The check in was smooth and easy. The front staff were friendly and professional. The room was clean. The mattress was comfortable. Breakfast was great. We have stayed at the towneplace suites across the street. I must say I prefer this marroit over that one. The 2 bedroom room here is more spacious and has a full size kitchen. It is definitely worth the extra if you are traveling with your family. I highly recommend this hotel They accept dogs

The hotel is really nice. It's got some buildings that aren't connected but all in the same location which gives it a really nice look. Service was great (someone we were staying with needed a steamer on short notice and the employees went out and found one that we could borrow). Overall a great experience

Great hotel. Nice location near BSU and downtown. Good restaurants within walking distance as well. Rooms are spacious and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. The fitness center was small but had a a variety of free weights, bike, elliptical, and treadmills. Coin laundry is $2 per cycle and they do have small load high efficiency machine if you have a preference for that. Parking is tight if you have a larger vehicle or are last to the lot, but there is a shuttle if you want to go car free.

Stayed here for one night and one day with husband on a business trip and our two kids (a three year old boy and 9 month old girl) & I enjoyed the breakfast and happy hour with snacks in the lobby, but we will be moving to the Marriott Town Suites nextdoor for the rest of the trip because our ”penthouse suite" is far from kid-friendly or safe. There are stairs outside to get up and down with the baby in the stroller, so I've been lugging her up and down them, attempting to make it work, but it doesn't feel safe at all. Then inside it's split level, so she's constantly trying to cruise up the stairs as a baby who can only get around by trench crawling. Then upstairs it's a loft bedroom and the bed is pushed up against a short wall that drops down a good 20' or more into the living room. My 3 year old son is really good about listening, but of course every time he leans to look over or gets up on the head of the bed, it about gives me a heart attack! We'll be here for about 10 more days and getting through the first day was rough enough that we're moving. There are some great amenities here, but if you have littles, this is probably not the place unless you're on the ground level.

I've stayed here twice this year and have been in building one each time which is located next to the sport bar. I have read some of the reviews and some of the complaints about noise however I did not experience any of that. This is a great location as it is easy access to the freeway and also in and out of Downtown. There are some great restaurants within walking distance and a lot more within a few minute drive. The staff is always friendly and attentive.

Stayed as a guest overnight. The rooms were nice and spacious with an upstairs bathroom and loft area with extra sleeping. We had 4 people staying the night and the accommodations were above adequate. Nice little kitchen and and living room area as well. I would recommend.

Close to everything. Very comfortable beds. Quiet just as promised. Maid service was great. Only very small complaint is the showers water pressure. It was a little low for my taste.

We got in super late around 2am and the shuttle driver was still quite friendly. I heard they had a fantastic dinner bar and they breakfast bar that we were able to get. It was one of the best I've had outside of 5 star hotels. I would absolutely stay again.

Awesome hotel. Unbelievable price. Super clean. We stayed in a penthouse split level. Our kids got a loft and we stayed in the master bedroom downstairs. There was a full kitchen and everything was clean and new! Would recommend this in a heartbeat. It was also significantly less expensive than the downtown hotels only 0.7 miles away. The night we arrived a local Mexican restaurant had laid out a spread for free and we all filled up for dinner. The next morning the complimentary breakfast was delicious. Near to all the attractions, easy parking too. Wholeheartedly recommend this hotel!

My day was okay. I might see her again, I might recommend it.
- Breakfast was the usual fare, except real plates and silverware were used during the week, paper and plastic on the weekend.
- water was hot quickly, good pressure, and the shower head works really well.
However two major things make me pause as to whether I would recommend her stay here again.
1. Both the upstairs and downstairs toilets were girly toilets. Small, round porcelain holes that are anatomically uncomfortable for a man. I understand the upstairs being so, since whoever built the place lacked the foresight to allow an additional 2 inches for a door to open into the bathroom. But to have the same thing downstairs, with plenty of room, really makes me question what this place was thinking.
2. The stench of cigarette smoke. It was barely noticeable sitting in front of the fireplace, but if you went up stairs near the popcorn ceiling, it became much more noticeable and all of the Linens, the towels, the bed sheets, everything stank of it. Surprisingly, the curtains did not. Which makes me think there was something in the wash of Linens.
Or, that they hadn't been changed out since the last smoker was in the place. I couldn't use any of the bathhouse downstairs, and found only one bath towel upstairs or the stench wasn't too bad. That is, that it didn't smell like a bar room after drying myself off.
- all of the appliances worked fine. Fireplace worked well. The fan in the living area had a slight tick tick tick of off balance but that could easily be fixed. The door lock was RFID, but was kind of wonky. Took several tries each time to have it unlock.
The pool was closed and covered. However there's an indoor pool at their neighboring hotel across the street.
- unfortunately I didn't have my computer so I couldn't tell you about the high-speed Wireless. Although it seems to work okay on my phone, it didn't work that well for others in our party. Even the " high-speed" for platinum members I was just okay.
- the TV was Dish Network, which didn't fuzz out too badly at this location. There were four to six channels, three or four of them HBO. Comedy, regular HBO, and some other cartoon or something. However, there was no listing of channels on the TV itself, so there is no way to know what would be playing when.

Everything was great! The free breakfast was fantastic. The room was comfortable. All of the furnishings look brand new and stylish. I will definitely stay again when attending events at Boise State because you cannot beat the location!

Stayed in the studio suite. Full sized kitchen, queen sized bed, decent sized bathroom. Very nice and comfortable room. Quiet area. Hotel makes you sign a form saying that they don't tolerate noise or parties and can be kicked out without warning if you violate that. Will definitely stay here again if I'm in the area.

Decent rooms with recent updates, however we were charged over twice the quoted price. A nice 3 star hotel, with 5 star pricing. Our one night stay was over $320, after being quoted for $140. Upon calling to check on the mistake, I was informed that there was nothing that could be done on their end at this time. Do not check out until your quoted price is seen on your bill.

Good value for the $. Clean room, though the building seemed a bit older and it was easy to hear through the walls and footsteps from outside.

6

They're updating and that's good. Service was consistently good.

I'm only deducting stars because the place is so old. I heard ever step made by the people above - not because they stomped; because the floor creaked.

Layout is okay: think studio apartment literally in a two story apartment complex. That's this.

Light switches are not all that conveniently located, but you can get used to it.

Close to the university, that's either a pro or a con, depending on your preferences.

I will reiterate, service was consistently good. Friendly, welcoming, helpful.

My favorite place to stay in Boise. It's undergoing renovation and will be finished in a couple of weeks. The rooms have been nicely updated, I can't wait to see the warehouse when it's finished.

I've been staying at this Residence Inn for over five years while visiting Boise State University (when my daughter was still in high school thru her GRADUATING May 6th of this year). I have always found it to be a great place to stay but over graduation weekend even more so. Apparently when I called months ago to make my reservations for graduation weekend I must have inadvertantly called the national number and ended up with a reservation at the OTHER Residence Inn in Boise. Needless to say there was a period of great stress while I tried to change the reservations. Tammy (the manager) was WONDERFUL at helping me navigate the Marriot policies with no extra charges. She put me in a great room right near the BBQ/outdoor patio area. We ended up reserving the grill after graduation and having a party right there! It was so convenient - all our daughters' friends came and we had a great time. THANK YOU to the staff (Krista and Irene and others) for being SO kind. You truly helped make our BSU graduation experience wonderful.

I have stayed at Marriott hotels all across the country and a few outside of the US and this is one of the best experiences I have had at a hotel. Their best feature is the staff. They are warm and welcoming when you check in and will help you with anything you need. I had never had such friendly and hospitable customer service like this at another hotel. The rooms are big and comfortable. All rooms are within close quarters of parking as well. The hotel offered a free breakfast as well as a dinner with alcoholic drinks (every once in a while they said they prepare it). Additionally, the shuttle service dropped us anywhere within 5 miles and the next morning we had to take a bus out of the Greyhound stop and the staff organized and paid for a cab to come pick us up. It was over the top and incredibly nice of the hotel to do so. If I am ever in Boise again, this is where I'll be staying!

Had a flood at my house and my insurance picked this hotel for the fact it was set up like a small apartment. It was very refreshing to arrive into a room that was so clean and fresh. All of the staff were incredible and very accommodating. Thank you so much for making my experience away from home so pleasant.

Absolutely great --- everytime !!
At least a couple of times a year we visit our daughters and grandkids who live in Boise, and have very active life styles.
We needed our private times, and discovered the Residence Inn 10 years ago by mistake --- I thought I booked us into a different hotel, and we were pleasantly surprised when we checked into the Residence Inn on Lusk Ave. We were upgraded to a suite, and have asked for the same one every year since then.
The wonderful bonus breakfast is always appealing, and the great dinnertime treat in the middle of the week is always a treat.
We wouldn't stay at any other hotel when we need our private time in Boise.

Large rooms with sitting area and a kitchen. Everything we needed. Continental Breakfast is BEST I have had at a hotel. Something different every morning. Sausage and hashbrowns, then bisquits and gravy. Thx for the happy employees too!
