Great hotel. The room had a beautiful view to the beach. It is located in a perfect spot. The room was very clean. The breakfast was wonderful.

They are trying their hardest to keep up with the hotel with it being a packed summer weekend. I appreciated all the hard work the staff put in to maintaining cleanliness. I've stayed here before and will stay again. If you are staying with kids get the upgraded 2 room suite. It is worth the extra money.

Very nice hotel at Virginia beach oceanfront. Hotel is right on the boardwalk at Atlantic ave and 19th street. As a Marriott Gold member I was given high floor nice suite. Staff is very good and work hard to please. Asked for plug for my EV and they were accommodating and allowed me to park on the first level next to plug. Breakfast was good with variety of food including hot items. House keeping cleaned room well. We had suite with double balcony with ocean views. Next door mice seafood restaurant, across the street other restaurants and gift shops. Harris Teeter is nearby along with Walgreens. The only minus was a/c a bit noisy in rooms. Room price was also not low by any means as well (late $200s to late $300s) although it is to be expected in high summer season. Overall very pleased with my stay. Oceanfront rooms and suites along with friendly staff and clean modern hotel with good breakfast-you can not go wrong to stay here while in Virginia Beach.

One of the best hotels; it was so clean. Beautiful view, and staff was very friendly. I travel with my special needs daughter, so it was very accommodating in regards to her needs. I cannot express how friendly all of the staff was to our daughter and ourselves. I recommend this hotel to anyone traveling with special needs children. The beach is right out back easily accessible for wheelchair use.

Construction all over but staff were friendly and tried to be accommodating. Hotel is undergoing work that closed the pool and part of main lobby the day we arrived which was a bummer after a 9 hour drive from NY. I had to bring all luggage through patio over a curb which was a huge pain. Breakfast options are decent and got to use the pool later during visit. Onsite gym was good for the size. Construction was also going on nearby roadways causing a lot of frustrating detours. Location is convenient to many restaurants, the beach and stores within 10-15 minutes so once all the construction is completed it would provide excellent value.

Service was great. Pool and hot tub were we all maintained and comfortable temps. Breakfast was hot and they provide several options . Beautiful ocean view room

Staff were friendly and understanding. We arrived at 6am when check in was at 4pm. They treated us as if we had stayed the night before. Rooms are clean and quiet. Ocean view. Breakfast was verried and healthy. Parking was cramped, but what can you do on beachfront property. The 'gym' was a dissapointment with 2 treadmills and an elliptical, but my wife and I plan on doing lots of swimming and body workouts instead.

It was a great time! The staff was very nice and the view of the ocean was superb! The location of the hotel was decent and there were many stores within walking distance.

Clean, Courteous staff. Hotel was walking distance from the beach (pretty much anything else). Two chairs for sitting out on the balcony while taking in the views. Walk in shower with an area to sit for a steam bath or to sit while washing. The bathroom was reminiscent of a spa. Just remember to take your room key with you to the beach or outings so that you can get back into the hotel.

Great location! Some things are a little outdated like the curtains but overall pretty clean. No random hairs found, no musky smell. Complimentary coffee 24/7, clean pool, small fitness room and free breakfast.
It’s 5 stars in the way of touristy town hotels. Will definitely be back.

I stay here a few days every month. This last visit was not so great. Staff was rude and the breakfast was gross. The shower and sink kept backing up. I'm not a happy camper.

Hotel was clean and well kept. Rooms were average size but also very clean and simply decorated. The pool was small however our family enjoyed an evening swim nightly til 11pm. The parking garage is difficult to maneuver if you have anything larger than an immediate sized car. There was no restaurant on site or meeting room. Enjoyable stay overall.

Parking is a nightmare but you can beat the location right on the beach. They have upgraded the rooms since the last time I was here. Nice and bright with all the newest tech.

Loved my stay. The staff, view of the ocean/beach and everything was nice. The weather could have been better but I plan to visit again when it warms up.

Dec 2017 holiday lights visit. Staff was very friendly. Great hot and cold breakfast items. Room Oceanview was very good. Warm room. Would recommend again for December visit

Newly renovated. Very clean, great 55 inch television, comfortable beds. All rooms are oceanfront. Great views. Parking spaces are small.

One of the nicer hotels right in the beach. Off season the price is great, in season you pay for the location but if you are spending most your time in the beach or want to do early morning runs in the boardwalk, then it's well worth it. You can walk most of the beach from here, though some other locations might be a little more centered.

Nice room with a beautiful view. Typical hot continental breakfast and the person working was fantastic. We enjoyed our stay.

This is probably one of the best Marriotts at Virginia Beach that I've stayed in besides the Residence and Courtyard North because I haven't stayed there but I assure you that you will get the most amenities with this hotel then any other Marriott in VA Beach. This place has a pool, hot tub, exercise room, free breakfast, beach access, printer and computer access, and a convenience store. All the rooms have an ocean view and they are pretty average but up kept rooms. Also this is a good place for the 4th of July because this is right in front of where they do the firework show. One con about this place is that the pool is usually always sandy because people come in there right after the beach and it would be good if it wasn't as sandy. Overall this is a very good Marriott and I would either stay here or Spring Hill if I was choosing Marriott.

Great beachfront hotel with all oceanfront view rooms with a balcony and great views. I even saw dolphins from my balcony. The service was great and a bonus that breakfast is included and coffee and water always available on the lobby. The room was nice with the size being typical for the a beachfront. The one downsize was that my room smelled like a collage boys bedroom. I could and should of requested a room change, but I didn't, which was my mistake. I believe the hotel would have changed my room.

Nice stay. First they gave us a room that smelled really bad but as we informed the front desk that switched us to different room. Just wondering about that smelly room.

The staff was all smiles and very friendly. Especially the front counter associates. Very accommodating towards my mother's needs and wants. Parking was never a problem, and neither was checking in or out. Breakfast was tasty and filling, and they actually had juice options. I do wish the gym actually had more than a few treadmills, but that's a minor inconvenience.

Great beach front hotel. It is nice, has excellent beach access, near everything in town, within walking distance, very friendly staff. I rates 4 stars simply because the hotel itself is a bit older and could use some renovations but overall great location and nice room.

The rooms look like the 70's puked up the 80's. A burnt out light, semi-clogged sink, and weird smell from the AC is how our first night started. The staff made up for the inadequacy of our room. Breakfast was included but the first morning felt like a free-for-all at Grand Central Station.
The rooms are alright and do include a great view from the balcony. This just wasn't what I have come to expect from a hotel carrying the Marriott name. I'm not sure if I would stay here again.

Great views!!! My family of 3 visited Virginia Beach Aug.4-7 2017 and stayed here!! The rooms are oceanfront, very clean and awesome staff!! The complimentary hot breakfast was a plus also!! Location was perfect with plenty things to do nearby!!!

It's little different than any other Fairfield Inn. If you've been satisfied with your stay at others, you'll be quite happy here. However, this Fairfield has an advantage over others: all rooms are ocean facing! You are about fifty feet from the beach, and the view is wonderful!

Bad not a happy visitor.why? Parking is very bad. Building is not designed properly.
Only the Hk Supervisor can talk proper English. Hk people are courteous and respectful.

This hotel has 1 MAJOR problem and her name is Kelly. She's suppose to be a supervisor, but we found her to be the most condescending, rude, unhelpful woman ever! She spoke to us as if we were children she was scolding instead of the mid-thirty Marriott Gold members that we are. I won't go into detail about the issues we faced, but when one employee is telling us we are absolutely right and she's telling us we're making things up there's a problem. With that said, this hotel is SO LUCKY to have other staff and supervisor. I could not speak more highly of Morgan and Thomas, who were both understanding, polite and more than willing to help us. They are the ONLY reason my review is 3 stars instead of 1. If it was just based on kelly I'd give zero stars if possible! That being said I will not be staying there again, and this was my second time there, just to avoid kelly!

Basic room but clean. Very curtious and helpful staff. Left clean linens outside when do not disturb sign out. No room service available.

The rooms had an odd smell, and the pool was small, but the service is impeccable. All hotel staff are polite and courteous, and the hotel is conveniently located right on the beach.

Great location on the boardwalk with all ocean facing rooms. The furniture (e.g.chairs and couches) were a little worn. Free breakfast was good and consisted of a variety of proteins, starches, and fruits.

Staff was great! Room was a smaller than other oceanfront properties we have stayed at. The furnishings were very dated and surprised The room did not have blackout curtains. The beds were harder than I like. Kids loved the pool & hot tub. The price was right but wouldn't be my first choice in the area.

Staff are great and accommodating. All rooms are Ocean Front with a small balcony located right on the Boardwalk. Free breakfast, pool, gym (only 3 cardio machines) and hot tub. Can't go wrong at all for the price.

The only negative thing I could say is about parking, it is very limited. They only offer one parking spot per room. The staff is wonderful! The evening horseman was fantastic! I cannot say enough good things about him! The breakfast was great too. All in all, I'd love to stay here again.

Clean rooms, nice staff, pool/whirlpool which our kids loved. The free breakfast was great as well, eggs and meats and other goodies.

View - absolutely Amazing! Ocean view room- beautiful except for couch that is frayed on the arm. Staff is friendly. Breakfast, yuck, I waited to post until 2nd morning to give them a 2nd chance - English muffins were more stale than yesterday, potatoes more stale and over cooked. Fruit was frozen and mushy. I would stay here again but eat out for breakfast 😆

Great service here, with great beach access. Hotel was clean and organized, but for some reason. Entrance is crowded with cars and little room to maneuver if there are service vehicles parked. Great view from the 9th floor. Also got an incredible view of military exercises as helicopters raced by in the dark.

Great selection of ice cream sandwiches. I had the Belgian waffle sandwich with cookie dough and peanut butter ice cream. Very good. The server's were very helpful.

We came for a quick weekend getaway and had a great experience with this hotel. It's in a fairly quiet location and within walking distance to some of the more likely areas. We had our kids with us and they enjoyed both the beach and the small indoor pool. The rooms were nice and parking while tight was available. We will likely choose this place again in the future.

Very pleasant hotel. Located right in the middle of the main street so there are places to go as soon as you step outside. Room was very nice. Staff was very friendly. Only complaint is the small parking garage but every hotel has that. Overall great place!

All staff members were nice and accommodating. We loved our cleaning lady Layiah. The kids loved the indoor pool and breakfast was great. The view from the hotel room was wonderful. On the flip side, one of our rooms smelled like urine or ammonia. Even after spraying it still smelled. There were no safes or microwaves in the rooms. One night there was an electrical storm, we were without power for almost 5 hours. I guess the bottom line is that the Fairfield Inn wasn't up to the Marriott standards that I expected.

Great service and they always restock their drinks and food down in "The Market" and also they have a wonderful breakfast from 6:30 AM-10:05 AM and they have amazing high speed WiFi and has 30 megabits/sec. Upload and 28 megabits/sec. Download. I would go to this hotel more often

We just finished our stay at the Fairfield Inn & Suites and I must say that the staff were outstanding!! Rena at the front desk was so wonderful and helpful with our stay. Jordan in housekeeping was the Best, his customer service was outstanding!! The ladies who prepared our Breakfast every morning could not have nicer. The staff at the front desk were also the very best!! The rooms very nice and I loved the beautiful colors of Aqua and Yellow. I would highly recommend this Hotel to all my Family and Friends!!! Great Job by everyone!!! I will be back!!! Many Thanks, Michelle Lacy

I stayed here two nights for my cousins wedding. I checked in on Friday night. It took me an hour to get to the hotel itself because of a bar crawl for college students. I was exhausted from driving all day to get here. Granted that's not the hotels fault. As I tried to find a place to park which was slim to none, I finally found one off to the side. When I rode the elevator to my floor, it stopped on a lower floor. When it opened the entire elevator filled with the smell of marijuana. I wasn't happy, but I figured they would find out who it was and get it under control. The rest of my family came down the next day and had the same problem on the floor above it. Every floor reeked of marijuana. As we were leaving for the wedding, they were finding the pot smokers and throwing them out. When we returned from the wedding, someone had pulled the fire alarm so they were weeding people in and out. As I was trying to sleep there were people screaming all over the place (up & down the hall, it different rooms, etc.).. My family had the same complaint on the floor above me. At 5AM the fire alarm went off again, whether someone pulled it or it was just a drill I'm not sure. I was extremely upset. My 70+ year old uncle had to walk down nine flights of stairs to sit in the lobby for 15 minutes to be sent back upstairs to our rooms. This was absolutely not worth the $226 a night to stay here. I'm am genuinely upset and have stayed in cheaper hotels with a better stay. I will not be returning. Granted, the ocean front was beautiful, but it was cold so we didn't enjoy it much.. Staff was very friendly, but they weren't very concerned with people smoking illegally in their rooms nor did they seem to care that they woke everyone up for no reason. I'll remember to stay at the cheaper hotel rather than what others consider nice.
