Great hotel if you're staying out in Long Island. Rooms are very clean and modern. Really nice lounge available for gold and platinum members.

Hotel was great. Updated and the pool was fun for the kids on a rainy day. The pool attendant was exceptionally nice. The rooms are spacious. The neighbor noise was excessive, lots of slamming doors over and over again at 1:30am. The hotel can't do much about that or really be held responsible.

Nice facility. Friendly staff. Good food. Trendy bar. Dated rooms.

Edit: stayed here again and they have updated their rooms and decor. Nice work.

Staff was great. Rooms were clean and nice. Only complaint was the food at the bar. It was late night when I ordered it (11pm.. I think they closed at 12). I understand the kitchen is ramping down for the evening.. but what was sent out was barely edible. Cold soggy food. Other than that though I enjoyed my stay. Would book again.

Hotel was clean and modern. Room was nicely required with toiletries & the TV was Netflix compatible. There's also a lounge/bar area that was pretty lively on a Saturday night. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Gorgeous layout inside. Friendly staff well designed rooms. Hotel was right off the highway, which made getting to it a breeze, despite the long island traffic.

We went to the Melville Marriott for a stay cation here on Long Island. The rooms were neat and clean, the beds were comfortable and the breakfast that was included was phenomenal. That was including a waffle and omelet station. Spent most of the time in the pool which was beautiful

My room was perfect. Extra sheets were needed and were brought to the room within 2 minutes. Basics like ice and water are easily accessible outside the rooms. All staff that was seen in the halls always had a smile and would say hello

Room was nice and comfortable. Weird thing was when I went to check out. I told the girl, two things. One, I have a package that was delivered here for me and two, I need to check out. She checked me out, gave me a receipt. Than went to go get my fedex package. She came back and said” I need to see your receipt, there is a 1$ fee for package delivery. So this girl took my receipt, and added 1$ to my bill. Two issues, first I told this girl I was checking out and had a package delivered. Why check me out, go get the package and than charge me a dollar and than give me another receipt. It was a 10 min delay in the time FedEx texted and said it was there, till I actually had the package in my hand. I’m not upset about the dollar, if that’s the policy, but for $267, you think that would be enough to train the staff.

Clean rooms with modern design. Comfy bed and a lot of lights to turn off before turning in (lights don't effect my rating unless there are issues where there aren't enough). Subtracted a star for breakfast buffet, it hardly seems worth the price. McDonald's is a better choice.

I've been here on several occasions for company events. The food is okay, the atrium is gorgeous. The hotel can be a little hard to see due to bring partially obscured by trees. Be advised that wait staff can be overworked and oblivious to the world around them. One dumped a sizable amount is water on me and it too me having to publicly alley her to the situation before she attempted to correct her behavior.

In addition, the decor in many of the conference rooms if stuffy and appears to be in need of modernization. Few if any healthy food options are available.

In addition, some rooms have large sliding glass doors that are viewed from the atrium. What about privacy for guests? If a sliding door is left with the curtain not fully closed, the implications could be undesirable for a customer. If I was selling personal time, is be compelled to go to a place with fully solid walls, no glass sliding doors, and a proper entry door. Not sure if for code compliance, but it's unsettling to me.

Beautiful place and nice employees, but next to impossible to find. Drove back and forth multiple times and even went into the facility and they couldn't tell me where 1350 Walt Whitman Rd. was locaated. I was sent out and up the road. They should have a more noticeable address set outside.

Had a great experience as soon as I walked in the door. Everyone was so friendly and helpful helping and directing me. The conference room was set up nice with drinks and some snacks. I would recommend having any sort of conference or meeting here.

Room was nice and clean. Looks like it was recently re done. It also looks like they are still working on the rest of the hotel. Was only there for a night so i didn't use much of the amenities.

My reviews are generally around the food....so for the Marriott I am a “regular” there for business meetings and morning breakfasts....it works! Plenty of parking, super accessible from major highways, always that “Marriott Good Morning” from friendly staff and long term server, “Maria” is always so helpful! A perfect place for a meeting with prospects, colleagues or good friends!

There for a business conference. I must say it's very impressive. The food served was very good, the lighting was excellent, and the employees was quick and efficient. Looking forward to returning again in future and would highly a stay there to family and friends.

I attended a full-day professional development workshop in the salons. The atmosphere is aesthetically pleasing and signage is visible and helpful. The temperature fluctuated throughout the day leaving some people either hot or cold, but it wasn't a problem for me. Our entire group went to the restaurant for lunch at the same time and a limited menu was provided. The waiter was at the table when I got there informing me the other guests already ordered. Their food came out fairly quickly, but the waiter didn't come back to take my (and two other's) order until 30 minutes later. He brought the check with individual slips for each person then never came back. One person from our party brought him the payments and returned to the table with the credit cards and receipts to sign. We all wound up being 10-15 minutes late for the afternoon session. The total allotted break time was 1:15 minutes. Several other groups were in the restaurant at the same time. Perhaps staffing should be increased when functions are being hosted. Overall, I would reccommend this venue for conferences and large parties.

Breakfast services was good compared to a average Residence Inn. Check in was quick. However the hotel has not been renovated for a while and carpets looked worn out. Bathrooms are dated. Expect better from Marriott.

4

Rather disappointing overall.

Room service was overpriced (70$ for what amounted to the equivalent of 3 tv dinners).
Also used far too much plastic packaging despite notes in the bathrooms requesting the guest to "save the environment" by reusing towels (a bit hypocritical if you ask me).

When asked to provide a menu to order breakfast, there were none available at the concierge, and despite requesting one to be delivered, none came.

Internet is not complementary. Bathtub drain backed up water. No nearby public transport. Room had no microwave. Rooms on the main floor are located after a staircase with no ramp nearby for luggage.

At least they made good complementary apple cider. I expected better service from Marriott.

Excellent staff, from the top down, everybody we dealt with was excellent and a pleasure to deal with. Everyone put a smile on our faces. Lobby and all public spaces are beautiful ! All 400 rooms are being renovated to the same level. Our bed was so good we really didn't want to leave !

We have been to through hotel frequently for this same annual event. The conference room we use is great for us, and the staff gets it turned around quickly. The food provided for the banquet is generally tasty and of a good variety. Staff is always helpful and friendly I do think the food for lunch and breakfast options tends to be too much starch and not enough for and vegetable options, though proteins are in a fairly good proportion.

Stayed for a week to conduct training meetings in the hotel conference rooms. My hotel room was nice, and the beds were super comfortable. I slept well. My only issue was with the conference rooms. Whenever we had an issue and needed something taken care of, there was no sense of urgency to address our issues by the staff whatsoever. That was disappointing.

The Melville Marriott is an okay hotel. The location is pretty convenient in terms of getting around Long Island. It is a bit dated though and I think the fact that the interior "balconies" have sliding doors that open right into the walkway is strange. You have to keep the privacy curtain closed 24/7 unless you want to make friends with passersby. I do believe the hotel is preparing for a remodel, which is needed. The staff is very friendly and I thought the Continental breakfast in the Concierge lounge was decent.

My uncle was in town and staying here for the weekend. I met him for breakfast at the hotel restaurant and it was fantastic. They have an omelet bar and a full breakfast buffet, along with a standard menu available. The restaurant is laid out quite nicely with great, comfortable seating. It's a very unique look complimented with great food. I got a chance to check out the room and the common areas, and everything is very well done. I'd definitely stay here if I was coming in from out of town.

The Melville Marriott was a really nice hotel. I had a great time staying there and the quality of the room was top notch. The shower was amazing. And the king bed was very comfortable. Staff was nice and inviting. This was one of the biggest hotels I've ever stayed at. I didn't love the crazy long walk from the room to the lobby but that's a minor gripe.

Attended a work event, and the name of the org hosting the event just happens to be the same name as one of the conference rooms in the hotel. Which completely flumoxd the girl at the front desk. Even after I called the front desk from inside the event to ensure that miscommunication stopped - it didn't. The conference rooms, or "salons" are difficult to find, oddly placed, and oddly shaped. The employees who I interacted with (post-front desk) were lovely and helpful, and the best part of the experience. Joe who helped with IT and Toni the bartender and Corrine our maître d', were the only redeeming parts of the experience.

Renovations to the bar, restaurant, and other common areas are very well done. The staff is exceptional, everyone was very friendly all the time even when they weren't directly helping you.
I was here for a large event and the noise really carries. Make sure to inquire if there's an event with a dj during your stay and if there is request a far room, it's quite the walk but worth it. The doors to the guestrooms don't block much noise, you can plainly hear a conversation of folks as they walk to their room.
The guestrooms themselves are renovated but not as recently as the lobby I think. They have mini fridges and a good layout but the bathroom is a little small.
The whole hotel is relatively humid especially in the rooms, but I didn't smell mildew or mold at all.

Stayed overnight after a wedding. The open layout with the overlooking balcony floor was a cool style. However, if you have a room on the pool side, expect it to smell like clorine. The room was nice, bed was very comfortable, and having the microwave was nice. We went to the bar for an after party to the wedding and the bartenders made good drinks and were fully equipped to handle the 50+ people who were there.

I've been to the Marriott a couple of times (mainly for meetings or informational congregations), and the service there is quite wonderful. There's always a delicate fragrance in their halls, the workers are keen to help you to your destination, and it's certainly a beautiful place to be in terms of interior decoration. All in all, it's a very smooth experience visiting the Marriott.

The Marriott Melville is the absolute best among all hotels in its class, bar none. Our recent stay was incredible. Rooms, decor, restaurant, all superior. But their best quality was the friendliness and competency of the staff. All were top notch-the front desk, housekeeping, restaurant, maintenance workers, everyone. We'll make the Marriott Melville the destination for our annual family stay on Long Island.

The room was as expected. The experience was unexpected. My family and I had travel issues and ended up at this wonderful property. What makes this place the best: the staff and management. They worked much harder than I had ever expected. With their help, my family and I were quickly on our way. I would recommend this location to anyone. Thanks again.

Overall, this is a good hotel. The rooms are serviceable and average, but essentially par for the price range. The food at the restaurant was pretty lackluster, but the bar and lounge area are great. There is a pretty neat indoor pool area that's a bit different from most hotels--it's not separated from the lodging quarters. We had no issues with our stay, and gladly would again.

The location is ready to find. The entrance and lobby are recently renovated and therefore modern and beautiful. however at a lot of the side entrances the doors are not secure bc the locks did not need cards to enter and there is a very strong smell of mold. it looks as though it isn't under construction either so I'm hoping that they are going to continue renovating the hotel

The staff is absolutely top notch. From Janeese the Manager making sure our overnight stay was comfortable and relaxing to Nahla at the front desk being so sweet and helpful. Even as we walked through the halls staff members greeted us with smiles and nods of salutation.
We had breakfast in the Bistro the next morning and it was delicious. The waitstaff again were just pleasant.
Our room was the junior suite and very clean.
Overall a great place to stay as a home away from home. Thank you Marriott!

The location of th hotel is kinda strange because I couldn't see it before turning down the road towards the hotel. Good bar, good lounge, dated rooms. The rooms aren't bad, but the bathroom is small and the fixtures are a bit dated. The elevators are slow and the hall carpet has seen better days. My shower handle kept drooping, getting ever warmer requiring frequent adjustments to not get too hot. The elite club is spacious and serves standard breakfast with decent evening snacks and deserts. I would go back, but it's clearly past its prime. They have shuttle to bring you to local businesses, but I didn't use it so I can't say more than it exists and I saw it roaming through town once.

Lobby area had a recent renovation and is s great space. However the room was odd. The sliding glass door faced into a public hallway, so I had to keepthe curtains shut the entire time. Plus the ac in the room was not sufficient. I'm generally a cold person, but I had the ac on 65 the whole time and it never got cold.

Very nice hotel with great amenities, clean and spacious rooms. The staff is exceptionally friendly and accomodating. One of the nicer Marriott hotels around. My only criticism is that the hotel does not have a hot tub working in the indoor pool area.
