Stayed here once. It was okay. Room was nice with the brick wall. My Gf loves it.

This hotel was located in a perfect area as it was close to many restaurants, stores, and gas stations that were in walking distance. The rooms had very comfortable beds, were clean and were quite spacious. However, I was disappointed in their amenities as for instance, there was no hot tub or sauna, just a pool. Breakfast was okay, typical eggs, sausages and cereal but seemed like it needed to be replenished more frequently. We arrived for breakfast at 9:15 and there was no muffins, yogurt, fruit or pancakes which was very upsetting. Overall, it's a good hotel that is great value for it's price. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who just needs it to sleep a night or two.

Great location, right off of the 400 highway. All our interactions with staff were good. Rooms are kinda gloomy, and is in need up a bit of a decor update. No other real complaints though.

Great Deal for the hotel, very ideal if you want to go check out downtown as it's located in North Barrie. Rooms were clean and of good size. Would have given 5 stars if it didn't take 15 trys to open doors with the key cards!

Half decent stay. Two adults and two young children, one with special needs for one night.

The pool was great and was empty both times we went which was even better. Clean and the perfect temperature. However, getting down to the pool isn’t very accessible. Lots of stairs and doors that only open on one side (double doors but only one side pushes open) which meant having to squeeze through with children in our arms. We were exhausted by the time we got down to the pool and even more tired on our way back up.

The continental breakfast was good as well.

Some of the hallways smelt of cigarette smoke and/or marijuana smoke. It didn’t bother me that much because we were only smelling it briefly but I imagine someone with asthma or allergies may be severely affected by this.

Customer service at front desk was mediocre, nothing exceptional.

Your credit card (not Visa Debit or regular Debit) is preauthorized for the full stay amount and a $150 deposit upon arrival at the hotel.

That’s about it! About what I expected but hoped for a bit more.

Rooms were clean and had a sufficient amount of space. They have security patrolling the hallways at night, but they're pretty lenient. Continental Breakfast was adequate at best. Didn't have a chance to use the pool or other amenities.

Hotel has good location, it is just next to the highway entrance but the rooms are quiet. Well, the AC has some noise during the night. Rooms are little bit smelly and not very clean but for the price it is not too bad. Breakfast and the swimming pool are awesome.

My husband and I stayed here a few weeks ago and we really enjoyed our stay. It is close to a lot of stores and restaurants and the staff were very nice and friendly and our room was nice and clean we will be back for sure. The free breakfast was good! I really like the pancakes.

The AC unit in the room wasn't working right to the point it tripped the moisture sensor on my phone charging port. Breakfast was nice but no bacon, over cooked eggs by a long shot. Sausages were average. Beware of the cards not working if kept near anything according to the front desk.

It's a great location just off of the hwy 400. Close to all amenities driving or walking. Microwave and fridge in room was handy, also breakfast in the morning is included for no extra charge. Pets allowed and parking free.

Not bad just needed a bit of room maintenance. Shower curtain rod was dropping down a bit. The mini fridge was smaller than average and made it difficult to even fit a few beverages inside of it comfortably. Otherwise, had a good stay.

We stay in Barrie at least once a month while visiting our son at Georgian College...reception staff is always FANTASTIC, rates are very affordable. Rooms are clean. Hot continental breakfast...far better then most! Minor issue with 1 of the entrance doors..so what! This isn't the Four Seasons!! If that's what you're expecting for under $100...time for a reality check. We both work in the same industry and travel a lot. Wish there was a Travelodge in every city we visit.

Had a wonderful one night stay at this hotel during March Break 2018. The staff were were friendly and helpful. I requested a crib for my son, and it was in the room when we arrived. The heated pool was great, and it was nice to have towels available on the deck to use. The hot/cold breakfast offered a good variety. The room was clean, and glad it had both a fridge and microwave. We had a good night's sleep. Also love that the hotel is right beside the highway. The only thing I didn't like was the hallway by the pool had a strong smoke smell. We will definitely keep this hotel in mind next time we're here.

The room was clean and served it's purpose. Staff were nice and check in was easy. During booking a room with two queen beds was specified, but got two twins/doubles...a little tight for a couple on each bed. Breakfast was ok (coffee good, orange juice watery) with limited selection. Overall decent value for the amount paid.

The location is great, just off the highway and close to numerous restaurants (from fast food to fine dining) and shopping. The best part is they have a smoking wing (yes you read that right). The continental breakfast is one of the best I'v had as well. The pool is ok and there is no hot tub. Staff were very friendly and helpful, we had a issue with the door and they offered to move us or have maintenance fix it, we chose to stay and the maintenance guy showed up quickly and resolved the issue fast. I will definitely stay here again, they did mention that renovations were in the works and that would be the end of the smoking rooms :-(. Also pets are allowed, the neighboring room had two dogs (one large, one small), we hardly heard them at all, but when we did it was faint so you know the walls are well insulated.

My partner and I stayed here on a snowy, "any port in a storm", type night. Make no mistake this place is in need of a renovation, and you do smell stale smoke in places, but the value for money was good. The room had a fridge, microwave, and coffee pot. The sheets and towels were clean, smelling faintly of bleach. The room was clean and showed no signs of bedbugs. The staff was efficient and friendly enough. Apparently there is a pool in the basement, but we never made it there. The included complimentary continental breakfast was good and really helped us get back on the road efficiently. I would stay again if I was passing through.

We had to check in last minute due to bad weather. 4am and the front desk staff was wonderful and quick to get us in a room. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. Late check out at no cost. I also forgot an item after we checked out and they mailed it to me very quickly. For $89.00 you can't go wrong.

After a horrendous day of unscheduled events I needed a room for the night. From check-in to check-out and everything in between, including room cleanliness, professional staff, and a full hot and cold breakfast, this Travelodge earned all 5 stars. Even being 15 mins late for checking out wasn't a problem. Thank you Travelodge Barrie. Exactly as expected.

Had a great time. Water pressure sucked, but probably because we were in the furthest room from the front. Good news...they have smoking rooms! 😀
Places with smoking rooms should advertise them.

Such a nice hotel in a great street. People here are real helpful and courteous. I loved the stay and "Travelodge" will be the first hotel I'll be thinking of if I plan on staying at Bayfield again. 🖤

We host guests regularly here and the staff is always very helpful. The breakfast is quite good although if the hotel is full it is a bit of a wait. The rooms are nice. The property needs renovation but it is value for money. The location is excellent with restaurants within walking distance. Also many uber are easily available at this location.

For the price the stay was good. It was pet friendly, which was our biggest selling factor. Our rooms were clean overall and they had a good breakfast. The hotel is located right beside gas stations, restaurants, and shopping. The hallways smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, even in the non-smoking section. The hot tub was out of order. My husband booked so I did not deal with staff.

We were visiting Canada for the weekend and had brought our dog. This hotel was the least expensive dog friendly hotel in the area we were looking to stay in. As far as dog friendly hotels go this one was pretty nice for the price. Had we not brought our dog and had decided to stay here I would have been very disappointed in the quality of the rooms. The tub and sink clocked and filled with water fast and drained very slowly, the towel rack in the bathroom fell off the wall, the bed broke when I sat down on it, the halls and rooms in a non-smoking section smelled like smoke. For all of these things they charged too much.

Good location. We were attending a Motorcycle Training event at Georgian College. Unfortunately we stayed on a Friday night. Lots of partying going on in several rooms. Noise was not conducive to a good night's sleep. Breakfast was ok. I would stay again but not on a weekend when a good night's sleep is important.

For a one night stay, Travelodge was decently priced and had great rooms. Being pretty close to Dunlop street is a bonus and it's right across the road from bayfield mall. The one complaint I have is the lack of sheet/covers on the bed

Went to Travelodge because we were going to snowboard at snow valley. The place itself was nice enough, rooms were clean and had ample space. However the power tripped in our room and then our friend's room. Apparently too many things were plugged in and we couldn't use the microwave when that happened. If that was the case, they should have locked some outlets from being used. They provided continental breakfast which was good, but the food tasted a bit stale for me. There was a pool, however we never got the chance to try it.

Stayed here on whim one night during our travels. What a great choice it was! The staff were very nice. The room was great; spacious, clean. The location was fantastic; right near restaurants, highway, entertainment. All in all, we had a great time, and were very pleased with our stay.

Great location, right off the highway, close to malls and eateries. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were average size, but really need a renovation. Our double occupancy room only had 2 available outlets, none of which were anywhere near the beds. Beds were not comfortable. And the sheets felt like burlap. Complimentary breakfast was ok, though I did like the automatic pancake maker. Just push a button and they're ready in 2 minutes.

The room was very cute and cozy, the beds were comfortable, the bathroom was clean, and even though I missed breakfast I'm sure it was delicious. A very convenient location too since it's right on the highway. And I enjoyed the Christmas decorations.

4

Convenient location and a decent pool and hot tub. Otherwise this place is showing its age and use. Parking lot is a bit rough, carpets are getting worn and dings and scratches in the halls and on the walls. Breakfast is alright, but the car was broken into overnight. They have no security or cameras, so take your chances.

I just arrived back from a business trip and requested a dark, quiet room as I have a migraine.

I was given a peaceful room not attached to anyone else and it was nice and quiet throughtout the evening until 7am the following morning.

My partner, dog and myself were rudely awoken by Barrie Swat team breaking down a neighboring room and setting off flash bangs as if it were the war.

The fire alarm sounded, there was yelling and a ton of smoke and we were told to all is fine "just go back to your f***ing room".

I was not impresses by the lack of professionalism put forth by the law enforcement however once we had the chance to speak with hotel management our issues were resolved.

The manager immediately comped our room and provided us with a free stay with her very sincere apologies.

Overall our experience was wonderful and the situation was out of the control of the hotel staff. I would still recommend this hotel to friends and family due to its location, cleanliness and beautiful atmosphere.

The hotel is pet friendly which is hard to find, the breakfast is ready quickly for you you to grab and the staff nicely greet you upon entering and leaving.

My daughter, two grandchildren and I checked into the Travelodge on November 11. Cassandra was the woman at the front desk. I told her that we were in Barrie for a funeral the following day and asked for a late check out. It wasn't a problem in the least. She then said when we smelled freshly baked muffins later on, to pop by the front desk and she'd give us some. They were delicious. We used the pool in the morning and it was a perfect release for the kids. The hot breakfast was ample and served hot. An added plus was that the plates and cutlery were glass and not Styrofoam like in so many other hotels. When we checked out, two staff chased after us and gave me my GPS which I forgot in the room. The staff are incredible!
