Room and amenities were great. My bed was medium firm with 4 medium/large pillows. Good linens that didn't feel scratchy. Lots of towels that were fairly plush for a hotel. Good water pressure and hot water. A/C worked well and stayed on all night as I wanted, I can't sleep in silence.
There were several USB plugs at the bed which was nice.
What will bring me back was the staff. They were so nice and personable. I enjoyed talking with them and helped pass the time at the bar. They were just awesome.
Breakfast was delicious with a good variety. I enjoyed it wasn't typical items but they had some extra ingredients like quinoa and seasonings.

The building is beautiful! Modern looking without being cold. It is a very welconing atmosphere, despite being slightly off of the main road.

In town for a wedding. The hotel is very clean and the staff is extremely polite/helpful. Our room was spacious and very comfortable.

The hotel is 10 years old and it shows. The carpet is stained and it's ripped by the elevator on the 3rd floor. The rooms are in need of an update. The beds are comfortable. Breakfast was exactly as expected and well stocked. Friendly staff.

The location was easy to find with decent parking around the building. The room seemed clean enough, but some of the fixtures and hardware were worn out. I had trouble with my room key opening the door on two occasions on one overnight stay. Staff was friendly, and seemed to handle a packed hotel for a convention going on pretty well.

Nice hotel. Clean, well appointed rooms. I happened to be there during an intramural baseball something or another. There was clearly a lot more going on than anyone could have anticipated. However, the staff managed to stay on top of everything. They were consistently friendly and professional.

Clean rooms, restaurant 24 hour menu plus area pizza restaurants deliver to the hotel. Pool is small, but kids had fun. Nice fitness center. Delicious breakfast with dairy free option like almond milk.

Went for a nephews wedding, Good clean rooms and excellent service all the way, breakfast included with our room. The little snack bar/ coffee bar needs to have the menu updated, improved. Overall great experience.

Loved the style of the rooms, very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Also the front desk staff, especially night shift was very nice and caring. When one night my small children and I had issues sleeping due to a very loud party above us, the lady was very kind and right away went up to deal with the loud noise, unfortunately those guests kept abusing it because they wait a while and start up again so she had to make several trips to them. Had a great deal on the room fair as well. Breakfast was good too on the days they had more options for non pork eaters.

Room was large, modern, and clean. Free breakfast was good and there was plenty of seating. Good location with lots of stores and restaurants around. We went during a busy time (there were a lot of people there for a youth hockey tournament) so we had to sign a form basically saying we had to keep the noise level down during certain hours. Not sure if that was actually enforced, since we weren't near the lobby or most of the people there for the tournament.

Overall this hotel was clean. Although I would suggest to management to do some detail cleaning and updates. The walls in the room need to be wiped down. A lot of the carpet in the hall areas are worn and ripped, need to be replaced. The rooms are spacious. The pool is just ok, nothing spectacular. I would have given 3 1/2 stars but that wasn't an option.

Nice, clean and mostly quiet. Front desk staff VERY helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent and kitchen staff did a great job. Looking forward to next Hyatt Place visit to see if it compares.

I stayed at the Hyatt Place South Bend/Mishawaka for two nights while in town for a conference. The hotel is well located, with several chain restaurants of varying price level within a five minute drive. The hotel itself has a modern styling that is fresh. Rooms are well-appointed, with standard rooms having a sitting area in addition to the beds. The bathroom has a large rainforest-style shower with great water pressure. A typical complimentary breakfast is served each morning that is typical for this hotel class (sausage, scrambled eggs, donuts, cereal, etc.). The hotel has a small mini-market where coffee, snacks, and alcoholic beverages are available for purchase. All of the staff I talked to were polite and professional. I was quite happy with my stay and felt like I got a lot more than I paid for. I would highly recommend the Hyatt Place to anyone looking for lodging in the area.

Nice room, great breakfast with options for any diet. Nearby restaurants are available, but not great selections. Staff are helpful and friendly. Good choice for one night before a work meeting. Location is about a half hour drive from the airport, taxis, Uber and Lyft are all available for transport.

Great place! Nice big rooms and great bathrooms! I just wish they had complimentary coffee in the afternoon.

Fantastic. Nice decor, very clean, decent breakfast, and very friendly staff who went over and above to make our stay enjoyable. After learning that we were in town for a funeral, they sent a nice note of condolence to our room with coupons for their Starbucks bar & free amenities. Quiet room (despite that there were 3 boisterous hockey teams staying the same night...we didn't hear a thing in the room), and very comfortable beds. One of the best hotel experiences we've had, and paid far better rates than we have for inferior experiences at other 3-star hotels. Highly recommend!

This hotel is updated but when I complained about the very noisy heater...the person said thanks I will let maintenance know. That was the extent of the response. I think it was far short of what I expected from a hotel like Hyatt. The hot breakfast is a plus.

I've stayed here several times in the past couple years, and always try to book here when in the area. The hotel is centrally-located, and there are about a thousand restaurants in a five mile radius. Okay, not a thousand, but quite a few. The staff is friendly and competent. The facility is modern, all rooms are mini-suites. The only thing about the rooms I don't love is the tiny area which houses the shower stall and toilet. It's a little tight in there... Excellent breakfast, too.

The best hotel ever! Really kind and nice employees. Everyone. The rooms are cleaned in a timely manner, and coffee/bar/food area was incredible and they are open 24 hours. Especially thank you Rachel!!!! She actually helped me go through my bags/room/ rental car to find my missing car keys. Also, it's in a very convenient area.

It's a standard Hyatt Place and has not been updated yet to the new style. Still clean and quiet. Restaurants and shopping near by.

Its a nice hotel. Sink was clogged. My son went swimming and then got sick. One of the guest was sick and they went swimming and Gog everyone else sick.. Hotels should address styles of pool when checking in. Don't swim if you been sick!!

Absolutely phenomenal. The beds were soft, featuring a selection of pillows. I actually slept through the night, forgetting that I was even in a hotel until I woke. Breakfast was excellent, with a choice of scrambled or hard boiled eggs, sausage, fresh fruit, cereal, and hot oatmeal. The exercise room was well stocked, and the pool nice, if smallish. I look forward to staying here again.

I love the Hyatt layout from the entrance, to the rooms. Great for working or just chilling. The automatic doors are usually quite noisy though, they should switch to Nabco Whisperslides.

Excellent Hotel! This place is beautiful. Larissa was our server and I have to say she is amazing. Our room was 2 beds and a pullout couch and it has a Star Bucks in the lobby. Highly recommended!

We stayed here for a family wedding this past weekend and couldn't be more pleased with the accommodations. The rooms were very comfortable but the best thing about this hotel is their staff. Every employee we encountered was friendly, helpful and really helped make our stay very pleasant! Thanks and keep up the good work!

Rooms are clean and spacious. Microwave provided in Lobby and fridge in the room. Friendly staff and nice snack and breakfast selection.

Big, beautiful room with a large, good bed. The breakfast is much better than when I stayed here 15 years ago! And another good thing: You could rent a bike. The ND campus is like a big park where it is nice to bike.

Not much to tell. Meet once a month for a work related meeting. Conference room is always clean and ready to go. Support staff isn't very attentive to keeping the room supplied with coffee.

The staff were very helpful a day professional. We checked in without any difficulty and when we found we had 2 queen beds they moved us to a king suite easily. The rooms were clean as I am a snob when it comes to that. Had even checked with the bedbug registry prior to making reservations. This hotel was a delight and hope to visit again in the future.

Hot breakfast items were lacking. Coffee was hot but bitter. Pancakes were cold.

The room was nice and large, all the amenities. Breakfast was passable and there's a hooters a hundred yards away. Cheap enough to not feel slighted. All in all I'd say it was worth it.

Stayed the night before running the Sunburst Marathon. The room was clean, well kept, and pleasant. The staff were friendly and helpful to a marathon runners exotic needs.

We typically get a budget of $80-$100 a night for our hotel stays while on trips so you can imagine what kind of places that allows us to stay. Comfort Inns, Best Westerns, etc - Not bad places. Clean but basic. This place we got for $100/night - no special deal, just the basic two bed room. I was blown away by the quality.
Room was quite large, beds were very comfortable, had a sitting area with a couch and table. The only down side - the TV was in a weird place, but that was it!
The staff was very friendly and they had a wonderful breakfast that was included. I would absolutely stay at this location if you're in the area!
