ISO 14001

ISO 14001 is an internationally accepted standard that outlines how to put an effective environmental management system in place. It is designed to help businesses remain commercially successful without overlooking environmental responsibilities, such as:

• Improve their environmental performance constantly
• Comply with local and national regulations and other requirements subscribed
• Prevent water, air and ground pollution hazards
• Control and optimise water and energy consumption
• Promote waste recycling and recovery
• Raise environmental awareness among employees and train them to adopt good practices in their activity

ISO 50001 provides a framework of requirements for organizations to:
- Develop a policy for more efficient use of energy
- Fix targets and objectives to meet the policy
- Use data to better understand and make decisions about energy use
- Measure the results
- Review how well the policy works, and
- Continually improve energy management.

I can't say enough about the service and the staff at Hilton Gardens. Beautiful clean rooms and attentive to all your needs. Great group of people throughout our stay!

Everything was exceptional!! We stopped late in the evening & they were so accommodating. Brenda at the front desk was so sweet!! All the staff that night & next morning were so friendly. The room was clean and the beds & pillows so comfortable.
We enjoyed the 24 hour pool & hot tub. We will definitely return on our next trip through!!

It was ok, certain areas need updated/deep cleaned. The indoor pool is very cold and the pool deck needs either cleaned or redone. We chose to stop there because it was getting late, we needed a room, and Hilton usually has good places. It worked for a quick one night passing through but if I had to do it again I would look elsewhere. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Pet-friendly which is a turn off for me. Pets are allowed on floors 1 & 2 only. I was on floor 5. Staff was very friendly & helpful. Bed was comfortable & room was clean. We were leaving at 5:30am. Only coffee in your room for free. Complimentary coffee only when breakfast is available. :( most other hotels have free coffee available 24/7.

My parents got a room just for the morning to sleep and get back on the road. The front desk and one waitress were the sweetest most accommodating people I've ever met in my life I couldn't have made it through the day if it wasn't for them. They may not know it but they saved me. Thank goodness for them. I'll never forget my experience here.

For me the most important thing is cleanliness. I am so picky about hotels and I love this one! Super nice staff. The sweet woman at the desk gave me a discount and we were able to keep both our dogs in the room with us. I will definitely use them again! Clean, professional, and FRIENDLY atmosphere. I should add that I’m writing this review from my cozy hotel room.

Staff is friendly and helpful, even to the point of assistance in baggage handling. Looks attractive and clean, but I found soiled washcloth on shower curtain and could stand a bit better housekeeping. They did quickly remove cloth and replace curtain. When I went to check out my bill had been marked as paid without any discussion. I'd go there again, with my eyes open and after combing the room for problems first.

It was a great experience if you can get past the blood in the pool bathroom, which was not the hotels fault. It was probably someone doing drugs, with a bloody nose or something. Only complaint is that we called the hotel and they said that the pool had a warm part and it was broken, besides what they said.

We were traveling from Savannah to Philadelphia. Perfect midpoint stopover. Right off of 95. We got there later than expected and wondered where we'd be able to get something to eat...so happy to find they have a small restaurant and bar that is open until 10 PM! We had our dog with us....no problem. Nice room..quiet with a good bed. Didn't stay long enough...but nice setting, pool etc. Great hot to cook breakfast. Very good service. Will be our go to place for this route in the future!

Front desk staff courteous and efficient. Room was outstanding! Breakfast was great too. Hot tub in pool area wasn't working which would have made my stay even better. Really, this property was beautiful and I would definitely stay here again.

I found the cleanliness of this place surprising. I was expecting the usual toothpaste splatter and stains on the rug but no. This place was actually well maintained. The only thing that did bother me was being a person with pets,I couldn't find the pet stations outside. Where's the poop bags?

Absolutely the best Hotel In Halifax County. I've stayed here several times during my travel. I stop in because I have family in Roanoke Rapids. This hotel is beautiful, smells great. Staff members at the front desk could use some more training but that the only complaint. The dinning area is very clean and lots of room. The food is made to order and it's 5 star Quality Food. The Suites are beautifully designed and very spacious. Lots of room for parking. Ant it is very secure and safe to stay unlike many other hotels in the Area. I love the friendly staff and they greet you everytime you walk through the lobby. Beautiful views from the rooms.
If you want a nice luxurious place to relax with everything you could think of. Please spend your money here at the HILTON GARDEN INN IN ROANOKE RAPIDS NC.
GREAT STAFF AND EXCEPTIONALLY CLEAN.
Thank You for pleasant, and comfortable stays.

The people at the hotel are very helpful with attending to anything you need. They helped us resolve a booking issue that wasn't their fault without question or issue. However, breakfast is not free, and we didn't know that. I like breakfast. I do not like paying for it when other hotels don't charge you.

I enjoyed my stay. Room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The staff I encountered were nice. Didn't try the restaurant but I did see some complaints in other comments. The best part for me was location. Right off the highway and close enough to food and shops.

The location is right off the interstate close to shopping and food all less than 15 minutes away. The rooms were comfortable, well stocked, with good quality items. I stayed two different nights a week apart and my only complaints were that once person checking us in was not particularly friendly, the restaurant is a bit overpriced, and the hottub could cause a cleaning.

Overall, my family enjoyed the stay at Hilton Garden Inn. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. The kids really enjoyed having the indoor pool there for some rec time when we otherwise be sitting around. Low points were the resteraunt (food was awful) and they could've kept the pool area cleaner.

The hotel was nice and the people working there were wonderful. The beds though we're not that great. Even though they were supposed to be adjustable the buttons or knobs we're broken but the rest of the stay was great!

I'm a a big fan of Hilton Garden Inns in general and this one did not let us down. The rooms were clean and new, the staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast was delicious and freshly prepared for us. We stayed here while we were on the road but we would come again anytime since it was such a good experience.

Our balcony door did not lock. The jacuzzi was closed for maintenance. The carpets are very very old if not original. Overall it a bit outdated. But the staff is nice. The small bar, though disorganized is as ok. Had the shrimp cocktail and it was great. Free coffee in the lobby was nice. We asked for lemons and the staff went above and beyond. In spite of the quirks it still deserves 5 stars.

6

Quiet and clean, but disappointed: I called to reserve the room just 2 days prior to our stay. Confirmed on the phone that we had a suite room that had a separate bedroom (crucial for our family with a toddler and small baby who goes to bed early), and that the hotel had an indoor pool. Was disappointed to find the pool was undergoing renovations (which I feel like they must have known about when I called to book just 2 days prior), and our 1 bedroom suite didn't have a bedroom, just a separate 'living room' area that was not separated by a full wall/door (which I also specifically requested when I booked). We had cancelled reservations with another hotel when we discovered this one offered the suite set up that we wanted-except when we got there, it wasn't the set up we were told on the phone. For not having 2 of the main things we wanted, I was disappointed with the stay. Other than that, the hotel was clean and quiet at night, and staff was friendly.

Overall good hotel and I would stay there again. Clean hotel, felt it was safe, professional staff, friendly and courteous. I would like the hotel to increase the size of the TV in the suite. The TV is entirely too small.

Approaching the hotel off the highway can be tricky. They should have a sign that says second light to the hotel. The first light puts you back on I-95 North. Then when you finally get to the hotel, you have to circle around the back of the hotel to get to the front. It's a whole bunch of driving to get to the hotel after a long road trip it is a bit frustrating. Then we found out that breakfast is no longer complimentary even if you are a Hilton Honors member. You now have choose the bed and breakfast package when picking your room for an extra fee. Who knew? Although this hotel is a pet friendly hotel and that's awesome for all the pet owners, but I slept next to people who's dog started barking at 3:30 am in the morning and continued until 6:00 am or so. When I finally decided to get up for breakfast there was an overwhelming pleasant but suffocating smell out in the hallway. I found from housekeeping that a dog relieved itself from in front of my door until about 5 doors down. Housekeeping had to deep vacuum the hallway rugs. Not cool. Lastly, one of our relatives arrived at the hotel early in the morning. They were guaranteed late check in but the hotel up their rate. Thank goodness my relative had all of her documents with the original quoted prices or they would've had to pay a higher price. I think this is a terrible practice that this hotel is doing. Hilton knows people are tired and Hilton knows that people will just pay the higher price if they don't have the backup document to prove customer service wrong. This is horrible to treat tired motorist this way.

I am a very picky person espc when i spend my hard earned money. My room and bathroom were spotless. Ac was spot on cold too.
Staff was all friendly. Amenities are open 24 hrs, which is the way it should be. I'm a bigger guy ( not fat lol) and the shower curtain is curved out making the shower more comfortable. This room is 30% larger than a typical hotel room..definitely will stay here again.
Lauren checked me in and i was greeted like family....thank you

Hotel was great. But I was not happy when my bill was higher than the confirmation I was sent in e mail. I spoke to the clerk at the desk and she was no help. I was given the regional manger's number to call. I left a message a week and a half ago and they didn't even care enough to get back to me. It's false advertising when you are told 1 price and
get charged another à shame, because the area was great stop over .
Not sure I will go back again.
Once you get burned you don't go back.

I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Roanoke Rapids for two nights while in town on a work trip. The hotel is fairly new construction and therefore very clean/up-to-date. The room was spacious and nice, and it had plenty of electrical plugs, which many older hotels lack (a pet peeve of mine). The staff was professional. Some were friendly, others less so. I asked one lady behind the desk where I could get a haircut and she said she didn't know of anywhere I could go. No offer to help by asking around or looking it up, etc. But overall the staff was kind, if not overly helpful. I will definitely stay here again.

Honestly one of my favorite hotels that I have ever stayed in! We had a suite for a night and brought our english bulldog along. Everything was immaculate and the staff even gave my children some cookies. The indoor hot tub and swimming pool was probably the best part. The next morning, my vehicle died. The staff loaned me a set of jumper cables to get her going again. LOVED my stay here.

Facility was well-maintained, but could benefit from another sign or two to save people from circling the building when it's dark. Junior suite was well-appointed. The Keurig in my room was a nice touch but the coffee provided tasted like those awful mesh bags of grinds more commonly found at motels, but in convenient pod form. 24 hour pool access was much appreciated.

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. Perfect!! Very clean, friendly staff, and loved the fact pool & fitness center was open 24hrs. Can't get beat the 12pm check out time either! Everyone was very friendly and the rooms were clean. My kids loved the pool. Overall its a nice hotel. I think its a little expensive for what you're getting though. I was very disappointed to find they do not have a complimentary breakfast, I thought every hotel provided that. There is a restaurant on site but its $9.95 a person for the breakfast buffet. We probably would find a different hotel next time

The hotel accomadations are great. Large, comfortable rooms. One of the main reasons we stay here is the bar and restaurant. After driving all day we prefer not to leave the hotel. On the evening of April 15 we sat in the restaurant and could see that there was not enough help and the very nice waiter was a little stressed. We went to the bar instead and decided we'd just eat there. We have seldom encountered a more sullen or terrible employee. He clearly did not want us to sir there or to take our order. The only people to whom he was civil were two young women at a high top table, and he talked to them and tried to ignore everyone else. He told us he was out of Michelob Ultra and asked in a snide manner if we wanted the warm one displayed on a shelf. Finally we were so irritated we went back to the dining room and decided to wait however long it would take because at least that young man was trying his best in a bad situation.
