Typical Holiday Inn Express, which is a good thing. Very clean, seems newer than most (I stay all the time). Cleanliness is the most important. One down side, the night time front desk girl was vaping inside the hotel with a friend. Very tacky. Other than that, great stay.

Very nice and extremely accommodating. Beverly was wonderful to work with! She was so helpful especially since there were only 2 rooms left and we hadn't planned anything ahead of time. Spacious rooms and the hotel has a good breakfast. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Only downside is the rooms are dark and feel small even though they are large.

When we got there the room was very clean as well as the rest of the hotel. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. This was the only included breakfast I've eaten that tasted like real food! Different egg and meat choices, cereal, muffins, pancakes, and juice. We took advantage of this every morning! Iwould give 5 stars, but the daily cleaning service was a little hit and miss during our week stay.

It’s a great hotel, right off of Interstate 10. The staff is super nice, welcoming, and attentive. The rooms are clean, bright, and great. The parking lot is well lit. It has a pool. There’s also a free breakfast with is great. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean.

It’s about 45 minutes to an hour away from Destin. So if you want to save money stay here and drive to the beaches.

This would have been five stars if not for the thin wall of this hotel. Let's start with the good. The hotel employees were all extremely friendly and welcoming. They were very helpful! The hotel is nice and very clean which I appreciate greatly. The breakfast was nice. If not for the fact that you can hear everyone else around you while in your room it would have been a five star stay. You can hear people talking, laughing, a baby crying, in rooms near your own.

Clean rooms and friendly staff. Very accommodating .The breakfast was excellent and had healthy options for hotel food. There coffee is fantastic and is kept fresh all day.The staff is always eager to help and go beyond what is expected to help.

Stayed one night on our way through and we will definitely make this one of our standard stops! The hotel is new with clean, modern rooms and common areas. The rates were comparable to other mid-price hotels. The rooms are set on a long hallway which may increase the overall noise that some mentioned but I didn't think it was any louder than other hotels. We were traveling with a dog and the walk area was very nice. The continental breakfast was also a stand-out!! The cinnamon rolls are delicious!

We spent the night there with our kids. Receptionists were very kind and helpful at night and morning. Generally clean and comfortable, but I could hear guests talking and using the hair dryer in the room next to us through the walls, which means a lack of privacy.
Breakfast was pleasant, we even took some for the road and Mona gave us such a great service; just a detail I disliked, apples and blueberry muffins weren't fresh, both tasted like old food and apple's skin soft and sour.
Besides that I could recommend it for a good rest and safety was not an issue at all. I think the issues aren't the employee's responsibility, but management should take a look at those. Thank you anyway for your hospitality.

A pleasant, quiet little Express, offering a clean, connected stay-over, well kept bathrooms, breakfast and safe parking, all of which has handicap access.

Quiet and tgat makes for a good night sleep. There is a fitness center with dumbbells which is more than most hotels. The breakfast is excellent especially the cinnamon rolls.

We booked rooms here for a family funeral. The staff was incredibly accommodating, and happily shuffled rooms around so that all family members could be on the same floor. They went above and beyond to take care of our needs, and made us feel at home. The facility itself was very clean and nice, and the included breakfast was one of the best I have ever enjoyed for a "free" breakfast incentive. All in all, I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling in the area, and look forward to staying there again under happier circumstances.

For an interstate hotel, it has a modern decor which can best be described as spartan. The walls are thin and we had to ask to move due to a noisy neighbor. Lobby staff was nice and understanding. Not a good value for the price.

Driving a 26' Penske pulling a car. Had room to park. Hotel nice and clean. Staff nice and helpful. Room was very clean, no odors and spacious. Beds Very comfortable. Breakfast was really good. Highly recommend.

Consistent service, nice and clean

Clean room, the entire hotel looks like it has been updated. The bed was extremely comfortable. The windows had the new shades that completely block out everything when closed. Staff was courteous, fast and efficient. Breakfast was a normal HI continental breakfast. The coffee however was the great, every HI I've stayed at in the last 6 months needs to take note of the coffee at this HI.

Very nice stay here on the way to Tallahassee. The facility was clean and the staff was friendly. This was my first time at a Holiday Inn Express, and I stayed in a single king room. I'll likely continue using this brand of hotel.

Very clean and secure. The shower curtain didn't fit into the tub just right and that's the only complaint I have. Good modern amenities.

My family and I enjoyed our holiday weekend very much. We can't say enough about the friendly staff. The room was excellent, and the breakfast was something to look forward to each day - the best continental breakfast we can remember.

Stayed for the first time on our way to visit family in Tampa. We usually stop at Holiday Inn Express in Crestview. Defuniak Springs is really worth the extra time it takes to get there. We are ALWAYS pleased with our stay at HIE, but this was the best yet!!'
