Really good hotel with Fantastic staff - especially Alex on the bar - very friendly and happy guy. Food very good and reasonably priced. Good gin choices. Will be coming back!

Great service from Alex in the bar! Very positive and friendly person. Food great and cooked to perfection. Rooms are not to big but you have everything you need for good night sleep. Will be coming again. Thanks Jurys Inn Exeter!

Pros
Superb room quality for price
Clean
Access to ice machines
24hr staff present

Cons
Cost of drinks very high

I would like to comment on a person, Amy, who worked the bar whilst I was there, she handled herself in a manner that as a store manager, I thought was outstanding. She handled letchery and indignant guests with dignity and ease without compromising the hospitality that I'm sure the Jury's Inn wants to promote.

To be honest, the only reason I wrote this review was her, it wouldn't be fair to say she was a diamond in the rough, as the hotel was generally quite good.... More like the brightest star in a constellation

This hotel is well located in Exeter in walking distance of shops and restaurants. Only thing that let the visit down was waiting time in the restaurant and bar due to lack of staff. Couldn't knock the staff on duty very helpful and friendly, just not enough staff around to cater for the number of guests at the hotel

The hotel is conveniently located to the movie theater, area shops and restaurants. No need to take a cab for most events as things are within a 15 to 20 minute walk. The hotel is undergoing renovations in the lobby so it's a bit chaotic but that should be done in a few weeks from now. The rooms are well appointed and are spacious enough with a double and single bed in the room. I would definitely recommend a repeat visit to this hotel.

We have stayed here a few times and enjoyed the professional of the staff, on arrival to leaving they are welcoming and we help answer any questions you have on the area.
Clean, tidy and very convenient to the city centre.
Thanks

Small corner room. Very cramped. Horrible. Bathroom, or rather shower room, tiny with no space to put anything! Not even a hook to hang a towel or coat on. Very disappointed. Certainly wouldn't book again. Tired, ugly, not a picture on the wall or any effort made to make it a pleasant stay. Worst place I've stayed for some considerable time.

Nice clean rooms. But no parking. You have to park in parking structure across the rd which cost an extra nine pounds a night.

They will make a vegan breakfast for you if you ask :)

If you stay over frequently, make sure you sign up for they loyalty programme. It's free and you'll get some nice perks almost immediately (like free drink voucher for their bar).

Room keys sometimes don't work (even when they started to give backup one). But they happily exchange them at the reception.

There are usually no queues at the reception. The rooms are spacious and always very clean. Internet is free but as you would expect, video streaming / calling is laggy.

Parking is 10 pounds per day. The hotel is in the downtown area, so it is very congested. The parking in is the parking garage next door. The hotel looks nice... mostly. Mixed in with the generally above average decor were some oddly below average features -- like the veneer on the desk in the room was warped and peeling. The breakfast was fine, especially if you like a full English breakfast. it is within walking distance of Princesshay, which is very convenient.

We stayed here for 2 nights and found the hotel to be great. All the staff members were very professional and couldn't do enough to help. The rooms were comfy and quiet, there is paid car parking very close to the hotel which has reasonable prices.

Location is excellent, being a city centre there is no free parking though so parking at the NCP across the road is a discounted rate of £9 per night if you are staying at the hotel. Room is comfortable and clean and also q decent size, there is no safe in the room though if you were to bring any valuables. There are safe deposit boxes at reception though, but still not as convenient as a room safe. The only other downside is that the hotel does not have a gym. Overall though it is a very nice hotel in an excellent location with friendly staff.

Rooms are a little dated, shower was quite small. However the hotel is very well appointed, excellent breakfast and bar. It's centrally located with good access to the city centre. Overall a standard Jury's Inn, perfectly fine.

The Jury's Inn, Exeter, is located within a few hundred metres of the town centre, making it an ideal location for shoppers. The hotel has a good sized car park opposite. My room was clean and tidy, albeit a little small, however as I stayed by myself this was not an issue. The bed was very comfortable; I honestly didn't want to get out in the morning! The shower was unspectacular but was warm and wet, so no complaints there. I didn't eat dinner at the hotel and didn't try the bar so so I can't comment on the price or quality of the food or the beer. The breakfast is self serve and boasts a large range of culinary options, including blood pudding, a choice of scrambled out fried eggs and fried mushrooms. The bacon was a little greasy and the sausages were merely passible. The kitchen offer various items cooked to order, such as poached eggs, and coffee is available from a coffee machine. All in all a decent stay with no obvious problems.

Just got here, really nice room and has a lovely bath in the room..

We are on the 5th floor with a good view and comfy bed..
Would recommend this place.

I enjoyed my stay at the Jurys Inn, the location is perfect, five minute walk to town town, ten to the cathedral. The room was good size, comfy beds and the breakfast was wonderful, bacon and tomatoes "cooked to perfection" according to my father. Staff were very friendly and helpful, we felt very welcomed. Overall I very much enjoyed my stay, although lacking in picturesque views, a good place to stay for a short visit, and the town has enough to see anyways.

Small negatives, the free WiFi was not good at all, hopefully this was a one off!

The rooms were ok but nothing wow. No car parking on site which I knew before but put my car in a car park next to the hotel which didn't appear to be the safest place. Did in the hotel was very over priced for pretty much box standard food. Breakfast was a good quality though and set me up for the day nicely.

Great location in city, staff were friendly and welcoming. Bar and dining area available. Service was a pretty slow during dinner even when restaurant was quiet, had to ask when my main course and dessert was going to be brought out and it followed swiftly - suspected it was left on the side for a while. Food was OK but Ilwoukd recommend eating in town for better quality & value.

The hotel is located very conveniently with a walking distance to town centre, there is a nice bar at the hotel and a multistorey car park in front of the hotel. Hotel provides discounts to overnight parking, which is very handy. The room was clean and pleasant. Recommended.

I stayed in Exeter jury's inn for two nights for work. Their service was excellent and the restaurant was good - brilliant breakfast choices! Bar staff was very professional. Location was perfect as there's a car park right opposite the hotel and it is within walking distance to town centre, cathedral and river side. The only issue that I had was the cleanliness of the room: the bottom of the shower cubicle door in my room was covered in limescale, the kettle in the room was already half filled with water when I arrived which were slightly off putting and the pillow cases (2 out of 4) had little dotted marks on them. Otherwise, it was a pleasant stay.

Not very good. Food in the restaurant took 45 minutes to arrive. I wasn't charged for the meal but was so hungry and just wanted something to eat. Pizzas are brought in from Domino's through the reception! I had a superior room but no toiletries apart from soap dispenser on wall and shampoo/conditioner dispenser. Hair dryer bracket broken. Bed comfortable enough so had a good night sleep. Breakfast mediocre. Premier Inn just as good and much cheaper.

This was a freebie because on our last visit the weather was awful, the room was freezing and the heating didn't work. We told reception on our way out to dinner and when we got back there was a note saying the heating wasn't working so they provided an electric heater. Unfortunately they hadn't switched it on so the room was still freezing and it took the little heater all night to get rid of the chill. For the freebie they told us they had provided a box of chocolates and vouchers for a free drink at the bar. This seemed like a nice gesture and the drinks were fine but the chocolates turned out to be a packet of Maltesers! Of all the things they needed to get right for this visit you would expect the heating to be spot on but guess what? Even at 25 degrees it blew out freezing cold air! At least this time the weather was better so turning it off raised the temperature.

Quite a disappointing stay, mostly due to lack of staff and value for money. There were queues there for absolutely everything, checkout took 20mins, queue for the bar was 15 people long with one member of staff, had to queue for breakfast (eventhough it was self service). It was quite frankly unacceptable. My room was also a disappointment, next to the bar on the ground floor in between toilets and the laundry room. They shouldn't let these rooms out, especially at the main corporate rate! Also, they restrict the Internet unless you pay a higher rate which is also ridiculous for the price you pay for the room. The staff I did meet were very friendly though.

Update : stayed on one more occasion and a different experience, no queues at all, much nicer room and they have made the effort to put things right. Hats off to them, a big improvement.

The main point for this review is the staff, they are very nice in this hotel. The building is a clean, modern setup. The food is nice and a decent size for the pricing. I popped in just to have a drink/food, but with this visit I would recommend anyone to stay here. It's also very close to the town and cinema.

My stay was reasonable however it's the post stay that has really annoyed me. I left behind an electric toothbrush and wash bag. Whilst I understand that the hotel advises that they won't accept liability for lost items etc I did feel that as my toothbrush wasn't cheap I'd make some enquiries to see if it could be posted back to me (I'd be happy to pay the costs)
I've made four calls in total - three staff promised me call backs or e-mails. I've also left a message on the housekeeping answer-phone giving my contact details asking for a call back.
No contact has been received. POOR POOR SERVICE

The reception area was good, the voice in the lift sounded like a dalek with a flat battery and the chairs in the breakfast area had ominous stains on them.

The room was OK, nothing special but then I have been spoilt by the likes of Premier Inn. I was surprised by the amount of silicone sealant that had been used in the bathroom. How did they manage to get so much silicone sealant into such a small space?

I particularly liked the moustache on the sanitary bag lady-really raised the standard of the room.

Good position-opposite a reasonably priced car park.

Wonderful hotel, rooms, beds, staff everything great. Breakfast very good and affordable (Tip, pay the night before for big discount) only minor criticism is you have to pay extra for espresso coffee (percolator coffee free) most hotel buffets include this as part of the price. Otherwise an excellent option when staying in Exeter.

It's in a very convenient location, 3 minutes away from the high street and loads of restaurants. the rooms are immaculate, kept very clean and very attentive maids. Nice hotel, no parking use either use NCP across the road (25% discount) or £6.20 for 24 hours in the pay and display round the back. If your tight, like me, there's a Coop a few minutes away got a bag of croissants and some juice for 3 quid and change.
