The grounds and rooms are clean and inviting. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast in the atrium was marvelous. Remember to bring some cash for tips.

Four of us went there with a friend's groupon. It's lovely, nostalgic and a great place to visit with friends. We ordered four different things from the menu and agreed that the food was very good.

Surprisingly nice rooms, front desk man was very helpful with all our concerns. The 4:30AM wake up call wasn’t necessary. The breakfast was described as my wife as prison food. However for the price this is amazing value that’s why it gets 4 stars.

Reservation was messed up. Not by my fault but by one of their partners. Manager on duty rutted to help. After over an hour finally got room. One bartender was wonderful abs great attitude. ..Rachel. .. in morning lady with bright pink hair was fabulous. Beefs were comfortable.

No iron and ironing board. Couldn't see when I entered to room. No light switch by the door. When I found the light switch the lights did not come on. I had to stumble around until I found the lamp and switch. Limited TV stations and very fuzzy. Breakfast bar was wondderful. Bed was a was awesome. Be careful with the toilet it may rock when you sit down and get up.

It's a nice hotel. 4 stars because it's a little dated, but the breakfast buffet was really good (better selection than you'd expect, and an omelette bar as well) the pool was fine for the kids, and they we're out friendly. All in all it was comfortable and we'll worth the low price we paid to stay.

This fading beauty is more of a resort than a hotel with spacious suites, a large outdoor pool area, restaurant and fountains in the bright central courtyard. The included breakfast buffet was one of the best- with a nice mix of Hispanic and Western favourites, along with a fresh custom while-you-wait omelette station, all served in the bright airy inner courtyard. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The WiFi was a little spotty, but the staff were gracious and friendly. We even had a nice view of the mountains from our room. I would love to stay at this hotel again.

The rates are reasonable. Staff is friendly. There is a bar and restaurant here too which is always convenient. Parking is adequate and handicap parking is quite close.

Only real issue, at least in the room we have, is there is a rather strong air of dampness or mildew. Odd as this is in Tucson. The room is a ground level room and is partially below street level. This is probably something to keep in mind when staying in any hotel - my bad.

Hotel lobby is beautiful. Staff are friendly and helpful. Good price on room. Room was a suite and bed was very comfortable. The room could use some upgrading but was nice. I walked down to gym and pool area there is plenty of work out equipment and the pool area was very nice and clean. Next time to eat so I head over to the hotel bar and grill. I'm in luck its happy hour with free chips and salsa, veggies and some meatballs to die for and 1/2 price cocktails . Bartender very nice and can make an awesome bloody Mary. Time to check out. Probably the best hotel breakfast I've seen in a while.

Went here for my dads retirement party. He rented out a banquet hall and hired a company to cater the food. We were treated with respect. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room we rented out was spacious and clean. The party was great and i had a wonderful time. Its a beautiful hotel.

I would give this hotel 3.5 stars. It has not been updated probably since the 70"s. Rooms are kind of depressing, but I found them clean. I like the culture of the hotel - staff friendly. Lots of towels in room and pillows, and good soaps/shampoos, etc. Shower great water pressure. The restaurant ,although also dated, has really good food. Their free breakfast is great and includes an omelet station. They have a good happy hour too with a lot of free food.

I was not a guest at the hotel, but I had dinner at Wilbur's grill. The food was good but nothing special - I had a French dip. The restaurant itself left a lot to be desired in terms of atmosphere. There was only one server for about 10 tables.

Stayed one night for a party. The room was fantastic, had all the extras. Breakfast in the morning was good too.

Potentially a great place, but really needs to be updated. One example is they still have old style picture tube TV's. Breakfast is really good including eggs made to order. Check in was easy and quick.

Breakfast was great. Overall the hotel is ok. Staff was less than helpful, didn't seem to know how to smile. At all. Even though the rooms were not smoking. Our room still smelled like a smoking room.

The Viscount is very clean and has a wonderfully accommodating staff. The location is great and convenient. The rooms are large, but need to be updated. Much of the decor and appliances are from the 80's.

Great hotel most of the staff is extremely friendly and I say most because there was one guy at the front desk that had no customer service but anyways the rooms were nice and clean. The beds were comfortable and overall I really enjoyed my stay. I will definitely stay again.

Went with my family for Christmas dinner. Staff was polite, but because only the bartender was serving and there were more customers than expected, service was slow. However the overall experience was not negative, and our server did the best he could

My wife, aunt & I attended a multi-corporate Christmas party, at the Viscount, last night. The staff and the Hotel were amazing. A great time for all who attended.

Uncleaned rooms when we checked in, archaic technology, furniture that has never been updated (I imagine because of decades of low occupancy), and event staff booking everything causing the residency to be forced out of the hotel for services that are advertised. Uninformed staff allowing us to believe that laundry services are available only to find that I have to postpone my work schedule to find outside providers because it's the weekend?

WiFi: working in telecom I understand the systems in place. I couldn't load or send emails in the 21st century, let alone steam small videos on social media. Unacceptable.

I hate being this critical, but please get it together! I won't be back if I have any say. The Motel 6 would have been a better option for my money considering...

Seeing the hotel's occupancy while I was here, they can afford to update but choose to pinch pennies at the cost of the residency.

Have stayed several times, all have been mediocre. The rooms are spacious but outdated. The beds are comfortable, if you don't like pillowtops. There are little things like holes in the drywall and ripped buttons on the shower curtain that are common. On my most recent stay my crawling baby's hands and feet were black from the carpets. There was also a very strong smell, like they tried to cover up cigarette smoke, we ran the ac for 10hrs which helped a bit. I would never pay full price for this hotel but it's a good option via travel sites. The location is pretty good though, lots of stuff nearby.

It was awesome! In the room the sheets, pillows, counters, bathroom, the entire room smelled clean and fresh. Staff was great! Breakfast had a wide variety, hot and was maintained very well. Check it was at noon which made our stay even more relaxing without the pressure of having to wake up and rush to get out.
The rate for all of this was $83 for four people, not bad at all...

Great customer service! Proximity to U of A is a huge bonus. The free snacks in the evenjng and the breakfast buffet is a major plus. Room as indeed suites. You enter into a small living room and continue through a doorway to the bathroom and bedroom. The price is much lower than you would expect to pay for the room and amenities. The indoor huge atrium is grand and may even witness a wedding during your stay, as we did. The building is showing its age and the staff was in the process if renovating and repainting different areas. Outdoor pool and jacuzzi along with a small indoor gym is available. Rooms has cold air conditioning which was nice. Overall a great stay! Would return again and again.

I was there for a business conference. The conference room was excellent with a nice view outside. Most of those meeting rooms at other hotels are enclosed and stuffy. This was a big improvement. The lobby area of the hotel was also very nice with an open atrium area where the hotel rooms were. I'd highly recommend it for a business meeting.

Stayed 3 nights on the 2nd floor. Hotel is very old and needs remodeling desperately! Suite is large with separate rooms. Beds were comfortable, but the bathroom had a urine smell. Breakfast buffet was good! Overall, not a great hotel but not bad. I probably wouldn't stay here again.

The hotel is cute. I went to wilburs grill. The food was good. There was only one server doing everything so it took awhile.

I can't say what it's like to stay here, it looks a bit tattered. But that never mattered because I come here frequently, only for business meetings. For that purpose, it does the job. It has a dingy bar, and it's priced accordingly. The meeting rooms have no windows, so you have to find the sunlight in other people's faces. There is plenty of parking, which is a plus. The best entrance is off a side street (not roaring Broadway Blvd. on the front).

All the rooms are very dated. The cost was $103.00. Breakfast was great. From the outside it looks very nice.

Really enjoyed brief stay. Rooms clean and comfortable and breakfast was complimentary and beautifully done. Front desk staff professional, friendly and genuine.

Good food although that was overshadowed by the waitstaffs inability to keep up with tables in a timely manner and in particular the lady bartender on a weekday evening was extremely rude & unpleasant when asking for the waitress or the check so we could leave. Great musical acts, the atmosphere was nice.

Really bug suites, I loved the little living room at the entrance of the suite. The breakfast was good and the beds are amazing. Great hotel

Stayed here for a convention the past two nights. Super underestimated this place. Great food, great bar and great accommodations. Can't say enough, super staff, rooms and just a really enjoyable stay. Thank you. Will definitely be back.

I stayed here on business for two days. The hotel was booked for me, so I can't really offer a comparison on pricing or amenities. The exterior of the hotel is nice, and the atrium is pretty (albeit slightly dated). The rooms look partially refreshed with new fixtures and appliances. The bedroom TV was still an older CRT, while the common area was a flat panel LCD. The beds were slightly springy, but comfy. Hotel staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Would certainly stay here again on my next trip.

Visiting friends, went swimming, the pool area was not lit very well, also noticed some cracking in the tiles of the pool, also said it was heated but for me it was cold. The friends who were staying there ordered room service and for some reason it could not be added to the room, which was odd. We liked it, our friends not too much.

The Viscount is a great locally owned hotel in Tucson. It is a great value with nice suites, we stayed 4 nights to see family and friends. The room is large, the hotel has a nice pool and offers a really nice free breakfast. Also free parking and wifi. Located in the heart of the Eastside of the city. The staff is really friendly especially at breakfast and I like the layout of the hotel with a big foyer. Only downside is rooms are a little dated such as old TVs and bathroom fixtures.

I imagine in its heyday it was a great hotel but now it just feels gloomy. The colors are dull and depressing, the staff seem gloomy, there's little to no decoration. The suites are very large but- again- very boring. It's like an 80s horror movie.

Had a professional meeting in the conference room. The room was clean and the furnishings were nice. The lobby feels a little dated, but still a great place for a meeting.

We came to hear the jazz music at happy hour in the bar. If you've not done this -- even as a little local, you're missing out. Come, sit back and relax, and enjoy great music brought to you by local high schoolers. What a treat!

Went for dinner. Ordered the Sampler Appetizer. Was really good. Also had the surf and turf. Steak was awesome, garlic shrimp was excellent. Will definitely be back..

Accommodations are a little outdated with old tube tvs, I almost expected a rotary phone. Otherwise happy with my stay. The complimentary breakfast buffet is excellent.

The staff is easy to work with and the hotel itself is very nice. A bit on the older side, but the building has a huge live atrium in the center that makes up for it. It is located in a good place close to many things and has lots of food options nearby.

A little bit out dated, but overall a nice place. The hotel rooms were very spacious. Room was a little dirty should have called it in but we managed. The breakfast buffet had a huge selection to choose from and the omelet bar rocked.

I've been here three times over the year for various work related events, but never to stay over night. The venue is great, a little dated but over all clean and well maintained.

Both the staff are very happy to help assist you and the drinks are perfectly made, while a majority of the food is great, but some of standard food are a little lacking.

The location was easy to get to via GPS. Close to shopping center and restaurants. The room was as expected. King size bed. Clean towels. My only complaint was that our shower did not have a shower curtain

Rooms have great size,but run down, the mattress was separating, tv' s old and not very clear, pool was dirty and couldn't go swimming, and I went to find the ice machine was told it was by room 104 for the main floor which was opposite side of hotel, walked all the way over there and there was a out of order sign on it so couldn't even get ice. The only good thing about I was the breakfast which my wife and both liked. Which is why it got 2 stars and not one.

A perfectly acceptable place to stay if a bit dated and in need of a refresh. Reasonable prices and the breakfast buffet is surprisingly solid. I never complain about unlimited bacons.

This place is nice and the atmosphere is wonderful as well. Online when you view this Hotel states continental breakfast which we all know you get something just to get you by in the morning. Let me be the first to say that this is a Breakfast buffet you get!! It's darn near amazing and you cannot dismiss this! Even at the Marriott and other places you do not get the amount of food you get at Viscount Suite Hotel!! Now the rooms are nice but they do need an upgrade as far as the TV's and remote and the shower with little water pressure. AC needs to be re-worked to look nicer and the room needs to be a bit more contemporary. The room though is very spacious and I do love that! So this place gets 3 stars!! Also certain Dates will have local entertainers perform there as well, pretty cool!!

Had dinner and a beer at Wilburs. Watched University of Arizona football game. Been going to Wilburs for many years. Experience is a good most of the time.

Although Place needs little remodeling, it's a great hotel for the price we paid (we booked through Priceline). Breakfast was complementary, hotel and rooms were clean and staff was nice.
The only thing I didn't like was, there was a huge line at waffle and omelette counter and we couldn't get it (couldn't justify standing there for 20 minutes to get 2 while traveling with 3 kids).
It's nicely located with a great coffee bar and sprout close by (had to go and buy some stuff for kids ... LOL)

I go there for lunch often. The staff are great and the food is good and reasonable. I've been going there for years.

We drove across country this summer to see relatives in Tuscon , AZ. We traveled with our miniature poodle and found the Viscount Suite Hotel to be, by far, the best dog-friendly hotel that we encountered. Most important is that in the unbelievably hot, Arizona weather, the Viscount has tables in the air conditioned atrium where one can sit with the pooch. While there, you can order food and drinks from the adjacent bar and grill and, in the morning, one can get cooked-to-order food from the breakfast area and take that to the atrium. My wife and dog and I also enjoyed the large, clean and comfortable suite and found the hotel staff pleasant and gracious. The whole place was a delightful surprise and when we next come back from northern California to visit Tucson, we definitively plan to stay again in the Viscount.

Very nice hotel. Totally loved it. There was a chinese wedding when we arrived. It might have been Korean. I´m not very good at identifying either language. Anyway, everything is very good. Well, the breakfast could be better. It´s not life-changing.

Used the ballroom at the viscount for a formal event. Was the perfect size for around 50 people, the food was delicious and the drinks reasonably priced. Drinks were slightly stingy so 4 stars.

The hotel was nice, we attended a formal dinner while we stayed there over the weekend. The rooms were nice, the hotel catered food was OK. I would stay there again but would probably not have the hotel cater a meal again.

This was a nice upper scale Hotel if you come to tucson its a must and worth the money $$$$
