We wish they would not allow people to place trash outside their doors or by trash cans. It's disgusting and attracts loud birds at 6 am!

Still needs a lot of work... The hurricane repairs are still ongoing. And Covid-19 isn't helping.

This place is amazing the location is beautiful and beach access is outstanding the staff are very helpful we stayed in 3 bedroom condo now the bad the conditions of the rooms are substandard at best faded paint doors that wont close cracks in the walls and lots and lots of lights switches yes that sound dumb to complain about but we spent almost hour trying to figure out what switch turned on the living room light the area is still under construction and looks to be that way for awhile we didn't get to go to the pool because of covid restrictions which I kinda feel like we should have gotten some kinda discount for that considering almost all of their services including maid service is not operating. I think we will give it another shot considering the current situation that is out of their control

So the lifeguards told we weren’t allowed to swim in the OPEN pool area. they told us to go swimming in the lap pool instead, we did. the head lifeguard kicked us out for no reason. even though before we were able to swim. the room is great but the lifeguards kind of ruined our fun and stay.

Even though they are still repairing from the hurricane, we had the best time! Condo was super clean. Balconies are huge and loved having a pool/ocean view. Staff was super friendly. Will definitely go back.

While they're still recovering from last year's hurricane, they are still providing a VERY enjoyable place to stay. My favorite part of the hotel, the pool, is as great as ever and the customer service is top-notch.

Great as always. Glad we can be here for their recovery process. They have come so far and I feel their customer service is amazing considering what they are going through. They make people feel so welcomed as if nothing horrendous has happened which is amazing. Thanks Port Royal for being the great place we love

We did have some issue getting a room when at arrival but staff helped us out and was able to get what we needed with some additional accommodations. The pool is amazing with quick access to the beach. The room was OK but the only that will be used for is sleeping. Can't wait to see what it will look like after they finish rebuilding due to the hurricane damage.

As of July 2018, Port Royal is still being repaired from the damage caused by Hurricane Harvey. There were many rooms that are not ready and check in was not smooth like it has been in the past. I wish I had been informed completely of the damage before booking the all inclusive. Plus no one knew exactly how the all inclusive worked when we arrived. It wasn't my best stay there but once it's back to normal I will definitely return.

The property is still recovering from damage caused by Hurricane Harvey last August. While some amenities are currently unavailable, and construction goes on during the day, the staff makes up for it by going above and beyond to help guests enjoy their stay. The beach is wonderful, and Port Aransas is just a couple of miles away.

I've always been a regular here. The entire family loves it. After Hurricane Harvey, not all units are open and there is still a ton of construction going on (June 2018), but management has brought in food trucks, made a temporary office, and they are going out of there way with customer service. Still a favorite with the family.

Great pools and rooms. On school field trip and it was OK but had to leave cause of folding after hurricane. But great condos.

Although the floors were unfinished, everything was fine. I understand that there was a hurricane and the room conditions were justified. I might stay at a later date in the future because overall, this was a good experience and I'd like to thank y'all.

I loved being at the Port Royal Ocean Resort. The pool and the beach were a lot of fun to hang out with my friends. It's certainly a place I would like to go back to.

Port Royal has been great in the past, but unfortunately the repairs from hurricane Harvey haven't been completed. My room had some nail strips laying on the ground, half the flooring was missing, and most appliances did not work. The pool was the best! Great condition. the rooms were not so great, but everything else was.

My room was destroyed because they had just started rebuilding it after the hurricane. There was a layer of white drywall dust on everything and it made the air toxic. I enjoyed the pool and the beach but the rooms need work.

7

The veiws of the ocean in its entirely was truly a sight to behold, but the outdoors was truly where Port Royal only shined for my visit. Due to recent events surrounding the Hurricane, many rooms were left "finished", these rooms had the amenities that you'd expect, but was certainly lacking. The rooms were livable but they weren't exactly welcoming. Hopefully the rooms will all be completely finished!

Great rental with lots of pool options; mediocre food services, and the poolside food stand miserably failed to open based on its posted hours of operation. Stayed here the week hurricane Harvey hit, so unsure of the condition now.

It is currently not open due to damage sustained from hurricane Harvey. I have been here several times before and it was wonderful. When it reopens I am sure it will be magnificent.

The pool area is unparalleled on the coast islands. There are multiple hot tubs, large separate children's pool , lap pool, multiple slides for toddlers to adults swim up bar and the rental cabanas some have TVs for important game watching!
Or...head to the beach - waves for riding or shells to collect! Waters lovely !
The rooms I have been in have beautiful views. I can either make my meals or walk to the on site restaurant.

Our family stays at Port Royal every summer for our beach getaway. We always rent a condo there, which has plenty of room and everything we need to cook our meals (besides food). The resort has an amazing 4 tier pool with several water slides, some for the older kids some for the younger. Theres easy access to the beach which has soft sand and warm water. If I had to come up with a complaint about the resource, the pool side drinks are a little watered down, but other than that we love this resort.

We are staying for 3 nights and for the price of this place, one would think it would be kept up better. A few of the pictures you don't see on the Resort web site. The only thing that was great was the pools. Again for the price, I could have stayed in a regular hotel that had a pool for cheaper.

Having a blast so far, one night into our stay! Amazing pool accommodations, and very comfortable rooms (if maybe a little dated), and cozy and reasonable restaurant. All the staff are wonderful and helpful. Only request would be to add a diaper changing table in the men's restroom of the lobby.

We went there for a large family vacation. Majority of our party had to wait for their rooms to be ready at check in (30 min-2 hours). Their cleaning services was so unorganized we only seen them once throughout 4 days to give us towels and toilet paper and the room wasn't clean when we arrived. Some of the rooms were decorated in themes and the place was beautiful. The pools were large and well maintained. The staff was really nice and helpful especially the guy on the beach renting out tents (Clay).

My wife and I visit here every summer. The rooms and the hotel seemed to be renovated a bit this year. We always have fun in there gigantic three ring pool. There is a bar on the outskirts of one of the pools. They have a restaurant on the third floor, though we've never been. There are a ton of food places around in Port Aransas and Corpus Christi. Lots of things to do in the area. The rooms here are more like small apartments. They provide dishes towels irons and everything else you'd need while you stay. There is no gym though.

3-bedroom condo was very nice, grill didn't open on time, service was not great. Pool area is very nice, but slide was frequently not staffed during "Open" hours. Great location. Sandcastle lessons on Saturday at the beach were great.

It may be better during the peak season and peak days. They seemed to be running a bare bones staff during the early part of the week. Pros: The location of the resort is nice. It has an entrance directly to the beach. The pool is very large and has a lot of nooks to sneak away so it doesn't seem all that crowded. The rooms are large and in the suite they each have a large amount of privacy. The kids pool and the splash pad are a good size and my 2 year old loved it. Cons: The cleaning crew didn't clean the room. There were crusty fingerprints all over the appliances, the counters were covered in dirt and other unknown substances, and they only wiped the top of the toilet seat and not under. Everything closes way too early and many things are only open on the weekends. Check the dates you are coming to see if the stuff you want to do is open.

Some rooms are really nice, some are outdated. There's a huge pool, but only a tiny little pool is heated. Prices at a little poolside store are outrageous. Overall pleasant place, but pretty loud late into the night. Great access to beach. I wouldn't be opposed to staying here again, but not sure what else is out there.

Port Royal has a true resort feel. On site restaurants, swim up bars, multiple pools, multiple hot tubs, multiple pool slides, tennis, beach volleyball and beach access. We've had a condo here for two years, and they continue to improve the property and maintain it well. Good spot! You won't find another place on Mustang Island with a pool like this.

Second time here. This place is always firing on all 8 cylinders! The service and maintenance is friendly and good. The condos are awesome and well equipped. There's all the cooking ware you need to make a gourmet meal. Also comfortable beds and plenty of bedding, free WiFi , parking usually right below or near your condo, and incredible year-round pools and activities. This place is good for single travelers, couples, families, or large groups.

As always out friends were awed by the comfort of a condo provides at hotel prices! Our 2 bedroom pool view room provided to perfect get away. Beach access just steps away gives anyone the freedom to roam, look for crabs or lounge around with a favorite book. A short drive to town for those that want to explore. Port Royal is a relaxing stop for any beach vacation.

Overall experience was great. Staff did not accommodate down free request... But quickly came and removed down pillows and replaced them. The condos seem hit or miss, we rented two condos. One was really nice and the other was pretty dated. Overall very pleased, pool is awesome and beach is 5min walk away.

This place is amazing! Servuce was top notch and room was spacious and very clean. This was the best time to stay here as there was very little people. We practically had all pools and hot tubs to ourselves. When we first got there, Charles helped us to our room and took all our luggage. This man needs a raise, he is astounding! My husband and I were very pleased with our stay and plan on making this a yearly trip from now on. Great place!!!

We went for the first time summer of 2013 and had a fantastic time! The apartment was very nice and clean and had everything we needed. The pool facilities were A+, with all the different areas for the kids to swim in. We loved the access to the ocean. They even have grills at one end of the compound that we used to cook our freshly caught fish.
I would recommend this place to anyone. We are planning to go back and stay longer next time. We stayed 3 days and it just wasn't enough.
