A nice location, but the building feels dated rather than quaint. I'll look forward to seeing the new Williams Inn next year.

The staff are lovely and though rooms need an update, the price and cleanliness make it worth while. Nice lobby area and bar as well!

Very nice room, staff incredibly helpful. Beautiful view, great location close to town. Mattress was one of the best I've slept on in a hotel by far!

Very pleasant staff, the food was really good and the location is spectacular. The hotel is a bit older though these days, and sometimes it can be a bit inconvenient (like the bathtub drain not sealing, hot tub out of order, only one elevator). However, if I need to stay in Williamstown again I would still probably go here.

Always a nice place to visit. The staff is friendly and the venue is classic New England. So nice.

Located in a lovely, quiet area in walking distance of Williams college, a small movie theater, and several local restaurants. The room was a nice size, quiet, had good temperature control, and had two surprisingly comfortable if somewhat small beds. The Inn has a very charming, cozy atmosphere and a unique decor that is a welcome departure from the cookie-cutter furnishings of most chain hotels. Staff was very friendly and attentive. We came back late one and were very thirsty, so the women at the front desk reopened the gift shop so we could grab a few drinks. Lastly, I was really pleased with the free daily breakfast buffet. It had a good range of food and drinks, kept fresh and replenished often, all served in a very comfortable and relaxing dining room. I really enjoyed my stay and hope I get a chance to visit the Inn again soon.

Clean but dated. Smacks of a 1970s holiday inn. Martha Washington bed covers over rolling mattress. Clean linens and nice pillows. Comfortable and clean. A request card for restraint on resources... But no low flow plumbing.
The walls are thin.
Breakfast buffet ok. Super friendly staff. Would give 3.5 stars for service.

Paper thin walls dog barking in the next room. Musky smell in hallways and lumpy beds. I felt like I was staying in a dorm. Such a shame looks as though it was a great place once upon a time. I would expect something much nicer for the area.

My boyfriend and I truly loved our stay at the Williams Inn. We were taking a one-day getaway, something we do semi-often to have a break from our hectic schedules, and it was also a present for his birthday which had passed about a week prior. We were greeted by a welcoming and professional staff on the way in. Steven was very kind with a rarely-seen motivation to correctly pronounce and spell my uncommon Dutch surname. Our room was superb(we stayed in a presidential suite in the newer wing of the hotel), and we enjoyed a cocktail in the tavern that evening with a great bartender(Virginia) who mixed an excellent drink! I mean really really fantastic, especially that gin martini. The crackling fireplace in the tavern made the atmosphere especially cozy. While it's true that the decor and facilities appear a bit dated, we had a lovely time for a very affordable price at the Williams Inn.

Was at the Williams in for a conference. I didn't stay as I am a medical student (read broke) and found cheaper lodging but the venue was great, the staff helpful, and the facilities clean and nice.

The high points: every employee with whom we came in contact was courteous warm and friendly. The grounds are beautifully kept. The lobby and dining room are both large open roomy and attractive. The breakfast is ample . The room was good size and clean. The problems: as I told the manager, and, to his credit, he took careful notes, the second sink provided outside the bathroom, has neither a towel rack nor a soap dish and the electrical outlet by that sink is not functioning. Closets shutout clutter. There is no closet. Instead as you enter the room there is a 10ft long shelf and a 10 ft long pole underneath it with six hangers. Thus all the Clutter that should be hidden away in a closet is visible from everywhere in the room. Additional challenges are that although two comfortable chairs on either side of the window are provided, there is only one floor lamp for reading. There are two beds which is nice, but only one night stand and one reading lamp between the two beds.

The roll a way bed collapsed the first time we used it. It was fine afterwards, though. The hotel isn't the best in the world, but it's okay. The breakfast is pretty good, especially the croissants.

The room we stayed in was quaint. The bathroom light had a timer and it was a bit of a hassal to keep turning it back on. It was comfortable. The breakfast was nothing special. Steal cut oats, fruit, plain and veggies eggs, croissant, pastry, bagles, and an assortment of juice, coffee and tea. Not a very kid friendly breakfast. The oats where cooked just right and the veggie eggs are fantastic. The bagles also tasted fresh. The staff are very friendly. The area is quiet and clean and a short (walking) distance from the college, shops and restaurants. I can't say I would "want" to stay there again but it is far from the worst.

The room was very comfortable and the service was good. The location is great since it is right by the college. However, the walls are thin and you can easily hear any noises from the hallway or neighboring rooms. This tends to make sleeping a bit difficult. The buffet breakfast was also a bit underwhelming.

The event I attended was a luncheon following my grandma's funeral service. The food (sandwiches, chips, pickles, and cookies) was all delicious and tastes like it was made in-house. The staff in attendance was very respectful and made sure everything was taken care of for us without being intrusive. Thank you for making that part of a difficult day so much easier for us so that we could visit with family and those who knew grandma and not have to worry about anything else.

Quaint inn, but dated in places. Not bad, but could use a little updating. I went to a wedding here and the wedding was great. I like the bar in the back dining room. I can't comment on the hotel rooms.

Quaint hotel. Staff is awesome, very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is provided until about 10am and it's delicious. For this particular weekend, they provided snacks throughout the day, including dessert options in the afternoon. Beds are a bit stiff, and the elevator is small. Overall it's quite a nice hotel and worth a stay.

Friendly front desk staff. Decor very very dated but clean. Wallpaper in bedroom showing many signs of age.
Room with handicapped accessible shower was so small a wheelchair would not have been able to manoever on either side of the bed, but could safely use the bathroom. The room was not near the elevator, another minus for an accessible room.
Dinner on Sunday night almost inedible - how can you ruin 2 grilled cheese sandwiches?
Breakfast on both mornings of stay was as advertised - expanded continental - and was adequate to start the day, but nothing special and not looking at all like the photo on the website.
I would hesitate to return here unless decor is updated. We have to spend a lot of time resting and the room was totally not conducive to doing that. Only one uncomfortable chair. No desk, mini fridge or microwave. Tiny coffee pot in room, did not see coffee/tea in lounge as advertised on website. WiFi in room.

Thank you very much for the excellent service. I left some items in the room and the staff was so helpful in finding those items and sending them to me in Philadelphia. The staff was pleasant for checking in and out as well. The room was clean, beds comfortable. The decor is floral and pastels, a 50's look, a little too busy for my taste and hence the 4 stars.
