The Carlton Hotel, Autograph Collection welcomes you to NYC with boutique accommodations and an unparalleled location in NoMad as well as luxury amenities and world-class service. We have begun our very exciting multi-million-dollar renovation on guestrooms, meeting spaces, restaurant and public areas. The condition of the Hotel lobby and standard sleeping rooms, shall be the same in level of quality, appearance and functionality for our guests throughout this process. At this time our restaurant, bars, business center and fitness center are closed. Complimentary coffee & tea are available in the lobby. In lieu of our fitness center we are giving guests complimentary passes to Crunch fitness.

Hotel was under renovation without notice to patrons. However the foyer was beautifully Christmas decorated and the staff was exceedingly accommodating. The rooms while clean show obvious signs of wear and tear and showed why the ongoing renovation was indeed necessary.

Only saw as much as the lobby (went there to meet a friend who was a guest) but it was nice enough. Attentive, helpful staff and good free coffee always make me smile.

We stayed in a newly renovated room with king size bed. It was nice and clean. The room was a little smaller than I was expecting, but it wasn't a big issue. The staff was helpful and kind.

The room had recently been renovated and the finishes were nice enough. The key card did not work at first and had to be reset by the front desk. Not much in the way of amenities, likely due to the construction. Was placed in a handicap accessible room, but staff did not make that known at check in. Housekeeping came by early the morning of check out, presumably to start cleaning early. Other guests nearby had a dog in the room which was somewhat annoying.

I would like it more if the walls and windows and floors and ceilings were thicker. I can hear people showering and coughing next door and the construction going on is almost 24/7. The only saving grace of this seemingly run-down but 'classic style' hotel is that the staff is very sweet and helpful and accommodating. 5 stars for service 2 stars for the quality of my stay and I still have to deal with it for 3 more nights. Ugh.

A very good location in the Flatiron district. Service is Sid and reasonably responsive. Rooms are expectedly small and are in need of some renovations. If you can manage an upgrade to the next level room, it certainly feels worth it. They are going through a renovation right now until June (no restaurant, bar, health club), so you should get a discounted price t least until then. Iook forward to the updated property.

stayed here overnight, top floor, very quiet, clean. the hotel was not busy, but I could hear people in the hallway and conversations in rooms. wonder what it is like when more rooms are full. breakfast was good, but not great, with basic carbs, that do not spoil. pastries were bland., location great and safe,. staff helpful. would stay there again.

I stayed for the third time with my wife at this hotel. For me it is the best hotel in New York. Incredibly nice rooms, friendly service and a sensational ambience. The entire hotel is in the moroccan style, absolutely gorgeous. For couples in love just the right thing ..

Nice place. Very clean and great service. I picked the hotel because it looked the cleanest from the pictures, and the room I got lived up to expectations. Especially since cleanliness in New York is not always the easiest to find!

Great hotel, centrally located close to all the best sites in New York, love Madison park close by, friendly staff with great local knowledge (asked one where did we need to go for cheap breakfast, recommended Bread and butter two blocks over, go there, it's great) some rooms are smaller but clean and cosy, really lovely foyer, sit and watch the world go by, get a coffee from the free coffee bar which we took advantage of.
Walk to fifth avenue, go shopping, Maceys is just around the corner.
When we checked out, we needed a cab to JFK, no, we were taken to the airport by the the hotel Limo, same price as the cab, but so much more luxurious, we'll be booking into the Carlton next time we're in the Big Apple.

The whole hotel was very nice, the architecture was very beautiful and the interior looked fancy. The room was very spacious and accommodating. The only complaint I have is that the table in the main room was sticky like someone had spilled something on it.

Nice hotel, staff is super kind and very attentive. The 8th floors and up are being redone, HIGHLY recommend getting a lower floor to avoid the noise. I've stayed in many super nice hotels, if you like more of an old world experience vs modern & sleek (think crown moulding & gold fixtures) then this is your kind of place. We stayed in the Exec King and it was very lovely.

Nice hotel at a great price. Pretty central location, not super close to much be in the middle of everything. They were undergoing some renovations but nothing that bothered us. 4 stars for two reasons, the AC unit in our room did not turn off the first night, some issue with the controller, however we notified the staff and it was fixed the next night. Next I received a random $30 for the mini bar, however after calling the accounting group it was removed.

Very nice hotel however it is shown they are under a changing management as they are very disorganized. Requested extra bedding on our reservation and even made sure they could provide it multiple times, yet by the time we showed up they told us they messed up and didnt have anything. On top of that none of the safes they provided were operational. I really wanted to like this hotel overall, but they gave me many reasons not to due to the poor customer service. Hopefully it will be improved with new management as the hotel itself is beautiful.

I've stayed here a few times before and the service is always amazing. That being said this time i noticing a lot more the age of the hotel. Its definitely in need of a reno. The rooms are nice but you can definitely see worn out furniture, paint, fixtures ect. Some simple work will bring this place back to life.

Beautiful hotel, I'm glad I got to experience one of the best hotels New York has to offer. This is a pricy hotel but it's reflected by the service and hospitality of the staff that works here. The rooms were very comfortable and had a vintage feel that made it unique. I hope to come here again.

Lovely hotel with a beautiful lobby!! We stayed here last year when we were in NYC at Christmastime. It was magical! Easy to get everywhere from this spot. The rooms were a bit small and showed the age of the building, but were still very cozy and comfortable. The staff were great too! Would happily stay here again.

No smoking rooms, TV in the most awkward place have to keep head turnt. The bathroom floor is super clean with a way finish. Almost killed myself taking a piss. Service is good. If ur use to NY the noise is average. I had construction and slept like a baby.

Very nice hotel, centrally located in midtown. Only negative is hotel staff allows doors to slam rather than closing quietly. Wakes you up if you are having a lie in. Don't let that dissuade you from staying. Pool table in the bar was fun.

Very nice vintage style hotel. Staff was amazing and friendly and very accommodating. The only down side was the continental breakfast was small and not gluten free friendly. Other than that, it's a very nice hotel.

First time in NY. Very courteous and friendly staff. Rooms were a little worn, but not enough to complain. Mini fridge in the room wasn't working. Couldn't hear noises outside, but thin walls neighbouring rooms. 4/5 stars.

This place is so so overpriced....
But if you get a good deal through Expedia, it is fantastic. My two complaints are that the concierge gives bad information and it takes a long time for them to get and take away your bags when you request to take them away for a while. And a lot of the time elevators don't work
A really nice thing is that mat ace comes very quickly, I once broke a glass and they where up within 5 min

Loved it here! I came for an anniversary, the staff really went above and beyond to make it special and memorable. Room decor was lovely and clean. Lounge was good for drinks. Hotel staff was spectacular very wonderful, professional and attentive and even after we checked out the hotel staff was kind enough to hold our luggage while we sorted out the final details of our trip for the day. I highly recommend this location.
