Good hôtel, very well located in Coconut Grove, the swimming pool is very nice to relax after a busy day in Miami. The rooms are spacious with a kitchen. Only negative point is the price of the parking (30$/day) because of the valet.

Very nice hotel. Stayed in a Junior suite which had a Full kitchen and w/d. Rooms very clean. All white with marble floors. Only color was in modern art and the sofa (blues). Can walk to the Fresh Market.

I was just here for an evening corporate event for a few hours. Didn't get to see anything other than the ground floor and the pool deck, but everything was great. The staff took great care of everyone and was very friendly. I didn't try the food but it looked great and I didn't hear any complaints. Bartenders did a wonderful job as well. The location of the hotel is great too. Near to plenty of things to do, eat, etc. I'd check out the rooms if I was in the area again.

Great hotel the room was surprisingly huge and the hotel overall was not crowded at all. Pool is a decent size restaurant is a little overpriced but not too crazy. The decor cleanliness appearance and smell of the hotel are amazing. It smells like love when you walk in the door. The only thing I didn't like was paying for parking with no other options.

If anyone is looking for great deals on hotels go to HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around...

Luxury at a great price. Staff is very helpful and polite. Nice water view of sailboat bay from a "deluxe" suite. The variety of shopping, restaurants, and entertainment within a few blocks is great. I enjoyed the gym and jacuzzi. The bar and reataurant in the lobby overlook the pool and garden. Service and food were very good and quick.

Great location! Cute old Florida hotel, across from Marinas; 2 block walk to downtown restaurants, bars, coffee shops, shops. S-L-O-W breakfasts, NOT included in price, can be served on charming side terrace with waterfall, & orchids growing on the trees. This all suites hotel can serve as a residence for a few days to a few months. Includes full kitchen, LR, bedroom, bathroom, balcony with TWO sliders onto balcony (some facing the Atlantic, some onto a garden). Washer & dryer included. Modest price. Needs some updating, but WHAT A DEAL! NOT a big sterile glamorous place. More authentic, funkier (in a good way). One of the best things about the hotel is Victoria at the front desk. Smart, efficient, helpful, beautiful, she will book your room, make dinner reservations, recommend places to go and things to do, AND tell you the truth when she doesn't know. This hotel has a checkered past. Check out the book about it: HOTEL SCARFACE. Then book your stay in this civilized little piece of Coconut Grove history, 20 minutes to Wynwood Walls, a few minutes more to the madness & glory of art deco South Beach, and even closer to Little Havana. The best place to stay for a first time trip to Miami. User friendly, international, welcoming to all.

The Mutiny was a good choice for my wedding party. The nicest part is that it was connected to my reception venue (the Womans Club of Coconut Grove). This made it easy for Grandparents to move back and forth between the venue and their hotel rooms. The rooms are spacious and include a kitchen. This made it easier for all the girls as we were getting ready. If you have some extra money to spend somewhere; this is where I would splurge. My Mom got a 2BR suite overlooking the marina. It was amazing.

It is very pretty on the surface at first glance. The lobby was pretty clean and the rooms were quite large. However, at second glance, room really wasn’t very clean, needed fresh paint, and the outlets were loose. It is clear they don’t keep up with maintenance in the rooms. Also, the shower is a big deep tub that is not easy to step in and out with ease. This morning I fell back into the tub, kind ticks me off.

Few destinations can boast a character as colorful and distinctive as Coconut Grove. In the heart of this tropical paradise of Miami is The Mutiny Hotel, a luxurious all-suite hotel near Coral Gables, close to the crystalline waters of Biscayne Bay. A brilliant display of coral contrasting against the intense blue sky of South Florida, the 12-story tower of the Mutiny epitomizes the style of South Florida, vibrant colors compliment sumptuous accommodations elegantly decorated in a modern and luxurious motif.

For a long time a playground for the elite, The Grove, as it is known to locals, is also a second home for many celebrities, artists and jetsetters. Its entertainment and shopping district reflects the quirky yet sophisticated nature of its residents where visitors can find everything from haute couture to haughty kitsch at the many CocoWalk stores, just a few steps from the door of The Mutiny Hotel.

Very friendly and very secure Hotel right across from the bay in Coconut Grove. Your room key is needed to access the elevators so it does give you a more secure feeling when staying.

Great place for short or long-term visits to Miami. The hotel is at a great location and within walking distance of shops and restaurants. The staff was really helpful and accommodating; we had an issue with our original room and the front desk went to great efforts to accommodate us in a different, and more modern room. Be aware that there are rooms that have been completely upgraded and some that still have, what I'm assuming, the original design, and furniture. I would definitely repeat my visit to the hotel in my next trip to Miami.

We only stayed for one night and found the hotel very satisfactory. The employees were very helpful. We stated on the 7th floor with a small view of the bay. Walking distance to the Coconut Grove restaurants. Only downer was the valet fee. $28 plus tax. Our car remained in the same space we left it in until the morning when were were checking out. It had been moved shortly before that. Just a nice way of grabbing a few bucks from the customers.

I stayed at the Mutiny with my boyfriend for 4 days and loved it. We planned it as a mini local getaway. The Hotel is right in front on the bay and the breeze in the morning is spectacular. We loved that we could cook our meals in a full kitchen. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Danny helped us with our bags and Gerelys was extremely nice and helpful (smile that lights up a room). Will come back for our next mini vacation.

We have stayed at the Mutiny 3 times and each time we were amazed by the helpful and friendly staff. The rooms/suites provide ample space and conveniences for an extended stay. Overall the rooms and decor are very nice. The bathrooms could use a bit of renovation or updating. The housekeeping staff are very lovely ladies and do a great job. Isaura at the front desk and the concierge Nelson have always been extremely helpful and knowledgeable and we appreciated at checkout Karel made sure our bill and parking charges were all accurate.

I am an Event Planner specializing in Coconut Grove, Coral Gables, South Miami and Pinecrest. I recently planned a Black Tie Wedding in Coconut Grove. The vast majority of guests were from out of town.
I worked with the Senior Sales Manager, Wendy Zane, last summer to secure large room block for this past January. Wendy was incredibly helpful, gave us great rates, and kept in close contact with me during the planning process.
All of the guests were thrilled with their accomdations! Not only were the rooms lovely, but very reasonably priced as well. All of the staff at The Mutiny went out of their way to make my guests feel welcomed. They were friendly, courteous and helpful. 5 stars!!!!

Nice hotel but always just a few things wrong like toilet does not flush properly and there's were two spickets marked hot water in the shower instead of one cold and one hot - - and they turned the abnormal way that you would think to shut off. The elevators were down for 2 days. They should spend a little bit of money to fix things right.

My recent stay at The Mutiny Hotel in South Miami: Upon arrival (around 9:30pm) the hotel seemed to be well kept. Nice lush landscaping, clean and kemp drive and walk areas and the valet was welcoming. Check-in was standard, with the exception of the slightly weird guests we encountered. But thats really where the typical hotel stay ended. The room had a weird feel to it, and we came to the agreement that it used to be a condo and was converted to a hotel (no big deal), except that they didn't fix much from the apartment conversation. The AC closet door was broken, base boards were chipped, had not been painted so they were scuffed up, and the were DIRTY... Gross actually. There were multiple hairs on the bathroom floor, including on the roll of toilet paper, and our BED!!! Which brings me to the bed.. This felt and sounded like an air mattress. Some of the pillow covers felt like plastic and the view was a very noisy parking garage. We were horribly tired and already unpacked at this point, so not really interested in even trying for a new room (which we'd discussed and figured the next room might even be worse, so we stayed), and then at about 10:30- when the restaurant was closed- our 2 free drink cards came. We fell asleep shortly after. In the morning we ordered room service- which was actually very tasty. However, the prices on the menu were cheaper then the prices on the the bill. Our bill was about $10 more than what we expected to pay based on the menu prices. So all in all it was a flop. We definitely will not stay there again. 2 stars because there were a few upsides to the stay.

You feel good when you walk into this Hotel. Its a very sharp, plush and comfortable hotel, its updated, spacious, clean,...and very clean (it doesn't smell funny). Service throughout hotel is impeccable....Swing shift Bartender is a little grumpy, but that's OK . Beds and Linens are great quality, Bathroom has space and quality fixtures. The one thing to note: Its not a "View Hotel" but the place makes up for it in everything else!

Room amenities and layout not consistent. No ice or vending machines. Just an OK hotel, was originally planned to be residential condos so each room is like an apartment with full kitchen etc.

Courtney Schleich

6

The room quality was not consistent after speaking with other guests. It was more of a condo feel than a hotel feel environment. Room quality varies. All the rooms were designed completely different, some much nicer than others. There were no vending or ice machines. Ice machine in room refrigerator did not work either. The bed was pretty comfortable luckily. The restaurant and pool seemed somewhat nice. Friendly staff!

Quite little hotel south of miami with a decent view (if you get the right room) of the ocean and the city

the rooms seem like apartments and not hotel rooms which gives a very homely feeling

the restaraunt is good and the service is friendly

Issues: older hotel that is unmaintained so it makes weird noises, the first people you speak to don't speak english in the slightest (valets), and some of things in the room the can not be put in a laundry machine have interesting stains about them

First driving up i knew we were in for a treat. Its in the shade under a bunch of palm trees. The valet staff are very nice and understanding. The bellhops are just as kind and even make you laugh! Walking inside, you are drenched in air condition, a relief from outside heat. The front desk staff are just as kind as the staff outside. They have many seats for relaxtion in the lobby, the resturant is small but clean and cozy. Outside, through the resturant, is the tropical oasis that is the pool. It may be small but is very clean and in a great location. The pool itself is directly in the sun while the seats are in the shade. There are many seating spots, my favorite the back seating table which is right next to a gorgeus water fall and small fresh water pool filled with fish. The bar inside the resturant, if you ask, will bring drinks and food out to you for your refreshment and enjoyment. I recommend the non-alcholic sweet tea. The elevators are clean and go fast. The rooms are very much worth the extra price. Spacious with very modern and clean bathrooms. The rooms are amazing and there are some very cozy robes for your comfort. Not in the comfort mood?? Get your workout in along with a relaxing cooldown in the sauna or steam room. When you have had your fill of everything the hotel offers, you can walk a quick 10 minuets downtown to shopping, food, and all everything you can think of. This hotel is worth it. Its as great a mix of causal and upscale as you can get.

P.s. they are not usually pet friendly, but if you have a "registered" service animal, they gladly accept them without any issues.

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was beautiful. WhatI loved the color of the exterior and the Amazon feel. What enjoyed usig the most was the sauna, steam room, pool, and Jacuzzi. There's a lot of restaurants in the area. But as a 20 something year old who would've wanted to party a little, this area ain't it. If you have a car, you can go to South Beach or Midtown and have a lot fun. I gave this place 4 stars because the WiFi wasn't free. $10
