Certifications

ISO 14001

ISO 14001 is an internationally accepted standard that outlines how to put an effective environmental management system in place. It is designed to help businesses remain commercially successful without overlooking environmental responsibilities, such as:

• Improve their environmental performance constantly
• Comply with local and national regulations and other requirements subscribed
• Prevent water, air and ground pollution hazards
• Control and optimise water and energy consumption
• Promote waste recycling and recovery
• Raise environmental awareness among employees and train them to adopt good practices in their activity
• Use eco-label housekeeping products
• Use sustainable forestry certified paper

ISO 50001

ISO 50001 is based on the management system model of continual improvement also used for other well-known standards such as ISO 9001 or ISO 14001. This makes it easier for organizations to integrate energy management into their overall efforts to improve quality and environmental management.

ISO 50001 provides a framework of requirements for organizations to:
- Develop a policy for more efficient use of energy
- Fix targets and objectives to meet the policy
- Use data to better understand and make decisions about energy use
- Measure the results
- Review how well the policy works, and
- Continually improve energy management.

Good location but they need to have security in the parking lot. Stayed there for 2 nights and one night someone’s car was broken into. Housekeeping does an awesome job cleaning the rooms and front staff is also very friendly.

I had a great weekend stay. This hotel is conveniently located in Chinatown.

The room was very quiet, clean, and the staff was very courteous and acknowledged me each time I came and went. I had zero problems during my stay and would stay here again.

Again, the room was quiet (I didn’t hear my next door neighbors or the people above me).

The following aren’t complaints, they are tips and advice if you find yourself here. Shower controls are backwards in some of the rooms. If your water doesn’t get hot, turn it the other direction. I wasn’t able to figure it out on my own, so I had to call the front desk - they sent a maintenance guy out to explain it to my dumb self. Pool is kind of small and the hot tub was out of order - but I avoid hot tubs in public places, so no big deal.

Breakfast is NOT included with your stay and they have a sign that clearly states that before you walk into the cook to order area. It was about $12 for breakfast.

Two entrances - easy to spot and get in and out on the northbound frontage road of the Sam Houston Tollway, but confusing to get into from Bellaire Blvd - use your GPS.

Staff was very friendly especially Trenton and Ali at the breakfast bar. Very nice atmosphere to start your day with. Hotel was always clean and all needs were attended. Only knock on this hotel was that the beds were quite as comfortable as I've come to expect from Hilton. Other than that very nice hotel and staff.

Our robotics team was recently in Houston for a competition and we stayed 4 nights at the Hilton Garden Inn on Sam Houston Parkway. Our experience with the hotel was flawless. The rooms were always clean and stocked with toiletries and coffee. The public areas were impeccable. The staff were friendly and professional.
Now for the best part. Breakfast was wonderful! Because we had to be on the bus by 0630, the host,Trenton, and cook Maricela came in very early to make sure that we had an exceptional meal to start off our day. We had fresh scrambled eggs and sausages, gravy, bacon, grits, oatmeal, waffles, cottage cheese and a variety of fresh fruits (blueberries, pineapples, strawberries, apples, and bananas).
Trenton went well beyond the expectations of a hotel host. His courtesy and personal attentiveness made our hotel stay a true pleasure. He is a GEM! We would definitely look forward to seeing him again.

We had a management training there a few weeks back. It was very nicely setup and service was spot on. Did not have dinner there, but every time I would pass the restaurant the smell was delicious. The rooms were nice, and looks like they have been recently updated, or at least in the process. The ground were very well kept and definitely looked like an inn the garden, no pun intended, haha. Overall very pleasant experience, will definitely be back.

Nice location to lots of shopping areas and restaurants. Friendly staff, clean room. The on-site restaurant was not great. Food was bland and service was mediocre. Will stay here again but skip the restaurant.

Weird location, near Chinatown but felt very isolated, surrounded by a large un-maintained field.

Decent room of average size with a mini- fridge in it.

Good restaurant, very inexpensive. Friendly bartender, very limited wine selection.

We had a good stay overall. The rooms are standard size but nice and clean and the refrigerator was appreciated. I did not like the beds, they were very soft and that is just not my personal preference. But overall a nice property.
Staff was nice, however, I wish that the restaurant recommendations of the hotel (they provided a list) would include some of the restaurants that are very close, almost walking distance. I would have loved to try some of them, had I known about them. So I would recommend to do your own research if you can and not rely on the hotel for recommendations.

Good location for checking out Chinatown. Convenient to highways as long as you are comfortable with toll roads. Room was pretty standard in layout. Bed and pillows left much to be desired. Thermostat seemed to have a hard time regulating room temperature. Staff was very friendly, and the on-site breakfast options were pretty good for the price point.

I enjoyed my stay, it was clean, and the staff was friendly. The breakfast was pretty good but it's 12.95 for access to everything. Waffles, fresh fruit, eggs, omelettes, all cooked right there for you, oatmeal, bagels, muffins, etc. Coffee, tea, milk, etc.

Went for a wedding event, I did not stay over night. I did get to see what their suite looked like. As neutral observer, the room looked outdated and felt a little run down. The ceilings looked a little run down like a cheaper motel 6 would have. The tvs, furniture, and decor just felt like a cheap motel. I do not know what the price for a night was but based on what i was looking at. With it being a hilton, i was not impressed. If the price is low, then its not too bad. Just be aware of what you are getting.

Clean and quiet. Just what I want on a work trip. Food was decent even if there aren't enough staff at night to cover front. Service was slow, but it wasn't her fault, she hustled and I wasn't in a hurry.

A normal Garden Inn. It was clean, but I could never get rid of a smell that wasn't quite cleaning products, but wasn't nasty either. Did not eat breakfast there because even diamond members have to choose between points and breakfast. A great location, right by Chinatown. I even caught a glimpse of an owl by the field next door. Friendly staff.

Wonderful service! Front desk staffs were very nice and knowledgeable. The room was really clean. With that said, the hotel is old. While other hotels invested in modernization, this one got lost in time. Almost everything shows signs of aging.

Not impressed. The rooms were fine, but this place will nickel and dime you like crazy. Rollaway bed? $12. There are no vending machines so you have to buy any necessary snacks or drinks from the "Pantry Pavilion," where a granola bar is $2 and a travel size contact solution is $7. Breakfast buffet? $13. Would not recommend for any reasonable person who may need a snack, drink, or reasonably priced breakfast.

Great location in the middle of Houston's China Town. Rooms were clean. At first I was disappointed that breakfast wasn't complimentary but I ate there anyways and it was well worth the price of $9.95 for the buffet. Highly recommend this place.

I recently had a function at the Hilton Garden Inn Sam Houston Ballroom and the staff was very friendly, the staff was very accomodating, and the sales manager was very attentive to our needs. Everyone of our guests enjoyed they time at the hotel and we will definitely come back to have events here or have a weekend getaway.

Was very pleased with my stay. I am from Germany and travel quite a bit for business to the US. I like to have a clean and comfortable room during my stay, and this is exactly what I got. Staff was very friendly, and breakfast was nice too. Chef even made me some poridge that was not on the menu, very thoughtful
