The cleanliness of the room was quite poor. The bathroom sink had hair in it and there was no shampoo or conditioner provided, just 2 bars of soap. The bathroom floor also looked as if it needed swept as there was also hair on the floor. The room was very basic, no fridge or coffee maker. The walls are paper thin and there was always people loitering around on the sidewalk outside of our room. I won't stay here again.

It was great... front desk was fantastic. House keeping was way above and beyond the call of duty. Thank you so much I very much enjoyed my stay. It defiantly not the hotel six of old with beds like plywood.

The only problem we had was that they were full when we showed up at 11pm on Friday night, but that was hardly their fault. lol I managed to book a room online on Saturday and everything went very smoothly. Check-in was a breeze, the room was clean and comfortable, the staff were courteous when we had to call to ask for toilet paper, and check-out was quick and easy on Sunday morning. We love visiting my family in the area and Motel 6 is our go-to place to stay.

Everything was great. The room was clean and odor free. The desk staff were courteous and helpful. Everything was in working order. There was no excessive noise from other adjoining guests.
I had an opportunity to tell family members about the Coos Bay Motel 6 and recommended they stay here.

Was great yo get a last minute reservation. Staff was very friendly & helpful. Room was quiet. I wish they had a coffee maker & blow dryer in the room and more electrical outlets.

We were favorably impressed by the service received by the cheerful people at the front desk. I was offered a detailed map of the city when I woke up for a cup of coffee. I had had an excellent sleep, which eliminated the jet lag I thought I would feel. The room was clean, and so was the shower. I had an excellent stay at a good price.

The overall stay was good. We drove in from CA so we were able to check into our room very early in the morning. The attendant was very nice and upbeat considering how early it was which was good. The room was decent. No hair dryer, ironing board or mini fridge so standard double bed. The shower had good pressure but might need to look into new shower curtains.. didn't close and water ended up everywhere on the floor. Had to use one of the towels to clean up the mess. The bottle opener was installed wrong because when we used it everything came spraying out... multiple times so it wasn't the bottles. When the service team came to clean they left the window open which I was unhappy about considering our personal belongings were in there. No loud obnoxious neighbors, no riffraff, parking lot well lit for night.

I frequent Motel 6 because it's dog-friendly without the extra fees. I stayed here on a Sunday night and the price and availability was great. I got a room on the first floor which I wanted for my dogs. The shower was great. There was coffee available. I got extra towels when I asked. The front desk mentioned there's a free shuttle to the casino down the road. The only gripe I had was that there's grass area available on the front of the motel but there's was a lot of dog stuff not picked up. On the info sheet, they mentioned on the north and west (backside) of the hotel there's grass area but I caution you that you can't walk through the hotel so you have to go all the around the motel and dog stuff was not picked up. Staff was nice and friendly and rooms were good.

Front desk staff was really great. He had me checked in and was able to get me in a first floor room. This is very important due to a medical condition. I have found that if I’m not checked in when the res is made first floor rooms are gone before I arrive so this was great. He was very personable as well, I appreciate that.

Clean room, convenient spot, nice staff and nice and quiet- despite being on a busy road and being a busy motel. Nice simple place! Would have liked free shampoo/conditioner as I hadn't planned on staying overnight but didn't take away from a good experience otherwise.

Probably can't stay at Motel 6 in the future because of your new "No Privacy" policy. I am a sales rep and keep valuable sales samples, electronics, and important files in my room. It is unacceptable to me to have housekeeping come into my room whenever they want. I must keep a "Do Not Disturb" sign on my door when I am out of the room. Probably your new policy doesn't affect your "normal" customer that only travels with a suitcase and some clothes.

Also, it seems that I was overcharged about $8 for my stay. I asked the front desk staff thee times to explain my bill, but they could not give me an adequate explanation. I travel over 200 nights a year for business and I have never seen an invoice that does not show line by line charges for each night of my stay. This includes other Motel 6 properties. I suppose it a corporate property policy to create invoices in this manner, as the franchise Motel 6 properties provide "normal', easy to read, invoices.

I have stayed at this Coos Bay property for approx 20 years, always for multiple nights. However, I will probably not return except maybe for a one night stay, where your new housekeeping policy would not be an issue.

For the past ten years I have driven coast to coast four times a year, and I stay at Motel 6 when traveling, a lot. This Motel 6 is one of the very best. The night, and day, staff are friendly and helpful, the room was clean, modern, and comfortable. The access and parking is easy, and the location could not be better, and it has a wonderful view, no charge.
Of course, Motel 6 fits in a budget.

Was great service..when I did my walk through like I do every hotel or motel I stay at I make sure that nothing is dirty like the floor, bathrooms, counters, etc etc..well when I walked through the room i was staying in I have noticed that the toilet seat was about to fall off the toilet. So over all the experience was amazing front desk main lobby folks were super nice and respectful thank you I will be using motel 6 in my future again

The room was great, clean and comfortable, especially considering how affordable the rates are. Nice to have the pergo floors for the pets, keeps odors from building and also doesn't give the dogs any clue that other dogs have marked and should be marked over.

Bedside wall light had a broken switch. Would have been nice to have that light available.

Guidance on use of the $4.99 high speed internet option was inadequate. My phone could not connect to the wireless with the information given, and I was too busy to follow up with the front desk again to get clarification. So that ended up being a complete waste of my money. Also they could not tell me what access speed I was purchasing. If you want me to spend extra money on your high speed service, it should be offered with better information up front.

Older motel that has NO CARPET in the rooms, is pet-friendly and inexpensive which is VERY NICE. The staff is nice, the location convenient. However it is very noisy and a long walk around the building to the place where my dog could go potty. No coffee maker or refrigerator in the room, uncomfortable bed. Other Motel 6 that I have stayed at are much nicer.

All the workers were very nice! room was clean and homey. This is the second time we stayed in the same room 244 in the last few months. the front door is hard to close so we had to check to make sure the door was actually closed each time we left. Also not to thrilled about the charge for wifi.

The room was nice and a great value for the price. The front desk was very helpful in getting paperwork to my staff that was staying there, as well as referring me to the 1-800 number when I made a mistake online making the reservation. I plan to use them every time my installers need to stay overnight in the area. The only thing that needed to be fixed was the hot tub but that seemed like a regular maintenance thing.

The room needs a deep cleaning. After they clean the room, I asked for a room so I could do some more sweeping myself. There is black mold in the grout in the bathroom and around the windows. The outlets in the kitchen did not work, so the microwave and toaster plugged in there would not work. We reported this the first day, but they were never fixed. Our room keys repeatedly would not work, and we had to have them replaced 3 times over a two-day period. There was no countertop in the bathroom.Just a sink. I put my Cosmetics bag on the floor.

We were given a King size corner room where we were not able to hear the neighbors. The bed was comfortable, it felt quite private. And we had a window that looked out to the street instead of the parking lot. It was rather nice. We felt we had quite a bit of privacy. We will definitely be staying again.

Nice, no-frills room. Reasonably clean - but could be better especially around the bathroom area. Staff was very friendly, can-do. I liked them. However the clientele was poor. Lots of smoking has led to cigarette garbage in the parking lot and walking areas. Late night noise is also a problem. I was also surprised by the extra charge for internet. Super 8 is closely priced and without the drawbacks.

The room smelled when we first got there and it was about 99 degrees in the room. I don't like to complain so we turned off the heat and opened the window and left for a couple hours to do other stuff. When we returned the smell was gone and the temp was comfortable. During the night we noticed that the heater either was cold or hot, depending on how it felt each minute? Probably need to check on room #124

The hotel is great. The beds not so much. I stayed in Room 149. I sat down on the bed and you could hear the springs popping. When I laid down that is all I could feel were the coils. When I went to roll over and move closer to the middle it felt like someone had stuck a board down the middle underneath and you could feel it through the mattress. the middle of the bed felt like it was raised probably a quarter to half an inch and hard as a rock. I was to stay two nights, but I woke up in so much pain I asked for a refund for the second night and went to the hotel I usually go to when I am in the area. I understand you do not charge much for the hotels. but you might want to check the beds you use. I have stayed at the one in Roseburg and the bed was worse. But I wanted to give you guys another chance. It is two days later and I am still in a lot of pain.

Cute rooms.. beds not so much.

Stay was ok this time around. Room was a little tore up. The yellow thing that hold the towels wasn't even secured to the wall, it was just sitting on the bathroom counter. There was woman walking around the parking lot playing video games on her tablet and smoking cigarettes. I am pretty sure she lived in your motel. The motel just seemed a lot more ran down and wasn't keeping the best company as it was last year. We stay here once a year for the last 4 years.

Rooms where dirty and smelled like mold. I could see mold all over the door and window. Walls where dirty and there was dog hair on our floor. The beds are just springs wrapped in foam extremely uncomfortable and noisy. No coffe maker or microwave. No mini fridge or working ice machines which was tough since we had a couple 2 year olds with us. I booked 2 rooms and requested conjoined rooms and was not told till we arrived that they didn't have any. The staff was rude didn't care for the lady at the front counter at all. I would expect all this for $50 bucks a night but we payed $90 a night per room. I feel like we got ripped off.

This is a great motel 6! Nice beds and towels! A hot tub and sauna! My only downside is that there was dog area and sadly the area around the hotel people had been using to potty there dogs they hadn't been picking up after their dogs. (Not really the hotels fault )
We had a great stay.

It was a well taken care of room and clean. The hotub area was clean and well taken care of. The staff was very nice. We had a non smoking room but it smelled like a smoking room. My daughter is very sensitive to nicotine and she was having a hard time with the smell. We had the window open but had to close it because of the people smoking outside. That is our only downfall, though it's a big one. If we ever stay here again we will definitely ask to see the room first. Room 115
We stayed again, this time in room 229. The staff was great, the room was clean and smelled decent, the main door jam was broken and our sink water never got hot. Other than that for the price it was a good stay.

The room and beds were clean and pleasant. However the telephone was not working. It appeared it had been chewed on. The smoke alarm had been disabled. There was pet damage to the bathroom door that we reported so our little dogs would not be blamed.

Overall a good experience nd we will be back. The front desk people were very nice and helpful.

5

The room was clean and fresh looking but the bed was too hard and I could feel the springs. It also would have been nice to have a little refrigerator. The staff needs to remember to tell the guests that the vending/ice room needs a room key to get in.
The bathtub needs some kind of safety bar and/or slip resistant surface in the tub. Older people get more unsteady as they age. I felt rather vulnerable. I would stay again but some updates would make it nicer.

Check in and out experiences were fine, as was the cleanliness of the room and helpfulness of the housekeeping staff, but location, lack of in room coffee maker, and lack of safe dog walking area were distinct minuses.
Location: between Hwy 101 and a sewage treatment facility in the industrial area of Coos Bay - so easy to find but also smelly and noisy. No in room coffee maker (?????) and the office coffee was lousy and not even available before 7am. Dog walking area amounted to walking around the building, again in a seedy neighborhood, and with no lighting at night. I was glad my husband took our dog out in the dark.
So, again, staff and cleanliness were fine, room okay for the price, but we're not likely to return.

The guy at the front desk was extremely nice and helpful (I can't remember his name). The room was clean. There was not many towels but we got by. We didn't know about the hot tub, your front desk workers may want to tell customer about it and the hours of operation. It would have been a great thing to know about. You're also the only place that has air conditioning that work in the rooms. We went to 4 different places and called many more but no-one on the coast seems to think you need A/C. Thank you so much for that! The only problem I really had was the price, but it seems like everyone on the coast is expensive.

Called the property to make sure they hold my room for very late arrival. Lady on the phone was so sweet and even wished us a safe drive. I knew then that my stay will be great. Arrived at 5am, met the sweet lady at the desk and checked into my clean and fresh room. We left 2 hours later to watch the eclipse in Newport as suggested by the front desk agent who was very knowledgeable of the area and the special event that day. I wish I had more time at this motel.

It's really a nice hotel at nice location. I booked 2 rooms for me and my friends. Rooms were clean and nicely decorated. But one thing was missing was microwave. I had 1 kid and I had to feed her bottled milk. I had to go to front desk always to get the milk hot. But front desk manager Tim was awesome and very helpful during my stay. Overall, hotel staff is nice and helpful. Just one thing missing in the room was microwave.

Room is nicer than expected. Laminate floors and granite counters give you a contemporary feel. Dual sinks, integrated USB charging ports, and plenty of visible power outlets make it very convenient. However, the A/C unit is ancient. There is no temperature settings. You have to choose heat or cool, high or low. If you get cold at the middle of the night and wants to turn up the heat, you have to get up and push the button on the A/C unit’s control panel, and if you are too tired to get up and sleep through the night, you may end up with a cold in the morning. The towels are old. Blankets have holes on them that you can put your thumbs through them. Staff is friendly and helpful.

We booked a handicap room but the oddly shaped small room was too small. We ended up upgrading to a suite with a bedroom, living area and kitchenette. The room was nicer, for a Motel 6, but the fridge was dirty and there was sticky stuff on the floor in the bedroom. The microwave had crusted food on the tray inside but overall...update the dining room furniture and clean better and it's an okay place to stay. Not that much cheaper than a nice place though and so we will more than like pay the extra to stay elsewhere. Just thought we'd give them a try since they remodeled the rooms.

The room was very clean, fresh bedding, bathroom was spotless,
Shower flow was too low for me.
Room was very quiet and air conditioning was nice.

Clean and comfortable room. Staff were very friendly. If you need it quiet to sleep you might not want to stay here. Very noisy all night because of busy Hwy 101 and across the street from active train tracks. Price was a bit high.

We were passing through the Oregon Coast on a car trip and decided to stay one night at the Motel 6 in Coos Bay to break up the trip. There was plenty of parking in the lot. The room was basic but functional, but it had a hard floor that apparently was quite dirty. My wife noticed that her slipper bottoms were filthy the next morning (thank goodness we had slippers). The bathroom was clean, the wifi was spotty (but we were warned about that when we checked in), and the flat screen TV had a good cable connection. We had a room that adjoined another room, and in the evening we could hear the next door occupants talking and watching TV through the adjoining door, but luckily they turned in at a decent hour. Would have been nice had there been a free breakfast included. We appreciated the fact that the motel takes dogs, as we were traveling with our mini-schnauzer.

The room was clean. But there was no refrigerator or microwave or coffe pot. We should have been informed when we made the reservation. We had food that needed to go in the refrigerator and a microwave to heat it up. Extremely disappointing. The heater in the barely worked and we informed the desk and had to ask for more blankets. They did not offer to fix the heater. Towels are roughest I have ever had to use. Very sad. Will not be returning to that motel next year for our vacation.

When we first arrived. There was an issue with checking in, right off the bat I was a little irritated and stressed because I just drove for 3 hours and had the reservations for over a month. Turns out all was okay. The front desk ladies were phenomenal and very welcoming after all. The room was wonderful, spacious, and very clean. The microwave was funky, maintenance came to fix it but we had no clue they came by because we thought it was still broken. Apparently you have to slam it. The view was breathtaking, the road was loud. After 5 cops in two days, a 4 month pregnant lady approached my aunt who informed her that she overdosed on cyanide earlier that day and had to leave in an ambulance (which we witnessed) I would rate it a 3 1/2 star but that's not a choice ;) I wouldn't day are stay wad half bad. At least the light was left on for us.

We could of stayed at Red Lion or the Mill Casino but I knew Motel 6 just remodeled one of the wings and convinced my crabbing buddies for use to stay at motel 6. I've stayed at this location before. It might night have a fridge or microwave but who really needs one when going to the coast? Next to everything. Free shuttle service to casino or you can get a cab ride anywhere for $7.00. They have a Hot Tub and suna on the property which is nice after a long day of pulling traps. Cost us 1/2 the price of staying at casino and Red Lion with much of the same perks. I would highly recommend staying here to any and all my friends and corporate clients.

I have ignored Motel 6 for years. That changed recently when I "batched" it and stayed at Motel 6 in Coos Bay, Oregon. The room was clean and quiet and parking was readily available. Best of all, it was half the price of where I normally stay.

My son and I were just looking for a place to sleep after a long day on a road trip when we spotted the Motel 6 Coos Bay. Staff at the desk was very helpful and friendly and the room and other accommodations were much nicer than expected while the price was less than we would have expected for the amenities that were available.

This is not a complaint but just information for other travelers that this motel did not supply shampoo, conditioner or facial tissue in the room, although a bar of soap was available, and that internet access was available for additional cost. This "pay for services used" policy is fine, since only the people who use it pay for it, and it probably helps keep the nightly cost down.

I'm so confused because my wife and I along with my family have always been loyal happy customers just recently stayed at motel 6 for almost 23 days alone in just this year 2017. Well about a week ago we wanted to stay with you motel 6 in coos bay Oregon for a couple of days more and to my shock, the manager said that she could only let us stay for 2 days because we were on the Do Not Rent list. She could not tell us why or for what reason we were put on this list. In fact we talked to several of your motel 6 employees and not if them could tell us why. Maybe you could email me back and let me know. We love staying at motel 6 and just want to understand why me and my family are no longer welcome. Best regards always. Thank you Ben Carothers and family.

The employees were very nice. The rooms were ok. The only complaint is that we reserved two rooms, the room with the fridge and microwave was more expensive but much smaller than the room that didn't have the fridge and microwave. They both were double queen beds so we assumed the rooms would be at least close in size and they were not. There was sand all over the floors in the rooms when we checked in so the floors hadn't been cleaned very well at all, we found hair all over the tub and sink so maybe they should do a more thorough cleaning. The first night we were kept up by noisy neighbors who thought it necessary to bang on the walls and even after calling the front desk at 1am to ask if they could have them quiet down since we needed to be up in the next few hours they continued to make a ton of noise. The beds were nice and comfy and clean, the TVs are wonderful, the spa and pool area were nice too and it was convenient to have vending machines close for snacks, we got extra towels and pillows and it was an over all comfortable stay especially since my doggies got to stay free! Especially nice for someone who needs their pets with them! I'd stay again.

Was surprised at the cost of Motel 6 now. I Still appreciate your pet policy which is the main reason I choose the 6s, but was curious why the walk-in price was almost $10 more than the Motel 6 online site price had I booked online. No AARP Senior, AAA discounts disappointing.

This was our second stay at Motel 6 in Coos Bay, OR. The room was nice and clean but didn't have a couple of amenities that we were expecting.

No kleenex, no microwave, no refrigerator.

We were scheduled to stay two nights but cancelled the second night because I was in a lot of pain and just wanted to go home.

Thank you for being so understanding and being willing to reimburse the 2nd nights stay. I'm still waiting for that to show on my bank account but I have no doubt that it will happen.

I live in the town 20 miles from Coos Bay, my son and wife were visiting and since I do not have extra space, we decided to stay in Coos Bay for a small reunion of friends. We arrived early, about 10:30 a.m. and they had a room all ready, did not have to wait. The room was warm while the weather was cold out doors. The only thing we missed was a coffee pot in the room otherwise the room was very clean, with hard wood floors which made it that much more clean feeling.

We came to Motel 6 after being turned away from a local inn because "we look like we would smoke meth" (mind you none of us smoke anything). Motel 6 was far friendlier and appeared cleaner than the local inn, had more amenities, a better location, and was even cheaper.
I was surprised that we were met with such a cheap rate for such a great room as a walk-in, nonetheless on New Years Eve.

My boyfriend and I had never been to the Oregon coast line and this motel was the perfect distance from a few neat beaches and not to mention the casino shuttle that the motel provides for free was definitely a plus. The room was comfortable and very luxurious. Unfortunately the sauna would not work for some reason but the hot tub was nice

I love the the hardwood floors! The beds were very comfortable and the room was pretty clean. The walls of course are paper thin though! (Only drawback) I would recommend for anyone who wants a reasonably priced motel! Mom says "good coffee!!" And she is pretty picky!

The stay was very nice. I was greeted, treated kindly and with respect when I was greeted at the desk. The room was clean and nicely laid out. I did miss not having a microwave but everything else was very nice. The morning shower did have temperature changes ranging from frigid to roasting unexpectedly. That is one way to wake up rapidly.

Soap wrappers were behind the bathroom door and we didn't have any soap in the room. But for the money it's well worth staying here. Everything else was clean and tidy.

I had a wonderful stay at the Coos Bay Motel 6. The front desk person was incredibly helpful and made sure I got the room I requested. She was pleasant and fun to chat with, understood the importance of being in a larger room to accommodate my kitties and made me feel very comfortable. The room was spacious, clean, awesome shower and it was very quiet.

Great customer service! It would be nice if there was coffee pots in the room, and the wifi I paid for was super slow. I ended up not being able to use it after paying. But the room was great! Love the hardwood floors opposed to the nasty carpets most hotel rooms have.

This is easily one of the best Motel 6's I've ever stayed at. The beds were nice, rooms clean, and there was plenty of parking. The floors are laminate which is nice for a coastal location. Too often I've found motels near the coast have a damp mildew smell that gets in the carpet, but the laminate floors prevent that from happening. We had 12 people stay in six rooms and everyone commented on the cleanliness of the rooms and comfort of the beds. It worked great for us to commute to Bandon Dunes golf resort from here (20 minute drive).

Let me start off by saying that I never write reviews but I felt compelled to write one for this motel. As soon as my family and I arrived we were greeted with great customer service. The woman behind the counter ( I truley wish I could have gotten her name) was very friendly and courteous to me and my family of 7. The room was very well put together and very clean and other then the strong smell of cleaming supplies the room was great. Unfortunitely a motel cant always be aware of the guests that they have. Our neighbor was so loud and rude and kept waking my chimdren, husband and I up. We called down to the office and they tried to deal with it. after 1 am my husband made one more call do to our horrible neighbor and this time the room did get quiet. The next mourning to my husband went to check out and came back only to inform me that the wonderful lady in the office had given us a full refund apologizing for the other guest... something she did not have to do. It was nice knowing that our experiance was more important to her then the cost of the room. Because of her I am writing this review and be cause of her service I will definitely return.

Newly remodeled, nice rooms, cheap rates, decent parking. It's only a mile or two away from some of the stores and restaurants by the boardwalk.

My only problem? I got walked in on while using the bathroom. I was on my second day- I called the front desk to tell them I didn't need housekeeping. My door was locked, so I left the bathroom door open while I went to the bathroom. I hear the lock click, I look up- while on the toilet- and a woman comes into my room (housekeeping, I assume, she was dressed very casually). I say "UM?", as I'm in shock, and she laughs loudly at me and backs out, shutting the door. That was weird, and not professional in the slightest. Otherwise it was a decent place to stay.

It is a nice Motel, it's cute and cozy but could have used more items like a coffee pot, a microwave, and a fridge. The check in staff was really nice and the room was clean. It was missing a few towels but that wasn't anything we cared about that night. I would recommend.

Well not quite okay. No fridge, no microwave, no coffeemaker, pay extra for mediocre Internet. Lots of road noise. Decent price. I am a Motel 6 fan but I am ambivalent about this one.

Good place to crash. Clean rooms and pet friendly. Great hot tub. Very nice housekeeping staff. Cons hot tub in building by itself away from rooms, no blow dryer in room or any tissue.

This place is a great value! The staff at the front desk are always friendly and helpful. The remodeled rooms are comfortable, clean and very nice. They really go above and beyond to provide good service all around. Pretty amazing considering the the low cost.

They did cheap and they did it right. Bare bones motel experience. Place looks great. Cool minimalist design. No breakfast, pay for internet separately, no place to plug in devices next to bed. But if those things don't bother you, and you need a quiet place to sleep, look no further.
