The buffet had a beautiful view of the lake and the food selection wasn't bad at the price either. The food was fresh, but your usual American buffet fare. The staff were professional and polite throughout the meal. It would be nice if the decor was updated, it's presently reminiscent of an old cruise ship. The intake could also use some streamlining.

Beautiful view. Great service. Nice prices. Very yummy and well plated food. The prime rib was fantastic. Well seasoned and medium rare, just how I asked for it to be. I had a baked potato. They serve all the condiments to load it on the side which I really appriceate and loved. Great wine selection. The bartender made perfect red wine spritzers. 🙌

First time in Lake Tahoe. I came to this hotel for a seminar. The checking process was fast but the lady never told me that it will be a fee for parking. I parked the first 2 days for free and the third day a very rude man without any manners approached to our car asking for $13 parking fee. I tried to explained that we didn't pay for parking the previous days and nobody told us that there will be a fee for parking, but He was so aggressive and I got scare and paid with a credit card. When I went to the front desk in the hotel the lady explained me that it was something new that the parking it was no free anymore, but she never explained that the first day. She called the supervisor and he waved us the resort fee for one day for the inconvenient. The hotel is in a good location the room was clean and the indoor pool was good also . I am giving the 4 stars for the parking inconvenient. If I come back to Lake Tahoe I will stay here again

It was my first time going to Harrah's Lake Tahoe and the experience was not that bad. We went mostly for the buffet. The line is very long when you take the elevator up to the floor before the buffet even opens at 5pm. I have to say the selection of the buffet is very good but it gets pretty crowded. So I suggest lining up before 4:30pm to get ahead of the crowd or go later when the line simmers down. There is a nice view of the lake when you are dining though! And the smell of cigarettes is not present so it's like a breath of fresh air which is great compared to other casino buffets where the smoke lingers in the air while eating your food.

Spent a summer afternoon in the casino playing blackjack and roulette. The dealers we're nice and helpful to another player who hadn't played blackjack before. The table service staff was nice and quick. I had a fun conversation with the roulette table dealer when it was just the two of us then it started getting busy around 6/7 pm (on a Wednesday). I'll definitely go back the next time I'm in the area as I had fun.

Came to work the Tahoe Tattoo Show this year and it was by far my favorite convention I've been to. A lot of that was due to the environment. Our hotel room was clean and comfortable. Everything you could want is either in the building or within walking distance. The mountains are beautiful. And the casino is lively and fun. About a 15 minute walk to the lake. I would definitely love to come back!

I spent some time at Harrah's buffet for a rehearsal dinner. The food was good and all of the staff was very nice and helpful. We were able to get a corner section of tables so we were away from most other people which was very nice because we ended up inviting a lot of people to the dinner, and we had plenty of space for it.

Location is excellent but what set this place way above and beyond expectations was the service from the concierge team of Tania, Theresa and Vanessa. It was our 15th year anniversary and we booked an evening boat cruise to see the fireworks from the lake. Unfortunately a couple hours before we were to be picked up, we received a call from the cruise line telling us the cruise had been cancelled due to mechanical failure. We were devastated to say the least with my wife in tears and calling down to the concierge to see if there was anything they could do help us. They worked their magic and were able to get us on another cruise line that had been sold out. I will never be able to thank them enough in helping our anniversary be a memorable evening that we will never forget!

Overall very good. The rooms are nice but old. 2 fulla baths are nice touch. Dinner at sushi Kai was wonderful. Breakfast at the river Cafe was far better than the reviews had lead us to expect. People have been exceptionally helpful and friendly.

Went there for the buffet on the 18th floor. The food at the buffet is okay; not bad at all, but hard to recommend. The selection of food is fairly basic as well. There is a salad bar for those that want to pretend to be healthy. Dessert section is pretty diverse actually. There's several selections of cakes, pies, crepes and soft serve ice cream.

I was with my mom gambling at Harrah's. The dealer, pit boss, and drink server were awesome! So friendly! And when I stopped in at the Starbucks-- everyone there was so nice and helpful! The valet guy opened the door for me too as I was struggling to open it while pushing my baby stroller. Iwish I was staying there. I def will next time.

Harrah's Lake Tahoe has very comfy beds that were not hard like other hotels I have visited. The bar service was quick and the drinks were amazing. The hotel was clean and the rooms come with two bathrooms which is different. Overall I would definitely stay at this hotel again in the near future.

Great view of the lake! We were on the 14th floor on the south side of the building and we had an amazing view of the mountain and the lake. Rooms were clean but could use an update. There were two bathrooms in each room which was very convenient when multiple people are trying to get ready. Room service was fast and had good food. Overall very nice and would stay here again.

Nothing paid out for me but i did see other people hit something or at least heard them so somebodys luck was better then mine at Harrah's. Over all it was a pleasant experience with live table games, slots, and video poker. Room and food i did not get to try as i was only passing by and had a room at the Hard Rock.

My wife and I got Married in Lake Tahoe, so it is one of our go to destinations. Harrah's has great rooms, reasonable prices, a super buffet, and of course a first class casino. The buffet is on the top floor with a beautiful view of the lake and Lake Tahoe, to enjoy while you eat. I do have trouble breathing in Lake Tahoe, after 3 heart attacks, the air up there is very thin. But we keep going back year after year.

I did not stay overnight here but did gamble for a while. One of the major drivers for us to leave Harrah's and gamble at the hard rock was the music. Was continued to hear Disney songs played over and over while gambling. This did not make it a very pleasing atmosphere. I would recommend something that is more upbeat and shared between all ages. Note, this didnt just happened once, it continued on and on.

Owing to a very busy schedule, my girl and I haven't been able to go on a vacation without kids in years. She told me as we were driving home that it was the best vacation we have ever had together, and I think it was because of the phenomenal staff at Harrah's. It was just courtesy and kindness, it was the kind of next level of customer service you dream of but very rarely experience. We cannot wait to go on vacation again!

While on fishing trip to El Dorado national forest, I took a detour to Harrah's to try my luck at slot machines. The drink servers were consistently coming by and very friendly. Slot machines weren't as cooperative but still had fun. Lots of people partying and gambling having fun.

I visited Harrah's Lake Tahoe with my dad and my best friend for the dinner buffet, but for $38/person, we felt underwhelmed. While the prime rib and salmon were wonderful and juicy, the ribeye was tough and overcooked, and my dad lamented the lack of king crab. The New York cheesecake dessert was very fluffy with a hint of lemon, and a good finish to the meal. Our waiter was attentive and quick to take our drink orders and cleared away dirty dishes promptly, so we appreciated that. Overall, great service with good food, but as the food was underwhelming, we likely won't return for the buffet. My best friend and I enjoyed ourselves at the arcade afterwards, so thankfully the night and our visit wasn't a complete loss.

I stayed in this hotel over the last weekend of March, 2018. Lake Tahoe Blvd was closed for emergency repair work and traffic was diverted towards Harvey's. I parked my car in Harvey's parking structure and walked through a somewhat confusing route towards Harrah's front desk. After I checked in, I needed to return to my car to bring my luggage, but I got confused again and found myself in Harrah's valet only parking structure. This was where I met one of the most ill-mannered and rude valet attendant ever. He treated me as if I was some sort of criminal or burglar even after I mentioned to him that I was a hotel guest and showed him the room key. I tried to tell him that I entered the valet only parking unintentionally looking for my car, but he just kept telling me in a very rude and suggestive way that I was not supposed to be there. I remember passing by a group of valet attendants before entering the structure and they could have stopped me there. But instead they chose to wait until I got inside so that they could harass me. I felt so humiliated and my whole weekend was ruined. I am glad that my two kids were not there to witness this unfortunate incident.

This is my first time at this hotel, they are so welcoming when you come in. The showers and rooms are really clean but a side note. We are staying in the suites. The employees definitely go above and beyond in terms of making sure you have everything you need. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you need somewhere to stay.

Stayed in the "value" room and I would say it was quite the good deal for a standard hotel room. The bed was fine and the bathroom was pretty nice. No fridge and only on the 4th floor but that might be the reason it's a "value" room but that wasn't a deal breaker. Would definitely stay here again.

Love this place! It is my go to spot when I visit South Lake Tahoe.

The employees are always friendly and the rooms are always fresh and clean and cozy.

Did I mention each room has two bathrooms? Because each room has two bathrooms. You'll never look at hotel rooms the same again after experiencing the joy of a room with two bathrooms.

The buffet is great, too. Sticky pork ribs for the win.

If I could give more stars I would..but the family went here after my sister in-law got married. The line for the buffet was really long so it's a must to reserve a spot. Fortunately we had a 5pm reservation which is right when they open. The food choices we awesome seafood, Chinese food i.e sushi for sushi lovers. BBQ chicken and pizza the onion rings we're my favorite. The waiters were on top of everything too from drink refills to cleaning up the extra plates. The dessert was the best part. Pie choices from Apple to cherry, cheesecake, chocolate covered strawberries (my fave) ice cream and more.

I'm going with a 5 star because we had much fun. The atmosphere was great, the staff so very nice. We even played a bit and it was fun. The rooms are a bit dated well the whole place is. But, it's still really cool. A bit of paint some touch ups would go along way. But everything else was so great. You can overlook that it needs some love.

Always a fun time at Harrah's Lake Tahoe. We had an exceptionally great dealer, Mark White, when we were playing PaiGow. His attitude was very fun and pleasant. He kept us entertained and was also very speedy and accurate when it came to dealing the game. To carry a conversation and accurately handle the game without error is a skill very few dealers can accomplish. When we come back to Harrah's, we will keep a look out and play at his table!! Thanks Mark!!

I didn’t realize anywhere still allowed indoor smoking, but it does. They say there’s free WiFi but it never worked for me. In the middle of the afternoon on a weekend they had a few tables going, but most of the clientele was on the slots. I came hoping there would be shops and food, and that didn’t really pan out. There’s a Starbucks, a jewelry store, and a souvenir shop. It’s sort of near the town shopping, although weirdly that mostly seems to be in the California side with presumably much higher taxes. I watched craps for a bit and when a table got hot for a few minutes several staff members came over, so it seems that’s not so common. The hotel entrance had a bunch of lanterns set up in the ceiling, I guess for Lunar New Year, so that was nice. I guess it’s fine if one really wants a casino, but it was exactly what I’d expect, except possibly less entertaining.

The $25 buffet was amazing! Went there for brunch and got a seat next to the window with a beautiful view of the lake. Casino was fun during the early afternoon when not a lot of people are there. As soon as the crowds poor in, so does the smoke. Had to leave early due to heavy increase of cigarette smoke, that was the only downside. Other than that, the stay was fun!

I went there to gamble, pure and simple. While the facility is nice and the service is good, the gambling odds seemed terrible. But then again, maybe it was just a bad steak... I did spread the love across many machines, though, and still a vacuum for the money. I also ate Fatburger while there, which was delicious. Will go again for location.

Went to do a little gambling and eat at the buffet. The buffet was excellent, but the prices were higher than they told us on the phone earlier that day (because it was apparently steak and seafood night - so I'm not complaining). Food was excellent and service (drinks are table service) was good. The casino itself is clean and well-ventilated, so very little cigarette stench compared to other places.

We ate at the buffet which was clean with plenty of fresh food. The food tasted wonderful however the service was very poor considering how busy the restaurant was at the time. I paid for the tip ahead of time will pay for the buffet and after the waitress brought drinks she took the tip receipt and walked away. And almost an hour I only saw the waitress one time.

Beautiful location, lots to do, nice clean comfy rooms, kind staff, & I liked the view from my room! Getting to the room was a bit hectic. The casino is a bit smelly. Right near Harvey's and by shopping. I enjoyed the restaurants! I miss the old days of Keno with writers, one armed bandits, and $2 Blackjack! It was a lot of fun!

Harrah's Lake Tahoe was amazing! The hotel isn't huge nor is the casino but its large enough to spend a week exploring. I loved the simplicity and the service was 5 star no question. The food even the room service was some of the best I've had. The view from our room which was in the back of the hotel was still amazing. I only take the time to review places that are worth reviewing and this one deff is! If you visit, go across the street to Harvey's for more food and game options.

This hotel was fine. We went for drinks and slots. When we asked the front desk a question. The bellboys just stared at us. Then we waited in the lobby for our group and the continued staring. The bar tender was annoyed when we ordered beers. But it was clean and didn't smell too bad.

Elegant facility. Fabulous buffet in top-floor room. Other restaurants serve good food but curtailed open hours don't serve the public well. Noises on the casino floor suggest at least some slot players are winning, but we seem to win less here than elsewhere.

We were staying at Harvey's across the street but came to Harrah's to check it out. Much like Harvey's, it had every type of gambling, plenty of bars and other amenities. Not sure any more. Can't have any fun it seems like any where in Tahoe these days. From the homeless people to the campgrounds and from people making rudely comments that really are insulting. If they where true then it would not bother me. I have been doing Lake Tahoe for a week and then Reno for HAN for years now. Every time in the last couple of years it has been getting worst and worst. The bus system is dirty and dirty people along with it (MOST OF THEM). Way to many trouble makers from the Camp Richardson Bar and Grill right up the line. What ever happen to the people that just want to enjoy the views and Mountains with a beer. Yes the laid back people that don't take to conversation but do a lot of thinking. If you do get in to a conversation just watch yourself, that is if they come over to talk to you. You never know you might have trumped up police reports against you. To many judgemental people. I do want to thank the security guard at Harvey's for a couple of soccer guys was trying to say that I suck *&^$. No I don't suck *&^$. You might, I don't. Had one lady tried to follow me in the restroom one time a couple of years back. Would not have been bad if she was not 40 pounds over weight with only half of her teeth left (this was at Harveys) Car show is not there no more. Don't feel to bad Harvey's HAN is getting to be a hassle to. I will always go to Tahoe maybe just a different time of year. the sports book at Harvey's is clean non-smoking BIG BIG plus. .8-7-17 follow up...WAY WAY better then the last couple times I was there. Getting rid of the people that cause trouble. see ya next year. Cool place to meet GOOD PEOPLE and talk sports. Gains another star to 4 stars. John thanks for your 25 years of Naval service. Keep up the great staff. Won't let me change to 4 stars but is now...

Harrah's was a lively hotel. There was a popping young flavorful crowd. DJ playing decent beats on the dance floor. The casino was busy with all sorts of people. Sportsbook was tame and clean. The rooms were plenty suitable for the group I rolled with. Very solid experience at Harrah's. The cleaning folks were gracious and never once turned down any requests we made.

I love going to Harrahs in South Lake Tahoe. Everyone is always friendly and very kind. This visit we found the shower head covered in some debris, which immediately set me back. I also discovered wrappers tucked into the couch in the room. If a little more attention to detail was given, I would say it would have been perfect.

Pleasant staff. It is a bit dated in decor and a little frayed around the edges but a good value. The mattresses are comfortable linens are nice and thick, they definitely didn't cut corners on the linens. Everything was very clean; if worn. There was a full bath and shower as well as his and hers vanity and dressing room along with a private commode. We were given a lovely suite with a stunning view as an upgraded room although right next to elevator for MY convenience it was quiet and restful. All and all a good value for the area. The restaurant selection was also pretty good. I did not visit the Station this visit but I'm sure it will not disappoint. For the younger set it did look like a very full arcade with many choices of machines.

I am visiting for a week and have had a wonderful time! I've checked out the casino, arcade, and showroom. I did not book a stay at Harrah's. The Casino was a lot of fun and has a great staff. Smoking is allowed. They have been busy everytime I go. Weirdly, the poker room is across the street at Harvey's, which they own/operate. Plenty of games from the classics to a few spin offs and many slots. It is also very well ventilated. The arcade was perfect. I have the worst luck finding ddr machines in arcades and this one has all of the 90s classics and ticket winners. The showroom was a bit small and hardly inclined, so seeing over your neighbor was a bit tough. This was offset by super helpful staff, 2 bars, and a really great show! I saw the Pink Floyd light show, loved it. I did find it strange that I had to pay for drinks, while right outside the doors I did not. All in all Harrah's is a really entertaining night. A fun casino, great shows, and other options like a large arcade helped me enjoy my visit and my vacation.

I don't know how else to describe this casino except tired. It's a bit shabby around the edges, just about everywhere. We went to the buffet, the arcade, and the floor for some 21 and slots action. I don't know about the accommodations, but I would expect them to be as tired as the rest of the facility.

With the size of the place I was surprised I couldn't find a least $5 table running 21, everything seemed to be $10 (which at my poor playing skill means the game is over way too quickly). The hostesses were nice and everyone seemed relaxed and the machines were clean.

We were here off-season (while the winter people are tapering off but before the summer people arrive) so it wasn't really busy.

Great hotel/casino located in a gorgeous vacation town. The room was clean and very spacious. One thing I appreciated was that the casino area wasn't overwhelmingly smoke filled and it also didn't smell like smoke as well which was nice if you are a non smoker. The staff was friendly and accommodating and the restaurant offerings were plentiful.

My family and I were staying nearby and decided to come and check out Harrah's. The casino was clean and in order. Like many casinos, it smelled of cigarettes. The staff was kind enough to show my child and I the location of the arcade which is where I spent most of my time. The arcade was clean and most of the machines were up and running. The only downside was that the kiosk that exchanges tickets for prizes was closed...I guess that means we will have to make another trip in the future. All in all, I enjoyed visiting and would recommend this place to people of all ages.

Traveling with 4 kids, we decided to swing in here to hit the food court and give everyone a little variety. There wasn't a lot of choices, but enough. The food was a tad overpriced to be a good value. You always pay more on vacation anyway. We ended up playing in the arcade while my wife played some slots. We left with more money than we had coming in! Great casino. Good entertainment center. Family place for sure.

First walked into Harvey's, and noticed it was smoky. The tables were pretty full, only saw a few of the lowest, $10 minimum, blackjack tables. Then walked over through the underground passage into Harrah's. Harrah's was kind of like a mirror image of Harvey's but much bigger and nicer. More modern looking, not like a dungeon like Harvey's looked. I couldn't tell if the smoke smell was better or not since by then my sense of smell had grown accustomed to the smoke at Harvey's. But I think it was better. Finally found a table, $10 minimum, unless you want to play with a digital dealer, which is $5 minimum. I ended up winning 7 Blackjack with in about an hour! Wow $100 profit! Good Times. Good luck!

Went to the buffet, which was our first mistake. The food tasted like it was created by and for white people that spent the last 30 years smoking. Everything is seasoned, primarily with salt and too many grown adults were using their hands when tongs were available. Even the desserts were sweeter than I anticipated. Service wasn't bad, thus two stars rather than one.

There were a lot of empty table when we were waiting in line for a long time. The seating could be faster. The food variety is good but doesn't have a lot of good choices. One of our favorite was roasted pork. All the other dishes are average tasting to less than average. There were lots of crabs but they were not fresh. The waiter is fast in serving us drinks and cleaning the table. Not worth the price. But if you have a group of people and cannot decide on what to eat and don't mind spending over 40 per person, go ahead and dine here.

I personally love going to Harrah's and eating at the buffet. I would recommend against going to fatburger. A meal is 15$ each, it's not your best value in the casino. Also I recommend parking at Harvey's and using the tunnel between the two casino's in the winter as Harrah's parking is outside.

I really like this place. I don't gamble, but I go here with my partners who do. It's the best casino in the area, and it's not too smokey-smelling. The pool is never crowded (since I've been), and the rooms are nice.

I grew up here.(mom loved to gamble). When i was just a kid i went to the day care center they had and it was lots of fun when i got older ( in my teens) I hung out in the arcade. So many fond memories of this place. Now all grown up i visit here every time im in Lake Tahoe. I just stay away from the gambling not my thing but they have great dining and i still love to visit the arcade for some sir hockey or video games. Still a kid at heart.

Absolutely gorgeous view, it's actually the BEST view in town. It's the tallest building around and you get the most amazing sunsets and sunrises every day. Staff are all VERY friendly and helpful no matter how late! It's great that its open so late, it gives you a chance to still get some food if you stay at the casino longer than expected without having to go to jack in the box or some fast food place. Great food, open late, great service and staff overall. Will be returning

We went to the buffet on Veterans Day. He line was rather long but moved fairly consistently. Once we were seated the food was excellent as always. The server was good but not outstanding. She looked a bit tired. It was probably a long day for her and we were there at the end of the evening. The buffet is always excellent and we will be back next year like always.

We went to Harrah's for the Forest Buffet. That was a mistake. $75 for dinner for two and it was mediocre at best. Crab legs were fishy, everything else was just not good. Even the salad bar was lacking. I've had better salad bar options at Chuck E Cheese. Although there were several dessert choices, most were not as good as they looked. The only good thing was the pecan pie.

Other then the smoky feeling with any casino...Harrah's is great. The service when playing tables and slots was quick and friendly. The dealer was willing to explain the rules, I had not played before - but my sister was experienced. We sat together and the dealer was friendly, and educated me on the main game and side game. We went to the buffet and everything was tasty. I did not care for the champagne or desserts - they didn't taste good.

This was one of many times visiting Harrah's.. I love the atmosphere, the food and music is great. And it's located within 3 casino hotels. It has great arcade rooms for the children. Which gives us adults some "playtime" I will go back many times. There is nothing bad I .can say. About it! Everyone needs to experience Harrahs, Harvey's and all the great things offered there!!❤

What I love about places like Vegas, Reno, and Tahoe is their close proximity to other large venues. I was staying at a resort nearby for the wedding, but it dos not have a casino. Seeing as most of our group enjoyed gambling, it was a downer, but it worked out because Harrah's was a 4 minute walk. The atmosphere of this hotel is very Fremont St in Vegas, just less dingy. We hungout at the Sports bar located behind the tables. It was 2 am on a Sunday so the tables were very limited, but slots are 24/7. The spprts bar was open all night as well, we eere hanging out and drinking to our hearts content. This casino bas many slot options and, had we been there earlier, lots of tables too. Great atmosphere. It was definitely empty due to it being a Sunday night at the end of summer, but the emptiness was nice because there were no waits.

The restaurant the forest buffet was delicious though the wait was a bit long to get in. There was many options to choose from and the Chinese food was particularly good. The steak and turkey dishes were also very fresh and well cooked. I would definitely return here for dinner. The price was a tad high though.

We visited Harrah's while staying at the adjacent Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel. While there we ate at the Hard Rock restaurant located in Harrah's, which was sub-par in both taste and offerings from a small menu selection. However, we were primarily there to gamble and drink. My friends said the drinks were mixed well and were quite strong (I don't drink), and were very happy with them. I played craps and blackjack and had posiyive experiences at both, with friendly and helpful dealers. The slots seemed very tight, however. Great lighting, fun mood, and a good selection of games, Harrah's was a fun stop in Tahoe.

We had a lot of fun here. My son loved the arcade and pool, and for us, the room was really nice (and very comfortable bed). We didn't gamble. Only 4 stars because the line for the buffet was so long (we waited almost an hour before we walked away) and there isn't a breakfast place besides Starbucks or room service (which was worth the high cost, btw). This place needs more food options and to have a bar at the pool.

Had such a great time last Thursday! Love the rooms with two bathrooms, Mel at the Rendezvous Bar, and meeting Scott Dinubilo, one of our best insurance client's sons! Also enjoyed learning about 3 card poker, and the dealer, who was patient with us learning! Hope to get back soon!

Value for rooms are not a bargain, rooms are a bit outdated and the whole hotel soon needs a remodel. But as always, this is the hotel that sticks out with more to offer than others. The buffet up on the top floor is very mediocre, the chefs need to cook better Asian styled food and offer more.

Don't trust the concierge recommendations on activities. We were extremely disappointed by one of their recommendations. Gross misrepresentation of what would were to get on the Bleu Wave cruise. I would rather smash my forehead with a ball peen hammer than go on that cruise again or take the advice of the Harrah's concierge. Rooms are dated (think Johnny Depp in "Blow" type decor.) Will not stay here again.

We only went to the casino and had quite some fun. The service is quute good, with regulat drinks and friendly staff. It can get quite hectic on weekends, but that adds to the fun!
