Great experience! Nice breakfast, a nice pool, and a nice clean room. Short walking distance to the beach and Boardwalk.
We had a free late checkout today at 1pm (subject to availability), but could have extended it to 3 pm for just $25 if we needed to, which is a pretty good deal.
Originally, I booked the room for a previous week using their website. The rate was cheaper but non-refundable. We couldn't come due to some health reasons, I called to find out if they would allow to change dates and they did! We are very grateful for not losing our money and having a great time!

Very spacious we stayed on the third floor there’s a elevator if you have lots of luggage but not porter service. We had two large bedrooms with each a TV and vanity area. Clean well appointed room. Coffee and Tea with a small fridge and microwave. The bathroom was clean and a good size with the necessary amenities. Lovely fresh white towels. The pool was accessible and well maintained. We used the laundry room it was spotless and convenient (somewhat more pricey than the previous laundry in Mammoth) $2 a wash and $2 a dryer. The only let down was the breakfast maybe some more fruit as there was nothing left on our first morning. It will be lovely to have some cheese and maybe a protein like a egg or sausage as other motels in this price range offer. Family friendly and good location walking distance to all the attractions.

Decent motel near the wharf in Santa Cruz. Rooms are large and clean, the showers were spacious, although the pressure was a little low. We had a second floor room and you could hear every move the people upstairs made, hence I knocked a star off. Breakfast was included and was not bad. Toast and granola available as well as waffles.
I thought it was expensive for what you got, but the location was very good, hence the price!

Location is great right by the beach and very easy to find. Ice machines outside or older than our oldest guest. No elevator to get up to the third floor. Wife I was super slow. $600+ for two nights is not ideal for the quality.

They had a big shower and two shower heads so that was great. There wasn't a wide selection on the TVs but it was big so I was okay. the bathroom was very large that was nice. the bed was nice and firm. they had two hot tubs and a pool which was nice overall I would say my experience was positive it was a little more expensive than what we usually pay for a hotel in Santa Cruz but it was very close to the beach.

Nice clean room and super friendly staff. Beautiful walk to beach, boardwalk and lots of dining. Reasonably priced and the hot tub and pool were great places to relax. We will definitely return!

Loved it! We were staying at a hotel next door, but had to move because it was disgusting. This place was clean! And spacious enough to move around! Great location between downtown and boardwalk. Beds good. Plenty of grass for the dog (although pet fee was pricey). Parking on site.

We enjoyed our stay. The service was very nice and the people at the office were amazing. The only complaint was the doors did not have latches to stop the doors from opening when the lock didn't work so our 1 and a half year old was able to open the door outside. We were on the second floor. If you have young children, be safe and aware.

Stayed here for two nights and I must say our experience was a great one! We stayed in a nice room with a comfortable king size, clean bed, huge bathroom with a big shower! Very conveniently located with only about a five minute walk to the beach.
I personally did not see any bed bugs like some previous reviewers mentioned. I get bit by EVERYTHING so if there were bed bugs in our room, they would most certainly have found me and nibbled on me.
Staff was super friendly and welcoming. Will definitely stay here again!

We were happy with our room. Easy walking distance to the beach and Boardwalk. It was clean, everything worked and service was prompt. Breakfast included pasties, cereal, fruit, yogurt and you can make your own waffles. Tight parking spaces, but will come again.

Great place. Staff super-friendly and helpful. Room was nice, and clean. Good continental breakfast. Parking is somewhat tight but thankfully we were able to find spots. Will definitely come back next time in Santa Cruz!

Customer service was great, right next to the wharf. Was really clean and the beds were amazing... the only issue that we saw was that there wasn't enough parking for all the guests.

Nice room convenient to beach, wharf, and boardwalk. The only thing was no water pressure. But will definately be back.

Very, very nice! Service was outstanding. Room was nice and clean and welcoming with a lot of extras like an Iron and Board, a blowdryer, Coffee/Tea Maker and the beds were so comfortable that my friend I was with asked where they purchased them so she coukd get one, even the pillows and covers were extra special. In the Morning they had a Complimentary Brunch ready for us with just about anything you might want and more. Very Clean, Very Quiet and the Price was Right.

Nice room, very spacious. A little loud with the train owe by, but thankfully only went by once. Clean, dog friendly, but avoid the breakfast

This place is located within walking distance to the Boardwalk and downtown. The rooms were okay, nothing to complain about for the location and cost. (They appear to be remodeling the facilities.) They offer free breakfast. There is a Keurig in the room. There is a soccer field right across our room, so we were able to listen to the sounds of children laughing throughout the day ☺️ The girls in the front office were nice and accommodating and gave us room choices. The only complaint is that the walls are thin. I would say this is a perfect hotel for what you pay. Would definitely come back!

I have gone to ocean pacific lodge for twenty years now its location is so convenient to everything the wharf, boardwalk old town ect. The employees are all so very nice friendly people . The place is just very comfortable. I highly recommend for this to be the place to stay while visiting Santa Cruz.

A lovely place to stay and only minutes walk from the Santa Cruz Pier. The staff here are incredibly friendly and helpful and the rooms are delightfully decorated.

Though a little bit noisy I would suggest if you stay on the ground floor that you might want to use earplugs if you're a light sleeper, although our stay was still very pleasant and enjoyable.

There is plenty of parking right outside and it's free, they also have free wifi and there is an outdoor pool with two separate hot tubs.

Breakfast is included in your room rate and can be had in a room close to the pool from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m.. Breakfast options include croissants, toast, make your own waffles, cereal, fruit and yoghurt as well as hot coffee, tea and orange juice.

Check in is at 3 p.m. and Checkout is 11 a.m.

Location was very good, walking distance to both the beach and downtown. The staff was very friendly. The room was clean and met our basic needs. The air conditioning was noisy but they provide ear plugs.

We stayed in one of the king hot tub rooms on the 3rd floor. The room was amazing and the hot tub just what my sore muscles needed. We have a service animal, and they were super cool about that. I just had to sign a pet agreement, which is totally understandable, and of course they waived the $30/night pet fee. (Although this hotel is pet friendly, they only allow pets on the 1st floor.) The staff is super accommodating, and the hotel is quiet. It is very close to the beach, wharf, restaurants, and the surfing museum. They also have beach cruisers you can rent in the lobby for just $5/hr or $20 I for the while day. Overall we had a wonderful stay and I definitely recommend this hotel.

It's about a 10 to 15 min walk to the the boardwalk. Clean rooms. The pool is nice as well when you don't want to get all Sandy. Overall this was a great choice.

We love this place. This is our fifth summer in a row that we have stayed at Ocean Pacific. So clean, contemporary decorating and great pool and hot tubs. The pool is in an excellent location for afternoon sun where kids can swim into the evening. Location is fantastic to Boardwalk and beach. A real fine

We have been here several times. It is one of our favorite places to stay. Our kids love the pool and the Continental breakfast. It's fairly quiet and clean. The staff is very nice. Definitely will continue to stay here.

Everything was pleasant with the exception of two things. The lights coming in from the pool at night were way to bright. The sheets were pretty stiff and the pillow cases smelled liked chlorine. Other than that it's a great hotel. Close to the beach. Nice staff. I will stay there again.

Absolutely OK to stay at. Location is all, and being so close to the beach is awesome. Breakfast could be improved though, but rooms were spacious and clean. Bed was comfy.

Great location! Right between the wharf and shopping on pacific ave. Friendly staff, clean rooms, nice pool and hot tubs. Rooms are basic and walls are thin, but they enforce a very strict noise policy. Would totally stay here again.

Wow!! Amazing!! Great staff, and the rooms are extraordinary!! I love this place! And the beach is two blocks from me. The staff even brought us silver wear when we forgot to get it at the store when we offered to go down to get them they are the most respectful staff at a hotel that I have ever been at. Koodos to this amazing hotel :)

We stayed here for two nights in a room on the second floor. The noise from the guests above us was, at times, extremely loud, even past 10 pm. The side tables contained sets of ear plugs so I assumed this was a regular problem. If we stay here again, I will be sure to request a third floor room. Otherwise, our room was very clean, and all of the staff have been very curteous and professional. The heated pool and hot tubs were great. Breakfast was okay - mostly carbs and dairy. Would have liked to see fresher items like scrambled eggs and other hot items. The walk to the wharf was short, with the boardwalk close too.

Good location close to downtown and pretty close to the beach. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was nothing special. Only stayed one night.

We came and stayed 5 nights at this lodge. It was overall a great stay. Very close proximity to the warf and boardwalk, with in walking distance. The rooms were nice and clean and adequate enough for my family if four, along with an infant. Only down side is the parking. We stayed on week days and it was a challenge to find a spot. I can only imagine weekends.

My family and I are staying 3 nights at the Ocean Pacific Lodge. My sister and I have our own room and it is a large room with a nice aesthetic. The beds are not the most comfortable, but it isn't the worst. I love the floors and the power of the air conditioning. I can hear the upstairs neighbors and neighbors next to us pretty easily, which is a little annoying. But noise doesn't bother me much. I love the little kitchen area, we were provided with a mini fridge and microwave and anything we would need. The most annoying part of the hotel is the toilet. It doesn't flush well. You have to flush up to 3 times to actually get everything down the drain. But overall, I really like this hotel. I love the location, just a couple minutes to walk to the beach. I love it!

Great room, lack of carpet was cool, but the shower was so amazing and hit it just made the whole bathroom wet and dank. Everything else great, just impossible to stay dry after a duel head shower steams it up.

The hotel was clean and neat. It was walking distance from both the beach boardwalk and the downtown area. And the prices for each night were great. The breakfast can be a bit better though.

Pretty decent place. Clean and close to the wharf and within walking distance to downtown. Nice employees. One star off for WiFi not working for last 24 hours we were there.

Staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were cosy, unfortunately the pillows were like rocks. Otherwise came with the usual Gizmos (TV, coffee machine) and was comfortable enough. Was easy to find and access, appeared to be plenty of parking.

Would have given 5 stars but the key cards didn't work two nights in a row. I have stayed here three times now and it is a good hotel. The beds are nice, the rooms are clean, service is spot on for this type of place. 5 min walk to the Boardwalk and pier, and pretty close to downtown also. Really good location. Decent breakfast.

Fantastic jewel by the sea! This was not our usual hotel, but it will now be our favorite regular. Proximity! Such an easy walk to the wharf and Pacific Ave. We felt safe and comfortable. Our room was perfect! The pool was clean and fresh and the breakfast was just right. Thank you to the friendly staff members as well.

We got the suite that included the jacuzzi tub. The tub took a while to fill but was awesome once it was finished. Breakfast had a lot of options including making own waffles, which was cool! Hot tubs took a little long to heat up and jets were a little weak. Pool was good. Andbout room was spacious and comfy. Limited parking so be wary. Super close to board walk and beach. About a 2 min drive or 5 min bike ride.
