Star is quirky and unique, a little beat but with everything you need. Many lamps, so they read reviews. Clean and comfortable and more regular and premium TV stations than I have ever seen in my life.

This is a good budget hotel. It is easy to find. There's a grocery store across the street and gas station nearby for convenience. It isn't high class but it is clean and in good condition. Satellite tv and wifi provided free. First floor easy to access for handicapped guests. All external doors. Bathroom is barebones with no vent and sink in main bed area. I've stayed in much nicer places but the small size of this place is convenient compared to those.

Clean room, very friendly professional staff, very helpful staff with answering questions and such, room had what i needed for a good rate, bed was comfortable. Only thing I would have liked better was if there had been some sort of cover on the bed besides the sheet and the fancy top cover, which of course is just for looks and useless to actually "cover" up with. Overall i would say my experience was much better than i anticipated! TL:DR Above average experience for a below average cost! Would stay again!

Great place to stay, clean rooms, customer service excellent. I have stayed at many chain hotels, paid out of my butt for the room and some don’t compare to the cleanliness of this Star Motel. Completely recommend!!! Save your money, stay here you will not be disappointed!!

Fantastic place to stay! Myself and a friend stayed 4 nights here while hunting outside of Macomb. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean and appeared to have been recently remodeled. We stayed on the ground level in room 110. The room came with a mini-fridge and microwave. It also had Directv. There was plenty of room for 2 people and all of our gear. The owner made sure we had fresh towels everyday and was over-the-top nice every time we saw him. The motel is in a great location with plenty of eating options nearby. I have no complaints and would stay here again in a heartbeat. 100%

Stayed several weeks at the Star Motel while traveling for work. This motel is the best value I've found in a long time...especially after paying out the nose for a week at one of the other supposedly "nicer" hotels across town. While amenities are a little old, the rooms are CLEAN & QUIET. No black mold or bed bugs here! Manager is the most polite and helpful hotel manager I've ever met. TV is nice and DirectTV service. For the $, this motel is a great place to stay.

At first I was worried but I had a pleasant stay. Room clean. I check for bugs and found nothing. TV was nice with plenty of channels.

Great Stay and Great location.We stayed here as it is close WIU and also close to many shopping and restaurants.Our Room was Clean .Quiet at night.Nothing Fancy.We were happy as front desk person was Friendly and Accommodating. We would definitely return to this hotel for our next visit to town

It's a solid hotel for the price. You get a bed, a shower, a fridge, and a tv. Beds aren't too comfterable but it is cheap which is always nice.

It was a nice stay, we are from Chicago & traveling can get a bit overwhelming, all you want is rest in nice clean room & bed. Well, room was clean. Excellent WIFI. No bugs. Huge bed. Good service. Stores all around & food. University very closed to motel as well. Price was good too. Overall I recommend this place to stay.

Big, clean, comfortable rooms. Satellite TV, wifi, fridge, and microwave (no coffee maker, though). Affordable as well. Good deal!

Good location and good price.. But it needs better cleaning and an update. We had found some toys. and food next to the bed. We asked for non smoking and received a room that smelled like smoke through and through. No spray could get it out, so we endured it. The panels on the vanity were on the floor, and didn't stay up when I tried to push it back in place. There was also hair on the tub. Hot water took a good minute of constant running to obtain. But the people are amazing, which helped the stay.

The room was spotlessly clean, the bed was comfortable, there was plenty of hot water, a good TV with DirecTV programming, and excellent free wifi. And the price was excellent. I'd definitely stay here again.

I travel from Ohio to Macomb once a month to see my daughter at WIU. I stay at star motel every time being a mile from WIU. I love the room, and the people who run the place. They got Micro-Fridge in rooms and Nice TV service with lot of channels to watch .The owners are very friendly, they go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. I was very happy in staying here and and definitely would come back and stay again when we are in the area. I recommend this motel to anyone traveling in this area. Great location it is an older property but is being fairly well maintained The hotel is located across the street from a grocery store and easy access to great restaurants The motel doesn't look like much from the outside but the room was very clean and comfortable The price was very reasonable which makes this motel a great value
