It's a very comfortable hotel in a great location with some epic views. Yeah it's a little old and you can get lost in the lower levels, but it's very clean, family friendly and the service is brilliant. The Japanese garden alone is well worth just a visit!
There some big fish in their pools.

This hotel is amazing!! The best place I ever stayed at. I love the bathrooms and the heated toilets. The nature walk is beautiful.

Impeccable service from outstanding staff. Makes European and American hotels feel mediocre. Good room and plenty of eating options.

The hotel grounds are lovely, but the room was average quality and the food very expensive. They tried to put us in an outdated room at the top of the tower at first, but we requested to switch to a different updated room and it was much better quality furniture. It was noisy though, many of the other hotel guests seemed loud around us (either that, or soundproofing was non existent?)

One of the best in Tokyo and more. Variety of room choices, restaurants and facilities. Excellent location and environment. Choices of very convenient transportation, airport bus from an to the hotel entrance. Amazing garden. Free club membership with additional benefits

Huge hotel with many restaurants. Ideal for large groups of visitors. Walking distance to metro station. Staued at garden tower, rooms are big and clean but slightly old fashioned. Customer servide is good.

We stayed for three nights at New Otani and were in awe of the service, hardware or simply anything you look for in a hotel. Very pleasant stay. The hotel is considered big in Tokyo standard - it comes with two towers (Main tower and Garden tower) and a Japanese garden attached. Airport limousine bus can directly drop off at the hotel which saved us trouble commuting with luggages. Breakfast is delicious with a great variety of fruits, drinks and food. That said, it would be better if there is a convenient store around. Would definitely revisit again.

Lovely hotel, very traditional high class Japanese hotel yet service is top notch. The bar has great selection of alcohol but they are all at least 3 times more expensive than market price, even more than Ginza. So, be careful what you order. Service is however excellent.

A splendid hotel with fantastic service. Our garden tower room was huge and helped to give us a very peaceful final day before our flight back to Tokyo.

Mihuko was particularly nice and helped welcome us when we checked in.

The pool area is excellent and well worth getting the New Otani card in advance if you are an overseas visitor (that way you get free entrance to the pool.).

Ladies and gentlemen!
My stay went well. but my stay at the hotel was very unpleasant and long. I ordered a room with one large bed, because I traveled with my companion. And I was given a room with two separate beds. And I had to sit for an hour at the reception waiting for the solution of this simple question. I was very tired after a long flight. And my companion, too. We were not even offered a brewing drink and refused to change the number categorically. Although on the site of a booking coma, for example there were on our arrival dates rooms with one large bed. I was unpleasantly surprised by this incomprehensible obstinacy of the hotel staff.

Nice hotel and best location. There are two subway stations very close by.
We stayed in the Garden tower and the views were amazing.
We tried the three different breakfast restaurants and we enjoyed all.
The traditional Japanese breakfast was delicious.
Probably the one that disappointed me was the one that it is supposed to be more expensive and offer nice cakes.
Actually in the buffet there was no cakes. Only some small bakery but nothing espectacular.
However the oden noddles were amazing and they prepare it in front of you.
If I went to Tokyo again I would probably choose this hotel again.

When in Tokyo, I typically stay in American-branded hotels but due to spring Cherry Blossom events, all were booked up so the Hotel New Otani was our next option at a reasonable $260/night. The Non-Smoking (THANKFULLY!) room was quite sizable for Tokyo standards, the comfortable firm bed and temperature controls led to restful sleep.

The breakfast buffet in the Garden Restaurant was excellent despite the long lines of tourists clamoring to also get in, and I highly recommend a daily walk through the exquisite gardens. The many other onsite restaurants offer a variety of cuisines for breafast, lunch, and dinner, but at a premium price; we chose to take a short walk through the rear entrance where just 2 blocks away are over a hundred small but very affordable dining options.

Overall a very pleasant experience enabled by the very friendly staff, I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at the Hotel New Otani Tokyo for 4 nights and were pleased with our rooms; they were large by Tokyo standards. The hotel is enormous so if you prefer a smaller, more intimate hotel then this one is not for you. The location, however, was perfect. Further, the concierge desk was extremely helpful in making reservations for dinner as we were dealing with a food allergy and do not speak Japanese. Overall, we would stay at the New Otani again.

Everything is nice, but there is something to improve. Most hotel has usb plug, as smart phone is widely use now. It would be good to have that in room. And the bedside table should have a plug for phone charging :) other than that is perfect!

Lovely hotel, very nicely appointed room, very good views from the garden restaurant and at breakfast overlooking the city. The staff is lovely, and speaks English very well. Everyone was very polite and helpful. The location is excellent and made it very easy for getting around on the subway. We truly enjoyed our first stay in Tokyo, and hope to return again soon!

All was great and perfect. Only missed the opportunity to have a simpler glass of wine or beer in the evening costing less than ca +2000yen. (perhaps there was but we did not find)

Although not my first stay at the Hotel New Otani it was my first time in a Shin-Edo room. The ambience and decor of the room was lovely and I will definitely stay in one again.

Elegant hotel with great staff and a nice restaurant with a perfect garden view. Take a walk in the garden after the breakfast (breakfast in the restaurant is strongly recommended). There is quite a variety of
popular restaurants and clubs in the neighbourhood (walkable distance from the hotel). You can take the Airport Limousine (bus) from Narita Airport to go to the hotel and back to airport. Metro station is also very close. There is a quite big electronics shop nearby (BIC).

During my stay last month at the Garden Tower, I lost my bracelet and apple accessories. Your housekeeping answered my email prompty. Many thanks to your Lost and Found dept for the tracing and safekeeping of the bracelet esp when it was lost in the public area. Many thanks to your room division (housekeeping) for searching the lost items and subsequently arrangment of the picking-up. Once again, thank you for the great service!!

Excellently located hotel, very easy to get around Tokyo from the metro station which is a 2 minute walk away. Staff were all exceptionally helpful too! If I had to pick a fault, I'd say I've found better gym facilities in similarly priced hotels. Just a couple of treadmills and a mat.

Stunning 5 star hotel with a gorgeous Japanese Garden dating back over 400 years. I highly recommend having lunch overlooking the garden, followed by a walk through the koi ponds, and night time drinks in the Sky Bar overlooking the city. The service at the hotel is top notch everywhere you go and the room amenities include Shiseido products. Overall it was a memorable stay and I truly hope to return again someday!

The hotel is very nice and some of the rooms have good views. It's not the most centrally located but that all depends on what you're after. The breakfast buffet is very good and rooms very clean. It also has a Japanese garden in the middle.

The hotel was very clean, the staff were extremely helpful. I ended up in the wrong side of the hotel and staff personally guides me to the correct place. Room was beat and tidy. Room service was prompt and delicious. The hotel was perfectly located and easy to get to. I had a great experience.

Had to stay in a smoking room due to availability issues, just a tinge of smell. The view of Tokyo Tower from our room kinda made up for it. Overall, staff were helpful and the garden was beautiful! Location - train station, convenience stores and food were all in walking distance.

A very old hotel "resort". The hotel uses the top materials in the renovation at that time. The room size is relative large, however the lay out is not not convenient for accessing such as storage and washroom. The vent is old. The smell from the next room can be smelt. The service is very well on the top.

We just completed a week long stay at the garden tower and it was wonderful. The hotel gives a true taste of Japanese culture and service. The zen garden is amazing and location can't be better. The garden tower is the older part of the hotel, the prices are lower, but I found it nevertheless with real character and would definitely stay in it again. If you have time make sure to have breakfast at the 40th floor and rent the hotel bike.
