When looking for an extended stay facility...there's no place better than the TownePlace Suites by Marriott Novi. I have had the pleasure of staying at this property on multiple occasions while in the Detroit area. The property is well maintained, the staff is extremely friendly, and courteous. However, I would like to single out the gregarious facility’s Operations Manager, Ms. Cassea Bear, time and time again she has taken time from her laborious schedule to ensure that the hotel's guests are completely satisfied with the services provided. On more than one occasion, I have either left items in my room and to my surprise the items were returned to me upon my arrival. Unfortunately, during one of my stays I experienced a medical issue which required me to be transported to a nearby medical facility, their response was amazing and their follow up was astonishing.

As we are aware, we all have choices when selecting somewhere to stay while away from home. Whenever, I am in the Detroit area...there's no where I would consider staying other than TownePlace. Thanks again, "Cassea" you deserve kudos!!!

We wished we were here more than 1 night. Full fridge, stove / oven, dishwasher... Great place to spend an extended time. Great location, Town Center in Novi.

A good hotel to stay at. I have stayed here during the week a few times but would like to stay for a weekend. Staff is always super friendly. Rooms are always clean and mostly up to date (they need to add charging technology for USB cables in their rooms for devices as mine didn't have it but I didn't lower my rating because I value service). I would also recommend an upgrade to the comin corridors soon. All things being said it's a nice place to stay and I would recommend it.

We stayed here for a week in a 2 bedroom suite. The staff was all SUPER friendly - including the cleaning crew and maintenance guy. Everyone was super nice. Further, this is the cleanest hotel I’ve ever been to. It’s not fancy or luxury, but it’s extremely clean. This is the only hotel I’ve ever seen that has the cleaning crew disinfect door handles and scrub the community grill.

The (outdoor) pool was ultra clean too, and handicapped accessible. There is also an outdoor shower at the pool area. There’s a community grill available, as well as a walking path around a pond behind the buildings.

Breakfast was good. The typical hotel breakfast these days - eggs, sausage, turkey sausage, pancakes, waffles, fruit, orange juice, coffee, that kinda thing. Nothing overly exciting but not bad either. In the breakfast room is a ramen maker, rice maker, and various seasonings for them.

There is a large list of things that can be borrowed from the hotel including various small cooking accessories/equipment. The kitchen comes fairly well equipped with plates, pots, pans, and silverware. The refrigerator was tiny but good enough for us for the week.

BIG TIME BILLING ISSUE! Retained my Credit Card info and charged me multiple times!!

This place was one of the only ones available during a busy Detroit visit. After another local hotel lost my reservation I booked & paid via the HotelTonight App.

The night manager was nice upon arrival and swiped my card for incidentals, but when I left my card was CHARGED IN FULL.

Again on August 3 my card was CHARGED IN FULL for ANOTHER night's stay! I was nowhere in the area!

Still awaiting a call from Management to rectify the issue.

Excellent Location and the room was great especially the kitchenette. Only downside was a few noisy guests.

It's a perfectly decent suite-style hotel. Very helpful & friendly front desk staff! They really made our visit better. The only things holding me back from 5 stars are: - Poor noise isolation from the halls into the rooms. Luckily with a living area this isn't too much of an issue, but folks conversing in the hall might as well be in the kitchenette of our suite. - The room decor feels a bit dated. Oddly it seems older than the exterior of the hotel itself. It's fine, just a lot of beige & maroon.

Room and hallway had a funky odor. Room didn’t feel clean, water in the shower didn’t remain hot for very long. Usually a fan of Towneplace but this one needs updating and maintenance.

Clean room, good breakfast, and a lot of amenities. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. The only less than perfect things were that the shower water did not keep temperature and a random 2:30am call disturbed my sleep (not the hotels fault). I will definitely stay there again.

Stayed here in an emergency situation with another group.
--- Room was very clean all round. The breakfast was good but was missing stuff later on. TV was small and facing away from the bed so could not really enjoy at night and no vending machines on floor or map to them.

I stayed at this location this past Sunday for mothers day with my family and it was not the best. The room was not properly cleaned. The floor had food crumbs on it near the bed. The table was so disgustingly sticky! There were dirty dishes in the cabinets. Out of the three drying towels that were hung in the bathroom one was visibly dirty with red stains on it. The bathroom sink looked as though there was dried vomit in it. The blanket for the pullout bed had yellow stains on it and smelled horrible! The pullout bed had wood chips sticking out. My son thought it was a needle because he was poked by it but i looked and realized it was wood. I had to call the front desk for extra towels and linen off my cell phone because either the line in the room did not work or they took the phones off the hook to call room to room. Each time I closed the oven door the broiler door fell down and almost hit my foot. I've stayed here before a few years back in a larger room and did not have any problems. I did not expect this staying in a smaller space that's easier to clean. I gave two stars because I know it can be better but this experience ESPECIALLY on mothers day was dreadful

When arriving it's hard to tell where the front desk is. They don't really have it labeled which building. I guessed and guessed correctly. Hotel room is ok. However I swear they didn't change out the foot towel one day because it seemed damp. Shower head sucks, little on the weak side, however if you spin it it changes settings but they are too narrow. The breakfast is okay, but if you're in another building so be ready to walk across the parking lot to get it. This could be annoying if it's raining or snowing. Another thing the breakfast area is tiny, I just ignored it the last two days. It's okay, I normally stay at the residence inn but they wanted too much a night because of a convention.

Stayed here with some family about 7 months ago for family reunion. Stayed in 2 bdrm suite. Nice and clean. Reminds you of a mini apt. Beds were not too comfy for me. Close to shops and restaurants. Had problems with the elevator when 1st arrive but management compensated us for the inconvenience. Didn't get to have the free breakfast offered. Will stay again if ever back in area.

The blankets were a little thin for the 4 degree weather, but once I got the curtains drawn and the heat cranked up, it was pretty cozy.

Every year we stay here while visting family and we love it! It's quiet, clean and the staff is most accommodating. Recently I had the pleasure of working with Chad and Jessica whose customer service was outstanding! Loved the breakfast too, so many options! Looking forward to another stay.

I stayed here for a work trip. When I arrived the front desk associate addressed me by my name. It felt more personal this way. The stay was fine, comfy bed and a clean room. Breakfast wasn't the best, but worked for a quick bite before getting to work.

Vessie helped us check in and went above and beyond in understanding and accommodating our needs. Also, Chad is very courteous and provided excellent customer-centric service. The rooms are surprisingly spacious, granite interiors, built in desk with shelving and a couch! Highly recommended!

Reading all the mixed reviews had me unsure if this would be a good place to stay. I was very pleased with our stay! The location is close to a lot of shopping, staff is friendly, rooms were nice & clean. My family & I will stay here again if ever in the area.

The hotel rooms are quite nice and the kitchen within have everything you need (utensils, stove, dishwasher, refrigerator and freezer). I can say the air conditioning blessedly just works unlike locations with the motion sensors that kick off at night (there are sensors. They are either off or finally function as they ought to for sleeping person's). My two dings here would be the doors seem very flimsy and are easy to hear through and the breakfast nook really is a quite tiny nook(though the food is fine)

As expensive as this hotel room was, I would've expected a bit more. It's average cleanliness, interior layout isn't great, and the rooms are somewhat small. If the prices were lower I would have given it four stars
