Good hotel. The price is reasonable and the bed is so comfortable. The staff is also friendly.I recommend the people who travel SF stay here.

Old style motel. Door opens to parking lot. My car got dented in parking lot. Close quarters and tight parking lot. Not too bad of a room.

Great service. Clean well maintained room and motel. Inexpensive (for Berkeley).

Motel definitely describes this place more accurately than Hotel. Staff were pleasant and prices were reasonable, for this area. It is also just a few minutes walk from the BART station in North Berkeley which is a bonus.

Accomodation though is very basic. Perhaps my biggest issue was the lack of sound proofing. The sound of traffic and trains was fairly loud well into the night and I could hear the TV in the room next door as clearly as my own, which isn't great when next door decide to leave it on all night!

Oh, and describing a bowl of cereal and an apple, served in reception as a continental breakfast is pushing it a little bit.

Still, you get what you pay for, and this Motel does what it says on the tin.

Good bed, nice bathroom. Other than that awkward location with nothing nearby, too much noise, and extremely small and limited parking spaces. The day front desk guy very accommodating polite nice and helpful though.

Very friendly staff and the rooms are well taken care of.

Clean but poor attention to maintenance: 2 outlets non-functional; one bedside light didn't work. Keys worked about 1/2 the time. Parking spaces were too small to put 2 modern cards in side but side and still squeeze out on both sides. Most: voices from other rooms, odd beeps and whirrs from who knows what on and off.

It was cheap and clean, so it served it's purpose.

Decent place to stay and pretty much exactly what I was expecting for the price. The bed was clean and comfortable and everything in the room functioned well. The location is great too; 15 minute walk to downtown. Perfect place if you're not looking for anything too fancy and just need a place to crash.

I stayed at this place for over a month in summer of 2016 with my family. Frankly speaking, it was clean, tidy, quiet and friendly staff. But I was charged just as if I stayed for one or two nights. Therefore, the rate was over budget for such a long period of time.

Small hotel. Our stay was nice, staff very nice. Besides low water pressure and lack of a big breakfast everything was great.

Rooms are clean but not fancy. Breakfast is cereal and juice/coffee, no other food. Beds are comfortable.

Stayed here a week while visiting the Bay Area. Great area close to Downtown Berkeley and even closer to N Berkeley Bart and very easy to travel around. Quiet, decent breakfast, comfortable bed and good amenities.

Knights Inn offers clean rooms and a fast check in and check out. Basic ammenities were provided in the room, as well as a basic grab and go breakfast in the lobby including cereal, tea, juice, coffee, danishes and fruit. Limited parking in the lot, but seems to be enough room for one spot per guest room. Kind and pleasant service, would recommend to anyone looking for a basic room close to the heart of the city.

Rooms great for the price. Bed was comfortable. Room was clean, and neat had a mini fridge in the room. Parking is VERY tight. And if im not mistaken you can NOT back into a parking space for an easier exit. It's a little farther away from everything than i would have like to have been but it's still within walking distance to popular places to eat and see (10 to 20 minute walk 1 way). Staff was friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay here again.

I got no rest at this place. I'm not sure what was worse...the ticking refrigerator, the clicking heater, the stains I found, especially on the blue decor pillow! Not to mention the room is way smaller than it appeared online and access to room doors are outside not an indoor situation at all which made me feel unsafe not to mention their sign has 'motel' at the end of their name and it REALLY lives up to the motel feel. However, check my pics out and you be the judge...it might just be me. Also their towels are not theirs...I'm just saying.

Staff was professional and friendly. The room was a little on the small side but everything was nice and clean. The only negatives I can think of are that the parking spaces are really tight and that the room didn't have a clothing iron.

Its located right on University Ave right next to a Chevron gas station. The room itself is pretty basic. It's not the fanciest room but has a microwave and a good sized fridge.

Nice clean rooms. Comfy bed with a nice tv. Staff was very friendly. What else could you ask for an afordable price.

This is a budget motel but it’s very clean, smells nice, has TV with dish satellite, and Wi-Fi. Along with hot shower I don’t really need anything else. It’s also very well located and walking distance to shops and restaurants in Berkeley

Great location..right next to a pizza parlor and a great mexican restaurant down the st from the Bart. The bed was just the right firmness great after a long drive. the bathroom was small but the shower was huge. The breakfast was coffee with pastry and cereal, Just right to start the day.

The rooms are small and parking is safe but tight. The room was very clean and the staff were great.

Clean enough. Near the university. The high shower head seemed good, but there was no water pressure. The host was very friendly and creative.

Easy check-in and check-out. Room was really clean and management was friendly. Not too pricey either. Would definitely recommend.

Our stay here was amazing. The staff was friendly and engaging. The rooms and building were clean and orderly. As well as afforable this was also close by to many of the shops as well.

We came in late and the gentleman at the desk was very positive and helpful. The room was small but adequate. The place was clean and nicely decorated. With a fridge, microwave and a light breakfast it had everything we needed.

Awesome little place to stay.
My husband and i just visited California (me for the 1st time) and i loved this awesome little place. The staff we very very nice, and always willing to help. I love that we got in at 2am and checked in with no issues. This place isn't full of all the goods like higher end hotels, but i prefer minimal things as typically i am not there to spend my time in a hotel other than sleeping at night and showering.
They were also about the only place i could find with free parking for the rental car as most other places it cost ($25-$50) extra a day.
Really have zero complaints about this place, i will most definitely stay here again if i am ever near San Francisco again.

This place is perfect if you just want the basics in a place to stay! Free parking is available but it is VERY small so don't expect to fit a huge vehicle in there especially at night when everyone is here. The rooms are nice, free WIFI, and also satellite tv. The rooms are absolutely reasonably priced based off what all you get. I'd definitely stay here again!
Oh and staffing is wonderful we checked in at 2am and the Manger I believe was absolutely welcoming, everyone else we have told to since is also just as amazing

Staff was alert and helpful. Helped me get a downstairs room. Modest room was clean and very comfortable. Location is quiet.

The place is clean and nicely decorated, sweet blooming plants outside, quiet even though the location seems close to town center. The staff is friendly and very helpful when I asked for assistance. The pick-up breakfast is simple but a convenient time-saver.

The room was the cheapest in town but clean and everything worked. I had a fridge and microwave in the room, which I didn't expect. The staff I interacted with were all very nice, and one even let me use her personal contact lenses solution when I forgot mine.

This was my 4th trip to San Francisco to visit my daughter, and I always stay here. It is a very well run and friendly motel, the staff are so helpful and accommodating. It is in a most convenient location, a 10 minute walk from the BART and close to the Berkeley shopping centre, with several great restaurants to choose from. The rooms are clean, well designed and comfortable. Thanks again Knights Inn Berkeley.

Knights Inn is a very convenient place to stay in Berkeley, I have stayed here frequently when I have come to visit. It is close to the University, and very convenient for my needs. Sam is always terrific. I can call him to reserve a room and he knows me now. They work hard to make sure everything is very comfortable for busy travelers.

Good hotel if you're just looking for budget friendly. Rooms are pretty decent, if a little on the small side. The parking is pretty tricky if you have a larger vehicle.

Exceptional service and quality of food. The truffle menu was an amazing experience, completely worth the extra $$ for our special occasion. The Sommelier was very informative and easy going...a real treat of an experience all around!

Staff are...not impolite. Sheets are clean and soft, mattress is uncomfortable. Bathroom is recently renovated and shower is clearly built with people 6ft tall in mind.

Location was very close to UC Berkeley. Price was around $180 per night. Continental breakfast included Svenhart danish pastries, milk, Corn flake or raisin corn flake cereal, coffee, and orange juice. All was self-serve. Feet rest Was on bed by the pillows and was dirty and stained. When walking in there was a slight bleach odor. One guy was working at the front desk and was very courteous.

We were only there for a few hours to sleep. Nice room, friendly employee at front desk. The continental breakfast was just cold cereal and processed pastries. Decent price for the area, good access to BART.

Nice beds. Overly priced

It's a no frills kind of spot. Walls are kind of thin, so there's that. We arrived early our first night and they were kind enough to store our bags until check-in time (we didn't have a car). Staying for a few nights so I'll up date this when we leave.

Nice simple place. A bit basic, but the super nice family that runs it is very caring and takes care of anything you need.

They were the only motel in the area that had a room one weekend and they told me it was $90, 30 min later when I showed up it was $119 plus tax so I really paid $140 for one night, their scammers and rude and the bed was gross..don't go here if you can help it

If there really is five stars then i would give them one. They dint even have matching hangers the room smelt like cigars and the manager would not switch us to a cleaner room the sink had hair all over it and the shower my family and i were afraid of what was on the beds and every thing then once we settled in we realized the toilet didn't work we then had to to go over to the check in shoe box sized office to tell them they handed me a plunger and told me to fix it my self eww as a guest im ensured to just relax and enjoy they wanted me to do their work so my brother decided to try and fix it and it didn't work so we called and they showed up to fix it two people were in their together screaming in they're native India langue at the toilet and tried to vacuum the toilet water out they even dumped the toilet water in to the sink we were trying to have a family discussion and we couldn't even hear each other when we packed up our stuff and head out the door they stopped us and gave us a clean room as we tried sleeping that night we continued to hear them screaming and fussing about the room my advise don't stay at the "poop Room" if you want to sleep do stay if you want a laugh tho ;) good luck then !
