It appeared they were under construction. The lobby was nicer but the room seemed smaller. We have been here before and always enjoyed the property and the good size rooms. The A/C leaked so the carpet by the window was wet. Too bad as it was new carpet. The perils of being open during construction. The bed was the best hotel bed I have ever slept on. We will come back.

Rooms have been noted as recently renovated and have a modern style. Complimentary breakfast is a plus. Rooms are relatively spacious with a section being the bed whole the other acts like a living room with a microwave and refrigerator. Several restaurants within walking and driving distance. Note that this hotel location is by the freeway. Parking can seem limited especially since renovation was still going on during this stay.

Very clean, unfortunately none of the rooms have kitchenette. The gentleman at the front desk was very accommodating and helpful. Had no issue canceling my reservations and helping me find a nearby hotel with kitchenette. Great customer service.

Stayed at this hotel for the location & price and can say it was worth the money. It served its purpose as far as being a great place to sleep and shower between our San Diego fun. However what really surprised me was the honesty of the staff at this Hotel. I left my wedding rings in the hotel bathroom when we were already in the state of Arizona and I frantically called the hotel when I realized they were missing and spoke to Heather. She checked, found them and called me within minutes! Sent them to me and I received them in 2 days from when I placed the call at no charge to me. People and businesses like this are hard to come by and I’m glad we chose this hotel. We will definitely be staying here in the future and this time I won’t forget my rings! 😂 thank you!

upon Arrival there were two employees behind the counter. The male employee seemed to be in the middle of something g on the computer and the female on the phone in what appeared to be a personal call. She said to the person “can you hold on, I have a guest, oh no, it’s okay it will just be a minute “. She rushed me through the process. I mentioned that I thought this was closer to UCSD and the gentlemen said that there might be something closer but she just handed me the key and said have a nice evening. I guess she didn’t want to be bothered. We went up to the room and found three utility carts in the hall way right in front of our door. We put our bags in the room and went to dinner. On the way out I mentioned it to the young lady at the counter and she said she would check. This was around 5 pm. When we returned at 8:30 they were still there We just worked around them to get in the door.

Shortly after our return I called down looking for tea bags and she brought some up fairly quickly which was quite nice. She did apologize for the carts and remarked that she didn’t realize they were right in front of our door (which is what I had said ).

I just felt that this was quite tacky and not what I expected. $180 for a one night stay is not a ton of money, but I did expect more

Pretty solid place. Two TV's make for a pretty good experience. Not blown away but a very solid time. :)

Very nice breakfast selection. Very high quality lollipops for free. My dad didn't want to leave and he travels all the time for work. He has been to every continent except Antarctica multiple times, so he knows a good hotel from a bad one. Idk abt the price tho

The location is excellent - lots of awesome restaurants within walking distance and a great jogging trail nearby. Stone Brewery only 15 minutes away. Rooms appear to have been updated recently and are very clean. Staff is extremely professional and has no problem handing out free water bottles and awarding upgrades. Will definitely book here in the future.

I was pleasantly surprised with the room we ended up with. It was on the first floor and it had a jaquzzi tub at the end of the room. It has high ceilings. The bed a little hard so if you prefer a soft bed you may want to ask the front desk about that. It's located in the same area as a gas station, Wendy's, Chili's, and a local Greek restaurant and a Starbucks. I would recommend this location

Good service. Great breakfast selection. The TV had some channels that didn't work, and the bedside table didn't have more than one outlet. Other than that it was a good hotel.

Great hotel, I often stay here while on business. They are renovating the lobby and rooms. Continental breakfast is great and value is nice too.

It's a solid place, kept clean and neat. Key personnel have been there for years, which speaks well for this Hotel. The lobby, and breakfast area remodel has just finished as of April 2018. The rooms remodeling is still ongoing as of my stay, but I was told this should be wrapped up in the next 30 to 60 days. Currently none of the remodeled rooms are available for guests.

The rooms are nice and spacious. Unfortunately while I was there they we're remodeling the breakfast area and bathrooms but I'm sure it will only make the place better.

Very loud construction going on during their renovation. There were lots of stains on the carpet, but besides that it was very clean and the staff was very attentive.

The staff was friendly and helpful, but the room had many stains on the carpet and suffered from construction noise early in the morning.

Convenient location with a Chili's and a Wendy's in the same Plaza. There is also a gas station on the other side. Wonderful hot breakfast, Jacuzzi, pool, and weight room. Helpful and courteous staff.

This hotel is conviently located off the I-15 and Scripps Poway road. I frequent it due to it's proximity to places to eat and and the good price it offers. The staff is always friendly and has the hotel has always been clean with comfortable beds.

An okay hotel in a good location in Scripps Ranch. They are really busy, and it shows in the rooms. They room decor and furniture were worn out. The bathtub was warped. When I took a shower, there is dip into the tub where most people must be standing to shower. The free breakfast was packed and they ran out of food and stopped serving food before the closing time. I would not recommend this place.

Beautiful place and location. Super friendly people. The receptionist was great, she's really helpful. The lady at breakfast was so friendly and helpful. Happy client here, will be back for sure.

Excellent service, clean rooms, and a decent breakfast. My only issue was that the sofa bed opens up all the way against the tv. It cuts of the kitchenette and desk area completely from the bedroom and bathroom. You have roll over or walk on the sofa bed to get from the front to the back of the room. Ridiculous design.

Staff were friendly and the room was comfortable. There was a bit of road noise but being next to the freeway it was expected. Breakfast is not good at this hotel.

Nice, clean rooms... Typical quality you expect from a Springhill. I think the breakfast options (again, normal) are limited and usually look for a different Marriott property with a bit nicer breakfast.

Awesome place, close to so much!! The staff is always friendly and takes great care of me! And it's cool that I can walk across the parking lot to Chili's, Yanni's, a gas/convenience store, and Wendy's!! How easier could it be?!

This place was overpriced for the value you get. We got a suite with a King Bed and a living room that had a fold-out couch. The room was too small to be able to get around the fold out bed once it was opened. The room had a musty smell to it. The king size bed was too hard. I felt like I was sleeping on top of a couple of blankets on the floor. The housekeeping did the bare minimum every day. It was hard to tell that they did anything except provide fresh towels. The two redeeming qualities for the hotel were an excellent complimentary breakfast with a helpful attendant (Maria), and the location was ideal for proximity to the meetings I needed to go to. We paid $250 a night to stay at this hotel, and I have had much better experiences in San Diego for less money. You don't always get what you pay for... We will not be staying here again.

Great Hotel for budget conscious travellers/have kids/families. Especially in this location of higher priced real estate. You'll find lower priced hotels, yet not one's that are without extra costs. (Resort fee, parking, etc)
They offer: free parking, no resort fee, free WiFi, AND complimentary breakfast.
The entire staff was very friendly and responsive.

Convenient location for highway access. Room was very quite for the distance to the highway so I could sleep well. Room was maintained in very good condition. Good options for breakfast as well.

My wife and I paid a decent rate for a suite with 1 bed and an extra area with a couch/bed for the kids. As I have often found with hotels, the bed was not very comfortable. But, overall, the stay has gone well.

Good hotel. Happened to be there for a wedding same weekend as a lacrosse tournament. Asked what time breakfast opened and was told 6:30....the place was full of lacrosse players already eating at 6:30, after I had waited to go downstairs until then. Not a deal breaker but somewhat annoying.

It's a hotel. I travel for work and stay in a lot of hotels, for the price this is a great hotel. Clean rooms, decent internet, good location. I've been staying here off and on for a few months. If you're looking for a budget friendly hotel with a free breakfast, this is the place!

We went For a pop Warner regional game in San Diego. This is by far the best hotel I have ever stayed at anywhere and I mean it. When we got there at the front desk reception was polite, kind, and very thorough....job well done. We got to our rooms and it was very clean, neat and comfortable to be in. In the morning we went down for the breakfast buffet and it was the best! I would definitely stay here again

Fairly clean and breakfast is about what you would expect. Fitness center is tiny. Could hear a loud conversation last night through the door connecting my room to the next. Price was right though.

The room was nice and the staff was friendly. There are plenty of place to eat at within walking distance. It's not to far from the Airport.

We had a good nights stay. The breakfast was decent and the staff was attentive. The rooms were clean.

Breakfast choices were limited (no fresh fruit). However, Maria, who is responsible for breakfast did all she could and with a smile on her face. The room was OK but the sofa bed was not. Also, the room electronic locks weren't working properly

Attended a party in the meeting room. Facilities were well maintained and it was easy to get to, right off the freeway.

Great hotel with friendly staff. I stay there at least once a month for work. I would not stay anywhere else.

The overall service is rather excellent. The rooms are clean and have small fridge units and a desk. Furthermore, the WiFi is truly free and reasonable fast—unless you need extra speed it should work for most folks. However, what kept me from rating this 5/5 was that there weren't a lot of open plugs near the bedstands, the bathroom lacked a vent fan, and the room phone didn't work right.

Quiet hotel with easy access to the freeway. Complementary breakfast was good. Decent lighting and plenty of outlets. Separate work area with good lighting and outlets. Front desk staff pleasant and efficient. Nice pool. Only one TV.

Clean well maintained rooms and a convenient location right by the highway. All rooms are suites so there is a lot of space, this hotel has a pretty contemporary feel as well. Also a ton of restaurants and shops near by if staying here for work or leisure.

Great hotel and service! AC units are a little loud though.

The location: right by the freeway...like right by the freeway. Near stores and restaurants, fast food as well as sit down. Not near any attractions, about 20 min to San Diego.
The rooms: clean, spacious with sitting area and kitchenette, though I feel kitchenette is a little strong for microwave, sink and tiny fridge. The two tv's are maybe five feet from each other (no wall) so there can be dueling programming and one upmanship on the volume.
Pool: size of a very large hot tub. Kids still had a ton of fun. Towel rack was always empty so bring some from your room.
Breakfast: Free! Really good selectionfor this kind of deal. Stake out the waffle maker early, it's the star attraction. Plenty of tables for big groups(families).
Service: The few people we spoke with were very nice. Extra towels came quickly.

Clean, provide free breakfast, wifi, etc. People who works there seem friendly. Location is excellent as weel. Few nice resturant near by, walking distance!

The SpringHill suites is an excellent hotel to stay at. I have stay here for over 100 plus nights and each and everytime has been nothing but kudos to the staff and building itself.

Everything was clean, the people were nice, and I had a good night's sleep.

Rooms are quiet and very clean. Breakfast buffet offers everything you want and need. The staff is on hand and they keep replenishing the food items. Coffee is extremely good and very hot. Just the way we like it!

My son's wedding was last weekend. Our families and many friends stayed there, 40 or so in all. Our rooms were ready for early check-in. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and professional. They went above and beyond to make our stay very pleasant. The kitchen staff were the real rock stars. They not only kept up with the heavy flow of people, but kept the entire area clean and free of trash. I will definitely recommend your hotel to any and all. Thank you

Despite this hotel is like 16 miles from downtown San Diego it's a good affordable option for those visiting San Diego. The highway goes straight to the main area and it's an easy quick drive. The location is safe and the hotel and rooms are clean. The breakfast left us desiring more though
