Jus stayed here!! Super clean, friendly and the restaurant is/was a great surprise. I didn't want to drive ant longer to go to dinner. Checked out the lounge/restaurant and was very impressed with the bartender and selection. Thought, well I'll give the food a try. WOW!!! Great!!

The Ramada Plaza Staff were So nice to the Carr Fire Evacuees. They Lowered the Prices on their rooms. They lowered the prices on the vending machines in the Motel for us. I seen several people with 5 dogs. So they were really taking care of the People who were evacuees from the Carr Fire. Thank You for being so helpful and Making such a horrible time a little better.

Great place to stay the night. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The rooms are neat and clean and well furnished with quality furniture. Currently the hotel is being renovated but they are keeping the work away from their customers so no one is disturbed. The breakfast is first rate, with eggs, sausage, waffles and fresh fruit and most of the trimmings.

This hotel was wonderful, and even though the entire place is undergoing renovations, I was never disturbed by sounds of construction. The staff were very pleasant and the free breakfast was actually better than I expected. The room looked as advertised and was clean upon check in, and the bed was more comfortable than what you would typically find in similarly priced hotels. I'm thoroughly satisfied with my stay, and will remember the Ramada on my next vacation.

Rooms outdated. I stayed 3 nights and construction was being done during the day time. One afternoon I came back to my room to rest and they were running something that sounded like a jack hammer just down the hall. Also due to the construction the parking was imconvenient. Very dissatisfied. Second Wyndham place I've stayed this year. Both very unsatisfactory. However the staff were great!

Booked through Expedia and had a king bed. Tried to give me a queen (which I was fine with, a bed is a bed and my wife wasn't staying with me) but it wouldn't let them. Manager handled the situation and ended up upgrading me to a suite and making sure I got a king size. Other than the unusually long check in process there weren't any other hiccups or issues. Friendly and polite staff, everyone was very helpful too.

Location is right off the freeway, room is decent and clean, service is pretty standard. Phone doesn't really have a directory so I went on their website to call the front desk for the WiFi password.

The room was clean, the air was on when i arrived, the fitness room was nice. BUT after working out i went to there bar and grill for dinner. I arrived a 630 and there was no one there i had to ask the front desk and a bartender came over and stared at me I had to ask to see a menu i ordered the only steak they had on the menu with broccoli and mashed potatoes and a Pepsi. I was the only one in the grill section which was separate from the bar section I asked if I could change the TV there and hes said he was unable to but he said he could change one in the bar area so I moved into their. He did put on the show I was wanting to watch. I received my food fairly quickly. I started to eat the steak and it tasted old not quite badd but at that point to where it is just about bad. Then I started to eat the broccoli and it tasted gross to there was a certain taste to it was not broccoli. The mashed potatoes were the only thing that was OK and they tasted like instant mashed potatoes. So another couple came in to the bar and the bartender got them drinks and started chit chat with them meanwhile I'm sitting here eating my horrible mill which I should have returned but I didn't I was starving and my drink is empty sitting there waiting waiting to see if he would notice if I said anything finely I had to say something in finely I received a refill. So finished my food even though I was Disgusting, The waiter knew I was done with my food. I mentioned different ways that I was ready for my check finely I had to spell it out for hi. that I was ready for my check. I don't think this place gets a lot of dinner guests.

Golly, loudest room doors ever - NO mechanism to slow them down at all. Doors slam so hard that our door AND window shook Everytime a nearby door closed. Earplugs highly recommended. Other than that it was comfortable, with fridge & microwave, and staff were nice.

This hotel is very nice. The amenities are nice and the staff was quite helpful. There was only one thing wrong with it. The bed felt like a lump of granite with a piece of plywood on-top to keep it level and a thin layer of cotton batting. I broke my back in the military and right now I can barely walk. Without a doubt it was singularly the worst bed I have ever slept on in America. I probably got all of 2 hours of sleep in the 10 hours I was trying to rest.

Loved how clean the rooms were. The toilet was kinda low. The beds were very comfortable, slept like a baby. Only problem was our view was of a brick wall like 3ft from our window.

We've stayed here several times, it's convenient, clean and quiet, but in the last year or so the prices have gone up $30 a night, while the place has deteriorated. We've had to ask for a different room because the refer didn't work, or wasn't there, or the microwave missing. We've also had to search for outlets to plug in the lights and in our last stay, there was no water in the shower. A horrible thing to discover when you're getting ready to go out. All in all, if you can afford it, just make sure you check the room thoroughly before you get too comfortable.

Update, 11/20/17 - peak season is over, the prices have come down some, and we were wrong about the shower. Apparently you have to pull out on the handle then turn hot and cold. Ours was just a little sticky, and there has always been plenty of hot water, not all hotels are good about that. The staff has been helpful and even gave us a discount when we came down for health reasons. They offered, made a huge difference for us. No place is perfect, we come here because we feel safe, have the amenities we want, and is moderately priced. Except maybe in the peak times, but welcome to Chico, college town USA.

This is a basic hotel. The rooms were clean enough, the area around the hotel is nice enough, quick and easy access to the freeway. The breakfast leaves something to be desired. The hotel is dated but overall a good stay. The staff was friendly, the beds were comfortable.

Ramada Plaza is a nice hotel that provides a great location for anything in Chico whether you are visiting DAY Chico, dining downtown, or visiting the surrounding parks. The rooms are cold, comfortable, and the service was wonderful. Nice staff with timely responses to any concerns.

I was very pleasantly surprised to find the location very convenient to the freeway. It was even better when I walked inside and found the public areas, pool, and my room sparkling clean. The desk staff were friendly, courteous, and remembered my name when I walked by later in the evening. The layout of the breakfast buffet needs improvement, but the food was good. This has become my place to stay in Chico.

Our AC went out at home so we were looking for somewhere to stay that we wouldn't die of heat. The air conditioning worked great, the pool was warm enough that it didn't shock our toddler when we got in, but cool enough that it cooled us down. Breakfast was wonderful. And the staff went out of their way when I came back to retrieve an item I left in the room when we checked out. Everyone was super friendly. (And they were very busy with it being orientation for the college so it would have been very easy for them to get stressed out)

The food at the bar was delicious, but otherwise the hotel was pretty hot and uncomfortable. The bathroom wall paper was peeling up from the walls. The hallways weren't air conditioned and the room AC took all night to cool the room.

Tiny bathroom with a door that wouldn't latch shut. Slow and creaky elevator that smells like hot grease. Hotel overbooked which forced me to have to switch rooms partly through the stay. They at least gave me two free drink tickets to try to compensate. One of the best BBQ burgers I've had at the in-house bar and restaurant.

The hotel is comfortable, but nothing special. If you're looking for a clean place with a few amenities, this is it. Breakfast is included. Although, my only gripe, not their fault, is that it's about a 10 minute drive into downtown Chico and a long walk.

Service at the front desk was adequate for coming in after 10pm. It took them longer than promised to bring up the rollaway bed than they had promised. Also, the A/C was incredibly noisy. I had to turn it off in the middle of the night. However, the establishment was otherwise just fine for an overnight stay.

I got there at about 11 o'clock at night comma they were very busy but they are also very accommodating to everyone in the lobby. It seems they cater to a lot of the college crowd. I was just there To deliver a lost luggage bag but in the few minutes I was there they were very kind.

Nice enough bar in hotel which is nice non smoking rooms smelt of smoke but all in all a nice place to stay nice pool. We got a very good deal not sure I would say it's worth what they wanted to charge without the deal. Close to the freeway and down town.

One of the best hotels I've stayed in at Chico. We stayed on a first floor room. My girlfriend and I had a king bed with two pillows each. I stayed at nearby hotels for separate events and my girlfriend and I had either a single pillow or had to share them. Spacious room with amenities and relaxing wallpaper. Very well kept, bathroom was clean and not cramped at all.

No shortage of parking all around the building. Didn't try out the bar but had we been staying longer I might have.

It was an all around excellent experience at this location. I'm pretty picky and particular with everything due to living out of a suitcase for so many years and honestly it's nice when nights go this well...
I arrived in town earlier than expected and they had no problem giving me the room. I believe it was around 1230 when I showed up. Just prior to this though, the young girl working the front desk showed great patience and professionalism with the customer in front of me. It was a guy who looked to be in his 50's I'd say and he had his whole travel bag dumped out on the counter. He did this before I walked in so I'm not sure the exact reason but I assume he was looking for his credit card. Apparently he was traveling a long distance on his mountain bike and crammed everything into one bag. Anyway, I watched him fumble through things for about 15 minutes all the while trying to talk to her about his adventures. But like I said, she kept a smile and stayed professional the whole time...
My check-in process was quick and painless as usual and to the room I went. It was extremely clean (just like the rest of what I had seen of the hotel) and everything worked perfectly. I believe I was in room 238 (standard king). The bed was comfy and the pillows ranged from soft to firm - just like every other Holiday Inn offers. The linens were soft as well. This location offers an in-house restaurant and a bar. I skipped the restaurant and went straight to the bar. I think it opens at 5pm which is convenient. I ordered dinner while in there (ribs, baked potato, green beans, Caesar salad) and it was surprisingly delicious. It was the special for the night so I think it was around $12. Get it if you can! Now as far as the bar itself, I can't really give it a fair rating because I was in there on a Friday night. Hotel lounges are best during the week. However, they offer a DJ at 8 or 9 but I only heard country music for the 2 hours I was in there. I would've preferred some rock n roll but to each their own. The bartender was a kid somewhere in his mid 20's I would guess. He was chipper and talkative. I'm a sports guy and he definitely knows his sports, so it was cool to chat with him much of the time. Oh, he's a Packer fan so he loses major cool points for that...
I think the restaurant opens up to the pool area but I didn't confirm that. My room overlooked the pool area though and it looked extremely well-kept. I'm sure they have some great times when the weather cooperates.
I can't speak on the quality of the tv channels or reception because I didn't turn it on. The internet, however, is pretty quick, so Netflix kept me busy the remainder of the night.
Overall I recommend this place to anybody traveling to or through Chico. However, if I have to find one thing to put on the "con" list, it's the toilet seat. It appeared brand new but won't stay up without holding it...and for a guy, well, you understand my issue.
