Warm, engaging staff who kept great poise through the inconveniences of the quarantine. Quick to remedy anything less than a satisfactory guest visit. Maintenence has severely restricted the pool and surrounding outdoor accoutrements for so long before this quarantine arrived, just as the hotel was re-opening the renovated pool and spa areas. Quite unlucky for guests and proprietors alike.

The motel is in a nice area. It's clean. But it really needs a good refurbishment because it's so old. Also, every time the A/C went on, the room smelled like cheese. It's okay for a stop over in Torrance.

I stayed at this hotels while attending a weekly conference and I was very satisfied with their awesome services. The rooms are modern, beds are very comfortable, the washrooms are very spacious and clean. They also have WiFi which was very fast. The staff are wonderful and a pleasure to deal with. Highly recommend!!

The rooms were well furnished and very nice! The pool was INCREDIBLE! Well lit, very clean, cozy temperature, and it went up to 8.5 ft deep. Staff was friendly and helpful, as well.

My king room was quite nice. Felt spacious, vaulted ceiling, balcony overlooking the pool, clean. Furniture felt a bit worn, but what do you expect from a cheap hotel room. George at the front desk was very friendly and helpful.

The room was nice. However my fridge didn't work, never went on so my left overs were ruined the next morning. I bed was comfortable but on a spring board it seemed so it sink and squeak loud when you start to sit or lay on it. But all and all a pleasent stay.

Excellent value hotel, helpful friendly staff.
Room was excellent, large and comfortable.
Very nice breakfast.
Was disappointed to find overcharge on credit card over a week later and took several phone calls and emails to get corrected.

Great location on PCH close to shopping and businesses. Except for not wanting to return our deposit of $50 cash because housekeeping erroneously smoking in the room (we're not smokers) the staff was nice and accommodating. The deposit was returned by the way. The great free breakfast smoothed things over. I would return and would recommend this place.

Had a great experience. Lobby is not open to guests at a certain time which is unfortunate. Free coffee tasted okay, maybe it was old. I don't really like the place that much, but it looks very nice. Great work!

If you look at the list of Los Angeles hotels and motels nearby, this is one of the least expensive. So you might expect something much worse. I have stayed here several times while visiting people in the area. One problem I had in the past was being near the smoking rooms. This most recent visit (this weekend) was particularly good. The room was spotless with a lot of amenities a cheaper location doesn't usually provide. The location of my room was away from the street and very quiet. Front desk people were super nice both checking in and out. I feel that people who are complaining don't know what's really out there in the market for this price.

No consideration was given to accommodate late check out.
Because of a wedding I was attending, I needed the room until 1:00 pm, but had to buy a second day. No more Ramada Inns for me.

Nice clean room, older bathroom balcony was nice the view was of the street and car dealership next door. For the price I would have expected more but it was a nice stay

Friendly staff, clean rooms, and ample parking. Don't expect a 5-star hotel experience, but it's great for the price/location.

Room was very nice and reasonably priced. The thing I really appreciated was that the floors were all hard surface and shiny clean!! Only thing missing was a microwave so I could fix myself a cup of tea.

8

This a very satisfactory motel, although the breakfast is somewhat limited. The rude, uncaring General Manager insists on parking her two year old Toyota, that still has dealer plates, in one of the two Registration parking slots directly in front of the office often forcing guests to park in the parking lot just to check in. Otherwise, the staff is very nice.

Don't expect much from it and you will be good to go. Beds were comfy and the AC worked. Didn't try the pool. Continental breakfast left much to be desired but again, set your expectations appropriately and you'll be fine.

Not a bad place. TVs are way smaller than they look on the pictures. The WiFi is pretty slow and kicks you off all the time, so prepare to use your data. But it does the job. The breakfast is weak at best.

Friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Hotel ia near a mall with lots of food options. There's also a drug store nearny for snacks and drinks if you need it.

Room was clean, only stayed one night. Parking lot is kind of small in space and actual size of the spaces. Bed was too soft for my liking but that's how most hotel beds are. 2 extra pillows in closet was a surprise.

They accidentally charged us three times for 3 other people's rooms even though we prepaid. We did get it sorted out though. The rooms were dingy with outside access. It's good if you're just passing through but the breakfast was also just not great. It's pretty cheep but if it's worth it? I don't know. :/

The rooms are nice, and the bed is very comfortable. The included fridge is small and freezes anything you put in. There is no microwave. Free self serve breakfast with a waffle machine. Plenty of parking, just make sure you put the orange slip in your window. The AC is quite efficient.

It was ok until I drove to my room and my key did not work. Then got new keys and again the same problem. The battery had to be replaced while my family and me waited as they drilled and unscrewed to fix the problem. The complex was clean and the man that helped was nice unlike the staff that received me. Another bad note was that there was no microwave but it did have a mini fridge. The complete experience turned this into a 3 star motel, could do better in hospitality.

9

Excellent hotel and great price.
Outside it looks a little bit too "1950's", but it's the charm. The rooms are modern, very comfortable.
My room had a balcony facing the swimming pool.
Everything looks well maintained and the cleaning is better than in many 5-star hotels I've been.
The only things that need to be taken care of, and I'm sure the hotel will take care of that in a snap are: The bathtub takes too long to drain (maybe partially clogged?), the phone in my room doesn't work (probably only the cord is defective) and the wifi requires typing the password constantly.
Both the front desk staff and the housekeeping ladies are extremely friendly and they do everything that is possible to make the guests feel like home.

The toiletries are excellent (I loved the lotion and the round soap bar). The massage shower is a plus you can't miss.

The swimming pool is sparkling clean, but unfortunately the weather didn't help too much, so I didn't try it, but I could see from my balcony that the jets in the hot tub are very strong and relaxing.

Other thing that i loved is the hot water in the bathtub?shower and sink. Different from other hotels, the hot water is really hot.

If you like coffee, don't forget to try the coffee maker in the room. It's so clean it looks new and the single cup pods are delicious!

Top notch low budget hotel! I initially reserved 2 nights only due to the negative reviews. I figured I can move to another hotel if I found the reviews were true. However, I ended up extending my stay for 2 more nights. I got a room with a king bed on the 2nd floor, with windows. Yes, it is basic but extremely clean which is high on my priorities. Bed linens were white and crisp. Towels were fluffy, not thin. My room was very quiet, no noises from outside or adjacent rooms. Connecting to internet took some doing to work but once connected, it was fast with no hitches. The front desk staff was efficient and professional. Impressive! I would stay here again.

The room I was put in "Room 240" shower did not work so I called the office but the line stayed but the whole time. I walk down to the office & the guy chilling reading a book with his feet kicked up. I told him about the shower so he gave me another room "Room241" & the sink was broke so I had to use the shower water to brush my teeth & so on.

I have stayed in a number of hotels from 3 stars and up. This was hands down the best hotel experience yet. Everything from the staff to the restaurant to the room was amazing. Enough to have me spend my time writing a review which I don't do often at all. The room was incredible.

All that can be said about the place, it's got the basics and a carb breakfast. Best part about it...Marlene, the morning desk lady.

For the price paid for the room, we were very impressed. Bathroom, linens, and room were all clean and smelled fresh.

Being so close to PCH, there is a bit of traffic noise, but nothing that impaired our sleep.

The Ramada in Torrance may become our regular stopping place when traveling through the south bay. We were very satisfied.

5

Nice clean rooms and facilities. Dont expect a 5 star treatment. Its just the basic continental breakfast kind where they open the dining hall and you serve your self with some drinks and food. For the price we paid for a one night stay could have been lower though. Other than that nothing much more to say about this hotel

Great location close to Palos Verdes. The room appeared recently renovated. Unfortunately, this hotel is very noisy. The cleaning staff is not very accommodating. One maid in particular left her cleaning cart in the middle of the hallway. When she saw me, she didn't bother moving it and continued her conversation with her friend. I had to move it myself.

I don't know about the others but I had a really good time here. Everything was clean and the room was spacious. The only problem I had is that in some rooms (I have been there twice) is that the sink is outside of the restroom. Combine this with a safe area, (I have seen 52 dollar inns in that area)

How a hotel should be! The room was impeccable and service was outstanding. For example, when I came to check in at about 4pm after hours and hours of delays at the Newark airport, my room wasn't quite ready. But instead of just apologizing, the front desk -- unprompted -- offered to bought me food and a drink at the bar while I waited for my room to be ready (which occurred about 10 minutes after I sat down). Granted, them comping food and drinks might not (in and of itself) seem like some grand gesture, but when they do it on their own volition and not as a result of complaining or some parade of horribles, it's impressive to me. Centrally located, this hotel is right near Michigan avenue, a bunch of restaurants and shops (Starbucks, LuLuLemon, Bloomingdales, Deepdish pizza joints, etc) and is definitely a great place to stay if you're visiting the Chi.
