From my room I had a beautiful view of the mountains and the golf course. My first night there I had dinner at one of the restaurants on site. The food prices were pricey considering the portions. But I suppose you pay for the convenience of not having to leave the hotel to eat. Room was spacious and inviting. Close to the ocean. Would recommend if you are in the Monterey area.

The place is HUGE! Lobby is goregous, employees are respectful and answers any questions you have. Room had a view of the golf course⛳🏌️‍♂️ Dinner down at the bar was amazing. Has a pool table, popcorn machine. The decor is sports themed🏈🏀⚾️ The hot tub was amazing too, VERY RELAXING perfect for winding down. Very spacious swimming pool. Went for a morning workout in the gym. The treadmills have these cool interactive options of different tourist spots around the world so it seems like you're running there! Kind of like a virtual tour? They also have yoga mats, and other equipment. Water machine included. Overall, Great experience. Would come back again.

You can't go wrong waking up with a view of Hole 18, strolling out to your patio, and enjoying a delicious room service breakfast while watching golfers tee off. While this hotel isn't walkable to downtown, it's a quick 5 minute drive (or Uber ride!) from a great selection of bars, restaurants, and shops.

We are very disappointed that we chose this hotel for our week+ vacation booked in a one bedroom suite, We are a senior citizen couple and my husband is disabled. I requested an early check-in of 1:00PM and called ahead to reconfirm. Upon arrival, the room was not ready until 3:46 PM when I went to the desk for the 5th time to ask status. Upon check in, I was told I would receive a cell phone call when was ready but did not. Later I reviewed my email and to see received an email at 3:36 PM. Neither the hotel manager or the desk clerk were accommodating or emphatic to the delay. Over the course of waiting, my husband and I observed over 10 other couples checking in without waiting.
The suite we provided had two connecting rooms that we had to set up. The room did not look like the room on the website. The furniture was old and the room was clean but dingy, dark and dreary. It certainly did not look like the Hyatt suite to which we are accustomed. I requested a quiet room on the first floor. The room's sliding door opened up to the swimming pool where over 30 children played . The fluffy bathrobes advertised were not in the closet of the suite. I had to request the bathrobes and was told that was the hotel policy; the robes brought us were definitely substandard, dingy and old. We still have 8 more nights to stay and do not want to pay the one night stay cost penalty for leaving early. We are not getting our money's worth.or the best value for our dollar. The only breath of fresh air is the Chief Concierge Diane who arranged a complimentary breakfast, offered a glass a wine, and talked with the head of cleaning to expedite the cleaning of our room. I do REALLY appreciate her services! I have to say that the lunch we had at the fireside restaurant adjacent to the registration desk was GREAT!. The service and food was fantastic! The best calamari I have ever had. However, it is too bad the chef burnt the crab cakes, I know they would have been great too. You are right, I will not return here, not even for the calamari.

We stayed here during our honeymoon. Only stayed for 1 night, due to different constraints, but we enjoyed it. Checking in was simple and easy. Very easy to get to and near main roads. Friendly staff and there was a live band when I walked in. Room was tidy and clean. The buildings are noticeably older, but somewhat well kept. My only small complaints (building 25), were that our balcony sliding door would not lock. I checked in late, so did not want to cause a commotion for the front desk or request a different room. I made due to other methods to secure the room. And the king size bed (a real king size) was soft but had very little support. We both are different sizes, her petite and I am a stocky build. She found herself rolling towards me if she was too close. And our shower did not have a door to close, so it made the floor very wet. Checking out was even easier and simpler with their different methods of checking out, to choose from. We selected the drop off option. We dropped it off and went on our way with confidence that we have successfully checked out. And not too long after, we received our confirmation email of check out. Overall, pretty good stay, but with that price, I would probably consider other options and places to stay. But I would still consider staying here again.

Perfect location to the Aquarium, Cannery Row, Downtown. Loved the lounge, live music, restaurant, & tasty buffets! We went to Knuckles Lounge & loved the drinks & menu! Starbucks in the morning, fire pit by night!! Something for everyone! Updated room, lovely grounds- old school California!! Played a round of golf on the course- lovely!!

Great staff and great employees. We got into a very bad car accident on our way to the hotel starting our 3 day vacation. Once the the hotel receptionist found out about what kind of a night we have had ,he gave us a free upgrade on our room and everyone from our serves to the drivers and the manager have been so understanding, accommodating and wonderful to us to make sure we at least we enjoy the rest of our stay. The hotel is beautiful and right on the golf course and close to everything. The restaurants and the food are all great. We would definitely come back and will highly recommend this hotel.

3.5 stars for me. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are nice overall. The property is nice. The food is pricey but pretty good.
The air conditioner is a floor unit. That being said, it wasn't strong enough to keep the room cold in the morning when the sun came out. I woke up everyday as soon as the sun started coming out due to the warmth. The bar is a gathering place for locals who weren't very friendly and the bartender is an old man. Lastly, this is not a place for young couples without kids. Kids are everywhere. There's two pool areas, one should be designated adults only.

Great golfing hotel. Its clean, well maintained grounds and very attentive employees. I gave 4 stars because the walls are paper thin. I was uncomfortable hearing so clearly the talking from the next room. I couldn't wait to leave.

Many services to get it to 4 stars, but obviously a very old hotel that has been refreshed. I would not stay here again at any rate above $175, as it's just not worth it. The two bottles of water in my room were already opened and empty. When I called to request new bottles, I waited an hour and went to sleep. They never arrived. Air conditioning unit is a janky floor unit with two giant hoses feeding through the wall to the outside. Not representative of a 4 star.

This hotel is in a good location and has plenty to do. The rooms are pretty nice and there is nothing really bad I can say about this hotel except that it is huge. In order to go to one of the pools or the lobby, you may have to walk quite a bit. Otherwise, it's a great hotel with great service!

We stayed in a room near the pool. The room was nice, especially a bed that wrapped its arms around you but....portable AC unit, heard neighbors kids all night and a $62 buffet breakfast for two wasn't worth it. I'd go with 'been there done that and couldn't afford the t-shirt'.

Very convenient to the airport and freeway access. Plentiful parking. Well appointed rooms, very comfortable beds. Every room has outdoor seating, most overlooking the golf course. Great room lighting and very nice bathrooms. Everything about this facility lives up to the Hyatt brand. While the service was pleasant, they were very strict about check in/check out and our room received no maid service during our stay.

Might be 3.5 stars. Clean and quiet ( with windows shut) but some oddities. Closet and bathroom doors VERY clunky. Other guests reported same. Faces Highway 1 so lots of traffic noise if windows open. Nice fresh sea breeze if you can tune out traffic. Not really convenient walking into Monterey but easy walk to Navy Post Grad school. OK price wise. Food good but pretty high priced in restaurant.

Room was clean and spacious. Customer service was great, requests to guests services were fulfilled promptly. Fitness center was bigger than average, with more variety of equipment than one would expect at a hotel.

Very different from your typical hotel. Laid back environment on the golf course. Rooms were clean and staff was friendly. Only strange thing was the A/C unit in the room, was a standalone and caused the breaker to pop in our room when the hair dryer was being used at the same time.

Enjoyed the location and on site restaurants. Hard to see from the road so pay attention to directions. Also parking is a little hard in the evening on busy nights so be prepared to walk and haul your stuff. Once settled though, it's really nice. The rooms gazing the golf course have great views.

The beautiful grounds are well maintained and even though it is a golf course you don't always get that vibe on the Hyatt campus. Exotic flowers bloom, greenery abounds, and the rooms are spacious. The cafe near the check in offers good food, an assortment of wines, and excellent staff.

8

Great location if you plan on visiting Pebble Beach and Carmel By The Sea. Don't let the exterior fool you, the inside of the room is really great - up to date, clean, and cozy. The staff was kind, and even let me borrow a wine key to open a bottle. The only reason for four stars is depending on the building you're in it can be noisy because of the proximity of the highway. We were on the top floor in a room that faced the road, so it's to be expected, but I write this because if you'll be bothered by it, make sure you get a room in the back of the complex.

Solid hotel. Quiet and well maintained. Bar could have an improved wine list though for such a high end establishment - especially as fine dining options are closed Sundays. Only a 1.3 mile walk to town and a nice walk after you leave the dangerous entrance to the hotel.

This is a big property. It well maintained, clean and quiet. My room was clean all the time. No issues there. Room service was quick. Staff are friendly, helpful and accomodating. There is adequate parking but i get the sense that during peak travel time, parking may be an issue. They offer a free cart ride if you need it. Conference room is up to date. Golf course is close to the hotel. This is near the center of the city which is a big plus but you still able to maintain a place of quiet and relaxing environment. Plenty of trees.

The grounds were very beautiful, and the golf course behind the rooms was fun to watch. The pool and hot tub was clean looking, though busy. The rooms are quite nice, however the building we stayed in was very noisy; people walking above us sounded as if they were stomping and anyone going down our hallway made the room vibrate. The staff were cordial and professional.

When you get somewhere at 10pm, it sucks to be told your room is on the 3rd floor of a building without an elevator, good luck getting your bags up there, by the way there is no more parking. Took over one hour to get situated. Even a motel 6 will do better than that. Even if everything else is perfect, it would be wrong to say this place is anything better than average.

This well known property has recently been refurbished. New carpeting and draperies, new bathroom fixtures and lighting. Loved the sheets!! Our first time there, enroute to the Pebble Beach PGA. Stayed on a Tuesday night and my daughter had the pool and hot tub to herself on Wed. Front desk graciously gave us a late check-out. Would highly recommend and hope to return.....bar was fun and enjoyed some calamari

Nice hotel but I wouldn't call it a luxury hotel. The rooms are nicely furnished but nothing special. They need an upgrade. There is no central air conditioning so the rooms have this stupid AC on the floor that is very noisy. Not what I would call ideal. The hotel is spread out so you have to drive to the restaurant. Had breakfast there. Good but expensive.
They have two outdoor heated pools with hot tubs.

Was not a guest but was visiting friends who were. We spent the evening relaxing by the fire pit in the gazebo (massive by the way, very cozy on a cold night), and played oitdokr games by the pool (shuffleboard and ping pong). Most of the equipment was very nicely maintained, with exception to the ping pong balls, but it's understandable, they're extremely hard to keep track of. The area is beautiful and I'm told the rooms are quite nice.

Everything is spectacular, except for the TV in the room. On demand movies are $20 each, and the live TV is lacking, the tv remotes are antimicrobial, but are universal remotes and are very very slow. Pool is stupendous, rooms are great, but the location could be a bit closer to the beach. The naval postgraduate school is in the way... I'd buy them out if I had Hyatt money.

Stayed here for a work conference. Hotel was nice, though the rooms were a bit small and the walls were quite thin (we got woken up quite early but some noisy neighbors one morning). Beds were comfy, breakfast at the on-site restaurant was good. Conference facilities were nice.

We had a quick one night stay over the weekend. We got to the hotel around 2pm to try for an early check-in (officially at 4pm), and fortunately the room was ready for us. The room itself was quite dated but still clean. The beds were comfortable enough. The water pressure was quite weak though. There is a portable AC in the room but since it was quite cool outside so we just opened a bit of the window and all was good. The check-in staff did acknowledge my Hyatt status, and the room had 2 free bottles of water so that was cool. The lobby was quite nicely decorated, but no complimentary coffee. Well, there is a coffee station in the lobby but you need to buy coffee cups from the gift shop first which is kind of odd. As I said, it was a quick overnight stay.

It's been over 10 years since I last stayed here and I'm very happy to see the rooms are fairly freshly remodeled. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The only drawback is that the units in the teens on up into the 20's (I'm in building 24) have paper thin walls. Even normal volume level conversations can be easily heard in adjoining rooms beside and below my room. The room that I visited in the building on the opposite side of the lobby seems to be quieter inside but their ceilings aren't as high as the one in my 2nd floor room. I have a cathedral-style ceiling and I love it!

The service was top-notch, and amenities abundant. However, the rooms are not what I expected from a 4 stars hotel. For starters, none of the few rooms that we were in had centralized heating and cooling. Instead they had a centralized heating, but a portable AC unit in the room. The machine was so loud that I had to turn it off before going to bed (luckily it wasn't too hot that day). Also the pillows was rather soft and flat, and by the middle of the night I felt like I was sleeping on nothing. Beyond that, the rooms was clean and the beds were comfy. All in all, great service and amenities, so-so on the rooms.

Had a Company retreat here. We started the morning with some breakfast. Great food and awesome service. We were a decently sized group and we were attended very well. Their breakfast buffet was good. Their custom omelettes were also good. The view of the golf course while eating was really great.

The room was updated and modern. The bed was super comfortable and we had a great view of the pool. The pool had many recreational activities and even shuffleboard! It was really easy to navigate to fisherman's wharf and Cannery Way and the staff was awesome, even let us Check in early.

The front desk is extremely helpful, very friendly. The entrance to the hotel is beautiful; some fun things to do including ping pong ball, Connect Four, Shuffle ball , in addition to the swimming pool and hot tub by the golf course. The room has touches of modern pieces which is great, overall it could still use some updating. There's a sports bar, breakfast buffet, and small cafe all are great.

6

The hotel is dated, including having an air conditioning unit on the floor. Not what I think of when I think of a Hyatt. There is nothing to see closer enough to walk so you have to drive everywhere. We prepaid for breakfast with the room only to find out it only covered 2 people and we had 2 kids and breakfast was $30/person. So don't prepay for breakfast if you have more than 2 people. They also tack on a $25/night resort fee.

This Hotel was beautiful and the staff were amazing! We checked in and ran into an issue. However, Joey at the front desk did everything he could do to help and assist us in our stay at the Hyatt. I thank Joey for making this stay at the Hyatt happen; but, more importantly it made my kids stay at the hotel one they won't forget.

The atmosphere was pleasant, the food was great and the hotel room was clean. The kids loved the pool and the all you can eat breakfast. (Food was great)

We will definitely be staying at the Hyatt in all of our future trips.

I was attending a professional conference held by Hospice Giving Foundation. The conference room was spacious, sound system excellent. Lunch was included, the food was good, not great (salad), but the service was superb. Wait staff to be commended** for attentiveness and sensitivity to the ongoing presentation. Parking was ample and as I got there early, very close. Valet also available. Would highly recommend for conference location. As I am a local, did not take advantage of overnight accommodations.

7

Nice hotel. The rooms are good and service was great. The hotel is spread out into 3 or 4 buildings which can require a bit too much walking for people with leg or knee issues, but they will offer to drive you to and from your building in one of their golf carts if you don't mind waiting a bit. Breakfast was an ok buffet, but was lacking in fruit varieties. There's a golf course right behind it, so it would be perfect for a golf enthusiast.

The service was very good here and I'm glad that they are taking many steps to be greener. The cleaning staff come every other day which means they save a ton of water and energy. The WiFi here was surprisingly good. I was able to walk around the expansive hotel area and not lose signal.

Expensive for the quality of the rooms. The walls are thin and you can hear the conversation in the next room. The room next to us flooded so we had to listen to the workmen going in and out of the room for hours. The beds are comfortable, the location is good and the grounds are beautiful, but not worth the price for all the noise.

This was not the typical Hyatt. The property was almost rustic. Beautiful golf course, excellent meeting rooms, well appointed and comfortable common areas. The staff was very friendly, almost homey. While I found the food at the restaurant buffet average, the catered events had outstanding food. Really like that they source locally for some of the ingredients. Oh, and even though it seems like it's away from the madding crowd, it's a five minute drive to downtown LA.

This hotel is very pretty, but it's a bit outdated and the layout is difficult to navigate. I booked a wedding room block here because my venue was only about 8 minutes away. The great thing about it is that it was a courtesy block, so I didn't have to worry about filling up the rooms or having to pay for unused rooms. They offered a good price compared to other hotels, but my guests were able to find a much better price through WeddingWire, so they didn't really use the block. They were very courteous and treated us very well. The only problem we had was that they made some mistakes when my husband's family checked in, and it took him like an hour (while we were supposed to be at the afterparty) to get them to sort it out. One a more positive note, my sister in law told me about a month after the wedding that she had lost a gold bracelet. I emailed them and they got back to me right away telling me that housekeeping had found it, and offering me a few different options for me to retrieve it.

No free breakfast. No elevators. Room was ok, but bathroom was way bigger than I needed and made the rest of the room small, since floor space was eaten up by bathroom. Still, clean, room well maintained, and they have a spa for those that like that. Bar was really cool, best feature of the hotel.

This hotel is nicely located close to DT Monterey. We had the king room with balcony view on the golf which is beautiful and entertaining.
The room itself was well decorated and had a lot amenities. I regret not having a real door between the room and the bath.
Overall the hotel is pretty loud and the room not well insulated. Parking is also difficult.
The hotel forgot our breakfast delivery in the morning but took care of us during the check out.

This hotel is next to one of many gold courses in Monterey. They have a conference center, restaurant, sports type bar, fireside lounge with bar, coffee barrista with snacks, 2 pools and whirlpools.access to 24 hour gym, tennis club use. The rooms are average size, clean not much noise, no noise between rooms, the heater and fans are mostly quiet when in use with heater and airconditioner in room. Shower without tub in room, desk, small fridge and safe. No dresser, two small drawers for storing and usual sized closet. They do have room service until10 pm, 24 hour customer service and front desk assistance. Multiple two story buildings spread out on both sides of main lobby.

I was here in a 3 day conference. The place is beautiful just small details that I dislike. 1 if you are going to be here for a conference/event you might want to ask for a room next to the conference building, I was in building 2 which is all the way at the end so a lot of walking distance from and to the conference building. 2 the shower has the detachable shower head and was quite uncomfortable to shower also the water pressure wasn't the best, other than this is everything else was pretty good, food was delicious one of my favorite was the beef very tender, I loved the mashed potatoes, and the salmon was awesome. Anyway hope this helps =)

Excellent services. Nice, clean, cozy and quite rooms. Excellent breakfast. Very good restaurant and bar. Nice view to the golf field. Far away from downtown and attractions. Fear price.

Beautiful property with great amenities - two pools, decent fitness area, golf course, and of course the rooms are clean and comfortable.

The location is close to the ocean and all the attraction of Monterey but you will be better off with a car as the location is isolated from walking - I am not sure about public transit.

Great staff, I was able to check-in early from my phone. My only compliant is that I did not have good cell reception with Verizon. But a minor detail that could be a welcomed disconnect if you are on vacation.

Place was nice. Only thing is we had a play pen in our room. Not sure why but had to put aside. Good view of pool. Late night dinning was great food too

Hotel overall is nice, the reception staff were excellent, although have some problems as almost all hotels do with multiple names on rooms for staff of an event. The AV/network staff, while they did their job were not as friendly as would be nice, and didn't really go out of their way to make things work well. The rooms are good and good sized, although they only have either 2 double beds or king rooms so those of us sharing space that are taller have to make do or pay extra.

Nice location. Not a lot of food options nearby without taking a quick car ride, but the restaurant and bar have some nice options available. Try the tomato avocado quinoa salad, it's tasty. It's an older hotel that's been renovated, so the rooms are small but nice. Very little non-valet parking during busy times and holiday weekends.

Great food. Inviting ambience. Friendly service staff. Conveniently located. My only critique is that there needs to be a shuttle service from the farthest parking lot to the lobby since it is extremely difficult for guests to walk in their fine gowns, fancy dresses and high heel shoes for over 20 mins just to get to the front door.

The service provided by the staff was great, although the rooms themselves aren't perfect, presumably due to the age of the building.
The room has a fridge, which is nice, but the A/C is provided by a retrofitted system. There were easily accessible plugs on only one of the two nightstands, so you have to do the usual unplug the radio thing to charge your phone if you're sleeping on the other side. My room had an actual balcony, which was very nice to sit on. The shower had pretty low water pressure, presumably because it didn't have a door, just the single fixed pane of glass.
All in all, a decent room and service, with a variety of minor complaints.

Great place to stay for a trip to the Aquarium
, Carmel, & more. Prices can be fair, especially
with a AAA or Gov discount. Kids love this place
with the pools, ping pong, & the green grass of
the Golf Course. Restaurant is pretty good.
The Club room is no great shakes, but they
do have enough snacks (which can be a meal)
for breakfast & dinner time...so that can save
you some money. Their Bar Resturant is OK.
Please be aware of the annoy "resort fee"...but there
is free parking (not like in SF).

Beautiful rooms and grounds. Staff was friendly. Rate was good. The bathroom door could be better (it was on a slider, like a pocket door, so provided little audible privacy). That's the only reason it is a 4 instead of 5 stars

Great experience. Staff made me feel more welcome and appreciated than any place I've been before. Clean, open, inviting and pleasant all around. Would definitely come back again.

Came here for motor show. Crowded. Little bit noisy but the vibe is great. Love atmosphere and people here. Service, location, amenities all 5 stars.

Beautiful resort like hotel. Quiet. Peaceful. Great golf course. Nice rooms. Slightly dated secure in common areas. Overpriced and mediocre house restaurants. Closest hotel to NPS main gate.

Great hotel and resort in Monterey California. Rooms were fresh, with large bathrooms, and a huge big screen TV. Rooms are adjacent to the main building. Perhaps a little difficult to navigate when arriving at midnight. Place has a pool, game Center, And a nice outdoor seating place with open fire. Right next-door golf course. Breakfast buffet was plentiful and delicious, although a bit overpriced. But perhaps that's California pricing. Was charged a resort fee that I wasn't aware of. Oh well.

Great staff and free wi-fi, but goofy layout, dated design and worst of all, the noisiest upper level hotel I have ever stayed at in my 25 years of travel. Paper thin walls, creaky floors, loud doors and hallways. Needs some serious upgrading.

The hotel is excellent and offers fanatic amenities. The location is fantastic with only a short drive to Cannery Drive and the Monterey Bay Aquarium. If you are a golfer this is an excellent place surrounded by world class links. Staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious well equipped and clean.

Mattress pad kept slipping, sheets were not fitted. Really loud highway noise since this older hotel is about 10 feet from hwy 1. Bathroom has a silly post modern shower with only half a door so you're guaranteed to get your bathroom floor completely drenched. Plus no bath tub. You have to drive a car to the clubhouse it's all so spread out.

Very peaceful, quiet, yet close to aquarium and the highway to get to other areas. We appreciated it not being in the thick of things so we could rest after a day of play. Room was clean and well appointed. Beds comfortable with great sheets. Easy parking, room service kids meals were a deal when we didn't want to eat out. Plenty of storage for our belongings, plus fridge included. Excellent customer service throughout hotel. Wish the rooms were a tad larger and there were more amenities in the room without having to request (only a couple bath towels and small soaps/shampoo's for a family of 4), but will still stay here again in the future.
