Unfortunately we were there when there was a few hiccups but overall we had a good, quiet and relaxing stay. Just a short drive from Pismo Beach and no bad experiences besides the water heater being down for an hour or so but it was due to some type of required maintenance which is completely understandable 👌🏻 Luckily, it was back on quickly too.

I would say it is ok to stay at that location for a night. My main cause of dissatisfaction is a cleanliness of the room. Housekeeping is their weak spot!

Rooms were comfortable, however we realized the heater wasn't working. It was late in the evening so we asked for extra blankets. They happily gave us a different room for this evening. Definitely staying here when we visit Pismo next!

I was comfortable there in that room...the only thing that needed to be changed was the shower area, because the drain "cap" was loose and there could have been some danger there. The floor of the shower not being solid (chipped around the drain hole), and the fact that the drain cap was not attached to its rightful place made me a little bit nervous.

Meanwhile, I liked everything else about the room. Plenty of hangers; good TV reception, and a comfortable bed made the stay pleasant and worth the amount paid for the room. In my humble opinion, much better than an Air B&B.

The room was relatively clean, but was definitely the smallest hotel room we've ever stayed in (to include other Motel 6 locations). The room smelled strongly as if it was once a smoking room, and we could smell marijuana in the bathroom. We were thankful for decent satellite tv, and the bathroom (while incredibly small) was clean. There was no dresser/closet/rod for hanging clothes... for our purposes that was perfectly fine, but if someone was staying more than a day or two it may become an issue. Every staff member we talked to was kind, professional, and welcoming though. Parking was ample, and despite the hotel being very full we had no problem finding a space near where our room was located.

Very Clean Also Great Customer Service. Also Only 1mi From Beach Pier. I Would Definitely Stay Again. Checkout At 12 Is Also Great. Also Reasonable Rate.

Overall very nice straight forward room. Good size. Nice decor. Simple but pleasant. Price point slightly expensive for what it is. My biggest issue is the noise. Neighbors in other rooms making a lot of early morning noise. Suitcases rolling along the upstairs walkway. Thin windows. This was a Sunday morning and there was way too much ambient noise coming in from outside in general. Thin walls, thin windows. Noisy tenants. Housekeeping knocking on our door several times prior to check out time.

I enjoyed the remodeled room. It was nice and exceeded my expectations on cleanliness and physical appearance. I wish there were more lighting in the restroom as it was a bit of a challenge to do my makeup. I would also recommend they lower the heat setting on the water heater as to get a good water temperature in the shower requires more cold water than hot, and the colder the water the more less water pressure you get so showers took a while.

Great location, good staff. The flooring was very dirty i had to wash my feet before bed each time. The temperature is difficult to regulate and with a newborn i felt that was very important to me. Even with non smoking room the cigarette smell was very prominent as alot of guest smoke near by.

The things that stood out about this hotel were the friendly staff and the beautiful flowers around the building. It is a good value for the price.

The room was simple and adequate. We had everything we needed. We payed a little extra to have a refrigerator.

The thing that most bothered us was the shower. It was tiny and awkward. The water ran all over the floor no matter how hard we tried to prevent this.

The bathroom could use a bit better cleaning especially around the base beards. Also, the sidewalks could us a good power wash.

I have stayed at this motel 6 more times than I can count. I have always had an enjoyable experience there. This time was no different the employees are wonderful and the rooms are always cleaned spectacular. We will be returning 8n 2 weeks to stay again.

I stayed at the Pismo Beach Motel 6 on 4/26 and 4/27. The room was clean. Great location to all amenities, and minutes to the beach. The staff was friendly. Easy access, right off the 101 fwy. There was no bottle of shampoo, like they used to provide, but I always bring my own, anyway. This is my usual place to stay when I come to visit family in the area.
On 4/28 we stayed at the Morro Bay Motel 6. Once again, great access to the fwy. It was surprisingly quiet since our room faced away from the fwy. The room was clean, but there was no shampoo bottle. We have several electronic items to charge overnight, so we had to hunt for an electrical outlet. Finally found it when we moved the bedside table away from the wall. A single outlet (2 plugs) was exactly what we needed. We don't spend much time in the room, so it works great for us.

Perfect spot right off the highway. Couldn't have asked for anything better. Great value for the last minute traveler. Safe and convenient. Good service.

Whats to be expected from a motel 6. They updated the insides of the rooms probably about 5 yrs ago and u can tell they are probably trying to stretch that update for as long as they can. Maybe they need a better maintenance guy. Other than that its pretty well kept for motel 6

This is our go to motel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Our most recent stay here had a bit of an issue with the room door not wanting to open with the key cards or master key. The front desk attendant took care of the issue as quickly as possible. Helped move us to another room and compensated us for our troubles. We have always had a pleasant stay here.

This was one of our best vacations ever! The room was decent, nothing fancy but it was clean! They had us right by the pool like we asked online when booking, they are pet friendly and offer you bags to clean up after your pets, and the staff was really awesome. Anytime we needed anything, they were on it right away. They even got us checked into our room early and it was no issue. We had a great stay and we'll definitely be back again! Thanks Motel 6!

No "Do not disturb" sign was available in my room, no local phone book, local restaurant, entertainment or activity guides were available in my room. a mini fridge would have been nice. and a night stand by the bed would have been nice. I use a CPAP machine while I sleep, and had to put it on the floor by the bed, causing the hose to be to short for me to move or roll over to get comfortable. The pillows were to flat.

Motel 6 is bare-bones accommodations --- but it was clean, quiet, and safe. There was no blow-dryer, refrigerator or microwave in the room, but the bed was reasonably comfortable and the wall-mounted flat screen was big . They're pet friendly, yet I neither saw nor smelled any evidence of dogs having been in the room. I'm in a wheelchair, and the amenities of my Disabled Access room included sufficient space to maneuver my chair, raised toilet, lower sink/mirror, and a roll-in shower with hand-held shower head and a bench seat. Convenient to Freeway 101, tons of restaurants nearby, but a few minutes drive from the ocean.
At $106 per night for the hubs and I on a Saturday night, the room was better than places we've spent a LOT more on and we can spend all that cash elsewhere!

The room was what you would expect for the low price. Just think it could have been cleaner. A simple swiffer could have done a the trick at cleaning the floors to the floorboards but the maids failed to agree. Also should have made the bed 100% before letting the front office know the room was ready. Not a big deal about the bed as all it was missing was the top "blanket", but the cleaning of the floor is a basic necessity for hotels to do. Additionally since the walls are WAY too thin, you hear everything outside; from the dumb drunk people arriving to the hotel at 4am to every single car and animal outside.
Overall it is what you get for paying so cheaply. Even though my hubby and I only needed it for the one night, I doubt we'll book it again. We had little to no sleep from the noise and horrible mattress. I'd rather just not be cheap next time.

A lovely stay. We appreciate you guys being accommodating for our dog and allowing her to travel with us. The room is great, not complaining, but would love to see the addition of a blow dryer and ironing board

Stayed two nights: first night the room reeked of cigarette smoke as if someone was standing next to me. The lady was nice enough to give us another room per our request and while the room smelled better I must say the beds were not comfortable on either night. The next day we decided to give it one more try and to our surprise it had a lingering smell of smoke, but i was too tired to complain. Once again the bed was uncomfortable, there was dirt and sand on the floor, plus the pillows are pretty flat. I would recommend asking for extra. Presentation was nice enough, staff was nice, but just need to ensure those rooms are smoke free for those who despise breathing second hand smoke.

Did not know I had reserved a room as I always do for the past 8 years. As usually, no clean towles for three nights running, had to go to the office. Least there is better water pressure and hot water this time.
All other aspects of stay were fine.

Motel 6 was very nice. Checking in was fast and easy. Especially the front desk girl she was very helpful and kind. Rooms are very clean and comfortable.i would recommend and come back here again

The room was meticulously clean and pretty quiet, though small. This is one of my favorite Motel 6 properties because it is well run -- comfortable, functional, safe. The front desk staff are always warm, welcoming and helpful.
This time my room had 2 minor malfunctions that I reported when I left. That's never happened before. I imagine they already have been fixed.

Nice updated furnishings and hardwood floors. Beds were comfortable. Living area felt clean. Glad to have AC.
Bathroom walls needed to be wiped down. Other people’s hair on them - probably from blow drying hair. And other unidentified grossness on the bathroom walls. A simple wipe down with a Clorox wipe would do wonders. No maid service or beds made... That was surprising. Just towels left on the bed.

We stay in Pismo Beach all the time. This is the first time we stayed at this Motel 6. It was clean and I was very surprised the beds were very comfortable. The only thing I could suggest to them is when you ask for a non-smoking room it might be a good idea to not put you next to people that smoke. When we turn the air conditioning on our room smells like cigarettes. Also there was a ashtray on the nightstand. We figured out if we shut the air off the smell went away. We're not much of complainers so we just so just open the window. Overall I would stay again. You can't beat $100 for two beds in Pismo Beach!

No mini fridge. No coffee maker. No blow dryer. No microwave. We had to ask for a fridge and microwave.

We stayed there a week and the maid service never offered to clean our room, empty our trash, or give us fresh towels and toilet paper. Again we had to ask daily for those items.
There was trash on the ground that all staff walked by (paper, a toothbrush, a soda can). After five days I picked them up myself.

When we initially entered our room (our non-smoking room) there were a pack of cigarettes and a lighter left by the bed with an ashtray. Soooooo not sure what that was about.

The toilet and shower consistently had draining issues. We were just given a plunger...it would have been nice for staff to handle.

Asked for a weekly rate but that wasn't offered.

Beds were poor quality. NOT comfortable!

On the up side, staff was kind and engaging. And the room was clean. Pool was kept spotless. Parking is ample. We appreciated the minimalist modern feel of the room with linoleum flooring so you knew you were walking on clean floors.

The location was good. The room was clean, and there were 3 bath towels, but only one wash cloth and one hand towel. Next time I will ask if there is a tub or just a shower. Because I am short, if I take a shower my hair gets wet and there was no blow dryer and I forgot to bring a shower cap. It would have been nice if there was a mini fridge to keep my drinking water cold, but I guess Motel 6 doesn't have those either. And the light over the bed farthest from the door didn't work.

Location is good. It's near stores and places to eat. The room was clean but there was mold in shower and under sink. The shower head was too close to shower curtain, and shower curtain was too short. The result was the water would drip out. The Motel 6 was dog friendly and strips of grass near doors was helpful and appreciated.

There was hair in the bathroom as well as a dead roach in the showers addressed it with the staff they told us to talk to a man named David the next morning to receive a some kind of refund for the room. Went the next morning (the morning we were checking out) and David just so happened to have a family emergency and was not there. Staff told us that David would be there in the afternoon and would contact. He did not. We called later in the afternoon and was told David was at the bank and that he would contact us when he got back. Again he did not. Called again the next day and told by staff that David again stepped out of the office and would call us back. He did not. Called again a few hrs later and told again by staff that David stepped out and would contact us. It has been a week since our stay at Motel 6 and we still have yet to get a response from David and none of the other staff will help us.

great customer service. knocked a star only because it smelled of strong cigarettes. They did inform me that the last room available is a smoking room that I agreed to take because we were so tired. I just feel all rooms should be non smoking. Other than that I'd recommend to stay there and I'd stay there again. Great location, a street down from the outlets! Dennys with a discount next door. Easy freeway access.

The motel was in a perfect locations. Right off the freeway. Easy to fine. The only problem was the floor was dirty . You could feel it when u walked on it . It was not moped like in a .while.

It was great customer service. The only thing was the sheets were stained and didnt make me feel clean. Over all was great for last minute booking. Appreciate the accommodation made for me and my kids.

Customer service was great! The fact that my dogs could stay free was great! I would say the only thing I disliked was the small shower and the AC was not very effective had to leave it on all day so it'd be kind of cool at night! But overall good!

When we arrived at Motel 6 it was an hour before check in, and so we knew we'd have to wait. But when we went back at 3pm to check in, they said our room was still not ready and that they might have another room, but there would be no towels. We finally got into our room an hour after the check in time. This exact same thing happened when we stayed at this property exactly one year prior to this trip.

When we got into our room our fire alarm was beeping. We immediately notified housekeeping, but after an hour, nobody came to change the battery. So we took the fire alarm off the wall and took it to the office. They said they would return it, but never did during our three day visit. Finally, the occupants in the other room were up and making alot noise until 1am, and so it was hard to sleep. I didn't complain to the front desk, but if it would have continued past 1am, I would have.

On a positive note: the beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The location is great.

Got there early, they told us to come back at 3. Came after 3 and the room still wasn't ready. The man had an attitude, and gave us another room in front of the pool. House keeper ladies gave dirty looks when we came to the room. Lady next door was in a bad mood because her room wasn't ready either and so they gave her that room. Housekeepers gave her dirty looks and she started cussing them out, making a big scene and slamming one of them against the wall. The manager or owner came. They were screaming at each other and they told her the cops were coming and she was evicted. I came for vacation and it was very nerve racking, so we left the room for a few hours. Came back to go to sleep, because we had a long drive, and day, and were exhausted. Starting from about 730 some young kids were screaming and jumping in the pool over and over until almost 9pm. They seemed too young to be by their selves. The bath towels had hair balls in them, the cubbards the towels were in, were dirty and dusty inside. There was mildew all over the bathroom. And a baby cockroach kept lingering around the bathroom in the night. When we checked out, a young girl with a clip board passed me, I smiled and she looked away with a dirty look. The girls that work there are very rude. The older lady that checked me out was the only kind person there. I will definitely not stay at that hotel again when I go to Pismo Beach.

When we arrived around 10:45 to check in we couldn't because the rooms weren't cleaned yet. i understood we were a little early for check-in. The man at the counter took our information in order to make it quicker when being assigned a room. We were told to come back at 12:30 and we could get our room then. When we came back closer to 2 there was a woman at the counter who took 4 phone calls while we were in the midst of trying to get a room. the ones we were interested in still weren't cleaned. She got our reservation info mixed up with one of the calls she had taken which caused us to continue waiting. It took at least 20 min to get checked in even though all our info was in the system. We were assigned a room finally. When we entered we were greeted with an obviously unclean room. The bedspread was really dirty with stains and food crumbs. there were food crumbs on the table and chairs. There was hair on the chairs and in the ice bucket.. When i went to the front desk to let the woman know she informed me that the "manager" had cleaned that room. Then she told me the "manager" would be coming to see us. The tone of her voice was similar to being threatened to be called into the principal's office. As i passed the laundry room my curiosity had been peeked so i stopped to ask if the "manager"really cleaned rooms. A woman named Sandra asked what my problem was (with some attitude) and i said the gal at the front desk had said the "manager" had cleaned the room and i thought that was quite amazing. Sandra then said she had cleaned the room herself and was going to come up and see us and that she was the assistant manager of housekeeping. She came up full of a very negative/hostile attitude. She brought a young man named Hector with her and they both agreed they would not like to have to sleep in a bed that dirty. Hector was very concerned and professional and apologetic. Sandra maintained her ugly attitude. The next morning we had the good fortune to encounter Dave, the new manager. He listened to us, heard us and made the effort to make the end of our stay 100% better than it had been since having checked in. Hector and Dave get nothing but 5 star ratings, the rest not yet. There was also mold around the window frame. Yikes!

I paid $130 for the night and I felt it wasn't worth $130, maybe $50. The bed had sand in it, The bathroom floor flooded, And there was no soap or hair wash in the shower. My boyfriend and I hated the bed, since it wasn't clean and super uncomfortable. The only good thing was that the guy at check in was very nice and welcoming.

The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, the Linens fresh. The staff were polite. It was perfect. It's not a luxury hotel but it delivers what it promises. It was quiet too even though it was booked fall. I can't say I was that pleased with the price but it was a holiday weekend.

Bed comfortable, room was very clean! But I paid $129 + tax on line and when I left I saw sign was $59.99! What should I have done to get the $59.99 price? It was a Saturday night and I did have a dog. But 1 adult queen size seemed high.

When we checked in the women in the office were very nice and helpful.

We went to our room to unload and I immediately knew I was not staying in that room as soon as we walked in the smell of stale cigarettes was awful. It was supposed to a non-smoking room. Next, the coverlets on the beds were filthy. Both were covered in animal hair, one had a huge foot print on it as if it had been on the floor and walked on and the others was very tattered with very obvious repairs of about 10 or so holes. I immediately walked to the office and informed the staff of the situation. One of them followed me to the room to check out the situation. We were moved to the neighboring room which was significantly better, but again the coverlets were dirty (not as bad as the first room). The employee kindly took the coverlets off the beds to be laundered and offered to replace them, by as the weather was warm we didn't need them. When I went back to the office to switch the key cards out we were offered a small discount on the room for our trouble.

All personnel were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Great location to resturants and shopping, and convenient to beaches/domes. BUT, water was turned off in middle of my shower without notice - better communications would have prevented this bad experience.

An actual great night stay at the Motel 6. We checked in late and the night clerk was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and actually spacious but actually didn't have a mini fridge or a microwave; kind of a must for me. Overall a good night stay before I hit the beach!

The best part about Motel 6 is they allow dogs. Up to 2. With no size restrictions! I have an 85 lb fur baby that is my road dog! He goes everywhere with me! I have a hard time finding a decent hotel that allows a dog if of his size! At least with Motel 6 anywhere I go he is welcome! So when i take my quads to ride at Pismo dunes, Motel 6 Pismo is where we rest our rumps! Thanks!

I have spent 5 out of the last seven nights at Motel 6 in Pismo Beach California. The staff at this Motel 6 was much more professional and courteous than at any other in the area. All members of the night audit,every day I stayed there, were both warm and invitinviting. They treated me like a friend, while remaining very Adept at their work. Thank you Motel 6 crew.

This experience was fine. We've stayed at this exact motel many times. Our check in was much faster this time and we didn't have to wait to check in and come back, so that was nice. We brought our dogs with us and at one point we got a call at 11am telling us "your dogs have been barking since 7am" I was flustered with how rude the staff was, considering I slept in until 8:30 and there were 3 different adults in our room until 10am in which our dogs were NOT barking.
We also had people coming by our window and tapping on our window, which DID cause my dogs to bark, but they were corrected promptly.
I understand dogs barking is not a desired trait, but I felt pushed aside and put down by the hotel staff, KNOWING it wasn't my dogs that were the ones barking. (Intermittently a few times, but certainly not consistently for 4 hours- that's not only absurd but insulting). It was handled very poorly and left me very upset, so I do wish that had been handled much better.
Other than that, our room was *mostly* clean. I can't complain too much when you're housing free dogs and three adults, minutes from the beach for $60.

I have stayed at a few other Motel 6 locations and this was by far the best experience. If you're staying at Motel 6, you mostly care about the room. The prices are fairly standard, cheaper then a lot of the close-by locations. The room, however, was really clean. I have had bad experiences at other locations with dirty towels still in the room, filthy sinks and bathrooms, beds that smell and sheets that haven't been washed well if at all.

This location was great though. The room was nice and clean. The bathroom was huge and exceptionally clean. My stay was pleasant and I highly recommend this locaiton.

Some motel 6 locations violate California state law by photocopying California drivers' licenses - if you, the guest, comment or complain, the managers treat you in a rude and threatening manner. This Motel Six does the legal thing - scans the license without retaining any data - much more reassuring. (And if this one does that, why don't all of them do so?)

As far as location and value - this is a good Six. Very close to all the wonders of the Central Coast, and a rate affordable even for those of us on a small income. There were some minor room issues, but it was clean, the staff was friendly, and so this fit my needs well.

The Pismo Beach Motel 6 is on 4th St. fairly close to the beach and up high on a bluff, so it has a fair view. The rooms are nice with big screen TVs and they are fairly neat. This Motel 6 has a nice pool and is located close to Denny's and a large Shopping Center in case anything is needed. The staff was pleasant and very helpful in anything I needed. Overall I had a very pleasant experience.

Pleasant staff. Room clean and comfortable. Within walking distance to the Premium outlet mall and grocery store. The beach and pier is about a mile from the mall.

A room was available when i needed it, the guy at check in could have been more helpful in my opinion, but i was able to handle what i needed to on the website through my confirmation email (which was canceling an accidental booking for the next day; i had made the reservation after midnight thinking i made it for right then). I was tired, it was safe, reasonable and mostly clean. I'd stay again.

We have always stayed at Motel 6 in Pismo and Santa Maria. Staff is always willing to help anyway.. Our rooms have always been clean and they are dog friendly. If we need clean towels we just ask. We clean our own room because we do have our dog, which is a small dog. We feel for the price it is worth the stay.
We have always been able to get the rooms we request and no smoking. Only once did we get a non smoking room but the prior people did smoke in the room. The quest services worked to get us another room.

Best hotel in town if you're on a budget. It's very affordable and has nice clean rooms. Everything works and nothing was damaged. The showers are a little small if you're over 6' tall, but if you're only there for one night its no big deal. They have a clean pool and hot tub, and the Denny's in the same parkinglot gives 10% off you're meal if you stay at Motel 6!

I usually don't complain when I pay cheap price for a place that is so-so, but I felt that this motel didn't live up to par for the price I paid. First of all, I have to say that the service was perfect and the staff were incredibly kind. The biggest problems were the facilities of the room. Water from the shower leaked all over the bathroom even thought I tried my best to contain it with the flimsy shower curtain, you had to walk all the way back to the front desk twice to borrow and return a hair dryer if you need one, and the heater in my room was malfunctioning all night. It wasn't the worst nightmare, but some small fixes would probably make this place a much more pleasant stay for guests.

When getting a room at a Motel 6, you know what you're getting: a room with a bed and a bathroom, what more could you need? However, what I didn't know I was getting was the above and beyond customer service. When I got home from my stay (I live approx. 4 hours away), I realized that I had left my favorite pair of shoes in the room. I called and they said they found them and to call the next day to speak to the manager. The next day I did just this and without any stress or hassle, the manager sent the shoes to my house through priority mail. I just received the shoes A DAY LATER. The motel handled the fees on my own mistake and couldn't have provided better customer service. Thank you thank you thank, Motel 6. My day has been made.
