fix that issue.

There are plenty of food options around the hotel, though most delivery options are just pizza.

We stayed for 3 days over Valentine weekend. The ducks and river were super nice. We had to ask for a change in rooms because when we made the reservation our request wasn't honored. The change was easily made...not friendly but they did change it. We were poolside 1st floor and the wifi connection was horrible. The pool was nice and my little one loved it! The hot tub and pool were a bit on the cool side. The hot tub is small. Crowded with 4 people and awkward with strangers. The price was good though! :-)
