The property, the location, and the rooms were wonderful. The staff was extremely friendly and kind, from the front desk, to the housekeeping crew, and managers. The restaurant was very flexible (appreciate this!) when work hours landed me in my room pretty late and they were about to close. Great place + great experience. Would love to return with my family on vacation.

Beautiful hotel in the best location, walk directly across the street to a Pearl Street entrance with access to many bars, restaurants and shopping. Amazing toiletries with a spa bathroom. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are always clean and bright!

This hotel is amazing. Located perfectly in Boulder. Walking distance to just about anything. The professionalism and courtesy of the staff was top notch. Jack, who checked us in was a huge help and willing to answer any questions we had. It was our anniversary, we were greeted with chocolates and a card from the staff. Room was spacious and very clean. Cocktails in the lounge before dinner were great, live music and the fireplace filled out the room. Would recommend to anyone. Will definitely be back!

The St. Julien is an excellent establishment. The staff is friendly and incredibly knowledgeable, the hotel grounds are beautiful, and the service is top-notch. As far as hotels in Boulder go, in my opinion, the St. Julien is at the top of the list. They have great live music, excellent outdoor patio area, excellent spa and pool, and a view of the Flatirons that can't be beat. The rooms are spacious and well-stocked to ensure that you have everything you need for your stay. Do yourself a favor and stay here!

This is a lovely downtown hotel with a very nice restaurant and bar area. I was in the restaurant for a late lunch with family from out of town. We lingered quite a long time following our meal and never were rushed to leave. Waiters continued to check in to accommodate any needs. We used valet parking for my mother's convenience. Very reasonable and efficient. I will look forward to returning to this lovely hotel for other gatherings.

My wife and I loved this hotel, we were able to book with points. All the staff were polite and professional. Loved the evening turn down service. Only issue I had was the mattress seemed to retain heat, so our second night we made sure the AC was cranked up. They had live music the nights we were there and it made the courtyard very festive.

There are not words for the experience at the St. Julien Spa. I have young kids at home and when asked what I want as a gift, I always say money toward a pedicure or massage at the St. Julien. The staff is friendly, knowledgable, and clearly well-versed in customer service. Their relaxation room is ABSURDLY peaceful with a beautiful array of chilled water, tea, and snacks. The hot tub/pool area is a great place to burn an hour before a treatment and a glass of wine is available on the back patio. What a lovely place to unwind with phenomenal service.

A high-end hotel with an excellent location and quality service. I was impressed with the concierge who even tried to work out a parking dispute with the city of Boulder and the staff at the front desk. The reason it does not get 5 stars is because the rooms are extremely small.

The small room also had two safes in it for some reason and no mini-fridge to store medicine that requires refrigeration for example. When a fridge was brought to the room it was huge and took up precious little space making the room even less comfortable than before.

In addition, the spa downstairs apparently allows their customers access to hotel amenities. The pool patio area was one day overtaken by a group of intoxicated spa customers which were extremely loud. If you are planning on using the pool patio to relax, you can forget it as the maintenance staff area is right next to it and you will be unable to get any peace and quiet time to yourself.

Overall it was a good experience but not a 5 star hotel, and not for the high-end prices demanded.

Definitely a must, if you're traveling solo, visiting friends, or on a couple's retreat! I had an incredible time!

Highly recommend checking out the spa. It has a wet sauna, dry sauna, jacuzzi, indoor swimming pool, and workout room. All toiletries are provided in the facility. You don't have to bring anything, but yourself. I was able to take advantage of all these things as I waited for a body scrub and hot oil scalp massage.

If you're looking to do this, request Jen! She is absolutely amazing! She knows how to rejuvenate the body and make you feel totally refreshed. I left a completely new person. Don't miss the opportunity!

I have stayed at the St. Julien frequently for work trips over the past year, and the service is friendly and accommodating. The hotel is warm and welcoming with a spacious lobby and outdoor seating area. The hotel food services are prompt and menu selection great. Rooms are clean, bright and modern. A home away from home.

I did not stay at the hotel but I attended a wedding on a Saturday night in June 2018. The passed hors d'oeuvres were extremely impressive. The staff was friendly and made very good cocktails. The courtyard was very nice for the cocktail hour and the ballroom held 250 for dinner.

For a hotel as highly rated (and pricey) as St Julien, I must say we were a bit disappointed.
First, the good: Check in was fast and efficient and we were able to check in early at about noon.
Bathroom was very pretty with lovely stone-tiled walls, floors and glass-door shower enclosure.
Location was great - Pearl Street just steps away in one direction and Boulder Creek path in the other.
Now the not-so-good:
In such an arid environment as Boulder in summer, no water pitcher/cooler in lobby to refresh guests upon arrival.
Fitness facility - sorely lacking. One weight machine, one bench and a rack of weights along with aerobic machines.
Spa and services were nice, but nothing to write home about. Not complaining at all - I enjoyed it, but nothing extraordinary that would make for a stand-out experience.
Now the coup de grace:
One of the reasons I enjoy a splurge at a nicer hotel, is the little extras that come with it; the special touches such as the gourmet treats, lovely toiletries, fine linens, etc, so when we left our room in the morning for a long day of hiking and adventure, I looked forward to coming back to a clean, fresh, restocked room. We arrived back at our door puzzled to see a DO Not Disturb sign there, which we had not placed. We then discovered our room hadn't been touched by housekeeping! I called the front desk immediately to report this and received an apology and an offer to send housekeeping up. At such a late hour, it seemed pointless, but I did request water bottles be sent up and was told they'd be delivered immediately. They never arrived. I called front desk again in the morning and was given another apology for the oversight regarding the lack of water (it seems the notes from the night before neglected to mention the fact the sign on the door was NOT placed there by us - which to me is key here - signaling that someone from housekeeping chose to hang that sign rather than service the room). Once that point was clarified, this second staff member said she'd refer it to a manager to see if "something might be done". No mention of what "something " might be, and a phone number or email was not taken to contact me. I feet we should have had some sort of restitution (other than two "So sorry"s), as a clean, re-stocked, made-up room is an essential part of a stay for us as hotel guests, especially when paying higher room rates. This was the one not-so-bright spot on an otherwise fantastic trip to beautiful Boulder.

I’ve traveled enough to know the difference between good and great. Good? Clean towels, fresh linens, a nice staff, decent restaurant and an inviting atmosphere.

Great? The St. Julien. Everyone who works there couldn’t be nicer or more knowledgeable about the property, where to eat, what to do etc... The hotel itself is perfectly executed from a design standpoint; the black and white marble stairway with brass railing pays homage to the grand hotels of past whilst dropping one into a modern but yet very cozy lobby.

The room itself was just splendid with its oversized bathroom and wide assortment of the type of bath products I use at home; not corporate but natural, this sets the tone for the approach of the entire property. Highly recommend this gem when staying in Boulder.

The St Julien is a wonderful luxury hotel right in the middle of downtown Boulder. It has modern amenities and looks recently renovated. The staff is fast, kind and helpful. It is within walking distance of a bunch of restaurants which is very convenient. I didn't get to try the Spa but there was quiet a few positive experiences from talking with other guests.

Really enjoy the hotel and the picturesque Flatirons room view. Love the amenities, especially the bathtub. Not a big fan of the large and lanky furnitures in the room though. Definitely needed more space to store clothes for longer stays. Jill's restaurant in the premise serves delicious breakfast.

As an absolute self proclaimed hotel expert, I have had the opportunity to review many hotels throughout the world. St. Julien is special, set up against the Flat Irons in downtown Boulder. Last time we stayed here, Kevin Costner was at the bar downstairs, as his son was graduating from CU and he was staying here. You will usually find someone famous staying here, as it's the only top notch hotel in Boulder. Rooms were great, always clean. Pool is awesome, nobody around when we were there. You do pay for quality, especially in Boulder. But to be expected, so if you can - stop by and have a drink in the bar, you may find yourself staying the night like we did.

Awesome. I have to say the service and the staff was PERFECT ! People are very attentive and take good care of you. Bedroom are good, bed comfortable, I loved the products they have in bathroom (mint scent).
The breakfast delivered on the room with newspaper was awesome, we had salmon bagel and muesli.
The only bad points would be about the lights in the room, very not practical and not enough.
Anyway, high quality hotel !

Located in downtown Boulder, it was easy to both find and to get out of to see the rest of the city. The staff were all incredibly professional and friendly. They had no trouble answering my questions about the area and about the check out process. The room was neat, and very well maintained, I particularly liked the bathtub and the complimentary bath salts! The lobby also had live music in the evenings and made for a very welcoming environment.

I visited the St. Julien for an all-day conference in the Xanadu Ballroom. The hotel is very nice. It has a big lobby with a high ceiling and a comfortable seating area to relax in next to the huge gas fire. The meeting facilities are nice, but nothing special. The food provided was very tasty and had several healthy options. I didn't get to see any rooms because I was not an overnight guest, but I imagine they are quite nice and wouldn't hesitate to stay here if I came in from out of town looking for something on the high end.

Awesome! Best customer service I have ever experienced. I had a flat tire, the valet gentleman put my spare on. Clean rooms, wonderful staff, great food, amazing customer service. Worth every penny.

I had such a great experience at this beautiful hotel in downtown Boulder. I live in Boulder and have gone to this hotel for dinner and music many times and finally tried the spa. What a beautiful spa! I had the hour massage and I felt so spoiled and pampered the whole time. The waiting area is really relaxing with flavored fruit spa water and light snacks and you can use their pool and spa before or after your service. They do not rush you out which makes for a very relaxing afternoon! I highly recommend the spa at St. Julien!

The hotel definitely makes a good first impression. The spa makes a good second impression. I was able to get a same date appointment, which I was very grateful for. The people at the spa were professional and seemed to enjoy their work. This place had a fun atmosphere. The pool could use sprucing. The food brought to the outdoor patio while, I was still in my robe, was delicious and hot.

Beautiful, close to good food/shops and community conscious! Love it!

Stayed at this hotel when I came to visit and absolutely loved it. Beautiful hotel, awesome spa (a bit pricey but worth it) and really close to the Pearl Street Mall which has tons of good food. The other day I volunteered at Harvest of Hope food pantry and was surprised to hear that the St Julien donates weekly. Safe to say, I'll be telling all my friends to stay here!

The hotel itself is very nicely furnished, the location and view of the mountains is absolutely gorgeous. The staff were some of the nicest I've ever encountered, always smiling, friendly, and helpful no matter what. And the food was absolutely exquisite with the most variety I've ever seen! It's been over a year that we eloped to Boulder, CO (on 1/4/16) and were fortunate enough to have booked the St. Julien. There is not one negative thing that I can say about this place...its simply fabulous! We LOVED staying here, everything from the room presentation, to the food from Jill's restaurant, to the shuttle service, to the wonderful staff; EVERY single thing was fantastic! It's the little details that get me, and on one of the days, when I needed a lint roller, the manager on duty sent up her own, personal lint roller to our room! Of course I replaced it with a brand new one but to go out of her way to accommodate me with her personal item? That alone deserves 5 stars! Thank you for an awesome stay, we hope to come back very soon!! 👌

My massage and manicure were great today, however the Spa Front Desk and Spa Manager on duty were disappointing. My friend made reservations for us for a girls getaway over a month ago. When she called a few days before our appointments to make sure we were good to go, she was told that everything was all set and that our manis/pedis would be right after our massages. However, they messed up our reservations and scheduled my manicure for over 2 hours after I was done with my massage. We then had to juggle our appointments to make it work for our schedules, but it still made me 2 hours late for my next commitment. The manager never apologized or tried to set things straight with any of us. Cindy the manicurist was great - she offered us drinks to make up for the miscommunication. However, all the front desk attendant would do was say, "Oh, sorry about that." The manager just walked by and didn't say a word as we checked out. Very disappointing customer service from the front desk attendant and manager considering the amount of money we spent.

What an incredible hotel. The Staff is really friendly and the rooms are very well appointed. Only downfall, if you wish to call it that, is the lobby bar closes very very early. 9/9:30. While that did not affect my stay, I thought it was quite odd.

The most wonderful getaway! Me and my husband went on one last getaway before our little baby gets here. We loved the spa & room service. I think we only had 2 meals outside of room service. Our suite was beautiful & super clean. The staff was wonderful and helpful. Not to mention, I left my $3k camera at the hotel and couldn't find it for over a month and a half. I called the hotel desperate to find it and they had kept it in their lost and found. Not only were they extremely helpful about keeping good notes on my camera, they shipped it back to me in 3 days with no extra charge. I am so thankful they have honest staff that turned in my camera when they very well could have kept it! We will 100% come back one day!

Sunday brunch here was very nice, but I thought it was a little overpriced for me. I can't eat that much, so a buffet is never a good deal for me. Bottomless mimosas and bloody marys help a lot though. The food was pretty good, though it suffered from the usual buffet problem of getting dry and a little overcooked after a short time. All the fruit was perfectly ripe and good though. Definitely a step above Country Buffet. The staff were extremely polite and helpful and although it took quite a while for someone to come after we were seated, they were fairly attentive after that. The dining space itself is extremely pleasant and even though it was full of people it didn't feel crowded or noisy. I think they do the buffet for cheaper on weekdays for lunch and I'd be happy to return and try it some other time, but I don't know that I'd personally do brunch again due to the relative lack of value for someone like me. If you could eat and drink a lot, it would probably be worthwhile though.

Right in the heart of downtown Boulder, minutes from walking trails and Pearl Street shopping, the St. Julien offers fantastic food, great service and a spa to die for. The spa carries fine natural beauty products. Weekend evening entertainment at the bar is a nice place to meet people and hear local bands, open to all. Again, the dinners are tops. I ate my first flower at the St. Julien and I liked it.

It's a nice luxury hotel in a great location in downtown Boulder. Nice people. Everything is expensive, but that sorta comes with the territory.

Good food but its mostly a nice place to meet people, I wouldn't eat dinner here but its nice if you want to grab a snack while sitting down with people

It's the staff that makes this hotel great. The building is attractive, rooms are comfortable and nicely appointed, and the food is very good. But, it is the ever-present, courteous and helpful staff that makes guests feel well-taken care of and welcome. Pricey, but if you are in town to enjoy all that Boulder has to offer, this is the place to stay.

Stayed there several times. One of the nicer hotels. Friendly staff, mostly very nice rooms.
