Lovely place, nice staff, little bit tired in some of the rooms and could do with a refresh but overall vfm. Great view over Bay and sea. Picture is Hotel from other side of harbour.

I spent one week in this hotel with my friend and we truly enjoyed it! Clean and comfortable rooms, rich breakfast and very tasty dinners and very friendly staff! Really recommend it :-)

Large hotel with 5 floors and a roof terrace with bar, pool and stunning views of the bay.
Rooms are a decent size with TV, mini bar and air conditioning with a ceiling fan. Bathrooms are generally compact but have everything you need.
Breakfast is a help yourself buffet and an omelette station.
Prices are about average - there's a lot of competition.
Well worth a look

Fantastic hotel very clean and reasonably priced, staff always on hand to help with anything you require to make your holiday perfect, the package with Malta Direct sorted everything from flights, transfers to and from the hotel including the ferry over to Gozo

Great hotel for a stay in Marsalforn. Placed at the right hand side of the bay (coming from the land) it's a great hotel to base your stay from. A wide range of restaurants, bars, dive shops and sea are accessible from here. It has q great roof top pool for stylish and peaceful sunbathing. With a bar that serves snacks you can happily spend all day up there. The rooms are of a decent wide and we'll cleaned on a daily basis. The breakfast is either full english or continental, and it's q very wide range of continental as well. I'd recommend a bay view hotel. You could spend all day watching life unfold below you.

We went for a night there and it was amazing. Good accomodation and in a quiet place in Gozo where you can relax plus good food.

Our room at Hotel Calypso was very cosy and clean. The breakfast was great! Staff were friendly and helpful too. One tiny, negative thing was the TV: it's very old and few channels available. But overall, our stay was fantastic.

Large comfortable rooms and good food. The biggest hotel in town and in late March one of a few places fully open in Marsalforn. Good sea views, view to the citadel in Victoria (Rabat), statue of Christ and of surrounding green countryside again at this time of year.

It was a nice experience. We always choose this hotel when in Gozo. Good staff, clean, good food and quiet.

The Hotel is very close to the 15m long beach and has a fantastic view of the harbor. What I like most at the hotel itself is the service. Everybody is very friendly and do its best to make sure the guest feels good. The furniture and some corners of the hotel seem to be a little bit older and could be renewed, that's why I only give 3 Stars. The snacks and cocktails at the rooftop bar are excellent! As I said, there are some parts of the hotel, which are a little bit too old or run-down. For example, there could be a new shower head in the bath, the ventilator is very shaky, and the AC is very loud.

The location of the hotel is excellent! Would this be part of my review, I would give 4 Stars! There are tons of restaurants, bars, supermarkets and cafes around the hotel.

The Dinner at the rooftop bar is my favorite! You can have a great look at the harbor and the smaller villages around.

Fantastic food and fantastic service. Roof top BBQ on Saturday's is a must. Well done.

Family room with sea view was not so great. It was a twin room , which they stuck 2 put me up beds in next to the other two beds. Not much room left.

The sea facing rooms with views are worth paying extra. Some staff on reception were good helpfull and friendly some a bit abrupt and stern looking . Good clean hotel starting to look a bit tatty around the edges in places. Biggest annoying problem was that out of 11 days Wifi only worked 5 of them . Overall a nice place to stay and we had a lovely time. We will most likely return later in the year and give it another try . Recommended :)

It was a very enjoyable & comfortable stay. Very clean, modern, spacious & the sea/bay views from the balcony / roof were picture prefect.

Tea/coffee facilities were available in room however be sure to get some bottled water as tap water was slightly salty but this was great for bath & showers.

There were many breakfast options including fruits, cereals & some vegetarian options.

Room service is served by the same restaurant with good options and friendly service up to 10pm. The head waiter Lorenzo offered a memorable service as he was very friendly, welcoming & professional.

There wasn't really anything to complain about except that I'm not practiced in Italian so was difficult to pronounce some dishes on the menu but there were English descriptions..

Where were the introductory Italian lessons..? :-( Lol.

This is the second time I came to this hotel but I do not think there will be a third time. The standards definitely slipped. The breakfast was good but a number of flies present in the restaurant was too much.
The lift is small and in it there is a this very annoying sound coming out from the microphone in the lift.
The rooms are clean and spacious and the view is breath taking. The only thing if you book a double room be certain that you do not get to single beds moved next to each other like what happened to us.
The most annoying thing that happened in my stay here was that of having painting and maintainace jobs being done in the reception with the possibility that when I pass at the reception for something or to go out I might get paint on me. One of the doors in the main entrance was not working the whole stay. These works should have been done in a closed down period.

It is our second time here. Nicely located hotel, with good rooms and comfortable roof terrasse. Staff in the reception desk brings the score down, for the second time. They unfortunatly need a course in hospitality and the magic of a smile.

We had a wonderful stay at Calypsos. Very clean rooms, comfortable beds, we got a free upgrade to seaview. I guess we were just lucky. There must be different standards at the rooms i cannot explain the bad ratings some people are writing otherwise.
Breakfast offers a good variation of foods and also special diets as glutenfree or lactose free are no problem.
Considering we paid about a third of the price we would have paid for a 5 star hotel on the same island, this jotel is a bargain.
