When the balsams was open my fiance and I had dined there a few times I enjoyed it immensely we are waiting desperately for it to reopen as I understand it will be one of the finest resorts in New Hampshire in the Northeast excellent golfing skiing will be available fine dining shops to purchase items that may be a necessity or just a gift shops I being one of the townspeople can't wait for it to reopen.

This historic place was stunning however it is now closed and in disrepair. There are no trespassing signs at entrance. The views are still astonishing!

Just riding on our motorcycle and came around a corner and there it was!!!! Amazingly Beautiful! The door man welcomed us in and it was a history lesson and a wonder, he told us of the restaurant at the top of the mountain at the golf course so we ate lunch on top of the world that day! Sorry there was no pictures of the golf course or ski area, we live in Florida and our son lives in Whitefield so I do hope to return some day to one of the most beautiful grand hotels we have visited in the USA! We are RVers

This resort is in the midst of a complete renaissance. The developers are selling units pre- construction right now. Offering a very new, creative time share option that is both fair and equitable for all parties.
This compound takes you back in time when life was simple and people were nicer to each other.
It appears that this is going to be very high end and simply spectacular.
Our family cannot wait for this newly designed and renovated property to open.
This will certainly be the most beautiful ski resort in the country.

Good resort, though currently burnt-out and in negotiations with folks to renovate. We were here just overlooking it on snowmobiles. very pretty.
