Great hotel! Wonderful views of the city. Friendly staff. Our bathroom was amazing and offered a panoramic view of Columbus. Amazing. Bed was very comfortable. Clean as could be. I definitely recommend staying here!

Everything was adequate. Good stay overall. Good bar, good room service. Just a few words of warning: the hotel is located above a few railroad tracks. Nightly cargo train screech down the line, echoing deep in the bellows of towering concrete structures beneath the hotel.

I called directly to reserve my room, because I need a suite with conference space to work in, as well as sleeping arrangements with to double beds. They assured me they could accommodate that when I booked the room. I showed up to check-in and discovered they could not. They ended up putting us in the conference room portion of a suite on one floor, and then in a single room with two double beds on another floor. Offered to comp us breakfast as a consolation. The breakfast was not good. Then they charged us for it, and also for a bottle of water that we didn't drink (brought our own). I called and they removed those charges from the bill, but seriously. Get it together. The bed was comfortable enough, and while rooms are older they've been toasted recently, but for the price I wouldn't go there again. The Hilton across the street is much nicer.

A group of my friends come here for Matsuricon. The stay overnight has been good for the prices. The food in the food court feels like it is getting higher in price, but it still affordable. Really the only downside for this type of event are the elevators. They are not big enough to hold many people trying to traverse the 20 floor hotel.

Great hotel. Very friendly staff. The rooms are clean and updated. One of the best mattresses I have had in a hotel. Close to the downtown life. The breakfast buffet is phenomenal. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Good, central location. Lots of good restaurants nearby. Bathroom was a bit cramped, one trash can hadn't been cleaned out, and there was a bright green light on the wall that shined all night but that's me being picky. Overall, very nice hotel. Bar on 2 was great place for drinks.

When I checked in I ask for an envelope that was left for me at the front desk. The receptionist said there was nothing for me. I called the person who left it and they verified it was there I asked again and talked to someone else and they found it. I travel a lot and this should be a simple standard thing. The hotel is clean and very nice. The view is great. I'm in an L shaped room and the room is big but the bathroom is small. No real complaints they just should have found me envelope the first time I asked.

We picked the Hyatt Regency as we were attending a convention in the area. We arrived around 8am and they were able to check us in early, which was a relief after a long day of traveling. The two bed room was big enough to accommodate 3 people. The beds were comfortable and I slept well. Please note that that mattress were firm, so if you are use to a soft mattress, these are more firm than soft. The Hyatt is attached to the convention center which makes the process of going to and from really easy. Overall, if you are traveling for business and attending a conference/convention, I would highly recommend staying here.

I'm here a couple times a year for various conventions. The rooms are good generally speaking, the front desk crews are some of the best I've seen, and it's far and away the most convenient hotel for local events. The elevators can be problematic while the events are going on, and the gccc hosts events almost all the time (understandable). You'll always be meeting interesting folks

I participated in a conference with over 1000 participants. Breakfast, lunch and snacks were provided at comfortable intervals that were tasty and nutritious. Conference rooms were well kept and bathrooms were clean and well marked. Technical support for speakers and presenters seemed quite good; presentations came off with only a few very small interruptions. The hallways are ample allowing for sponsors to set up without interfering with participant movement. Parking is a bit difficult and can be expensive if you don't know the area. And there is no place to put your possessions if you are not staying at the motel. But I must say my experience was altogether pleasant and staff were cordial and helpful as a rule.

I honestly expected a bit more out of a Hyatt property. While the bulk of the property appears to be well taken care of, the rooms need a serious overhaul. The staff at the front desk was nice.

Our room, #1835, smelled of old cigarettes and overall was kind of musty. The bathroom was where I was more disappointed. Dirty ceiling tiles, dirt in the tray our hand towels were on, dirt around the toilet paper dispenser, and the bottom of the tub was dirty. Thankfully we only stayed one night as we opted to wait until we were home to shower. It was pretty disappointing.

No parking validation if you park in the attached Convention Centre, so expect $23/day if you park there.

Great experience, clean room and facilities. My room had an awesome view.

Only downside is parking for arrival and departure. There's valet but not much space to pull in and get the valet and unloading the car process started (or bell hop).

a newer hotel that is connect to the convention center. The room are very nice. good lighting and very nice showers.

They do have a breakfast bar. it is not included. The hotel will valet your car to the local garage. The pool is on the smaller size but not an issue unless something is going on at the convention center. They also have a gym too.

Amazing, modern hotel with all the bells & whistles, plus it's attached to the convention center. Staff are incredibly helpful from start to finish, from front desk to bellhops. The lobby restaurant has a great selection and I enjoyed the breakfast buffet, though a little pricey at $17.95. The Big Bar on 2 is a great place to relax and network. The guest rooms are spacious and well appointed.

Room was a tad bit dated; oddly shaped?

I had a room right at the very end of the hallway on the 9th floor and the shape/layout of the room really threw me off. Not sure if because my room was at the very end of the hall, so I had that odd corner/triangle that you see in pictures...but maybe I'm old fashioned and am just used to a typical square/rectangle room.

The restaurant options within the hotel leave much to be desired...the dishes offered/aesthetics made me and my colleague explore restaurants outside. The decor of the hotel itself seemed to be a bit dated, but I never judge a hotel by that.

My linen were fresh and the bed was comfortable; some people said their bathrooms were dated and could be improved and while I agree to a degree, I liked my bathroom.

Recommended for those who want quality and not too far from lots of attractions. Walking distance to Nationwide Arena if you're in town for a Blue Jackets game.

Nice hotel. Stayed for a conference and it was very convenient. They did charge for early check in and late check out, though, which was kind of a bummer. They also have a nice lactation space for mom's, which is great.

Nice hotel if you need to stay near the convention center. I've been staying here at least once per year for almost 20 years and have never had any issues that were directly the hotel's fault. Rooms are nice and clean, big enough for me.

I'm not one to usually leave reviews, but I hope that this will help at least a few people in their search for somewhere to stay in Columbus. I'm staying here with my husband who is here for a work convention. They were out of King rooms, so we were given a double with a view. I actually gasped when I walked in and saw that the 'double' beds were FULL sized. I don't know of any hotel I've stayed in for past twenty years that opted out of queen beds for fulls- I think it's actually laughable that Hyatt expects an adult couple to be comfortable sharing a full-sized bed.

The room itself 'passes', but definitely shows its age with noticeable wear and tear. The ceilings are outdated, and the bathroom doesn't give me a sense of clean at all. There are numerous marks, spots, and dings on the wallpaper on the wall that just shows the space isn't taken care of like it should be. There was a dirty washcloth still in our shower when we checked in, so I can only hope housekeeping cleaned properly before our check-in. A couple of our towels felt slightly damp as if they hadn't been dried sufficiently or were affected by humidity.

There is a constant ringing noise coming from somewhere outside the hallways or either through the vents that we can't identify. It's slight, but still noticeable if we don't have the television or music on.

All-in-all, nothing about this hotel is terrible enough to make me leave, but if in Columbus again this definitely won't be my first choice. I would opt for a more updated, refined, well-kept stay.

Excellent service for our convention weekend.
Staff was very helpful. Clean, very clean hotel. I was upgraded to one of the top floor triangular rooms with a lovely view of Columbus.
I hope we're here next year!

It's good but for the money you'd hope for a bit more refinement. There was dings and scuffs all over the walls of our room and peeling paint in the bathroom. The beds are comfortable and the staff was very helpful/nice. Overall clean.

The desk staff was super friendly. We asked for suggestions for dinner and drinks within walking distance and received excellent options. The accommodations were great. Bed was comfy. Left meds in the car and valet was quick to meet us so we could retrieve them. In room safe. Received complimentary shaving cream and razor when requested at the desk. Will stay here again.

Hyatt Regency Columbus is located close to the convention center I was attending. It was convienently connected in such a way I didn't even have to go outside. Service was very nice and considerate. They tried to be very helpful. Unfortunately the rooms weren't spotless like I was expecting. The hotel had many good amenities, but provided no continental breakfast which was a little disappointing.

Interesting layout to this room at the end of the hall. There were lots of Windows with very dusty curtains that needed to be moved in order to close the shades. I had the feeling like the room hadn't been used in a while. On the plus side the bed was huge and comfortable.

Went there for a workshop/seminar. The signs were directing us the wrong way and a young lady named Aaliyah E got us back in the right direction. Later ran into her again near the Post Office there in the hotel attended by Denise, another friendly and helpful employee.

The areas such as the Atrium was extremely clean and the bathroom was being cleaned by the attendant as I was leaving. Although a lot of Columbus was shut down due to the snow storm. The Hyatt had a lot of activities going on in a lot of their rooms.

Very respectful staff and the location was great. We were in town for a hockey game on NYE and even though the hotel was very busy, the staff made sure you received individual attention to any needs promptly. My stay here was a great experience. The service was great and the staff was very nice and wonderful. I really enjoyed my stay here. Thank you Hyatt Regency of Columbus Ohio. I will be back! Older property but nice enough. Not on par with other Hyatt properties. Friendly staff. Hair in the corner of the bathroom. Very strange that the wait staff in the cafe restaurant were wearing blue shirts with jeans. When the first two staff members came up to our table, I honestly thought they were from the engineering dept. I really think they should change the color of the uniforms of the wait staff.

I attended a professional event there in the afternoon and was pleasantly surprised by the size and decor of the place. It is a great place to have a conference and from what I can tell a great place to stay. It is perfectly situated to see the downtown and short north areas.

7

I travel quite a bit for business, so that makes a difference. The hotel was fairly typical. It was extremely convenient for the convention we were attending, the rooms above average. There is no parking, so you end up paying for valet service if you have a car there. The breakfast is overpriced ($20 for breakfast buffet) with Starbucks the only other close option. So, nothing bad - I'm not complaining. I would stay there again.

Stayed here for a conference last month. Phenomenal customer service - my bag was lost on my flight and the front desk staff did everything possible to make my stay more enjoyable. They provided me with all the necessities they could, as I did not have anything I needed in my carry-on. As soon as my bag arrived the following day, I received a phone call and was able to immediately pick up my bag at the front desk. This hotel is also in a great location - there are tons of places to eat and see nearby. Great views from my hotel room as well. Highly recommend this establishment!

**The conference center is accessible directly from the hotel.

Very clean and comfortable room. Employees were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Big bar on 2 is a great place to grab a drink and watch the game. I've stayed several times and never been disappointed. Only complaint, if you can consider it one, is the shower head was mounted very low. I'm just over 6' and it was at my chin making it difficult to wash my hair.

Hyatt Regency is decent, but not somewhere I'd recommend. The ball rooms are very dated, and the entire place had a terrible musty smell like mold. The air, possibly from the same cause, made my eyes irritated and was generally just uncomfortable. A friend I was with stayed there two years ago and said it was exactly the same way then, which is why he had recommended we get rooms elsewhere. It's convenient how it flows right into the convention center, but the Hilton that is also attached is a better choice to me in every regard.

Location is great if you're going to the convention center, as they are connected. Haven't actually used their main lobby entrance yet as I've been going straight to the center every day. Check in was very fast despite a large crowd, they were very prepared. Room itself was small, but for me felt just right. No excessive second room, but also could move around just fine with two people. Bed was great. Only downside was a slight humid mildewy smell from the AC, probably needs a filter change or at least a cleanup soon. Otherwise, I'm a fan.

Hotel employees were very nice and respectful and answered all my questions. I had to check in at 3pm which was hard and I would have appreciated a earlier check in at no extra cost. The room was small but well equipped. The bed was adequate but the pillows smelled funny and sheets had stains. In the middle.of the night the neighbors to my room were loud and I heard dogs barking. I called front desk and issues was handled

Location is great for the columbus convention center. There is currently construction but it is still directly connected to the hotel. The front desk woman - Brandigan I believe - was so accommodating and kind as we arrived several hours before check in due to expected delays of weather. She was able to get us checked in early and was very helpful. The room was a corner king up high and had great views - especially at night when you could see all the lights of the city. The bed was comfortable and clean. As always a wonderful experience.

This hotel is a great place to stay, but it is not perfect. The rooms are great, and the door for the bathroom is not the one for the closet! The rooms have many amenities that can be found and used easily, are quiet (unless some people are extremely loud), a bath with a shower, and a pulldown mattress for a 3 person room. The hotel itself has areas for meetings, like both Ohio Model United Nations, and a large lobby and food court with many good options. However, the hotel is not perfect. The elevators always take forever to get to your floor, to the point where I would ALWAYS use the fire exit to get to my floor, even with heavy, awkward luggage. Also, the restaurants at the food court often times aren't open besides 1 or 2 places, even when there was an event with a public itinerary released publicly months beforehand so those places could prepare to be open at that time if they wished to obviously make money. However, besides this, this hotel is a great place to stay at, just prepare for the worst regarding elevators and the food court.

This is a nice hotel that is very easy to get to from the airport. Updated rooms, many food options both inside and outside the hotel and close to the convention center where my event is occurring. I ordered room service which arrived in a reasonable amount of time with a nice presentation.

It's a beautiful hotel and the renovations look wonderful. Warning, they do have down bedding. Usually the staff are very accommodating and friendly. The elevators can be very slow and the stairs are loud. I'm there multiple times a year for large events and have had almost no issues to speak of.

I stayed at the Hyatt Feb 3-5 . The valet was very confusing and busy it was as if no one wanted to valet my car. I had to get out and walk up to them only to hear one guy tell the other "no I parked the last 3". That was not my problem. The line to check in was extremely long even with 8 reps working the desk. Finally when I got to check in I realized what the problem had been, each computer doesn't not have the capability to make room keys, so they have to share the machines and it makes for a long process. Tyler was very nice and we chatted for quite a bit as I said they had to wait their turn to use the room key machines. I went upstairs and was waiting on my luggage and 30 minutes went by and it hadn't been brought up. I called downstairs to find it had been setting in the lobby, apparently at the Hyatt you have to go to the bell desk to have them bring up your luggage???? I travel quite a bit for my company and I've never experienced such a hectic and unorganized check in. Our room was a little out dated, with a much needed bathroom remodel. For over $200.00 a night I a lot expected more. The room service was good.
The pool and gym were a bit odd. You had to walk through the pool to get to the gym .

The event was nice. Nice staff, room well kept. Happy to have went. More directional signage would have been helpful.

Conference Attendee. I attended the Ohio Tax Conference here and the staff was amazing! Teri a guest service host is one of the friendliest people I have ever met. They are on top of the catering and the amenities are wonderful for a large event.

I visited the Hyatt for Ohayocon 2017. The layout for the panel rooms was easy to understand and get to. Seating was ample for every event I attended. My only gripe is that the Hyatt is always under construction. Has been for years now.

I was there for Ohayocon. It was under construction so some of the better areas were closed off. Other than that, the hotel was a wonderful host, as always. This convention is one of my favorites because of the hotel and location choice.

Location is great. Plenty of restaurants near by and close to downtown Columbus. Rooms have everything you need. Great customer service. Gym was above average for a hotel.

Very nice hotel.. convenient because it's connected to the convention center. Has a great view at least for the rooms facing south/West. Pool is clean and fitness room had a lot of the basics. The atrium/main entrance area is very nicely arranged and the rooms themselves are also relatively quiet.

One of the nicest hotels in downtown Cbus; but also one of the priciest. Can't go wrong if looking for a clean, more updated hotel experience.

It's average, they made me carry my bags to get checked, the guy sitting at the door just brought me to the room and made me carry them to a corner...all 4 of them!for a "high end hotel" that was very cheap. Sky walk doesn't have a heater and you literally freeze on your 10 min walk from the parking lot. Tp in the rooms is very cheap, you're better off with a dollar store tp brand.

Nice room with a great view of the city. The breakfast buffet was delicious and affordable with excellent service. Staff are courteous and friendly. Room has a mini fridge which was unexpected.

To me it was a great venue for OLF this year. Not as much cross-convention foot traffic and confusion. After party was well staffed and well handled by staff. Need to invest in light switch covers/locking mechanisms to prevent dimming and bright lights By wall leaning patrons. 😃

Our stay was wonderful. Clean rooms, friendly staff, quick service. Only two things are preventing this stay from five star. One after night one of using the valet service our car battery was dead. The staff did work hard to get it jumped and too us. We had a jump box in the back so we let them know and they got everything taken care of. The other point isn't really anything to prevent anyone from staying. The yuengling I ordered from the big bar on two, very nice spot, was too warm and a little flat. My niece and nephews enjoyed the pool and activities area. There is also Franklin park nearby for them to burn off all that energy. I would certainly stay again.

The room was very clean and in very nice shape. Wifi was excellent everywhere I went within the facility including the gym. The gym itself was small but well equipped and the equipment was very nice. The hotel is within walking distance of many very good restaurants and stores.

The room was really nice, with a comfortable bed and a great view of the Arena district. All of the staff we had interactions with were really nice and helpful as well. I liked that they had a free WiFi and a high speed paid one, with the free one being plenty fast enough for standard browsing.

As always, Hyatt does right by me. The staff at this hotel and bar were top notch as I've come to expect from Hyatt properties. Nice views of the city, conveniently located to shopping/dining/bars.

It is a great hotel and the overall experience was great. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is the rooms could use a little updating.

Nice neat and clean with friendly staff. A bit overpriced if you were staying at their standard rates but what do you expect when you are located at a prime location like this. Those who complain about the cost of the rooms should consider staying outside of the city center where the rates are more reasonable. The reason you stay here is for the location and location means more $$. Its basic economics.

This is my main pick for staying in Columbus. Location is great! Yes you have to pay to park, just like nearly every large city, so get over it. Park at the Chestnut St parking garage and take 2 skyways and you are at the hotel, not a big deal.
I can usually find the best room rates here on weekends. Rooms are a bit small if you get a double room so if you can get a king room.
If there are events going on at the convention center ask for a higher floor to cut down on noise (I've never had an issue though), elevator waits can be long when the hotel is full or with an event, it happens, if there is a convention try and get an itinerary so you can plan your entering/leaving to avoid the large crowds.
A little planning goes a long way.
Coffee maker is of the same cheap make as even motel 6, what happened to having real coffee pots? Beds are super comfy. Walking distance to many attractions, even in the dead of winter. Bike rental just around the corner.

Little expensive. You can find other places to stay within miles of here. Though, if you're not paying and you need to attend an event at the Columbus Convention Center - this is the place to stay... or the Hilton. Either is a fine choice for early events at the GCCC.
